The Kangyuli (Putonghua: 康玉立; Pinyin: Kāngyùlì) are a Tungusic people of Zhouran that have originated from the Kamchatka Peninsula. They form the largest branch of the Tungusic people and are distributed throughout Zhouran, forming the largest ethnic group in the country. The Kangyuli ruled Zhouran since dynastical times.
The Kangyuli are the descendants of Tungusic people from the Kamchatka Peninsula, who had sailed towards the Zhouranese archipelago in 850 BC. The Kangyuli lived in small nomadic tribes, until Emperor Zhizhe (Jieje in Ancient Zhouranese) unified the Zhouranese people in 120 BC, wich led to the creation of the Tongjia (Tunggiya) Dynasty.
They have historically been cattle-herding nomads, tending to their herds of goats, sheep, camels, reindeer, cattle and yaks for the past thousands of years. A small number of Kangyuli people today still live a nomadic lifestyle, and nomads from the north are known for herding reindeers.
Kangyuli men, mainly those living a nomadic lifestyle, are known for being quite muscular and large-framed while the women are curvaceous. Eye color is predominantly brown, although, green and grey are common. Kangyuli people have epicanthic fold, and generally have pronounced cheekbones and noses. Those from the north have light-brown to pink skin color and are taller while those from the south have a more darker skin and are shorter.
