Rules:

1) No godmodding (powergaming). You can't say "One spearman beat off the entire enemy army and won the day now we have your capital." It doesn't work that way.

2) Following from that, know when to lose! If the odds are stacked against you, then lose. No "Our begun fighting with huge fanaticism and zeal and fought back the overwhelming enemy." Sure, the occasional heroic is allowed but don't use godmodding to allow it to succeed.

3) No metagaming. If the enemy has set an ambush there's no way you can know unless you have a spy, which you have to tell everyone you are spying on that person. Equally, the person being spied on has no way of knowing there is a spy unless you begin to grow suspicious after a while of plans being foiled.

4) Please post quite a bit, no 1 liners.

5) In regard to the amount of soldiers you have, you start with 300,000 men in peacetime. Your maximum capacity may be no larger than 400,000. You may put these men into your army, or make them crew your ships. Each ship is crewed by 250 men. Over time you may recruit and build more ships and men, and I shall keep note of it. So consider how to distribute your men wisely.

6) Each day is one year untill war starts, then it becomes each day is a month.

Historical Nation Name: The Imperium of Christopia

Where you are on the map (Description or picture): Most of the Carribean islands
Brief history (Optional): Ancient Christopia was a small collection of tribes originally - Valinak, Sai, Christoph, Gagah and Rus. The tribes lived in peace for a long time, together in harmony. Soon, however a large foreign power began to loom over their lands called Calradia. Calradia's legions set their eye's on the small tribe's hungry for blood. The tribes formed a confederation under Christoph's leadership called "The Confederacy of Christopia". They amassed troops to defend their lands, and eventually realized they actually had more soldiers (and more advanced soldiers) than Calradia, and invaded them. The Confederacy of Christopia had emerged out of it's tribal roots, forming cities and building roads. Once again, the leading tribe suggested something new. A new idea for how things should be run called "A Republic" The tribes agreed this would be good to further the land, and then Christopia was called "The Republic of True Christopia" but mainly the populace simply called it "The Republic". In 251 A.D. Calhar Ingal came to power and converted the Republic into a huge, thriving empire and conquered the islands around it. It formed huge navies and set out to sea, in search of new land.

Brief history (Optional): Ancient Dmanian was a collection of warring tribes that had spent decades fighting over Irieden (Ireland). In 30 A.D the smaller tribes of the South were forced to unite against a common enemy with the imminent fall of Arcadium (Ancient Arcadia) the central hub on the south in terms of trade and wealth. Joining together the four tribes formed the Demini to fight the Mian Tribe of the North.
Already on the backfoot the Southern tribe was on the verge of defeat when, Oscar Son of Verys journeyed to the tribes across the Demini channel and formed an alliance.
The superior ships of the foreign tribe attacked the Mian from the north and ambushed their forces in the mountain valleys that approach Arcadium. In that decisive battle the united forces crushed the Mian's and binded the once warring factions. Recognising that progress would never be made as long as they fought among themselves, in the great beer hall of Arcadium they formed the Confederacy of Demin'nian (pronounced Dmanian in the "Common tongue") Which united all of the tribes of Irieden and Britandar.

From its founding the Confederacy was hounded by invaders from near by lands which eventually shaped its naval favouring military. Now the navy forms the backbone of the confederacy creating good trade between the islands and security of its surroundings waters. Also a strong tradition has formed from it.

Brief history (Optional): The core region of Bradlia was formed from the unification of six different kingdoms. These kingdoms were Tuscany, Sicily, Brittany, Burgundy, France and Aquitaine. The man behind this unification was King Bradley the Great of the Kingdom of Sicily. In the year 575, Prince Bradley inherited the throne of Sicily from his father who had died from Tuberculosis. The now King Bradley I was only 18 years old when he took the throne, but he was a genius. He was described as a brilliant strategist, an inspiring and unyielding leader, as well as being a shrewd diplomat. He was also one of the best swordsmen of his day. Withing five years of taking the throne, He had conquered Tuscany. five years after that he had conquered Aquitaine, and Burgundy. Twenty years later he had conquered Brittany and France, completing his goal of reconquering old Roman lands. once he had finished his last conquest, he declared himself, Emperor of Bradlia. He was crowned emperor in an elaborate ceremony by the pope, and would bring great social reforms to Bradlian people. He would also build the great city of Aurelia at the base of the Tiber River. This city, nicknamed the City of Gold, is still the Bradlian capital to this day.

Fast forward to 1300 AD. The current Emperor is Phillip I. Having been crowned Emperor just 2 years ago, Phillip is a direct descendant of Emperor Bradley the Great, just as all emperors before him. His father, Emperor Richard was a weak emperor, and was not well liked. Hoping to prove that he is a stronger leader than his father, Phillip has decided that a good conquest is in order, and he has set his eyes on the historically strong lands of Turkey and Greece.

History: The United Confederacy of Dextranta was originally made of a small coalition group of 100 men, they were against the evil dictatorship of The Carolingian Empire of Glanoctov. The coalition group soon grew to huge numbers of close to 20,000 men. And so the Carolingian Empire and The United Confederacy raged war against each other in a huge battles. Thousands of lives were lost in fighting and leaders came and went. however one large and devastating attack led by Kommandant Hugo Slevo obliterated the Carolingian Empire. The United Confederacy of Dextranta was born, named after Fredrick Von Dextranta, The Founder of the Coalition.

The nation quickly became a huge power completely destroying the political opposition that threatened them. Hugo was made the Supreme leader of the United Confederacy and the Country soon once again became a huge force with in the European continent

Not sure how we're doing this but by 1338 the first recorded use of a European cannon was at the beginning of the hundred years war. Very low calibre guns. Most ships operated using traditional methods. So something like a ship of the line wouldn't have existed until the 17th century. Nor would a galleon until the 16th century.

Brief History: the kingdom of Norjod was created by a collection of Scandinavian villages brought together by King Bjorn Svegjal. The kingdom progressed and it started to raid the world. Historical evidence has proven that Nordic explorers reached the New World before any others, and established brief trade negotiations with the Native Americans.
To other nations, they are seen as savages and pillagers, but within, the Nordan are intelligent and are masters of warfare.
