Unrest in Camelone (IC, MT, Semi-Open)

Postby Camelone » Sun Mar 08, 2015 5:35 pm

King Ludwig sat in his office in the personal castle of the Krieger family, he was reading over intelligence reports from his personal Inquisitors. The Republican Front was becoming more militant, the Communist Union was growing in numbers as contact with the outside world was importing foreign ideas, the Anarchist Coalition was becoming even more of an annoyance, the Camelone Reactionaries are becoming even more restless as they want to completely return to the old ways with no compromise, and to top all that off his loyalists were dwindling in numbers. Setting the reports down he rubbed his face frustrated "Of all the times for things to start going down hill it had to be the week that the embassies opened up." King Ludwig groaned. Camelone decided that it would be in their best interests to expend their diplomatic contacts so they sent invitation to all the countries in the world so embassies were built in the main castle town of his personal Thanedom. "King Ludwig you are needed in the Tingstag." A guard said as he entered the office and than quickly left. Getting up from his chair King Ludwig made his way to the Tingstag.
Within the castle town the final touches were being made on the embassies so the representatives will have a good home till they are replaced though a couple men and women were moving silently through the streets and entered a tavern. Going to the backroom they all took their seats and waited to start the meeting a big man stood up and cleared his throat, this man was Edward Cain the leftist leaning leader of the Republican front "I believe we all know why we are here." Edward said as the other people shook their heads in acknowledgement "Yes we need a plan to win favor with foreign countries so as to destroy this corrupt institution of a government. We must return the government and economy to the people!" Nikoli Yates, co-leader of the Communist Union and radical Marxist. "Than let us start this meeting." Emer Gordon said, co-leader of the Communist Union and lenient Marxist. The meeting began after that.
Bishop Joshua O'Henry was waiting at the airport for the representatives of the foreign countries to arrive.

Keith Belial arrived wearing military uniform of Alcatha, it was colored dark red with a gold trim. On the cap was a red star outlined in black flanked by a pick-axe and a hammer. As he stepped off the plane he took one last drag from his cigarette and flicked it to the ground and stepped on it. Two body guards flanked him, also in uniform armed with semi-auto pistols. At age 23 Keith was an officer of the Red Loyalists, the paramilitary headed by General Secretary Alcatha himself, this envoy was directed by the leader himself.

Keith scanned the area, looking for the man he was supposed to meet, the Bishop. As a marxist-atheist Keith despised religion but this was a political mission, politeness too all was necessary. Upon seeing the bishop he offered a handshake, "Bishop." Keith said with a ghostly voice "A pleasure." Keith also had a nasty scar on his left eye, making it completely white.

Bishop Joshua looked at the young man before him and gave a quick glance to the wound on the man's eye but didn't think much of it as he saw worse during the war. "Greetings sir. I don't believe your country has submitted an application to the Administration of Foreign Affairs. Let me double check though." He said while quickly flipping through a clipboard.

Bekkah walked in quietly, not wanting to disturb anything. She looked purely innocent, but according to enemy troops, she was the biggest threat in Loveland. She wore casual clothes, not knowing what she would be doing.

"Hello your highness," Bekkah said, bowing, "I am Empress Queen Rebekkahlynn Rosabell Geneva Loveland, Empress Queen of Loveland. But you may call me Bekkah. I am the fiancee of Junker Anyon Hoch, and I am here to help your country."

Bishop Joshua chuckled "No my dear I am not the king I am merely the bishop of the castle town. Thank you for coming and it is a pleasure to hear that you and Junker Anyon Hoch are getting along fine."
Junker Anyon Hoch walked up to Bekkah "Hello there Bekkah." He said smiling.

Drakon Herodes arrived at the airport. He was slightly nervous as he looked around at his surroundings, this country was very different to Klarash. He walked towards the Group followed by security guards.

