Gameplay is so boring right now

The problem is that the gameplay community (especially feeders) rewards boringness.

Here is the template for success in Nationstates as it exists now:

1.) Support neutrality in the feeders.
2.) Support democracy in the feeders.
3.) Jettison any and all interesting ideas that could in any way be controversial.
4.) Wait for one's opponents to do something remotely interesting, and then promptly pounce upon them for doing so.
4b.) Or better yet, meekly oppose one's opponents and proceed to do nothing.

I, for one, support more scandal and intrigue among Gameplay. This requires taking sides. But nobody wants to take sides.

Someone needs to make a region dedicated completely to destroying other regions and then hawking them…………… that'd be interesting, especially if it was able to take larger regions.

These GCRs need to start being raider or defender or imperialist. Otherwise we'll become irrelevant in the face of UCRs.

I can say this because I recently lost an election and can't run again for another four months.

I tried to create a more interesting game by destroying, but obviously that failed. So I've decided to help create an interesting game by creating; joining or building up regions with new ideas and fresh blood. If we all pitch in and help just one region, in any small way, the game could change in less than a year...

Getting lambasted is kind of the point. Durk is saying that people are too afraid to be controversial, because it's harder to become somebody of power then.
