Everything that led up to this conflict is a haze of the past. It has been a decades long growth of tension between East and West. Disagreements on economic policy, engagements in proxy wars, competition for the ever valuable resource of oil. All of this is only a fraction of what is the cause of what shall become the largest war in human history. This war, will be the war to end all wars. There shall be no escape. There is no neutrality. At some point or another, every single leader in every single nation will have to make the choice. East or West?

The East's agenda is to prevent the economic and military domination of the West. The West's agenda is subdue and control the violent East through economic means. Whichever side is right or wrong is irrelevant now. The war is going to happen. Tensions have never been higher and now, millions of men and women prepare to march to almost certain death fighting for their nations. At the same time, every civilian on the planet is in danger. Any city can and will become a battlefield.

"Yes I do think there will be a war with all these tensions between the East and West we can't avoid a coming war." Irons said.

"What do you think about the East?" The Interview asked.

"Well they just want take over other lands" Irons said.

"So I deeply hate the East." Irons said.

"Well thank you for answering our question mister Irons." The Interviewer said.

"No problem if you want another interview feel free to ask." Irons said after that he left the Interviewing room with his two body guards following him.

"Well that's it for this interview back to you Becky." The Interviewer said.

Soviet Troops Amass the Border with Europe

All across the Soviet-European border, Soviet troops have taken positions for what will likely be a full scale invasion of Europe. Analysts are expecting a full-scale Soviet invasion of Zaereas. As of right now, an estimated 142,000 troops are stationed near the Soviet-Zaereas border, and a Soviet cross into the Polish half of Zaereas is incredibly likely. A smaller force of 40,000 Soviet troops are also stationed on the Soviet-Baltic border. There is a possibility that the Soviets may try to invade and reconquer the three Baltic states. With the Soviet military force sits 2,324 tanks, 943 Fighter Aircraft, 422 Bomber Aircraft, and 2,674 Artillery guns. In the Baltics is the Soviet Baltic Sea Fleet consisting of 122 various ships including submarines, frigates, destroyers, and an aircraft carrier.

Back in Moscow President Mikhail Lavrenty spoke to the citizens of the Soviet Union.


"My friends, my fellow Soviets, today, we shall show the greedy westerners the error of their ways. No longer will their economic influence challenge and dominate us. No longer will they threaten and push us around on a global stage. They will hear the blasts of our tanks, the boom of our missiles, the march of our troops, and they shall tremble at the sound of our might. Today comrades, the world shall hear the roar of the Soviet Bear!"

"Will we have to go to war?" The reporter asked.

"It looks like it...we will come to aid our allies if the time comes." Punto Warren said.

"Will Kaiser Amadeus I bring military aid to our Eastern Allies? Reporter

"He told me that he would." Punto Warren

"Is our Air Force capable of defending our skies?"Reporter

"Yes, we have the latest Technology to intercept incoming planes thousands of Kilometers away."Punto Warren

"Will we be backing any invasions of the...European Countries?" Reporter

"Our army is able to back any invasion by our allies and we can commit ground troops. But, if you're asking about us invading.....I'm not at liberty to give that information right now, and I need to go." *Punto Warren decides to leave and goes back to Army HQ in the capital.

Stephane Le Folle sat in the chair. He looked down at his iPhone, reading the secure e-mail from the prime minister himself. He shook his head in disbelief as he continued to read.
"Sir, the press is waiting."
"I'm coming."
Stephane got up from the chair and walked towards the door that lead to the press room. He wondered why the Prime Minister himself ordered a press conference, and now Stephane knew. As he walked up to the podium the cameras flickered and flashed, photographing every moment of this historical moment. The aide began announcing how the order was to be in questioning.
Stephane coughed, and began,
"Today our nation, and our world stands on the brink of disaster. It has been reported that the USSR is now mobilizing its troops along the Zaereas border. A speech given to the USSR citizens by the Leader of the USSR, Mikhail Lavrenty, said and I quote:
"My friends, my fellow Soviets, today, we shall show the greedy westerners the error of their ways. No longer will their economic influence challenge and dominate us. No longer will they threaten and push us around on a global stage. Frentalia is stalwart in supporting our allies from aggressive USSR expansion. Speaking on this, we are going to enact steps to protect the national sovereignty of our western allies. First, we will be raising our military budget from 60 billion to 130 billion. Over the next few weeks we will be ordering more weaponry, tanks and fighter jets to prepare for any future aggression. We will also be drafting 1,000,000 more troops into our FRDF. Our military stands strong, our allies stand united. Questions please."
"Sir, will we be declaring war on the USSR?"
"No, not until they violate Zaereas borders."
"How will this affect our economy?"
"It may negatively impact our economy, but not to the point of collapse."
"Will we see rationing in Frentalia?"
"Not at this time. That's all the questions for now".