Khaiful, Kaiful, Sacheyenya:

Ila stood to the sound of applause as the ceremony drew to a close, and a ceremonial blade on a white cloth was handed to her by a bearded man. The hilt held the word Kamaylaun on one side etched in gold, with Sacheyenya on the other side in a similar script. As the fanfare died down, and she strapped the sword to her waist, Ila Callais had been dubbed a Thane (and as such granted the title of Kamaylauna) of Sacheyenya, and the official ambassador to Camelone. Much to her surprise, however, instead of being called to a plane to be sent to Camelone post haste, she was called to the Grande Palisade, home of the King himself.

When she arrived at the Palisade, she was ushered swiftly to the King's office, where she was shocked once more to find herself almost completely alone with the royal family. The King, Tal'eu Dyanu, Queen Nyla, Prince Leo and Prince Minor Var'akul lounged about the throne room, with a man yet unknown to her. Tal'eu smiled, hefting a file in his hand. "Ila Kamaylauna Callais, Khaifulian born Thane of French descent, top of her grouping at the Ambassadorial College in Camelonean studies. Congratulations, comrade - we are all rightfully proud." Hearing the king speak sparked a sudden reaction in Ila, who drew her blade and snapped a salute to the royal family, each of whom, in turn, returned the proper salutes.
"At ease, good comrade. You are to be serving your country soon in more ways than you can know." As Ila rose from her salute, she flinched slightly, as the king extended a glass of champagne to her, which she took hesitently. He cut her off before she could speak. "As you know, the Kriegers and House Dyanu have had little to no interaction up until now, and neither have Camelone nor Sacheyenya. You, good comrade, are tasked first with the responsibility of changing that. Easy enough, ca? Go in, propose trade routes, perhaps an alliance of sorts, give the Kriegers a good impression of us, give Camelone an even better impression of us, all that good stuff."
"Such as is any good Sacheyenyani ambassador's job, sir." Ila sipped swiftly, not removing her gaze.
"But your duty, Ila, my comrade," the King continued. "Does not end here." He handed her the first file: 'Your Duties as an Ambassador to Camelone from Our Empire', it was called. The second was for the young man, heretofore unmentioned. "Jonathon Paiens is also a Khaifulian born of French descent, comrade Callais. He is going to be your ambassadorial aid, and your best friend in Camelone." He halted, gesturing for Ila to speak.
"It is not tradition for the ambassador and their staff to meet in between the exams and the arrival at the embassy. Further, diomassiotoko, this man was not in exams, nor do I recall him from class."
"Perceptive - she's perceptive." The king noted to the others, drawing nods of approval. "Jonathon is a member of the SAN, our own brand of international intelligence. He is going to act as a spy for us during your stay in Camelone. I'm going to summarize this once, for the sake of the mission. You two, for the time being, are Krieger Loyalists. You're going to do everythin in your power, politically and otherwise, to keep Ludwig Krieger in power, and all the other factions as in the dark as possible. You are protecting our interests, comrades. Both, mine, and the Empire's. Jonathon can brief you better on the trip over. Now - a toast, to Sacheyenya!"

Camelone:

The plane descended slowly, as Ila spent the trip getting to know her new friend better. "So, its like this. We don't know about Krieger much, but we know just enough to want him in power for now, because their ideals are pretty close to ours. We, of course, just need to alter their social policy a bit, if possible." Jonathon skimmed his folder, eyeing Ila over the papers. Ila nodded, as the second part was not news to her. That much had been in her folder. "The Republican Front is far too disjointed to work - far too right, and far too confederate. Same with the Camelone Reactionaries, that they are too confederate. If the Kriegers fail us, we turn to them first. The Communists wish to displace the monarchy, and that's the last thing we want, cause they're not gonna want Sacheyenya in Camelonean affairs, and putting all the power in the hands of the church is just far too risky for the Anarchists. Sounds about right?"
"Sounds good to me. Sounds like we might be able to get the Camelone Reactionaries and the Loyalists on the same page if we strike when the iron is hot. If we can crush all else, I think I see a beautiful alliance forming." Ila smirked as Jonathon slipped his file away into the planes secret compartment. He kept a few papers from the file with him: his passport, his necessary credentials, and a list of all the other ambassadors that had so far responded, as well as what the SAN could dig up on them. He kept the last set of papers tucked away in his coat, and had the other papers at ready, as did Ila, as the plane set down.

