Te ceecy wejn (Alahanese for 'The Daily News'), as it was called first was founded on 7th July 1878 in Alahan city as a daily news paper which could be bought in every bookstore all over Alahan city. The founder was Murion Tanem, a liberal-minded person who wanted to make something that would help the people.
After he died his son, Torink Tanem, took over his father newspaper and managed to attract a wider audience to add more regional news and more sport.

On 3 May 1955 the publisher was bought by MediaGroup, and invistor who allowed the newspaper to remain independent under their company.
As part of MediaGroup the newspaper grew to what it is today

A body cleanup near Lanage

The zombie crisis, or the Halloween disaster as many call it has been raging in many nations, and is still claiming many victims every hour in some nations, but not in Alahana.

What is the Zombie virus?
Exactly twenty four hours ago the zombie virus claimed its first victim. Where it came from is still unclear but what we do know is how we get it and what it does.
The virus was able to spread by exchanging bodily fluids like saliva, urine, semen, sweat, et cetera. After the person was infected with the virus it would only take
five minutes for the human body to show the first symptoms. These include extensive sweating and puking, high body temperatures and shaking.
This is the first reaction of your body to fight the virus, who is already destroying your body by making flesh eating bacteria that is currently known as 'Necrotizing fasciitis alpha'. This is an extreme version of the Necrotizing fasciitis bacteria that is able to destroy your whole body in a few days. If the person hasn't died already by internal bleeding or failing of vital organs the body will continue fighting against the virus. At this stage the virus will start releasing hormones that will make the person extremely aggressive, not able to control its own body. In the stages that the body is fighting the virus and the bacteria the person can still be cured, but once the hormones and bacteria take over they cannot be cured. This is when the person is actually dead, the heart isn't beating anymore, most organs are not working anymore and most of the brain is dead. The motoric part of the brain known as the motor cortex is still intact and the body is still aggressive due to the hormones in his brain.

The Cure
When the virus was discovered with the first victims doctors all over the world started researching a cure. Due to the global cooperation in this struggle the cure was found relatively quickly. This cure was made the white blood cells able to attack this virus and destroy it. The cure was being made in very large quantities because the global population had to be cured. The Yggdrasil region established S.P.O.O.K.Y. (Special Protection Operatives by Organized Kombatants of Yggdrasil) who used cure missiles aimed at infected regions to destroy the zombie virus. Once the cure was found, fabricated and put into missiles the 'apocalypse' was as good as over. The massive missile barrages all nations used on the infected regions utterly destroyed the virus in a matter of hours. Only 0.017% (17 Billion of the 1.03 Trillion in Yggdrasil) of the people died. Although this are many deaths, in comparison it was still a good achievement of the participating nations and showed what the world can achieve if they would work together, hand in hand.

An alliance of military cooperation has been signed in Brussels

The TU, which is an alliance of multiple nations have all agreed to form an military alliance with their counterpart on earth, NATO.
During the 2014 Palorca summit the member states of the TU have all agreed to this alliance, which resulted in further dialogue between the TU and NATO.
The Secretary general of TU signed the treaty today in Brussels which will allow TU forces to be stationed in NATO countries and vice versa.

Coast of the eastern continent.

Explorers of Alahana have found a new world and started building a colony there.

A new jump gate on another world has been found. This world named after the Alahanese researcher that mapped the whole world, Toness is a new start for many people.
The world can be accessed by any jump gate by using 22-47-55-B1-54. These numbers should lead anything to one of the jump gates on the new planet.
As this is a large planet full of new found life and many resources the news could not be kept secret. So the government of Alahana decided to announce their discovery to the international community
in the hope of establishing a new and prosperous colony in peace.

People from each member state are now able to vote for their favorite party within their region.

As a federal state, the government of each federal state (called member states) are chosen separate from the main elections.
Each member state can now vote for their political party they favor. The more votes a party gets, the more seats they will receive in the regional government.

There are many political parties, each representing another way they want to steer Alahana to. The main political parties are :
Central democratic party (CDP), they are the centrist party representing free enterprise. The Socialist party (SCP) is the socialist party in Alahana. They are left wing and want more equality. The Liberal democratic party (LDP) is a conservative-liberal party. They support private enterprise and more freedom in the united Republic. Pro-Green (GREEN) is a green left wing party. They aim to create an ecologically sustainable society rooted in environmentalism and social justice. And last but not least is the Alahana national party (ANP)The ANP is the national far right party. The party rejects multiculturalism, but accepts a multiethnic society as long as people of non-Alahanese backgrounds assimilate into Alahanese culture.
But the party list is not limited to these 5 parties, there are many parties popular in certain regions, such as the Iron party , Communist party and the Traditional&cultural party that also have a few seats in the regional government.

