Hogwarts Freed: Classes Back in Session

The Dark Mark Is no Longer Welcome Here

Today, Hogwarts is free! Scores of good-hearted witches and wizards with the help of the remaining like minded students banded together to reclaim the castle from the hands of the Death Eaters, who had taken the once proud school to twist the minds of young students to help them commit nefarious deeds. Under their management the school went into sharp decline from its classrooms to its outward appearance- the shabby upkeep of the castle and its grounds were immediately noticeable to the liberating forces.

With help from a few clever former students who possessed a special map of the grounds, the liberators were able to sneak into the castle through passages that even the most inquisitive students in the school’s history to explore the grounds didn’t know about . Once inside the castle, the group mustered its strength and rallied more to their cause in order to take back their beloved school and cast out once and for all the dark witches and wizards who had defiled it.

After they had gathered their strength they set out to fight what they hoped to be the final battle to plague the school. The opposing groups met face to face in the Great Hall and the action was fierce. Duels were littered across the expansive room and spells flashed through the air. After a few hours of proving the superior skilled, the courageous liberators emerged victorious as the death eaters and their ilk fled. While there are too many great witches and wizards that partook in the battle to name individually, the following organizations were part of the coalition to free Hogwarts:

Ten Thousand Islands Treaty Organization (TITO)
Lazarene Liberation Army (LLA)
Wintreath Hvitt Riddaral (WHR)
Taijitu Citizen’s Militia (TaiMil)
Spirtus Defense Force (SDF)
Texas Defense Force (TDF)
Founderless Regions Alliance (FRA)
Rejected Realms Army (RRA)
The Former New Zealandia Defense Army (NZDA)
United Defenders League (UDL)
South Pacific Special Forces (SPSF)
Renegade Islands Alliance Special Forces (RIASF)
Vvardenfell Buoyant Armigers
The Cavalry of DuckCrocs
The United Defender Brotherhood (TUDB)
The One Army

Over the course of the last couple weeks the grounds were systematically swept to be sure that no dark wizards were lingering and to begin to restore the castle to its previous grandeur. While the task will be a large undertaking it is the hope of the community that Hogwarts will re-open its doors and once again become a hub of learning in the magical world.

In my opinion it showed that defenders were able to work together and forget about this. But in all seriousness, LWU were really sloppy with their trophy. The founder had ceased to exist before this occasion, and the region was almost liberated then too. Something they should remember for next time.

Yeah, I mean, it certainly has some sort of emotional/ideological meaning, but it's practical purpose is fairly moot. I don't think any raider is going to lose sleep over a lost trophy.

oh god. Please don't bring up that conversation again. Last time it resulted in me getting my one and only moderator warning. Dumbledor's Army was actively purging Hogwarts of its natives, which were mostly puppets. My puppets to be more specific. They paved the way for LWU's destruction of the region. Had my nations not been banned from the region by Dumbledor's Army, I could have been able to do more to stop LWU from keeping the region in the first place.

These people would then go on to bait me repeatedly in the SC forum and via TG because I dared to put the integrity of the Security Council above their definition of defending. Then there was the defaming of me in that dispatch. The irony of it all was horrible. Here these guys were claiming to be defenders, yet took over a region from a native population, kicked the natives out, then unknowingly slandered one of Hogwarts' oldest natives remaining*.

Its actually funny how things work out. Had Gryff let me be delegate in Hogwarts back in 2012 (since I was new to the region, he was rightly suspicious of me), I may have never created Benevolent Thomas and went to 10000 Islands. But now the real defender of this saga liberated the region and will try to rebuild it.

*I say native, because that's how Dumbledor's Army would have viewed it at the time. I definitely didn't view myself as a native as I was mostly just sitting there while doing my TITO thing on BT.

TL;DR - I was once in Hogwarts and am back now. Looking forward to being part of a Hogwarts community worthy of its fandom.

Exactly! LWU didn't ruin Hogwarts, they made it a fair and equal place, where points are distributed on actual merit, and not because there's some sort of destined chosen one.

But turned it into an inactive puppet storage. At the very least now it will be an active puppet storage, and at best it may get a new thriving native community.

I didn't pass divination class, so I can't tell the future, but at least it has a better chance of a new life now than it did beforehand.

Who's gonna pay for recruitment? Who's gonna write the thread? Natives don't just magically appear in regions with communities, you do realize. Right?