Both dressed in a staunch black uniform, with golden buttons made to resemble Cherubs and clouds on their coats, with cross cuff-links as they departed the plane. Ila had at her waist the ceremonial blade, while at his waist, Jonathon kept a ceremonial dagger to solidify his position as a knight. Ila looked nonplussed as they disembarked, acting as though she had hated the ride with her underling, as it had gone against tradition. She looked around, looking for whom would greet them in Camelone.

Ida Feic of the Tribe of Antrim arrived by plane, a normal passenger flight into the country from one place or the other.
Camelone was a... interesting place, which was why she volunteered for this assignment. Her assignment was to observe Camelone and King Ludwig Krieger in how they dealt with the current unrest and dissent within the nation, although she was permitted to pick sides when she felt like it. Officially, she was on a business trip from the Free Lands to Camelone in order to sell whisky, unofficially, she was - and there was no paraphrasing it - a spy. She was to observe without being detected and while she wasn't looking for industrial or military secrets, her mission was to remain secrets at any costs, including usage of the carbon-fibre daggers on her body.
She wore her tribe's Geansai, the red and dark-blue of the Tribe of Antrim, making her stand out a bit, which was quite fine by her - if she stood out, no one would assume her to be a spy.
The Free Lands weren't people to send ambassadors to every nation they had contact with, there were simply note enough Selkie to do so, keeping foreign relations active was responsibility of the Ambassasor Groups, which was why they gracefully declined the offer to establish an embassy in Camelone. They did, however, offered to send such a group every once in a while, just to keep things active.
She was none of that. She was a spy and as a young woman of 26, her red hair long and flowing, her blue eyes emitting warmth, her curves being curvy, she was a very good looking one.
Now then..., she thought, Let's get this show on the road!

"Sir, you must be mistaken we were invited by your leaders to help monitor the situation. After all, we have interests with the communists that will be sitting
in on the talks." Keith explained too the Bishop.

Keith then looked to his guards and explained to them what was going on, he watched other guests come in as he waited patiently for
the issue to be resolved. In the meantime he ate lunch and kept tabs on those coming in and where they were from. Interestingly
enough he saw the Selkie who were famed for their tribal traditions, it interested him dearly but he figured not to bother them. Keith also noticed
Bekkah, the famed Empress Queen which his friends from Montco had told him about, she was indeed gorgeous but taken obviously. Keith respected
other men and wouldn't dare infringe on their territory, even if they were capitalists.

Feic felt people watching her, which wasn't anything new to her, Geansais usually attracted a lot of attention outside the Free Lands, but besides all the stares on her argumentation amplifiers and her hips, moving slightly back and forth, there was something else.
As she waited for her lugguage, spare clothes and samples of her wares, she looked around among the other people here. One watched her with interest, man clad in a military uniform, quite good looking, red with markings of gold - judging by them, he was from Alcatha. Interesting., she thought, Now, how do we deal with this...
And then it dawned upon her: He maybe was a bit on the shy side, while he ate his lunch, but interested in her or the Free Lands or both.
So, the young Antrim decided to do something, that every young woman would do: She winked with a nice smile.