Altough the votings are not yet finnished the regional favorites are known, here is a list:

The colonisation of Toness encountered some native life.

The planet of Toness is a new found planet full of mystery and secrets. This is also the planet that many nations are colonizing for its resources. But what we didn't know is that there was intelligent native life on the planet. Many colonies have reported sightings of these natives.

These feline humanoid creatures have all aspects of a normal cat like animal, but they act more like humans do.
Right now there are 3 distinct species found on the Toness continent. The Qurs, The Sunari and the muchies.

The government is considering to make contact to these natives.

The southern part of the lost city

The long lost story of the elves might finally find an answer.

Near the town of Kilerth in the Green river region, archeologists found an ancient city probably belonging to one of the ancient elven kingdoms.

The first archaeological evidence of the elven kingdoms can be dated back to 20,000 BC. There is only some rough information about what happened in the period before men, but this could be the city where the great library of the elves can be located. This library could possibly have information on the jump gates on multiple worlds, the magic some people posses, the arrival of men on Tarus and much more.
The ancient kingdom of Athcarion was possibly located in this area, meaning the library could be here somewhere.

Elven kingdoms
There were 4 known elven kingdoms at the time of the first elven evidence. These kingdoms were Imwarthond, also known as the high elves they lived in the east of Tarus; The Bregmollion, also known as the wood elves, they lived in central Tarus; the Athcarion, also known as the coastal elves, they lived in the lands around the Tarusian inland sea and the reef sea, meaning this was the kingdom located at the site of excavation.
The fourth and last elven kingdom were the Thoônion, also known as the dark elves inhabiting the cold northern areas. The dark elves were in constant conflict with the other 3 kingdoms.

What happened in these conflicts and what the aftermath was is unknown, even the last elves of Calen-Taur (last remnant of the Bregmollion kingdom) don't know what happened.

The first people have arrived in the region called Atlas.

The island of Aylusas, a small island in the east of Atlas has been claimed by the United Republic of Alahana.
The capital of the island is Damport on the south end of the island. The island is being colonised at the moment with only some small military units already stationed there.

The island has a great location regarding military intervention and trade capabilities. The ships that will arrive in Damport will be carrying tools and materials to start the construction of harbors and bases.
Alahana is seeking to increase its political influence and create more diplomatic relationships with other nations.

The High Council of Alahana came to an agreement to deploy additional troops to defend Alahanese interests during the ongoing conflicts in Atlas.
Aeholt Enthpol announced today that at least two thousand troops would be deployed to Aylusas island in the Curente continent. Also increased effort would go to improve the logistics on the island by improving the construction of roads, railroads, ports and airports.

"The island of Aylusas in Curente is in a very strategic valuable but a very vulnerable position. We do not have any interest yet in participating in any of the ongoing conflicts but e cannot exclude the fact that we may be dragged into one. Therefore we will send additional troops to Aylusas to help and defend it, we will also send multiple ships with goods for the construction of roads and towns."

The army will send ±2200 soldiers and ±750 armored vehicles to the island to support its defenses. Construction teams will also start working on defensive systems on the islands to replace the mobile vehicles. 1 Marinia class aircraft carrier will also go to the islands accompanied with 5 Drakon class cruisers and 8 Helios class Combat Ship. The aircraft group will also be carrying aircraft to the islands. These aircraft include F-158 Marlin fighters and F-122 Raider fighters.

Celebrations in Alahan city

It has been exactly 527 years since the formal unification of Alahana. The Alahanese unification war united the independent city states south of the Iron Mountains ,that formed after the fall of the Antarpian empire, into one unitary nation named the Kingdom of Alahana.

Brief history of the Unification wars
The Antarpian empire that almost covered all of Tarus fell in 1214, leaving many independent states including the city states of Alahana, Attbridge and Lipeta.
These three states formed an alliance formed by royal marriages. When in 1414, a war broke out between Telra and Alahan the alliance was used to counter the biggest city state south of the Iron mountains.
During this war other states sides with Telra such as Bayline, Beamen, Riverfield, Kasilof and Estis. This war lasted for 74 years when the alliance of Alahan won and united the lands into one kingdom.
This unification also had the Karkan wars as result where Alahana gained the member state of South Karkan and the incorporation of Highton into the kingdom.
