I do mean, what's wrong with there people? It was for legitimate defense, but as bad as killing someone is, that should not have counted as an intentional killing, as the victim was abusing her. What's your opinion on this?

Well, what do you expect? Iran, along with many others such as Saudi Arabia, are backwards and barbaric. They obviously need to set their clocks forward about 1,000 years.

Hmm. I will be the nasty one and say, to what extent is her story proven true? I mean, that's supposedly the reason the court decided as it did - lack of evidence for the rape attempt happening.

However, the fact that she ended up in his office is mighty suspicious (for him) - knowing nothing else, her side of the story looks more plausible perhaps. The problem is , we don't know enough facts and we won't know them - her family and her are obviously very partial in this case, as unfortunately, is the state - so getting enough information to form a proper opinion might not even be possible.

The notion that men are incapable of controlling themselves if they see a pretty lady, so women have to make sure not to induce a man into raperage is dehumanizing to males as a whole, and encourages them to view their sexuality in such a manner.
It also leads to situations where a woman is blamed for shit that's entirely beyond her control, and in this case, executed for it. But this attitude still exists in the west to some degree, we simply don't kill people for it. (Probably because we decided Adultery is a social, not criminal, issue.)

The denial of responsibility is a common theme in sexism.
The man can't be responsible, because men can't help themselves and lack agency to do so. Therefore, the woman raped the man by dressing nicely. She forced him to have sex with her and then murdered him, that bitch. (This is their mentality.)

People need to understand that they do shit and are responsible for it. Blaming others isn't productive.

Incidentally, this does show their hypocrisy. They often demand that the woman do more to "fight off" their attacker, or "Didn't scream loud enough."
This one, apparently did. But woops, execution anyway.

Iran is actually significantly better than Saudi Arabia. Hell, Iran used to be a pleasant place back in the day, when it was the Kingdom of Persia.

Women should have the right to defend/avenge their Honor. The state should respect that.

Also, isn't there some suspicion that she may not have even done the stabbing and that a third party may be trying to place the blame her to cover up something they did
