About Costa de Ouro
Costa de Ouro is an archipelago of nine volcanic islands located on a volcanic ridge in the Mar de Aviz region of Astyria. Its nearest neighbors are Cadenza and Trellin to the east, Aurelia to the southeast, Kelonna to the south, Jarridia to the southwest, and GHawkins to the west. Because of their volcanic origin, most of Costa de Ouro is not suitable for farming. Pascoa is made up of rainforest, while Santa Maria is very mountainous, with its Montanhas Negras mountain range. Other islands, such as Cibola, Sao Nicolau, Sao Jose, Natal, and Sao Mathieu are fairly flat and have sandy soil, making them not suitable for farming. On the other hand, both Antillia and Sao Antonio have land suitable for farming. Most of Costa de Ouro's population, which is one of Astyria's densest and most urban, lives on Antillia and Santa Maria, with eight of the top ten cities located on those islands. Sao Antonio is the third most populated, while the outlying islands have less population. In total, Costa de Ouro's population numbers 7 million people.

Costa de Ouro's economy revolves around tourism, with millions of people coming each year to experience Costa de Ouro's pretty beaches, coral reefs, and historic, colonial architecture. Many tourists come from Nikolia, Jarridia, GHawkins, and Cadenza, due to their relative proximity to Costa de Ouro. The second most important industry is fishing, with mackerel, tuna, lobsters, and shellfish plentiful in the coral reefs and EEZ. Other industries include biotechnology, luxury goods such as watches, services for Nikolian and Kelonnan military bases, and providing fuel for GHawkins military transports. Exports mainly consist of fish, and to a lesser extent, biotechnology and luxury goods.

Most Costenhos are either African, Creole (a mixture of African and Portuguese), or Portuguese. Sizable minority groups include Trellinese/Cadenzan and Nikolian. The official language of Costa de Ouro is Portuguese, while Creole, African languages with Portuguese mixed in, is also common. Minority languages include Trellinese and Nikolian. Most people involved in the tourism industry, including sports tourism, speak English and Nikolian as well, and some speak other languages to accommodate other foreign guests. As for religion, most people are Catholic, with a growing minority of evangelical Protestants. African religions and combinations of African religions and Christianity are also fairly common.

Costa de Ouro was settled by the Portuguese as a slave-trading outpost, sugar plantation, and supply stop on the way to the New World in the early 1500's. Costa de Ouro's early history was marked by tensions between slaves and masters, including frequent escapes and not-as-frequent revolts. In 1910, after the overthrow of the Portuguese monarchy, the deposed monarch was exiled to Costa de Ouro. When Costa de Ouro gained its independence in 1975, King Joao became the first king. In 1983, an isolationist, authoritarian right-wing dictator and former military officer, Marcio Marcelo Gouveia, came to power in a bloody coup of the king. He exiled the monarchy and remained in power until 2011, when he died to mostly everyone's relief. He was replaced by King Fernando, who soon died after gaining the throne, and passed it on to King Pedro, who rules today.

Costa de Ouro is currently a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary democracy. King Pedro I, of the House of Braganza-Silveira, is the current king. In parliament, currently, a liberal party is in power, although a conservative party has been in power previously. By many standards, Costa de Ouro can be classified as moderate to liberal. Gay marriage is legal but abortion, exceptions only in cases of rape and incest, is illegal, as is marijuana usage. Costa de Ouro's government maintains a policy of neutrality to avoid the violence of current pan-Astyrian conflicts, as well as to encourage citizens of both sides to visit Costa de Ouro. Accordingly, Costa de Ouro's military is small, although fear of Gouveia's standing military also contributed to this decision. Nikolia and Costa de Ouro share very close relations, and Nikolia is pacted to defend Costa de Ouro if it is ever attacked.

About Morroseta
Morroseta is a small country numbering around 3 million people on the coast of the Mederano sea on the continent of Teudallum, in Astyria. It only has one land border, with Sycoon to the east. Etlaurlande is close, to the south, while Dungeyland is fairly close to the north. Major cities are Morroseta and Vilanca, while the Sao Lourenco Valley is in the center of the country. There are two medium-sized islands off the coast of Morroseta. Like Costa de Ouro, Morroseta is majority Catholic, although its population is more European due to the lack of a significant slave population. Main languages are Portuguese and Creole; English and Nikolian are also spoken in the tourism industry.

