Your Majesty, your country is poor after Belgium was ravaged by the Nazis and the immense war debts you have to pay now, we at the MNC fully understand that the Belgian Congo is becoming a drain on your time, resources and money. We would like to negotiate: the Belgian Congo goes independent, but you get to keep owning diamond mines in the country. It's a win-win: you get money from the diamonds, we're no longer a drain on your economy.

Leopold the Third stared inquisitively at the letter, his country had caused great amounts of suffering to the native populace and he felt he needed to do what was right, the Belgians would proceed to leave the Congo as soon as possible to prevent anymore damage happening to the country. He accepted Lumumba's deal to operate diamond mines in the country in exchange for independence.

The Congolese Republic was declared on January 5th, 1946 in Léopoldville as a Parliamentary republic with Joseph Kasa-Vubu sworn in as President and Patrice Lumumba sworn in as Prime Minister. French, Lingala, Kikongo, Kiswahili and Tshiluba are stated as the official languages. Greater rights are to be given to tribal people and political parties are created.

The Spanish State condemns your recent actions of Congolese independence. Generalissimo Franco refuses to recognize the anti-colonialist terrorists who have taken over the Congo. Spain is considering sending over a death squad to kill the anti-colonialists in the Congo.

Spain begins to build up its military strength. The Government puts a huge emphasis on the Air Force. For about a month, Spain has been building all of it's armed forces branches up, just in case anything were to happen. Spanish troops are given extremely rigorous training on how to fight the soviets. They are trained on how to outgun a force that has superior numbers to their own, like the soviets would. They are trained to kill and to thirst for Communist/leftist blood. The Size of the military has increased from 700,000 to about 1,000,000, due to a new mandatory conscription law.

- 200 JU-86 Transport planes

I will post more of my military stats later. The Army is still the biggest branch though.
