I'm currently trying to think of good name for a new nation but I am stuck for ideas. Any help would be much appreciated.

I sometimes alter words to make a unique-sounding name. My nation now, Ideos, is an altercation of the word "Ideas." Name generators can also give you some good starter words for altercation. :)

what type of name are you looking for? Based on a made up history, or an area (spanish, Greek, Italian, etc.)

It helps if you already know what the primary language of your nation will be.
Basically what happens when you throw Germanic raiders in a blender with Romans and give them a few centuries to form their own culture.
Oh yeah. Nation doesn't reflect IRL views and whatnot.