Morroseta and Costa de Ouro share a similar history and culture. Morroseta was founded by the Portuguese around 20 years before Costa de Ouro, in the late 1400s, as a trading post and supply station. Eventually, in 1970, Morroseta gained its independence as a semi-presidential republic. Morroseta's economy is based mostly off tourism, including the beautiful island of Santa Catarina, and Nova Ceuta's historic architecture. Other industries include fishing in Morroseta's waters and agriculture in the Sao Lourenco Valley. Morroseta is one of Costa de Ouro's main sources of food, in fact.

Transportation
Javelin Airways, which has links to a good number of sporting regions, operates a hub out of Antillia Sonhos International Airport, which is the main airport for Costa de Ouro. Global Wings Airways and a number of other Astyrian airlines operate out of both Antillia Sonhos and Morroseta International Airport, Morroseta's main link to the outside world. There are frequent air services between Morroseta and Costa de Ouro, around three times a day. In the islands of Costa de Ouro, plane, train, and boat all compete for passengers between the islands. There is a large, high-speed rail network connecting Albergaria at the southern end of the island of Santa Maria and Monteverde on Antillia; smaller railway lines connect other parts of the island. A high-speed rail line does connect the main airport at Antillia Sonhos and Antillia, as well as the cities of São Alberto and Monteverde. Ferries connect all of the main airlines to each other. In Morroseta, high speed rail connects all the main cities - along the coast and into the interior - to each other. Morroseta and Vilança are fairly close to each other on this line; Vilança is the main hub of Morrosetan rail transportation. Within each of the cities themselves, there is a dedicated subway and/or light rail system to bring players and spectators from their hotels to the venues.

Notes
The Avissian Union's men's and women's volleyball teams both did well, but not exceptional, at the Games of the IX Olympiad in the Kytler Peninsulae, where they debuted. In the group stage, the men's team had an almost perfect run, going undefeated and only dropping three sets. They made the quarterfinals, where they met up again with group stage nemesis Rezynistan; while they had proceeded against the team in the group stage, they unfortunately failed to repeat their feat, losing in a disappointing four sets. The women's volleyball team did slightly worse in the group stage, dropping six sets, including two in an extremely close match against Nova Anglicana in the last group stage play - the Avissian team only prevailed 21-19 in the fifth set. They, too, advanced to the quarterfinals, but fell to the hosts Kytler Peninsulae in an extremely close three sets.

The Avissian team has an attacking-oriented, but flexible, formation. Catarina and Sonia Magalhães round out the setting portion of the team, being extremely tall and agile (especially for women) to set up the spikes by their teammates Crístovão Ivo Gomes and Lucas Ferreira. Ferreira and Gomes also serve roles in digging and returning serves and spikes. Cassandra Maria Gouveia and André Alves, the libero, focus on the defense most of the time, preparing to dig spikes and set the team up for sets, which in turn, set the team up for an attack. Gouveia, Gomes, and Ferreira are likely the team's best servers.

Notes

Protectorian society is radically egalitarian and practices a form of democratic, non-Leninist, non-Marxist, communism. As it is contrary to community values for Protectorian adults to compete in sports, Protectorian athletes must retire at the age of 27 when they obtain legal adulthood under their nation's laws. The other requirement is that Protectorian sports teams must set aside quotas for male and female athletes, with a goal of 50% male and 50% female representation on all rosters and equal playing time for both genders. Adults are permitted to coach teams, though coaching staffs must consist of a committee of at least 3 coaches, with all of them considered equals. Athletes are required to put the good of the team first, rather than themselves or face removal from the team for acting in an anti-social manner.

This team was formed by the Protectorian government to promote goodwill among nations and expose the rest of the world to the Protectorian variant of communism. 3 of the most well-regarded volleyball coaches in the community were selected to coach the team and each of them selected 4 players, 2 male and 2 female, to produce a full roster of 12 players.

RP Permissions

I give my opponent permission to do anything they want, except kill my players (without prior permission).

Your Community Today

Community to participate at Volleyball World Expo

The first Volleyball World Expo in many years will be held in the coming days and will take place in the land of Costa de Ouro, the Gold Coast. While volleyball is apparently not a popular sport outside of the community, it is one of our more popular sports and we are pleased to report that we will be making our international sports debut at this event.