Jonathon took a moment to size up the crowd at large, and what he knew about them. He had no idea who the Alcathan man was, and in truth he had no idea there were even supposed to be Alcathans. They weren't in the report, and all he could tell was that indeed the man was of that nationality, and he seemed to be of some status due to his security detail. He vaguely recognized Drakon, and took note of what he knew of him, which wasn't much, except that he was likely to support the communists, and was therefor someone to be watched. It was Rebekkah, and the Selkie, that held his attention the most. He was surprised an Empress had been sent as an ambassador, and it quickly registered to him that she was only there for brief dignitary work. Seeing his response at Anyon, he colored her a Loyalist, and not a threat in any way.
But then there was the Selkie. He didn't know her name, her reason to be and, if it weren't for the Geansai, he honestly wouldn't have known she was a Selkie. He shuffled slightly as he realized how ill-informed he had been for the mission - at least about those who had gathered for now. She was probably no manner of trouble, but he made it a point to get to know her better later. The Alcathan, Drakon, and the Selkie were all areas of interest to him. But for now there was Bishop Josh, and Bishop Josh, as far as Jonathon knew, could be trusted.

Ila and Jon approached the Bishop, both smiling warmly. "Hail, and blessings of God upon thee." Ila announced as they both half unsheathed their blades, right fists over their hearts, cocked their legs and bowed their heads as a salute to the man. "I am Thane Ambassador Ila Kamaylaun Callais, and this," she gestured half heartedly with her head, prompting a nervous smile from the man. "Is my ambassadorial aid, Sir Jonathon Paiens. We are the Sacheyenyani delegation. It is so wonderful to meet you, comrade."

After seeing the lady from the Selkie wink at him, Keith winked back at her when she was looking his way. The two guards were disciplined and didn't mind waiting,
and then Keith spotted Anyon. In his mind he went over the options, he could interuppted this man but it'd be rude and he wouldn't dare do such a thing. So he waited, and
was making attempts to make eye contact with them man and hopefully be able to approach him about this mix up. But in the back of his mind he thought about the

OOC: Hey guys sorry to keep you waiting I had baseball tryouts.
Bishop Joshua was about to continue searching but more people showed up so he handed it off to one of his aides next to him "Keep searching for their application." He ordered the aide as he directed his attention back to the crowd. Turning back to Drakon "I am Bishop Joshua O'Henry it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." He said respectfully to Drakon and than turned towards Ila and Jonathon "God bless you also my friends. As you know I am Bishop Joshua O'Henry your guide of to Camelone for the day. It is a honor to meet you both hopefully our nations will have a prosperous relationship in the future. Turning back to Keith "In absolutely no way are those traitorous communists coming anywhere close to the castle without a chest full of bullets. They are nothing but a pack of child killers, and cowardly terrorists who don't even have the decency to leave the dead at peace." Bishop Joshua said sharply as the Communist Union was labeled as a terrorist group. Looking over at Bekkah he said "I would be honored but you need the approval of King Ludwig to have a wedding here as it is his cathedral."

"Of course I'm here. My liege is here and as I am one of his trusted friends he brought me along... Also we need him to release my oath of fealty or I would still be his vassal and you by extension." Anyon explained.

"Thank you, Bishop," Bekkah said smiling. "If I wrote a letter, would you be able to send it to King Ludwig?"
Turning to Anyon, Bekkah smiled but worry was clear in her eyes!
"I was told Camelone was in danger?" Bekkah said, but posing it as a question, not sure of what to say. "Anyon, *eyes starting to well* how can I help? One thing kind of related to the wedding........well..............*bursting into tears* Alex is missing! No one knows where he is!"

Feic smiled a bit more broadly, as the man winked back.
A sign of a brave man., she thought, her thoughts for a moment occupied with the man - his white left eye, the little scar, the professionality he wanted to project, it was all not really going along with each other. A facade?
A small, girlish part of her considered for a moment to become the woman to brak this facade down, but she quickly banished the thought. He isn't really that good looking., she thought, So that isn't even a strong point for him.
Other then that..., another voice in her head said, ...why not sample foreign goods?
She grinned at that - now, it was his turn, the ball in his field, as the next step needed to be done by him.

Keith was still waiting, rather angry at this point but as someone who was over professional he refrained from bothering the Bishop and the royals and
had made his decision to focus his efforts on the Selkie woman. He excused himself from his guards, against their protests of leaving their area he
began to walk toward the Selkie woman and was half way there when he heard the commotion of Bekkah yelling about an Alex.

