The Hunters Guild (REBOOT|Sci fi OOC)

Postby Abserdia » Tue Aug 25, 2015 12:48 pm

Co-OP: Serah
IC

Kulos was discovered recently. "Almost identical to Earth, with a lot of new elements we didn't even think were possible in our universe." scientists said. They chose enough people to form an entire country and some volunteers to colonize it. Less then several years in a traveling space Eden and a whole new world to learn about? Who wouldn't want to go there?

Two years in a space ship was surprisingly uneventful. Sure, some people died, but most people lived to see Kulos. Ah yes, Kulos. Filled with new elements not even possible on Earth, but every element on the periodic table is still here.
It was paradise, for about 2 years. Within the timespan of 2 years, a couple cities were built, towns scattered throughout the lands and trading was huge. But, monsters rose from the sea.

These monsters destroyed the towns and killed 4% of the population on Kulos within a week. In response, a group of scientists and officials created a army, named the Hunters Guild.

Their job was to stop these obstacles, named Kulians. They were given a suit of crystalline armor that varied in color, surprisingly flexible and light. However, to make it easier to run it didn't have that much in it, so a Kulian could easily break it open, but it offered enough protection against the smaller wildlife.

Along with the armor, they received weapons that could change into 3 forms and functions. It was made out of the same material as the armor, so it could break easier than most weapons but can cut through thick hides if the crystal is sharpened properly.

With the announcement of a amphibious Kulian attacking a fishing town named Moga, you were ordered to defend it. Your multi-purpose-weapon in hand and armor on, you approach the lizard at speeds faster than 400 MPH.

Bio:

Code: Select all
Name:
Size: (Please use both the metric system and the imperial system for less confusion to American or non-American roleplayers)

History: (Discovery of the species, studies, etc.)

Since the guild has had a lot of incidents with new hunters trying to cut through monsters that were way out of their league, the guild has established what would one call a ranking system.
To level up in rank, one must either:

-Be somewhat active.
-Be worthy of your reputation towards the guild
-Have certain items
-Finished a leveling mission
-Have won ranking matches against other hunters.

The ranks go from the lowest to the highest.

Rank C: With just about a thousand applicants, making it a thousand under-ranks, most missions from that level are low level, meaning it's mostly helping around the people, collecting objects and materials in harmless places etc.
Solo rank wars are allowed.

Rank B: About three hundred regular members, three hundred under ranks, missions from that level involve helping with the people at a higher scale, crystal hunting, and hunting small to medium sized Kulians, missions from rank C are still possible, even if they don't give any points towards ranking.
Team rank wars are allowed.

Rank A: Highest rank for someone normal, hundred and fifty elite members, hundred and fifty under rank, missions allowed here are usually high level and high risk missions such as hunting world scale kulians, crystal hunt, treasure hunt or even diplomatic missions, in those ranks, you can be chosen to wield one of the five black triggers, or be chosen to wield one of the legendary crystals.
Elite rank wars are allowed (Compared to the other ones, this one involves beating the enemy after completing a series of objectives in a hostile environment filled with kulians, of course, such things are Trigger related and are usually simulations.)

Rank S: Highest possible rank in the Hunter's guild, requires at least one of the following criteria:
Participated and won five real time world scale kulians/
Be in the possession and use of a legendary relic or crystal/
Be in the possession and use of a Black Trigger
or
Graduated from Rank A.1
Twenty hero class hunters, the missions there are usually of utmost importance and one cannot afford to fail, as such, hunters that have graduated in this class are treated just as importantly as a high level representative of a country.
Ironically enough, a rank C can graduate into that class if he or she has one relic or legendary crystal and can use it.

Green/Light blue: Furium, Most common, can be used by anyone in the guild, issued to everyone at first, the crystal is extremely light, bringing almost no defensive ability to the wearer.
However, it is extremely versatile, making it easy to recreate artificially on the field, making it virtually limitless in possibilities and in quantity.

Blue/ Crimson: Cerylium, less common, used by hunters who have gone up in rank, issued to the best trainees usually, it combines durability and lightness, however, it still is rather meek and feeble and won't protect you much from being crushed in absolute pain and agony.
It can make larger weapons, most bullets are made of the crystal, it can still be made on the field but it will take significant amount of time (30 to 40 seconds with furium, with this one, you take two minutes!)
Some use the crystal for fire making devices, if refined correctly, it can make extremely destructive explosives.

White: Atrilyte, rare, found in deep caves or in Kulian nests. Way more durable, two times stronger than titanium and lighter than a feather, it's extremely expensive due to the risk taken.
However, armors made out of the material will last longer than an alloy made of the two precedent crystals, and it can be used as an energy source for electrical based weapons or plasma related ones.

Orange: Terganium, rarer than the last, it is issued only to the best of the best, however, it is extremely versatile and one could even qualify it of sentient, the crystal lives with the wearer due to some connection still unexplained.
More often than not, the crystal will address their host and manage to create weapons beyond the imagination.
Rendering the three form weapon almost useless.