A Coaching Committee of Fedro Bergamaschi, Walter Piazza and Odetta Sal have been selected to coach the Community Volleyball Team. They had selected a squad of 6 boys and 6 girls who represent the best volleyball players that the Community has to offer. According to Coach Odetta Sal, "These 12 young Protectorians have distinguished themselves for their exceptional skill in the sport of volleyball and we believe that they have what it takes to lead us to success in international competition."

While 12 players have been chosen, Walter Piazza has come under criticism in some quarters for choosing his younger sister Ortensia Piazza for the team. However, Coach Fedro Bergamaschi confirmed that he, not Coach Piazza, selected Ortensia for the team and that he did so on sporting merit. He told reporters for Your Community Today, "While I understand that this decision appears to have been motivated by motives unbecoming of Protectorians, such as selfishness and nepotism, it is not actually as it seems. When I chose to include Coach Piazza's sister on the roster, he was very insistent that I not do so, over concerns that it would appear most unseemly. However, in the end, I was able to help Walter realize that it would not be selfish and unfair to punish his sister because her brother is part of the Committee."

Indeed, upon discovering the facts, it is admirable that Coach Piazza would permit the appearance of something unseemly while he was actually doing the right thing. It'd be too easy to have just found some other girl for the team, but its evident to observers of first-rate volleyball that Ortensia Piazza is one of the most capable players that you will find anywhere in the Community.

The Volleyball World Expo will start in a matter of days with a 3 matchday group stage. The top 2 teams in each group will advance to the Round of 16 and it will be single elimination from there on out. Our team were drawn into Group A, where we will start with the team from Taeshan. The Taeshani team appears to be an all-male team coached by a single coach. Zackary Johnson, their opposite hitter, is actually playing in the tournament despite being 27 years old and, therefore, too old for sports. The second opponent for our team is Armeia, who are apparently waiting untill the last minute to reveal their roster. Finally, we'll face The Avissian Union, which appears to include the hosts and seems to be a mixed gender team. They do not list player ages on their roster. Unfortunately, little is known about any of the other 31 teams participating in this tournament, since the last international volleyball tournament was so many years ago. Indeed, it is well past time for top-flight international volleyball to return and it is well past time that Protectoria became more active internationally to spread the good news about the equality of man to nations that are still kept unequal.

In a press conference led by coach Anita Tremarie, the Estelarian Volleyball Federation, which half of the country's population didn't even know that existed, announced the list of players going to participate in the Volleyball World Expo. Accordingly to the coach, the decision of which players to choose was very difficult, in part thanks to the big competition in several positions, and also in part because there was a long work involving the idea of how to coordinate the astrology charts of the players, in special the starters. As everyone in Estelar knows, even more important than the individual abilities of the players is how they will work together, and the Federation simply couldn't allow to take a chance and call players with conflicting birth charts. Coach Anita (Virgo) said: "You know, when I was a professional player, I always had problems with Gemini and Aries players, and thanks to that we lost several titles. I also have an ex-girlfriend who is a Gemini with the ascendant in Aries and now I know why our relationship never worked out and was a true hell, I should have asked for her astrology charts before going out with her but, well, this isn't relevant here, that's something I'll bring to my next session with my analyst... what I mean is that with these experiences I learnt several lessons involving team chemistry and I want to reproduce them on the squad."

In the end, even after saying this, Anita called Zélia Gutiérrez to the team, a Gemini. When asked about this contradiction with her earlier comments, she just answered: "Well, you know, she is the best player of the country and, after taking a look at her entire birth chart, we noticed that most of the planets are positioned in good houses and in better signs, which point to a good ability of working with the team and resisting pressure, so in the end everything can be explained, all right?" The list of players can be seen below, in shirt number order. On paper it seems to be a good team, with athletes coming from the best squads of the country, but Estelar still has lack of experience in international level, only assembling a National Team before for friendly events.

The list - with positions and sun signs:

1- Adriana Calixto - outside hitter, Sagittarius
2- Zélia Gutiérrez - setter, Gemini
3- Vênus Sobral - middle hitter, Aquarius
5- Alisson Leonoff - outside hitter, Virgo - team captain
7- Rachel Lins Regueiro - middle hitter, Pisces
8- Helena Arrows - libero, Virgo
11- Camille Geronimo - outside hitter, Cancer
13- Viviane Tigre - opposite, Scorpio
15- Kate Horus - setter, Virgo
17- Bianca Rodríguez - opposite, Sagittarius
18- Dina Ursa Maior - middle hitter, Capricorn
22- Atena Suzuki Lippe - outside hitter, Taurus

Usual starters are: Zélia, Alisson, Vênus, Viviane, Adriana and Helena

She literally leaped at the opportunity to coach the team, and as she is in excellent physical shape she can still play if her team really needs her.

