The steady beat of drums can be heard throughout the islands and jungles of Badassistan, for decades the nation has gone through major militarization and industrialization in order to stay on top of its not so human neighbours and this led to the creation of one of the largest standing military forces the world had ever seen.

The Country of UM has recently transitioned from a peaceful, anti military nation to a country in a state of constant fear, due to the border of Volkstrad and Vukmire, heavy industrialization boots up the economy from average to thriving economy. Military development has reach a record high. Defense Spending is also at a record high, as it is 15% of the GDP

The USP is possibly the most industrialized country in the world, and reaps great amounts of resources from its expansive and diverse lands. However, it turns this power for good, and remains a bastion of peace and equality. Since it's an alternate world, civil rights may or may not be at 2085 levels.

Togeria is at a state of peace, though weary of its southern neighbor, and alike to the one up north. Fresh conscripts train in the forest and desert alike. Some soldiers say it's almost like war itself, but nonetheless they train harder, and harder each day. Determined to fight off any and all threats.

UM uses its vast metal, mineral, and oil increasingly for military use, though, a surplus is still given to the citizens for their necessities

In hopes for peace, Togeria invites Badasstian officials and leaders to come to the capital, as to increase trade and relations, and maybe unite the Island.

He says with venom. He continues to polish and examine his rifle, a picture of the Badasstian chancellor next to him, multiple bullets in it.

The chairman goes to shake the chancellors hand, a big smile on his face. The people seem to be celebrating as at this moment fireworks erupt, drowning out nearly all the sound. Hotori looks on with his rifle, pointed at the back of the head of Supreme Chancellor, as the fireworks erupt.....he takes the shot.

Time appears to slow for the Chancellor as the bullet strikes him in the back of the head and eventually he falls dead. One of the two guards pulls their fallen leaders body back into the vehicle while the other swiftly grabs hold of the chairman and executes him with a pistol before hopping into the cars driver seat and fleeing the scene. Word of the assassination quickly reaches home as a grand mobilization of the military swiftly begins.

The responsibility of office for time being falls on the Chairman's wife, as authorizes the 34th infantry and 54th to head to the city of Midpoint(that strip of land that connects Togeria and Badasstian.)

King Ælfric Vilhjalmsson met with the Chief of the People's Council today on furthering the progress of Socialism amongst the Volkstradi Empire. As is custom, soldiers in full uniform, axe-bayonets attached, stood at attention outside the building during the meeting.

In the South, yet another ancient burial ground was unearthed. Found were numerous artifacts further elaborating on the progress from the Ancient Anglo-Saxon spoken across the region to the Modern Anglo-Saxon we all know.

The 12th, 76th, 100th, and 209th Infantry divisions are fielded to the border along with the 3rd, 6th, and 20th Serpente Tank divisions (Basically an advanced panzer). Meanwhile ST-1 pilots prepare for take off.

In the skies the ST-1 squadrons begin carpet bombing runs of the city while being escorted by fighter jets.

A few tanks arrive as they begin to fire on the Badasstians, troops on the gound take cover from air. Some artillery is blown away, but the few that manage fire on the infantry. A squadron is prepared of T-fighters and bombers.

The carpet bombings continue as the Serpente divisions begin to focus on the newly arriving tanks and the infantry begin to take cover from the artillery fire however casualties are sustained by the artillery.