The press is concerned about the new tensions rising as Bevilla is small and is an island. John Bowith, President James' most trusted representative, adviser, and secretary, tells him about the press.

"The press would like to see you, you know, concerning the recent matters."

"Hello my fellow Socialists, today the Western Nations have decided to make the route to war inevitable. We will be increasing military spending, and will begin two new military exercises.
We will begin SNAP, the Siverian National Alert Program which will be a weekly test on defensive acts for our military. We will also be sending 100 Jets to our eastern allies, and a military exercise will take place in the Mediterranean. Our ships will be patrolling the waters, and launching missiles on Siverian Man Made Islands. Our defensive and offensive capabilities will be tested during these exercises, and we will be working on a defensive pact with our allies to deter western nations from interfering with European affairs. Thanks for listening, and remember, we will not back down."

within 15 minutes the staff had assembled downstairs.
" welcome. we need more military forces, how many can we mobilize?"
" 75,000 within 72 hours sir."

the meeting was over and Alex lit his cigar and drove off to the CNN station.

a half hour ready the set was primed and he began to read his speech.

" Hello People of the World. I have announced a no fly zone over all of Carriebean Territory. any plane or idiot who seeks to test my nerve by ignoring this, will die. I have also announced a build up in Military forces near Cuba. I cannot tell you the exact purpose of this movement, due to national security, but I can assure you all will be revealed soon. very soon!"
an evil cackling laugh is heard as the screen goes blank.

SUBJECT: Limitations

Due to recent events involving possible plans of war I have decided to limit my border availability. Any vehicle including cars, planes, and boats that is from the west will be immediately searched and temporarily taken until the Westerner leaves the country. All persons leaving and entering the country will be searched from head to toe and will be given tags to put on his or her clothes to identify Westerners.
If caught without this tag, you will be exiled from the country and all major belongings will be confiscated.

[Zaereas]

Erhardt Ruprecht, Führer of Zaereas, walked up to the podium. Dozens of cameras were trained on him, along with the eyes of 300,000 citizens of Nuremberg, eager to hear the news. Erhardt was quite a tall man, with a slender figure and swept back blonde hair, a style quite reminiscent of his predecessor. Lacking the pencil moustache, however, only a clean shaven face. He wasn't incredibly strong, nor was he brilliantly handsome, but he did have a way with words. Almost everyone, all over Germany and Poland was listening to what was about to be said:

"People of Zaereas. It is 77 years since our great defeat at the hands of the Communists. 77 years since our ancestors, our mothers, fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers fought and died for Germany. 77 years since our own people were raped and murdered and enslaved by the Bolshevik rats!"

Murmurs from the crowd. People were getting angry.

"Today, the soviet forces line up on our borders. Hundreds of thousands of armed men wishing to cleave a path from Warsaw to Berlin! They wish to subjugate our nation into their own regime, to beat and starve the people of Germany into obedience!"

Shouting now. The crowd was livid.

"Half a million soldiers of our own soldiers march to Eastern Poland to fight the red menace, to defend our Fatherland from invasion. Yet there are people in this country who do not wish for war. People who wish to just give up!"

Screams of anger from the roused people.

"I ask you, people of Zaereas, people of Germany, what do you wish? Do you wish to give up, to lay down and take it? Or do you wish to fight? Do you wish for war?"

The roar of "Krieg! Krieg! Krieg!" erupts, the crowd almost instantaneously makes a right handed salute.

"The Reds want war! We will give them war. A German war! A war unlike anything in the past! A war that will not cease until each one of the wretches lies dead in the fields of their precious motherland! We will not rest until each one of their cities is a smouldering pile of rubble, razed to the ground!"

There was never a sound more deafening. This was Erhardt's finest hour.