To this day, only ten people have it.

Dark Blue/ Black: Liosaryte, it is so rare it could even be considered a legend, to this day, only one person has found one, it is just as sentient as the previous one and even moves around, some legends in the villages and towns even say that it chooses its wearer.
It has been named like so by the one who found it first, he is considered a hero among the Hunter's guild.
However, it needs OBSCENE amounts of development for it to be correct, it has infinite potential and is said to work on the wearer's imagination for it to create things.

However, since it it needs such obscene amounts of development, it is still considered as a kid of sorts and won't protect or manage to hit hard, however, it gives a small control over an element, such as fire, earth, wind... depending on where it was found.
Meaning that even if it chooses you, you still need to wear armor over it to be protected.
The hero himself said that it needed just the same amount of years a human does to be completely mature, eighteen years.
Or course, it is still highly durable, however, when the wearer overrides the conscience, it enters a state of berserk where the armor is even harder and the weapons created hit with enough force to cut a Kulian in two from the head to the ground.

Purple: Segsum: Fairly rare, found usually in mountains, or a product of refinement between Cerylium and Atrilyte, oddly enough the refinement is more tiresome than finding the crystal itself.
Absorbs light, issued in some promotions.
Extremely durable almost on a Terganium level, however, it is very heavy, mostly used for buildings and vehicles.
Very few hunters have such a garb, but they are the only ones who can 'tank' a Kulian, most heavy bullets are made of it, rendering them extremely solid to break through armor.

Brown: Fasthatil: Rarer than Terganium, used in military armored buildings, extremely heavy armor and missiles.
Found mostly in volcanic areas.
One of the most durable metals on Kulo, of course, it is rather heavy, but the crystal seems to live with its wearer, making itself lighter when not wore.
Most hunters wearing that crystal are usually very competent, as they usually go and find it themselves.

Marine blue: Dreunese: Possibly as rare as Liosaryte, seems to be sentient as humanoid crystal shapes have been found roaming around the mountains then decomposing into an ore.
Rumored to be the toughest crystal to date.
No one has wielded to this day, however, like Liosaryte, it seems to have an affinity with an element.

Apart from that, not much is known about the crystal in itself, given the similarities with Liosaryte, it is rumored that the crystal chooses his wearer as well.

Normal rules. Keep it PG-13 or slightly above.

Name: Kura
Gender: F
Appearance: 5 foot 2 white female with short, slightly spiky black hair. She has a scar on her left hand and heterochromia. Blue left eye and green right eye. (Hehehehehe)
Age: 22
Why did you join the Guild: Needed a better paying job, and I was qualified. Also thought it could help other people.
Multi-purpose-weapon: MPB. Multi purpose bow. Can turn into a bow, a small hang glider, and a needle that can separate from the other forms.
Style: Finesse. She moves quickly, subtly, and precisely.

Bio: Born and raised in New York City by a middle class married couple. Kura inherited Heterochromia from her mother, and she doesn't have a last name because of some weird fad when her parents were 20 where you took your last name out of your name.

Her mother was a cop, and so was her father. Kura lived most of her childhood with her mother coming home the most she could, which was usually once a day after breakfast. She learned how to cook pretty early because of this.

She went to public school and befriended a few people there. For most of her life, she was spending time with them. Playing Half Life 4, stuff like that. But when she was 18, she was chosen to colonize Kulos.

She became an engineer in Moga and was incredibly friendly. She talked with the other residents quite often, but her personality could... change from time to time. Sometimes she could be freaking adorable and happy, next minute she would be smashing a wrench against your head.

When the Kulians attacked in 2, she joined the Guild. 5 months after the first attack, being 700 miles away from Moga in the middle of nowhere, AKA the HQ, she was called to help Moga with some other squads.

Aw you didn't put the crystal types.

Oh well.

I'm going to post them here just add them when I'm done.

They range from most common, to the rarest of rarest of pepes.

(Boy do I love to discourage trainees! Shut up Rostam.)
It can make larger weapons, most bullets are made of the crystal, it can still be made on the field but it will take significant amount of time (30 to 40 seconds with furium, with this one, you take two minutes! Joy amirite. Rostam, please.)
Some use the crystal for fire making devices, if refined correctly, it can make extremely destructive explosives. (BOOOOOOM Directed by MICHEAL MOTHERFUCKING BAY. ROSTAM GODS DAMMIT.)

White: Atrilyte, rare, found in deep caves or in Kulian nests. (Guess where that comes from ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). FOR FUCK'S SAKE.) Way more durable, two times stronger than titanium and lighter than a feather, it's extremely expensive due to the risk taken.

(It's like... A crystalline girlfriend or boyfriend if you swing the other way. ROSTAAAAAAAAAAM)
More often than not, the crystal will address their host and manage to create weapons beyond the imagination.
Rendering the three form weapon almost useless.
(HOW DO I GET IT OFF MEEEEEE!? Your problem now you obnoxious fuck.)
To this day, only ten people have it.
And the source is jealously kept within the high ups of the Hunter's guild.
(It's like a dog, stupid as heck, can't live without you, annoying to hell... But you still love it. Good point for once.)

