Road to War:
20/9/2025 - Tarazed places sanctions on the Democratic Socialist Union in response to an apparent lack of safeguards within their AI research programs.
21/9/2025 - The Independent States of Tula release a statement which voiced their support for their Tarazedian allies, however they were reluctant to impose sanctions of their own on the DSU.
22/9/2025 - During a heated political rally, the chancellor of Amerika is shot and killed. The Amerikans quickly point fingers at the Tulans, citing that the deceased assassin was in fact linked to Tulan Special Forces. The Tulan government quickly dismissed these claims.
No too long after, the Newton Collation denounces the Tarazedian sanctions and moves more funding towards its AI research programs; resulting in additional Tarazedian sanctions as well as new sanctions from Scotatrova. Jordkloden also moves to condemn the Tarazedian sanctions.
23/9/2025 - The Tulan government supplies a plethora of evidence to refute the Amerikan claims before heavily embargoing the nation. The Amerikan government soon provides its own evidence and tensions between the two nations start to increase exponentially.
24/9/2025 - This announcement was soon followed by news that the Newton Collation had deorbited a number of satellites in Earth orbit and threatened to indiscriminately target Tarazedian satellites if the sanctions were not relaxed. The Tarazedian government took this as an act of war and swiftly retaliated, destroying the DSU Phoenix Rise Space Station before declaring that a unilateral state of war now existed.
Over the following hours, Tula and the Vaelgracht Union quickly declared war on the DSU; with Scotatrova quickly joining them. The DSU then declared war on each nation respectively in quick succession as the embers of the Phoenix Rise burned up in Earth's atmosphere...
World War 3 had begun.
NOTICE: ALL CAS region members are REQUIRED to have a spot on the map, before joining the RP. So if you are a part of the region, but don't have a claim the map, please TG me for a spot.
SECOND NOTICE(updated): Every week you are allowed to take one unclaimed nation around the nation you already claim and if you take the unclaimed (others might want it so that means war) you have to wait another week to move on to claim more. If the nation you want is blocked by a claimed nation they you must go to war to access that nation. You cannot annex unclaimed nations overseas only nations around your First Nation claim on the RP map, you only gain nations overseas by invading an already claimed nation and conquering that nation, thus having a nation overseas to claim nations in that region.
THIRD NOTICE:: Before officially taking part in battles and stuff. New nations must now post their RP country population size, and their army/navy numbers for both and active and reserved forces, before doing anything else. So I can see if it's realistic or not. If I see it's realistic in proportion to the map claim your country has, it'll be approved. If not, it'll have to be changed before you're approved. Though you can grow your army if you conquer territory.
LAST AND MOST IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you do not post in the RP for a matter of 12 days from the last time you have posted, I will remove you from the map, and thereby remove you from the game. You will then have to TG me to rejoin, and may lose your former territory during that time. So try to be active. If you have something keeping you away IRL, notify me about it. Otherwise you'll lose your territory. If a nation someone was at war with a nation that has become inactive, the active player(s) may seize all it's former territory.
ANNOUNCEMENT: As this RP is canon, Tarazed is the most advanced nation on the planet. Any advanced tech or weapons which surpasses me in advancement must have my approval before it can be used. TG them to me, I don't bite.
General Rules Summary:
1. Realistic numbers of your military in correlation to population and economic strength, if you should choose to use robots or droids, keep it realistic and detailed, I am watching.
Population of your picked country can be more or less than the RL population of that nation, but conquered territories population is that of the RL population. Nations in RL that reach over 1 billion, are capped at 350 million. You can still reach 1 billion via conquest.
2. There will be space weapons in the Tarazed-DSU War RP. Any and all deployments of WMDs require my direct approval. No exceptions.
3. If you should choose to use nuclear armaments and chemical weapons you can use each of them once.
4. There will be no god mode whatsoever, to god mod will result in a warning.
5. In regards to military equipment, be specific about what your military uses, (designations of weapon systems and vehicles etc.)
6. Repeated Godmodding will result in a banning, so if you have trouble RPing, send me a telegram. If a nation is banned from the RP for Godmodding for whatever reason, the claims become unclaimed and neutral again, they cannot be conquered by other nations for 5 days. The same rule also applies to inactive nations, who have not been at war with any active players.
7. Assembling troops to an war is an gradual mobilization process. Example: Instead of close to a million a once, do a sequence of around 100,000-350,000 gradual deployments and then gradual enforcements later.
Rules of War(These rules are a guideline to keeping it sane, they are not required to be followed. But if you don't follow them, then your nation is a tyrannical govt. If you do follow them, then you are abiding by the rules of war to ensure a fair fight) :
1. Persons outside the fight of combat and those who do not take a direct part in hostilities are entitled to respect for their lives and their moral and physical integrity. They shall in all circumstances be protected and treated humanely without any adverse distinction.
2. It is forbidden to kill or injure an enemy who surrenders or who is outside the fight of combat.
3. The wounded and sick shall be collected and cared for by the party to the conflict which has them in its power.
Protection also covers medical personnel, establishments, transports and equipment. The emblem of the red cross or the red crescent is the sign of such protection and must be respected.
4. Captured combatants and civilians under the authority of an adverse party are entitled to respect for their lives,dignity, personal rights and convictions. They shall be protected against all acts of violence and reprisals. They shall have the right to correspond with their families and to receive relief.
5. Everyone shall be entitled to benefit from fundamental judicial guarantees. No one shall be held responsible for an act he has not committed. No one shall be subjected to physical or mental torture, corporal punishment or cruel or degrading treatment.
6. Parties to a conflict and members of their armed forces do not have an unlimited choice of methods and means of warfare. It is prohibited to employ weapons or methods of warfare of a nature to cause unnecessary losses or excessive suffering.
7. Parties to a conflict shall at all times distinguish between the civilian population and combatants in order to spare civilian population and property. Neither the civilian population as such nor civilian persons shall be the object of attack. Attacks shall be directed solely against military objectives.
The weapons are for the most part modern/postmodern tech and it's set it an alternative universe where the year is 2025.
