In light of the recent tensions erupting, centered around the recent collapse of Japan, Arlywyddion (President) Melinydd has announced firmly that the nation will remain neutral on the matter. Melinydd released a brief statement in a press conference addressing the reason behind the decision;[In regards to the developing Japanese situation] we have no stake in the matter. This has largely developed out of a series of events between two alliances that have compiled tensions over time, the International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties and the The Capital Interests Internationale. As we have no membership status in either group, nor do we have any major affiliation with members of either group, we have no reason to commit ourselves into a conflict clearly divided on hard partisan lines. More than that, we view the actions of both parties of the crisis as condemnable in some form. We sincerely believe, and hope, that our neutral status will be respected by both alliances, and no move will be made to have us become involved politically or otherwise.
As of the most recent poll, 96.72% of participants indicated that they either "slightly agree" or "strongly agree" with the declaration, however, scattered rallies have appeared in a few cities of a small number of citizens showing support for each of the alliances involved. In the Cyngor Cenedlaethol (National Council), the Party of Pride and National Advancement (which holds a single seat in the Cenedlaethol, and represents the far-right) has vehemently condemned the IMCWP for it's "acts of vile communist aggression which no doubt reveal the plans the organization has to invade and dismantle the decent and free governments of the world." A spokesperson for the party added "it is a mistake that we are not standing with the valiant nations of the CII to halt this transgression." On the other hand, the Communist Party of Rhyfelnydd (which holds three seats) has lauded the IMWCP for "it's attempts to bring solidarity and organization to Japan" and attacks the CII for "preventing the humanitarian efforts of Vladivoseoul in aiding the Japanese population for their own selfish gain"

John Hammond will run the nation the next few days while a new vote for a President will begin. 2 Tankaran natives are running, along with 7 Atharla natives, remembering that all Atharla natives are from Africa. The front runner is Atharlan native Joseph Kabila, he was the president of the Democratic Republic of Congo before the world fell.

He respects the Tankaran natives, unlike most of the Atharlan natives that are running, so he has an edge on a lot of the other candidates. The senate and House of Reps, will not change until next year which is their election time. Whoever wins will hold the spot for 5 years, one extra then a normal term of 4, because of the unusual timing.
If Joseph Kabila wins expect more African traditions and more African visits.
Joseph Kabila loves Africa, he will go on as many visits as he can to Africa. He is of course from DR Congo, he was the President until, economies started dropping. So be aware because he loves his first home. The 2 people behind him are a senate from Tankara's Democratic side and a Ex-South African Governor.

"Raddichio has already to much power over the world. Vladivoseoul even if they have protected us in the past but expanding themself is a sigh of imperialism. Vlad is the most powerful Communist nation out there. Teaker Island will put an end to it. We say to let the countrys go out of Japan and leave it to rebuild itself. Allow a new nation to grow out of it then pretend there are refugees. In a collapse Government, there is no earthquake or volcanic eruption. Let a new government grow."says councilman Mark Harrison in a speech today

Though I congratulate them for trying to achieve peace, what they are doing is not the way to do it. Teaker islands blockage will most likely be meet by CII and CWP ships and destroyed by these superpowers might. There is no honour in killing an enemy who is trying to achieve peace. Our skjold fleet has officially arrived just outside of Japanese waters and CWP/CII ships. This fleet includes the W.N. Rettferdighet, and a mixture of destroyers and cruisers. If Radicchio calls me to fight Teaker Island, I will. WE will.

Tensions dropped these past few days and a mutual understanding between all parties involved has been established, therefore there is no need to keep the military mobilized. All units have been instructed to return to their permanent bases. All soldiers who's leave was cancelled because of the mobilization will be allowed to continue their leave of absence.

The statement issued by the Teaker Islanders came as a shock to me. It siad many offensive things about our way of life, and even at one point stated that, and I quote "we would not hesitate to break a Earthica law to drop nuclear weapons on innocent people in Wolfassia" To threaten nuclear war is a threat I take very seriously. The Teaker Islanders have made an enemy of Oceania, one enemy they may regret making. We do not currently posses nuclear weapons, but now seems as perfect a time as any to announce that we are developing plutonium, with uranium bought from several countries, and mined from our own. I am still deciding whether our engineers should start a nuclear program, but with these recent threats, I think building the bomb may be crucial to our very safety as a nation.
