Deep Space, 0800 hours, Duskian reckoning

A collection of planets, all rich in resources, and unclaimed by any empire. The star of the system, a super-massive Yellow Star, is only a young star, in regards to other stars in the Galaxy.

Called System X4-3AF by the Grand Dominion upon discovery, it's location was leaked through spies to several other Empires.

Lord Shadow ordered a task force to be sent as soon as possible to claim these Resources for the Grand Dominion. Knowing that it wouldn't be long before other empires sent forces of their own. As such, Shadow has elected to lead the Task-Force, nicknamed Operation Thunder. Consisting of nearly 500 warships, ranging from corvette to Dreadnought class craft, the fleet will also set down Quantum jump signals to allow the jumping in of building supplies and manpower, as well as colonists. While an exact date of launch of the fleet has not been announced, it is expected to be soon.

Okay... So, I just wanted to add.

Each persons first post will be their entry post. No attacking other people right off the bat >_>
Also, there's about 12 planets in the system, and each person will emerge beside one. That will be their 'base of operations' if they so choose.
Once Colonies are starting to be founded, a ground battle must prove victory for the colony to be taken. If a players last colony is taken, and they have very few troops left (As in like 1 or 2 warships), then they can choose to declare the effort a waste and flee..... Mind you, they don't have to. If they do so before their last colony is taken, the colony is treated as abandoned, and the only defenses left would be any automated turrets build by the previous owner(s).

Now... I just wanted to add. Once you have a fairly sizable colony, you can start to call upon reinforcements. But these can never number more than 5% of your full military might in the system (Capped at 10% of your original starting force, i.e: if you have say... 1000 ships to start, and get a base up with those ships still intact, then you can only ever call in 100 ships. Even if you have 20 000 by this point. Also, HIGHLY exaggerated numbers. The 500 ships I'm starting with have only about.... 300 battle-ready ships. (Merchant-marine ships are armed for personal defense, but rarely strong enough to take on a capital ship) The rest are transports and supplies.)


This is ,first and foremost, a friendly RP. We are not out to beat each other up. I'm just laying out some basics. I will be editing these as I see fit, with PLENTY of ahead notice for the players.

Those of you posting applications, If I refuse them, it is not because you are ineligable, but because I am trying to keep this RP down to only a few people, to allow for the greatest challenge. I don't want to have 8 players in a 12 planet system, because that would become a nightmare to keep track of.

Now that said..... For now, this RP is considered Restricted to Spiritus members only. Sorry for the change after your posts Stormwrath and Atmora, but I talked with the members who are already in the RP (All of whom are Spiritus members) and decided this.

Depends on the size. From what I've seen on the RMB of you describing you Mechs, they might be counted as fighters.... Just so long as they don't get... too big

Keep in mind, All of my ships (Bar the Corvettes) can carry fighters... up to like 2k of them

It's basically like calling someone. You need to accept the video feed in order for it to come through. So I meant Horus was attempting to open a video feed with your ship.