"Yeah!Natanians and Nosts debuts its first VWE game with an amazing win 3-0 against Krytenia!
After an easy first se won by a difference of 15 points, the Krytenian team came stronger for the second set(25-21) and extremelly dangerous in the third set, that was decided by more than 25 points.
All we needed to win the third set was patience. Our team was pretty good at the first se and at the second set, untill the second technical time-out,when Krytenia started to play,we won the second set, because we had been winnig that since the beggining, but whe the third se started, the match started too, that set had several rallies and beautiful points! We were lucky because we had spiked better and our defensemen were better prepared, but their serves were a little better than ours. The great name of the match was Ion Natan dos Santos, who scored 30 times, and our setters were smart enough to start to use more the 'pipe' when their blockers started to really block, but our team have been showing all the time desire, capacity and hability to win the game.
Now our job is to focus at the next game against Breitenfeld-Sibbesborg,which gave some difficulty to Yttribia, mainly in the first set, which they've won by 30-28."

The Rundown

It's been many a year since not only the last World Volleyball Expo, but even more since the last time west guiana appeared in one, which was the teams first and last. All the records of that one apperance have been lost to time, or destroyed for what ever reason. But one thing is for sure, that we know of there is one remaining member of that squad alive, Sylvia Slunder now Sylvia Morris.

Mrs. Morris is now 94 years old and currently living at the Estvile Assisted Living apartments, but when she first played for the natioal volleyball team in the fourth expo, she was only 26 and fresh out of college, she had just graduated the spring before with a degree in secondary education. She couldn't though find a job in a at that time market that had excess of teachers, so she started to play in a non-professional amateur volleyball league in Calhun County, Aluersia.

I played beach volleyball for that summer, I was unable to find a job in the local school system so I decided that I could at least play the sport I enjoyed while in college. There were ten teams in our little league, we didn't get paid and not many people came to see us play, but that was fine with us.

We played each team in our league twice, and the team I was on the North Fork Doves, we won our league that summer. We didn't have any playoffs or anything, just who ever ended on top at the end of the season was the champion. Our court we played on was sand, though some teams played on dirt or cement, we rented out two small bleachers for any fans to watch. Admission was free, but still some games we'd only have three or four people watching.

It wasn't till the end of the season that we all got in the mail of this man in St. Johns that wanted to create a national volleyball team and send them to the World Volleyball Expo. Tryouts were a few days after our last game and several girls and I traveled to St. Johns for the tryouts. The tryouts last for three days, we each showed off our skills, mine was I could serve up a fast ball that the opponent had no time to react to. After three days we looked for our names on the wall, and I was shocked to see that I made the team.

I signed my contract which included a $200 sign-on bonus! I was so excited, I called my parents each night to update them how things were going. After two weeks of practice we received our first checks, $550, I of course sent about 200 of that home to my parents. About a week latter we boarded our plane a flew to the expo. We all were excited and nervous, but still, happy to be the first national volleyball team.

We did well in group stage, we were placed in with power house 95X and knew each of those matches would and were tough, we ended up losing to them, but were honored of playing against the best in the world at that time. We advanced to the round of sixteen only to lose, I forgot who we played, but I do think we lost in five sets so we showed that we were no push overs. I was upset to see after our one appearance that the national team was disbanded, but our own ticket sales didn't go well out of 5,000 tickets that were for sale only 200 were sold. I am pleased to see that the country is giving our girls another shot and I do hope they make the best of it.

After the Match

Briefly after the match, the Armeian players met with Sporternav reporters before leaving the arena. "Do you know what your team did wrong today?" asked a reporter to manager Vlad Stojanovic.

"No," replied Vlad, visibly annoyed. He was ready to go, but the federation required that the team talk to the media after matches. "If I knew, we wouldn't have lost. Now, do any of you have real questions?"

"Yes, is there a story behind Justina Sonnen's under-performance, like an injury that we don't know about?" asked the same reporter.

"I don't know," shrugged Vlad. "Ask her yourself."