Dark Blue/ Black: Liosaryte, it is so rare it could even be considered a legend, to this day, only one person has found one, it is just as sentient as the previous one and even moves around, some legends in the villages and towns even say that it chooses its wearer.

Is that good?

THIS LOOKS FUN
Above even The Boss
Feel free to contact me about any fantasy, sci-fi, or otherwise futuristic RPs, especially those involving aliens or other non-humans, especially if it is an original universe/idea. I also enjoy Mass Effect, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and many other things that transit to roleplays.

Well, the first is issued to everyone.

The second is a promotion.
The third is a BIG promotion or you found it.

Only one has the last and it need to develop.
The one before it also needs to develop but is way faster and it chooses it wearer.

The hero himself (Hey that's me! Shut up.) said that it needed just the same amount of years a human does to be completely mature, eighteen years.
Or course, it is still highly durable, however, when the wearer overrides the conscience, it enters a state of berserk where the armor is even harder and the weapons created hit with enough force to cut a Kulian in two from the head to the ground.

Is that good?

Seems fine.

Oh well.

I'm going to post them here just add them when I'm done.

They range from most common, to the rarest of rarest of pepes.

Don't mind Rostam being a dick throughout the thing.
Also, seriously, I didn't think you'd take the heterochromia too.

Is Kura a reincarnation to the possible daughter of the original Kura and Rostam?

Well anyway, my app will be ready in a few hours.
Right now, my internet's down and I only have my phone.
Apps are the worst things to do on it.

I really shouldn't join another rp.... But I like the concept, nice to see a reboot of this.

Name: Katherine Oryol (Oh yes)
Gender:F
Appearance:The one on the left, but older. Also this is her old crew
Age:28
Why did you join the Guild?: It was because it was part of my brothers will to take over his place in the guild. As well as because I need money and it couldn't hurt.
Multi-purpose-weapon: MPT. Multi Purpose Tank. A Panzer 3 that is highly automated, a mobile command center, a small metal shelter.
Style: When fighting humans, she uses mg ammo or runs them over. When it is a kulian, she uses the main gun and depending on their size, keeps her distance or runs them over.

Bio: Born in Alberta a full ten years after her older brother, she always looked up to him. When he went overseas, she started to study military doctrine of WW2 as well as how tanks worked. When she turned 20, she decided to make her own tank, a mock up of a panzer three. When she was 22 she finished it. She then went overseas and with a couple friends became mercenaries. Unknown to her, she would constantly clash with her brother as he was hired by the other side. When she turned 24, she got bored and joined the space ship to go colonize a new planet and found her long estranged brother. They spent the next two uneventful years on the planet catching up and exchanging stories, including that they often fought each other in their mercenary years. When the kulains started invading, her brother joined the guild after some mishaps and when he died, she decided to join.

You should add the crystal type.

You can either start with Furium, or Cerylium.
Your game, and if your character is a high end trainee, he can have the white one.
Atrilyte.
However the three last, including Atrilyte are simply to be found.
The post is up there for you to choose.

Name: Wayther Lareylis/Wayward
Gender: M
Appearance: Fairly tall, 1M95, fairly muscular, black dim light coming from the crystal on his right hand, usually pokerfacing, red paladin coat, lily shaped birthmark on his back, blue heterochromia, brown left eye.
Age: 29
Why did you join the Guild?: Well, since I found that crystal, it's been begging me to join it, I suppose I should since I did manage to discover some crystals.
Crystal: Liosaryte (Non developed 6years old only, it's more of an annoying little sister than an actual armor.) And Cerylium.
Multi-purpose-weapon: Gram: Sword created by the Liosaryte conscience, it seems unbreakable, and gives him a light control over the air, namely nitrogen, however, it is only around himself in an effective range of 3 meters.
Miriel: Inherited from his father, transforms from a shortsword with a shield that covers half the body, to a pair of double scimitars (or a really big one.) to a bow.
Along with lots of bombs made of Cerylium.

Style: Usually engages with a lot of bomb throwing then switches to Miriel, usually when things start getting longer and longer or that he starts to be a bit threatened by the situation, he pulls out Gram.

Bio: Not much is known of his life except the fact that he is the legitimate son of Rostam Lareylis, a former hunter that retired, he is extremely unemotional and usually is rather nonchalant and mysterious about everything.
Every time someone asks him about his former life, he dodges the question with another one.
(Q: How were you when you were a kid?
A: Do you remember how many breads you've eaten in your life?)
However, he reads people just as much as his father did, he often speaks of his sister and sister in law that were sent on the planet of Teos.

He will only disclose his birthplace to people who have his utmost trust, the only one to date that has this information, is the crystal.
Wayther mentions that if he mentions where he is from, everything will be answered about his past.

(Can I wing it with that? I'd rather have him develop his story in the IC.)
