How do you technically treat your people? according to your people?

Our people acknowledge that we treat them brutally, however they believe it a justified.

Same with the oppression. They not only care that they are oppressed, but they are literally against freedom itself.

Our people are granted near-absolute freedom in anything they do as long as it doesn't affect anyone else. we have no age of consent or legal drinking age.

as long as nobody tries to violate other people's rights, harm someone physically or financially, etc, etc, you can do pretty much anything except run corporation and exploit the proletariat

We have a very strict and organized society. All able bodied and minded citizens partake in the military. Those that are not able perform civic duty in other ways. We also have a 78% tax rate. The military way of life is pervasive through all levels of life as well.

However, this is accepted to be the cost of living in the most educated, safest, advanced, and wealthiest nation of all of our allied nations. All citizens receive an education, enjoy pure free speech, an incredible array of public services, and political freedom. With an utter lack crime, having not seen war on our soil in over five hundred years, and not a single citizen below our regional poverty level, our citizens view such a large and controlling government, which is still controlled by the people, to be necessary to our way of life.

(And given the armed nature of the population, they must agree this is in their best interest)

Generally well, thank you very much. They enjoy great social freedom and have a booming economy where the free market system is protected and is allowed to prosper.

The government treats the people kindly, as long as they are willing to live in peace, foster social harmony, and adhere to the Laws of Adab. The people themselves testify to this and often tell foreigners that they love what the government does to them.

All the major freedoms are rights that are protected by law to all sentient beings in the republic. And there is extensive social welfare as well as universal healthcare and education.

We do what we think is best for our people. Viewed from outsiders might see us as brutal oppressive dictatorship but what they don't know is that the people set the dictatorship up themselves are actually very happy so happy in fact that they demanded that emperor Ishmael Kane be declared a god they actually broke into parliament and personally created an amendment stating that he is a god. The people are very happy and we just try to do what we think is best for them and to protect them from others and themselves.