Jon and Ila smiled broadly, bowing to their host with a gesture of gratitude to step back and allow him to finish his matters before the politics of the matter began. Further than their hosts hospitality, they smiled at his reaction to the Alcathan's words. Jonathon noted what had happened. The Alcathan was decidedly a member of the Communist Union fan club, and thus was to be kept under watch. Sacheyenya was very socialist in its ideals, and they saw nothing wrong with communists, in essence. It was the Communist Union, which undermined the monarch's authority, which was Jonathon's ire, and thus it was no small satisfaction to watch the man be chewed out so.
He also noted the Selkie. He hadn't noticed the exchange between the Alcathan and the Selkie, but he had noticed the Alcathan excusing his guardsmen to move towards her, though he didn't quite make it. Again, decidedly, the Selkie and the Alcathan were those to be paid the utmost of attention to. His thoughts were drawn back to Rebekkah, however, at the sound of her outburst. A look of authentic concern crossed his face as he shuffled uncomfortably, debating whether or not to check on the foreign empress. Ila herself was unsure of the situation, but both tried to listen in to see what the matter was at hand.

An aide of Bishop Joshua walked over to Keith "Sir we found your application it was just forwarded to us from the Administration of Foreign Affairs. We apologize for the inconvenience that we put you through."

Bishop Joshua looked over his briefing and matched faces to the people around him "Okay as everyone is here please follow me so we can start the day fully as the Tingstag is meeting today. We do not have time to lose so please follow me." He said turning around and starting to walk out of the airport.

Anyon looked at Bekkah concerned "Don't worry but don't compromise yourself in the public sphere, especially in Camelone."

A customs officer walked up to Feic "Madam are you a merchant?" He asked.

Keith thanked the man who had found his application and began following the Bishop, the his guards reached his six and flanked him keeping their eyes click and ears open for anything suspicious. Both the guards were extremely disciplined and hadn't uttered much of a sentence unless addressed by Keith himself. In his mind though, Keith was unsettled he did not get the chance to introduce himself to the Selkie girl, whom he'd hoped too. Perhaps another time, as he already got the message he was unwanted in Camelone, seeing how similar there war of separation was to the unification wars in Alcatha.

Six soldiers who appeared to have armor that is a mixture of new and medieval armor. They snapped a salute by hitting their left shoulder, Bishop Joshua waved off the salute and stepped to the side "These are Knights of the Royal House. You can tell by the royal coat of arms on their chest." He said "Now come we have much to see."

Keith was impressed with their armor, the Alcathan combat uniform was simple, he wondered if the medieval style uniform was also worn in combat, it seemed uncomfortable to fight a war in. He looked around at the palace, the Dallas had smaller quarters but of course that was a communist thing and he was in a monarchy, Keith promised himself he'd make no more political thoughts until the meeting began, it has just been awhile since he had seen a capitalist nation.

"Where else are we going Bishop?" Keith asked.

The two Sacheyenyani delegates bowed once more, and followed behind the bishop. Jon overheard that the Alcathan man did indeed have an application, and noted he must attempt to get access to it later. He tried hard to listen to the Alcathan gentleman without drawing attention to himself, and doing so by merely remaining close to the man - but not so close as to draw suspicion. The two Sacheyenyani held their opposite hands on the hilts of their ceremonial gear, as was custom for casual walking. They enjoyed the garb of the imperial soldiers, and returned salutes of their own, as otherwise would have been rude. Jon, being a Knight himself, placed both hands together on his forehead, bowed, and brought his hands to his heart as he rose again - a salute among equals in Sacheyenya. As a Thane greeting foreign knights, Ila as well bowed, raising her saber slightly and tipping it as she did so. Jonathon's armor, as a knight would appear far more feudal, but it was not necessary that he wear it, not just yet. They continued to follow silently, Jon continuing to study those around him.