Eastern Front-2022

450,000 men march towards the front line. No fighting has started yet, but it undoubtedly will soon. Thousands of Leopard 2s roll alongside the Puma IFVs and Boxer MRAPS, creating an extremely mobile mechanised force. Behind them, jets and attack helicopters ready for the oncoming battle. In a week, war will begin.

No Entry Zone and Securing Borders Proclamation

Kaiser Amadeus I decided to invade the Israel area, and take the Suez Canal. The East Mediterranean and the waters south of Greece will be of limits to any nation that is not aligned to the East. Any ship, or plane will be intercepted and taken into the country, and the people in those vehicles will be arrested. The Suez Canal will be under Siverian Occupation to secure the sea routes to our eastern allies, and any nation that attempts to take the area or enter it will be hit by ICBMs, and other weapons. We hope that you keep the peace, and leave those areas alone.

Over the Turks and Caicos, great inagua island, acklins islands, and long island.

the helicopters and c-94 cargo jets took off at 1 in the morning as the troops began to parachute from the sky on each island, surprising the local American and British tourists asides from a band of drunk resisting rebels on the island of Rum cay,who were taken care of by a pair of BMP-1s, they took the islands compeltly by surprise. the carriebean flag was raised over the capital at sunrise. within 6 hours the islands were under carriebean control. the Operation wasn't compeltly costless for the carriebean troops though, as close to thirty men were killed by the rebels out of the 50 that had been sent to occupy it.

It was obvious to the Soviet leaders that the European front was going to occupy most of the focus for the Soviet Union. That being so, much of the armed forces were deployed to the Soviet-European Border, bringing the total number of defensive forces up to 600,000 active and ready troops. The remaining 2.2 million active troops and 1.2 million reserve troops would wait on standby should they be needed. With that, the Red Army has mobilized 750 Armata tanks to the European front for defensive measures in the case that the Zaereans attack first. Zaereas wasn't the Soviets main focus for now however. The main objective was recapturing all of the SSRs that left the union in 1991. Operation Red Return was set in motion.

On the Soviet-Baltic border, 120,000 troops were stationed and set to march into the Baltic states. With them, 200 T-90 and 100 Armata tanks took positions. At 02:42 on Sptember the 28th, 2022, the Red Army stormed all three Baltic states. Right off the back, ill-prepared Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian defenses were smashed by the swift and powerful Red Army Divisions. Military bases and towns were quickly captured. The leaders of the three nations moved quickly to convene and discuss how they were to defend from the Soviet attack. A strategy of Guerrilla and quick shoot and run tactics were employed by the armies of the Baltic sisters.

This was moderately successful in the first few days of the invasion. The tactics managed to slow Soviet advancements and put down morale. However, Soviet air strikes from MiG-31 and Su-35 Jets were too difficult to defend against. Estonian military stations and defensive perimeters were wiped out after 1 or 2 waves of air strikes. The outdated AA guns employed by the Estonians, Latvians, and Lithuanians were easily maneuvered around and defeated. After air strikes destroyed long range and surface-to-air defenses, Soviet forces were deployed from transport aircraft like cargo planes and helicopters.

As of now, the Soviets have made small, but noticeable advancements into the Baltic mainland.

[North Arkana]

North Arkana has, reluctantly, semi-aligned itself with the other Western powers. While their ideologies are from what North Arkana considered ideal, the open threats the Soviets, and their advance into the Baltic states, have made have put North Arkana on the western side of the fence, if only slightly. In fact, North Arkana is so slightly on the western side, it is more accurate to say that they are neutral with western leanings.
While not actively seeking war (unlike many of the western powers) North Arkana is committed to the free navigation of the oceans for all nations, and as such, views the announcement of a takeover of the Suez Canal to be unacceptable. As a result, all stationed Fleets have been placed on alert, and the Joint Mobile Fleet has been dispatched to the Mediterranean, under orders to maintain freedom of navigation for all nations wishing to use the canal. The announcement of deployment of the JMF, and the orders they have, are made public via broadcasted radio and television. In addition, diplomatic cables are sent to nations in the Mediterranean region, informing them of the fleet's deployment and its reason for deploying. Maximum transparency, as much is allowed while still maintaining operational security, is viewed as necessary to avoid any unfortunate misunderstanding.
