Will you be a Templar, and aim to bring order and safety to the world? Or will you be an Assassin, and bring freedom and justice? You decide your fate. But beware, enemies are everywhere and their blade may be aimed towards you.
Now, enough with all that introduction. I'm sure you're not here for any of that. So, I give you... NS Assassin's Creed I: The Victorian Chronicles.

Name: Dmitri Yeleshev
Age: 26
Gender: Male
History/Background: Born in Rostov, a major city in the Russian Empire, Dmitri Yeleshev was from a typical commoner family. They lived a rather boring life in Rostov; nothing ever major happened that affected the city in any real way. It was just your typical city. Dmitri received a rather excellent education from his mother, who educated him on the inner workings of how to clean the house properly and how to take care of the family through hard-work. Suffice to say that this had an effect on Dmitri’s personality as a hardworking and honest man. His father abused his mother regularly, which caused a very deep hatred between him and his father to form and fester.
By the age of 16, Dmitri made a move away from his self-destructive family to the great city of St. Petersburg, where he began to work in attendance at the Imperial Public Library of Russia as a librarian. This earned him a fine lifestyle for several years. Going through books all day, helping others who seek knowledge, working hard for his life just as his mother taught him. Though, her version included a lot more manual and backbreaking labor, not going through books for a living, but the moral remains the same. He also used the library for his own use, reading up on Russian and European history, along with self-teaching himself German on a whim.
He was working the library one day while he was 19, just an ordinary day until he saw a satchel that was left behind by a man visiting the library but left. Dmitri had no idea who the man was or where he lived, so he proceeded to open the brown satchel in order to find out his identity so that it could be returned. What he found was a bit more than expected. Inside were letters and documents concerning a group of people known as the Knights Templar, among other various things about Assassins. He noticed in one of the letters, it describes a location that Dmitri knew quite well and he prompted to go there at once to return the satchel to its rightful owner. He arrived at the residence and knocked on the door and was greeted by a man who wore a white outfit with a hood that was down. Dmitri explained the letters and the man took the satchel and sent Dmitri away. It was confusing, but his job was done and Dmitri returned to the library to continue his duties. He arrived to find a man searching for the very same satchel that Dmitri left with, and he began to explain how he returned it to the residence. The man began to show obvious anger and lashed out at Dmitri, only to be stopped by a white cloaked man who leaped from atop one of the book shelves and onto the man, sending a blade that was hidden within his wrist into the angered man’s throat. While still confused, the hooded man rushed Dmitri back to the residence that Dmitri was just at to return the satchel. It was here that he was informed of the struggle between the Assassins and the Templar Order, and the Templar’s goals for a “New World”. Dmitri was offered a place among the Brotherhood, and he began his training as an Assassin and was fully initiated into the Order as a full-fledged Assassin at the age of 21.
He continued his cover as a librarian for several years until the age of 23, where he decided to leave Russia and head into the Germanic Lands. He left his brothers and moved to northern Germany, where he began work as a mercenary under the employ of whoever paid the most. He still continues to work with the Assassins, and keeps their interests dear to him, even though he works at such a profession.
Personality: Dmitri is a very hardworking man, who believes that a man is entitled to the fruits of his labor. If a man works hard, he gets rewarded greatly. If a man works poorly, he is rewarded poorly. He uses this basic philosophy of working hard in his everyday life, and is not afraid to call others out when he thinks they aren’t putting their full effort in. He also believes in educating, and wishes that knowledge is provided for everyone to work towards. A strong believer in a public schooling system. He also displays a certain sense of humility and modesty in his everyday life.
An Assassin to his bone, he values personal freedom above all else. Believing that while people should work to their full potential, it should be personal choice as to what people do with their own lives of their own free will. He rarely blames others for their mistakes, and instead just aims to fix them without wasting time on petty blaming.
He’s a risk taker, though he still likes to assess situations before he jumps in. He tends to be friendly towards others, even though they likely don’t deserve it.

