Maybe they were too intimidated to file complaints?

I personally think that the bans are stupid. Painting nose art, especially pin-up girls, has been a time-honored and morale-boosting tradition since World War I. It allows pilots and crews to think of their aircraft as 'their aircraft'; and, painting their aircraft during lulls in action is a nice reprieve from combat duties.
In addition, none of the 5,400 female personnel in the RAF have filed a single complaint in protest of the practice; therefore, I'm of the opinion that the bans were done in the name of political correctness rather than any real benefit.
What does NSG think?
