How is the Infection Status worked out? Does it depend on how many nations are researching a cure, or maybe how often cure missiles are used?

Any ideas?

Think it's rated by how many people get infected and how many is infected.
Right now the COG is rated -250 something and is a "safe haven"

I've noticed the name given directly applies to the number of infected in the region; the classification of My Pants keeps flicking from Safe Haven to Under Control and back, depending on whether the update happens while an injured is receiving treatment or afterwards.

The way the numerical value is determined escapes me so far. The value for My Pants currently stands at -230.1 and is steadily decreasing.
