The World Conference on Human Trafficking and Illegal Migration


Honorable Leaders of the world,

I am here to invite you today, to a conference that shall unite the members of the world to a common assemblage to discuss the recent affairs of our member states. Such a conference aims to ensure a future that is brighter, more secure, and free of slavery.

With the discussion of the conference, which will run throughout the week – I hope to see rulings be made, judgments to be called, and a new chapter of WA politics to reveal itself – as a turning point in political diplomacy.

Some hum-drum declarations…

* The Conference will be a week long, starting with the opening ceremony, and ending with a closing ceremony respectively.
* It will start on January 4 2010
* It will take place in this subforum
* Delegates are welcome and in fact recommended to represent regions,
* Unions & Regional Alliances are also very welcome,
* You must state your nations' affiliation to the WA - if it be member-state (joined), delegate, observing (not-joined) or a part of the Secretariat.
* Non-WA Observers are fine, as long as they declare themselves observers and not delegates or WA members.
* (OOC: ‘In Character’ posts will be encouraged and absolutely free form. )


There will need to be topics concerning the security of our citizen against nations that want to enslave them to be developed beforehand. One major topic of discussion could be weather slavery of any form is right or wrong.

And there will also need to be a few Mediators to make sure the Summit is productive, as well as keeping the discussions focused and flowing.

This leaves me with a few positions (that I can think of at the top of my head) to be filled,

The Summit will need,

* A Chief of Diplomatic Affairs, to decide the issues of importance that need to be covered in the Summit.
* A Senior Mediator, and two other Diplomatic Mediators.
* And a Public Relations Coordinator, to help with the advertising of the event.


Feel free to suggest topics for discussion, nominate yourself or others for positions (and I’ll review the nomination), and also don’t hesitate to just give a good ol’ thumbs up for approval of this summit, a.k.a, see you in January

We would do it, but current events have limited the free time we have to set up such an important event, so we are glad to see that someone else has decided to do it. We have entrusted Alyssa Locke, New Olwe's Ambassador to Aljaharra, with the responsibility of representing us as a diplomat, but also wish to send General Erik Wansor of the Anti-Slavery Task Force in case the military aspect of this issue comes up. General Wansor has been an officer in the Olwean military for 25 years, and during that time has taken the scalps of 83 slavers.