Afilliation: Prussia
Ultimate Goals: To unite the German States
Personallity: cunning, intelligent, militaristic, and sometimes, diplomatic
Name: Catherine Cecil
Age: 19
Gender: Female
History/Background: Born in the small Welsh village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, Catherine was the daughter of a Welsh nobleman and the Jewish maid who he had married. As she grew up, she learned Welsh. Not in school, though. The Welsh knot, given to the last child to speak Welsh at the end of the school day to determine who would be caned, determined that. She also learned English, becoming fluent in the two languages. Like many nobles, she also took courses in Latin, Greek, and French, in which she lacks fluency. She became educated in the arts and history, becoming somewhat prideful of the land that Wales was.
The first major milestone of her life came when she turned 13. Catherine learned about the Assassins and the Templars. Her father, the leader of the local Assassin den, began training her in the ways of the ancient order. She became confident in her abilities, feeling proficient in swordplay and masterful in her freerunning abilities.
When she was 16, she had a fateful encounter. While walking alone through the street, confident in her ability to defend herself, she was approached by a cloaked man. The man named himself "Jack", and approached her. As she tried to walk away, he revealed himself as a Templar agent. His primary targets had been prostitutes, allies of the assassins, who acted as informants against the Templars. After revealing this, Catherine quickly realized what was going on. She drew her blade and a fight ensued.
The two clashed steel, Jack with a sword and Catherine parrying with her dagger. Jack's offensive fighting style won in the end, and he managed to pin her down. With his blade hovering inches from her throat, he boasted about how her body would never be found. As he said this, a bullet hit his shoulder. Catherine used this to push him off, and he fled. In the shadows 20 feet away was her father, Lord Cecil, with smoking gun in hand. The incident humbled her, and made her rethink her capabilities.
For the past 3 years, she has honed her skills. Blades have been her main focus, being both quick and silent. She finds guns too loud and inaccurate, along with dangerous due to potential misfires or backfires. Refilling powder, long reload times, and eventually running out of powder, plus trying to hide a powder flask, have turned her away from them. With honed skills, she fought off future attacks. She has earned her position in the Assassin's guild, though inheritance may have helped, her skills have definitely improved.
Personality: Catherine tends to be somewhat humble, not putting herself before others. The thing she has the most confidence in is her abilities, which have been trained for the past 6 years. She is social to an extent, albeit quiet. She does not view herself as a leader, despite her high rank, but remains focused and dutiful when she is called up to it. She feels sympathy for most, and tries her best to understand every point of view. Even the templars, her enemies, are a group she attempts to understand the viewpoint of.
Appearance: http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/ ... 4c9ofm.jpg (eyes should be brown and get rid of sleeves)
Catherine has flowing wavy red hair and dark brown eyes. She wears a sleeveless velvet green gown and black kidskin evening gloves. The gown is accompanied by a corset of the same color which she does not tightlace. She also wears thigh boots, also of kidksin, a rising trend in urban centers. She wears little in terms of accessories, only a black lace choker. Her skirt is relatively small and lacks a frame, allowing her easier mobility and greater access to the dagger she often keeps strapped to her thigh. Her skin is clear, no freckles or scars or marks.
Weaponry: Dagger, occasionally sword-cane or hidden blade, but anything can be used on-the-spot if necessary (like many assassins and Templars)
Affiliation: Assassins
Good Points: Educated, bilingual, humble in most things, makes a good leader when she has to be one
Bad Points: Too confident in her abilities, too trusting, high-value target
Distinctive Features: Not really.

Name: Gregory Osinski
Age: 22
Gender: male
History/Background: Born the son of a simple carpenter in 1833, Gregory became embroiled in the assassin conflict at the age of 14. At the time fueled by nationalism for his homeland of Poland (at the time little more then a puppet for the Russian empire) he joined a group of activists lead by a survivor of the 1830 November Uprising named Karol Majewski . Having spent years helping his father in the carpentry business Gregory was soon put to work in the Polish underground building hidden compartments into the buildings they used.
At the groups secret meetings he soon noticed that the leader would occasionally have extra people over to speak with the budding revolutionaries. Usually they were the leaders of other groups outside of Warsaw, but there was also the occasional foreigner. It was before one such meeting during at the age of 16 that several of them came to a meeting to warn his leader of an attack by what they called "the cross" Gregory assumed that this was code for the Okhrana, the Russian secret police. Sure enough a group of armed men attacked the pub they were using as a meeting place while they were evacuating. Jumping back behind the bar Gregory pulled a French Le Mat pistol from one of his constructed compartments and opened fire on a group attacking the leaders, killing one attacker and injuring two others while the leaders got away. The remaining police began firing at him hitting his right arm and showering him with broken glass. Right after that a cloud of smoke filed the place and the gunfire went silent. when the smoke cleared Gregory looked up from behind the bar and saw his leader and the other leaders standing amidst the bodies of the Okhrana. Gregory was then spirited away by the group to a place that he had "refurbished" but had never been to otherwise.
There he found out the truth. Karol and the other leaders were really Assassins, dedicated to preserving humanities free will. The attackers had been the Okhrana, but they answered to the Templars, a group of power hungry individuals who controlled most world governments. He was taken in by the Assassins. In the past 6 years he has been one of the key individuals in the establishment of the Polish National Government, a resistance that secretly controls most of Poland.
Personality: In the field Gregory is a perfectionist, planning every aspect of an assassination down to a detail. He is also very brash and hot blooded about matter pertaining his native Poland.