The reporter nodded and repeated the question to Justina, who glared at him. "No, you mong, I wouldn't have played so bad if I knew what was wrong."

"Do you have an explanation to all the fans that traveled to see you play?"

Justina didn't reply, and her teammate Jana approached the two. "We're done here," she said. "And who the hell are you anyway?" she added, turning to the reporter.

"I'm a qualified reporter, I should be asking you that after your no show performance," said the reporter indignantly. "But if you must know, my name is Link Karlsson."

"Well, Link, I'm telling you to piss off, we answered your questions already."

"At least I'm doing my job," said Link, and Jana lunged at him, hitting him hard on the side of the head with her elbow.

"What the hell!?" he shouted as he wiped blood away with his sleeve, staggering back and falling to the ground.

"Next time, leave when we tell you," Jana said roughly, before leaving with the rest of the team, who were equally pissed off because of the loss.

"Neu Engollon, I'm so glad to be here! My name is Jacqueline Pleuvar, the newest hostess anchor NETV. You can call me Jackie. Right now you're watching the NETV Sports 19 Special Update.

A momentous evening tonight as we saw the introduction of the mixed gender volleyball team of the Confederacy compete for the first time and win their first game, as well. While for other nations, it would not seem to be a newsworthy event, for our nation, and especially for our women folk, it most certainly ranked up in the historic sports highlights. Not only has Neu Engollon never played volleyball Internationally, but they've also never fielded a mixed gender team Internationally, either.

I will be ridiculed and maybe even scorned and threatened for saying the following, but I have vowed and been encouraged to speak the truth. While the Confederacy prides itself on being one of the top democratic, Westernized, civilized nations in the multiverse, it has a long way to go towards equal rights, respect and treatment for females. That is the plain and simple truth of it.

Ideally, we would have seen an all female team on that court tonight, but...We got the next best thing...A team where men and women hold equal prominence. Baby steps I guess, eh?

Let's move on to what you sports fans want to hear, the real action. An opening serve from Arlene Poydras of Cosumar started the match and the volleys progressed rapidly from there to an incredible set up by Marie DiBrizio and Alan Goerdel for Jillian Sarpietro, who spiked the ball over Elodie Seydoux, not once, but twice. That magic combo would come through later in the match, as well as time and again throughout the whole set to be the go to killer squad for racking up the points.

Cosumar hung in there and we saw some spectacular plays from their team...most notably, Morrigu and Dover, who seemed to have a very familiar working relationship together. They were able to rescue each other off some desperate digs. Due to them and some solid playing from the rest of the Cosumar team, the series went the whole set. Ultimately, we saw the Ibex triumph over their adversaries and take the set.

A foundation has been laid, and we expect the Ibex to continue on with their next series, this time against Luxdonia. You can catch it right here live on NETV Sports 19, tomorrow night. Stay tuned for previews after the break..."
TG me with questions if you got some, especially about GE&T or PMCs.

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ABANHFLEFT
WOMEN'S NATIONAL VOLLEYBALL TEAM

This will be the first time that Abanhfleft will participate in an international volleyball tournament. While volleyball is very popular in the high school and college levels, there is not as much interest in professional volleyball, and the biggest professional volleyball league in the country is composed of only ten teams that play with semi-professional players in front of stadiums that are only a quarter full. But the Volleyball Federation of Abanhfleft hopes that with the inclusion of the national team to the Volleyball World Expo VII, interest in the sport within the nation will increase.

TRANSCRIPT, UNION 24/1 NEWS, NEW HAYESALIA'S SOURCE FOR NEWS

"And now to sport with Richard Belmy."

The screen switched to an older man with a clear set of muscle, graying hair atop a smiling yet professional face - wearing a tie for the New Hayesalian national volleyball teams, the Sunstrokes and the Flares.

"Well the news is good for the New Hayesalian combined volleyball teams, who are about to kick off at the Volleyball World Expo in Costa de Ouro."

The screen switched again, showing the main and second teams of the national teams comprising six women and eight men having a practice games as their coaches watched.

"They've practiced hard, the now they're ready to spike in the competition." the female reporter began, pun obviously intended.

"So happy to be here," began competitor Hannah Mosen "being able to represent New Hayesalia and all the girls in the Sunstrokes."

"The competition is tough- some of the best nations in the world in the sport have been put up in the New Hayesalian group. And not just that, but tall."

