[Suggestion] Chat

Just a quick suggestion.

Not sure of programming or how long it would take, but a chat function would be really cool. Just for some banter I guess? I can see how it might be problematic in some ways, but if the staff hasn't maybe consider it?

Not much else to say I guess.

Agreed. It gets pretty boring. I am on the forums in between moves.

My guess (speaking as a non-techie) is that this would be too much to code for a game put together in a short period of time for April Fools. The RMB could serve as a chat - as could other programs such as IRC, Skype, etc., that a number of regions or groups already use.

It's a damn shame this is a 1 day event.

You can use RMB if you are having a regional game.

However, if you plan to include more people, then may I suggest a certain method of room nomenclature?

Simply put, it would be to include as much information as necessary. I suggest

COMMUNICATION METHOD: WEBSITE/NETWORK (#channelname if needed).

Ex1:

FORUMS: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=335705

Ex2:

IRC: Esper #imperium

Ex3:

CHAT: http://us23.chatzy.com/47660733976749

Could enable a quick description feature in the game set up by the host, there they could create a link to an IRC.

Example,

http://client00.chat.mibbit.com/?server ... l=%23NSCAN

If you change the name at the end of the string there to what you want your IRC to be, when people click the link it will immediately direct them to the name creation so they can join without having to bug with typing in a specific server and all that.