Name: Asbjörn & Ambjörn Nyström
Age: 29
Gender: Male
History/Background:From an early age Asbjörn was taught to forgive those who hurt him and others. He lived in small Danish village in the wilderness. With him his two parents, who were pacifist in every sense of the word. Although his father stacked up at a rather imposing 6'6", he had never hurt anyone in his life, and was perhaps the walking definition of a gentle giant. Asbjörn himself was strong for a child, as he worked hard everyday out in the wilderness, his strength rivaled that of some full grown men, even at the age of 10. However, he was about 4'7", and around 90 lbs, but it wasn't strength that was his advantage. It was speed, as he hunted on foot everyday, and had to be as quick as the animals. Despite his small weight, he could beat anyone in a fight, should he have pleased, and simply due to the fact his muscle mass was rather high for his age, having a very small amount of fat. But, he wouldn't fight anyone, because, like his father, he was often rather peaceful.
But, this peace would not last long, as Denmark was engaged in a bloody conflict in 1849, and rogue groups of special German divisions often raided small villages like his own. But, his was rather out of the way, and those in the village expected to never even see German troops, so they didn't bother with precautions and went about daily life. But, one faithful day, everything changed. Asbjörn, at the age of 13, was on his way back from hunting one day when he heard screams from the village. He quickly dropped the deer on his back and broke into a full sprint. When the village came in sight, tears began to flow from his eyes, reflecting the light of the flames erupting from the homes. As gunshots rang, he screamed his mother's name at the top of his lungs, rushing through the burning village. As people ran the other way, he pushed through the crowd, running past not only corpses, but people who were still burning alive. His friends, children his age and even younger, dying before his eyes. But, he did not falter in his steps, his eyes set on one goal. To find his parents. Tears still flowing down his eyes, he found himself at his house, his mother trapped beneath the burning building. She looked up and saw him, and yelled for him to run, but, he wouldn't run, he had to save her. So, he ran to where she was trapped. The entire roof had fallen on her, but he had to get her out, she didn't deserve it, she was an innocent person. He grabbed the roof beam pinning her down, trying to pull it up as she yelled for him to run, but he wouldn't leave her. Suddenly, a large figure appeared in the ashes. It was his dad. He leaned down and gripped the beam, pulling up with everything he had, and with his incredible strength, he lifted it just enough to free her. By now, the smoke and ashes were reduced visibility to only a few inches in front of them, and it was suffocatingly hot. As Asbjörn's father lifted his mother up, they thought that they had cheated death. Not before a shot rang off in the smoke. Asbjörn looked around, confused at where it came from. Then, he looked to his father, who was clutching his chest. Blood started to seep through his fingers, and he collapsed. Asbjörn screamed out of shock, anger and sadness, but not before another shot rang out, and his mother dropped as well. He stood speechless, holding out his hands in disbelief, unable to comprehend whether he was in a nightmare of real life. But, as a horrible, evil laugh made itself apparent through the smoke and carnage, he knew that these monsters were not nightmares, but real monsters. As the laughing figure approached him, Asbjörn clenched his fists in fury, and as the man reached out to grab him, he suddenly felt a sharp, burning pain in his abdomen. Asbjörn drew back his fist as the man gasped for air, and picked up one of the burning hot charred pieced of wood. As the man crawled backwards, still in agony, Asbjörn shoved the burning hot shard of wood into the man's stomach. At first, it just burned the man, but, as Asbjörn pushed harder, it pierced the mans chest as he let out an agonized screech. Asbjörn face remained cold and blank, he had clearly been driven to the brink by his parents death. When he heard more voices, he quickly disappeared into the smoke. When three more men arrived. They gasped in fear as they smelled the burning flesh of their comrade. Two shots suddenly rang out. Two of the men dropped to the ground. The other stood in fear, not knowing what to do. He drew his rifle, but quickly found himself knocked to the ground by a child. Asbjörn stood above him, before kneeling down to punch him repeatedly in the face, relentlessly delivering blow after blow. The soldier was crying, begging for mercy. But, when he looked up into the cold, dead looking eyes of the child before him, he knew he would find no mercy. He only had the will to utter a few words, "You're... your a monster...". the soldier was paralyzed by fear, not saying a word until he was engorged in flames, and he started screaming.
As Asbjörn snapped back to what little grasp of reality he had, his eyes began to water, and he ran out of the smoke and heat, into the forest. He vomited several times at the realizations of his actions. He... he killed all those people. He was a monster. He looked at his hands in disgust. Suddenly, three more men dropped in front of him. But, they did not wish to hurt him. Instead, one of them held out his hand to Asbjörn. Soon he would learn what he had done that day. The men that rescued him were Assassins, and they were impressed by his little spectacle. So impressed in fact, that they admitted him into the Order, and told him who the men he killed were, the Templars. They were searching for supplies, and when the villagers wouldn't hand over everything, they took everything and more. He had a son when he was 18, who he named Ambjörn. Asbjörn rose to the rank of Master at the age of 21.
Personality: Asbjörn is kind, with a gentle heart, and good intentions. He values all life, but when angered, is more than willing to relieve those who don't deserve it of it. Ambjörn is an 11 year old boy, who is arguably stronger than his father when he was at that age, although he rarely trains and tends to spend most of his time messing around and pulling pranks. But, he is good hearted and, like his father, values all life.

Good Points:
Asbjörn: Look at him. He's freaking huge.
Ambjörn: Incredibly smart and nimble, faster than most full grown men, but strong for his age.
Bad Points:
Asbjörn: Can loose control and stop thinking logically, putting his life on the line. But can also fail to do what needs to be done if it means somebody must die who doesn't deserve it.
Ambjörn: He's weaker than most grown men, being only 11 and has trouble paying attention. He must use stealth and speed, and can rarely take enemies skilled in combat head on. And like his father, he can loose control and quickly risk his life meaninglessly.
