Postby Timsvill » Thu Feb 26, 2015 8:05 am

So the question is simple, what do you guys think of PETA. I really don't like PETA.
Why am I asking this, because I saw this on the washington post.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/vir ... story.html
It got me thinking, what do other people think of PETA.

I personally don't like them. Because they protested Pokemon. FREAKING POKEMON! They also protested against Mario’s raccoon dog “Tanooki” suit. IT'S A FREAKING VIDEO GAME! PETA! GET OVER IT!

So what do you guys think of PETA?

PETA sounds like a good think, but what they do is just stupid. We need a organization that supports eating meat. But does it in a way that would make vegetarians (who are different from vegans. Vegans don't eat anything that was or came from a animal. Vegetarians just don't eat meat.) and meat eaters happy. Plus the organization won't do anything stupid.

They're quite the nutty folk.

Oh, but I do enjoy those hilarious flash games they made of Mario and Pokemon. They just reeked of stupidity.

Those are probably some of the worst reasons to hate them.

Anyway, not really a fan. They give reasonable vegetarians (like myself) and vegans (like the rest of my family, mostly) a bad name.

We have 150 million cows, if they give around 200 litres of milk but if we can improve the quality of cattle than we can get 11k pa litres of milk p.a. We could provide milk to the entire world, we need to end cow slaughter and improve our cattle

The world has about 1.3 billion cows, which is more than enough to give people their milk. (Doesn't really effect me though, cause I absolutely hate milk. It's disgusting, but that's another topic.) They're all worth the same, and besides, if you're going to defend one, defend all of em.

Sexist assholes.
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

We'd probably be better off just not raising cows at all. Livestock are environmentally catastrophic, and there are other sources of calcium.

What if we have certain cow's designated to be milk cows and food cows. Give the cow's 4 year's of life. Fatten them up. Then kill them peacefully. Just give them a ejection that puts them to sleep. Save the cow's from going through the pain. And we would have more milk cows then food cows.

Injection takes time and introduces a chemical into their system that could be just as fatal to a human being. The easiest way is to put a piece of metal through their brain, same as we've always done. Yeah, tough job to do, but it's painless, leaves no chemicals, quick, and cheap.

True. Painless, no chemicals. I'm not a vegan or vegetarian in anyway. I love my meat. I grew up in Texas, so I grew up in a meat eating family and state.