The camera switched to one of the girls from 95X's team, standing at 7 foot next to one of the New Hayesalian girls.

"The New Hayesalians are just as tough and will be headed up against 95X, Alastonia and Quebec before hopefully advancing to the Round of 16 and then the finals."

TRANSCRIPT, UNION 24/1 NEWS, NEW HAYESALIA'S SOURCE FOR NEWS, NEXT DAY

The report switched, going back to Costa de Oura for a quick checkin.

"A tough introduction to the Sunstrokes and the Flares in the Volleyball World Expo, with their first match against powerhouses 95X resulting in a loss."

"Ah well you know you lose, but comebacks are always a great possibility!" the team Captain, Peter Cheage laughed and said.

"The team didn't lose by much and put up a fighting show, and their coaches are now able to analyse how to team performed on the court and are sure to be making adjustments."

"It's only baby steps a lot of it," team coach Geoff String began. "But every lesson learned is another step closer to winning this competition. We're very much still in with a chance, and a fighting chance."

"The team needs a couple of wins to advance to the Round of 16, and they are striving for volleyball glory."

"It's our passion and it's our profession. We've all got the winning spirit." Peter Cheage said, ending the report.

Live coverage of Volleyball World Expo VII on A-Sport, Alastonia's home for sports news

Alastonia's national volleyball team got off to a strong start at the Volleyball World Expo on Monday, with a win over the Royal Kingdom of Quebec in three sets.

Alastonia got took set one 25-22. After multiple lead changes, Alastonia was able to pull away late, securing an early 1 set to none lead. Alastonia would have to rally in the second set, after falling behind by as much as 14-6, before evening the score at 20. A 5-1 run from there would give the set to Alastonia.

In set number three, it would be Alastonia leading all the way. The Royal Kingdom of Quebec was able to keep within striking distance, but could never close the gap, as Alastonia took set three for a 3-0 victory.

"I was really impressed with how we played today," said Alastonian coach Stacy Landry. "We weren't sure how we'd perform, but we came with a lot of composure. It was a tough game for sure, they (Royal Kingdom of Quebec) are a tough group, and they definitely made us work for it. Now we just have to keep it up."

Alastonia will now head into the second day of group play against New Hayesalia, who lost their first match to 95X in straight sets. Coverage will be live on A-Sport.

Group G
Royal Kingdom of Quebec: 22 - 21 - 22

from the Pacific City Courier:
95X Victorious in Volleyball Opener
ANTILLA, COSTA DE OURO—Ai Onefortythird had a lot to like about her team in her international coaching debut, as 95X swept New Hayesalia 3-0.

The 95Xers opened the match with an 11-0 rally that included 3 aces, and two kills by seven-footer Ashli Xxz. Xxz was the show-stopper for 95X, dominating play throughout the match and was instrumental in securing set point in sets one and two.

New Hayesalia responded in set three, building a 7-1 lead as Onefortythird rested her key starters. That's when Xxz and Elise Orland returned to the game, combining with powerful reserve Josie Jones, who returned 95X to the game and evened the score at 11. A back-and-forth game ensued, and neither side led by more than two points the remainder of the way.

With set three tied at 24, Onefortythird called her final timeout, and insisted her players focus on each volley as it happened. 95X returned to the floor with the serve, and Terri Fillmore would eventually send the ball into the left backcourt to put 95X ahead 25-24. New Hayesalia tied the game for the final time at 25 on a Peter Cheage kill, however the newcomers scored their final point. 95X went on to score the two additional points needed for match point.

Reported Disrespect Not Taken Disrespectfully
PACIFIC CITY, 95X—Administrators in offices back home seemed more concerned of reports in the New Hayesalia media than the 95X Volleyball World Expo Team did.

"Our athletes are playing at the highest level possible," stated Vice President of Public Relations Stephany Ridgegate, who played for 95X in Volleyball World Expo Five and Six. "To state they are anything other than 'women' is of grave concern to us."

Ai Onefortythird was made aware of the situation following the team's win against the aforementioned New Hayesalia, who stated she would tell her team at the appropriate time.

"This is the first international win for all of us," she said by phone to the Courier. "If this were the international press covering the NVL, I'd shrug it off as an outsider seeking casino entertainment. Not everyone is aware of the deep respect 95X has for us athletes."

Reports at press time indicated Onefortythird explained the situation the following morning; her team unfazed.
