Your nation's biggest manhunt?

Postby Fratanica » Sun Nov 23, 2014 3:45 pm

The biggest manhunt in Fratanica's history was when a group of terrorists were in one of the northern province. After a year, military forces captured them in Sealake after an exchange of fire. They are currently awaiting trial and are placed in a undisclosed location.

We had a crazy who somehow stole Uranium from a mining site from a private company and made a small nuclear bomb, and set the thing off, obliterating his town. We caught him and he was deported to another nation's nuclear test site and killed by the thing he killed his whole town with

In 1932, Billy Maden, who had been imprisoned for murder, racketeering, bank robbery and heading a criminal organisation among a host of other charges, escaped from his high security facility.

It took prison officers an estimated six hours to notice the man had escaped, as he had done so after 'lights out'. The island was immediately put on lock down and the police were put on a nationwide manhunt.

Maden evaded the authorities for seven months, until the search was scaled back. The police eventually tracked Maden to his hiding place, where a short gunfight ensued. Two officers were wounded and Maden was killed.

One of the biggest manhunts in Alizerian history occurred recently, following a murder (with murder being an extremely rare event in Alizeria). The manhunt took four hours and authorisation was given for both of the army's guns to be carried.

The hunt for the conspirators behind the failed Republican Coup of 1820 is by far the largest manhunt in the Commonwealth's history. The hunt for Archduke Jean Sateur, Count William Haslow, High-Councilmen Isaac Paelius and Aergria Valvonce, Minister-of-War Aleksander Cerciel, Legate Richard Taemin, Colonel Jasper Yveltae, and a handful of Barons went on for almost 2 years and employed nearly 15,000 members of the armed forces. After a bomb and a hail of bullets failed to even injure Emperor Lucas II, the conspirators not killed in the actual assassination attempt fled the capital to numerous escapes throughout the Commonwealth. A short-lived civil-war occurred, fought between a divided military and nobility, though lacking popular support was quickly eliminated. Eventually all of the conspirators were either killed or captured.

After this event, Emperor Lucas II severely curbed the powers of the nobility and military in an edict not repealed until nearly a century later. The public opinion of the nobility dropped somewhat, though they remained popular overall, and many were happy to see non-elected officials have their powers curbed. Not until 1906 were the powers of the nobility restored, by Emperor Aleksander VI.

During the gun control era, there was a shooting at the University of Ashmore by a psychopathic Curtis Johnson. There was no motive for the attack, but the shooting rampage left 18 dead and 32 injured, and had an 18 hour manhunt in southern Ashmore, which was later expanded to the entire Ashyarian Capital Region. Schools were closed during the duration of the manhunt, along with government administration buildings. Hospitals were kept under guard by ANPS Officers.

The manhunt ended in a shootout between Mr. Johnson and ANPS Tactical Units in Ashmore's northeastern industrial park, which left the suspect dead. It was later determined that the attack was a lone wolf attack.

When the children of the entire city of Mercuryville played Man Hunt.

An outlaw in the 1800s nicknamed Flaming Jack has been wanted for several decades of his many robberies, thefts, and arson. He was captured in 1895 under the Hezarfen regime (1886-1896), tortured, and executed.

Your nation's biggest manhunt?

Postby Parhe » Mon Nov 24, 2014 6:02 pm

The search for President Kawashi Suzu and much of her cabinet after the fall of the Republic through popular demonstration and international pressure. Once the monarchy was reinstated a lot of the brief-former ruling class went into hiding throughout the nation, with many also leaving for Imperial Japan and the British Empire. Kawashi Suzu was captured leaving for Hokkaido in 1911 and brought back to the Empire where she was enslaved. The last would only be captured in 1937 when Japan again attacked China and attempted to colonize Parhe's ally Korea (Japan formerly colonized it from 1910 to 1915 when Japan lost control in a war against Russia and Parhe). A handful of former Republic cabinet members were found dead in Tokyo after the Holy Parhic Empire led massive bombing efforts against the city. Quickly afterwards, during Parhe's occupation of Japan, the bodies were brought back and many of their descendants were enslaved (exceptions applied for those that were able to trace lineage or themselves to those that helped fight against Imperial Japan and the Republic).
Hey, it is Parhe :D I am always open to telegrams.

Before the Renewal Revolution, Jack H. Arkness was pursued throughout all of Asterdan, as well as a few neighboring nations, for five years. He managed to evade the Asterdanian military until he could gather enough supporters to form a military of his own. Of course, he won the short revolution and is the new emperor.

Not long after the overthrow of the exceptionalists, Ephraim Tasse, the former finance minister was found to be missing as well as a good chunk of the national treasury. After three years, we discovered the missing money and a body were found in a shipwreck not far from the capital. Seems Tasse wanted to keep all the money, even as it weighed down the boat and caused him to drown.

Our biggest manhunt -- still ongoing -- is for Aratar The Forsaken, the betrayer of Olwe, a powerful Planeswalker who was being trained as an apprentice by the Olwean Emperor, but turned his back on both Olwe and Emperor Jason and later assassinated Jason's wife. He has yet to be apprehended, and the price on his head (note: if an Olwean bounty specifies a body part, then that body part must be detached in order for the bounty to be collected, meaning that anyone who wants to go after Aratar should remove his head and bring it back to Olwe with them if they want the money) is currently worth an even $100,000,000.

The Biggest manhunt in Bharati history was when two men from Goa stealed the top-secret nuclear submarine and went on pleasure cruise of Indian Ocean, resulting in total mobilisation of Bharati Navy to hunt down scum. We found them eventually in South Africa, where we sucessfully killed them while they drinked at seaside bar in Durban, and then after fighting off South Africans, we recaptured nuclear submarine. This happened in Nov 2009; security is tighter since.

The biggest manhunt in our history is the manhunt for crown prince Nazira, currently ongoing, which seeks to find the crown prince, kidnapped by monarchist rebels earlier this year.

There have been two major manhunts: the first one was against a Sicilian independentist terrorist group and its leader in 1946-1948; the second manhunt was against the Tirol-based terrorist group in 1967-1968.

In 1899, shortly after the establishment of the Animal Federation, a pro-dragon agitator ate several MPs to the 1st Parliament and then fled from justice. It was the largest sapienthunt in the country, with an estimated 15 000 sapients participating in a month-long attempt to find the dragon. Eventually, he was found, shrunk, and then eaten by another dragon, in the traditional manner.

Adam Johnson eluded police for almost a week in 1976 after he killed two Vietnamese tourists. One hundred police officers and several helicopters from the Resolution Islands Army were involved in the search which initially covered an area almost five thousand square kilometres in size. The manhunt ended when Johnson surrendered peacefully after his camp was surrounded.
