IC: The World is different. After World War 2, Colonialism fell apart and many new nations rose up. But in this timeline, that has happened to less of an extent. Many nations still retain a few of their colonial possessions. The Spanish hold onto Cuba, Puerto Rico and Morocco. The French still hold Algeria, Nigeria, Sri Lanka and Indochina. The British have only retained New Zealand, Egypt and Barbados. The Dutch were hit the hardest, and lost everything but the Dutch East Indies.
The World After the latest major conflict, World War 2, is very different. Germany is unified, but Poland is split along Warsaw, as the allies thankfully got to it quick enough. The Soviet Union has a lot less influence now, and her reach goes as far as Bulgaria.
