The Barathea and Ferrer Story:
The Barathea and Ferrer Tobacco Corporation wasn't always a burgeoning multinational Corporation as it is today. It all started with quality Virginia and Aegerian tobaccos, two friends, and a dream. In 1880, Edwin Folestone, Count of Barathea, and his business partner Sir Alphonso Ferrer were at a small party being held at Ferrer's country house. Their original business, a company involved in construction had been doomed because of lack of need for a new competitor in the industry. This party would have been one of the last, had the Count of Barathea and Sir Ferrer not discovered an important innovation in tobacco. The two friends had two packs of loose pipe tobacco between them at the end of the night. One had Virginia tobacco, and the other pack, Aegerian tobacco. They knew that each man only had enough for half a pipe, so they compromised, mixing the two tobaccos thoroughly and deciding to share one pipeful between them. What the two men discovered was the incredible, unparalelled flavor of blended Aegerian and Virginia tobaccoes. A year later, with help from investors, the two friends started another company together: The Barathea and Ferrer Tobacco Company. The popularity of their unique blend was so great, that Barathea and Ferrer won the Varthing Tobacco Fair of 1889, and in 1934 they won the Continental Fair's Blue Ribbon for finest tobacco. Today the Barathea and Ferrer Tobacco Company owns several distinct brands, including the Elephantine, Private Circle, and Regis brands of cigarettes.

The Barathea and Ferrer Tobacco Corporation is aware that we are living in a changing world, where people now have a strong opposition to cigarettes, and the environment is placed in high regards, because after all, the global climate is changing. The anti tobacco talking heads are right in part, tar has been confirmed to be harmful, and so has carbon monoxide. However, it is rarely said that tobacco smoking calms the nerves, increases concentration, raises ones mood, and prevents weight gain in most people. It is also important to realize how much government agencies and nonprofits have to gain from trashing the tobacco industry. The production of anti tobacco advertisements and research provides employment for the bohemian and pencil-necked constitutuents of many so called 'progressive' politicians who are, not surprisingly, the ones who push most for warnings and government funding for anti-smoking campaigns
In regards to newfound interest in protecting the health of our global climate, we have made several changes in how we run our business. Today, we try to use low tar, environmentally sustainable varieties of paper. In addition, we try to make filters which catch more tar and carbon monoxide than regular traditional filters.

The Honorable Count of Tegen, William Attenborough-Glisach is the current CEO and Chairman of the Barathea and Ferrer Tobacco Corporation. He has been in the corporation since 1995 and he has been the CEO since 2006. He became chairman of the board in 2013, after the passing of longtime chairman of the board, Linus Vilderveks. He holds a BA in business from the University of Teck, as well as A Master's in business. He has passed the legal bar examination for his home kingdom of Germania. He is fluent in English, German, and French

Barathea and Ferrer Cigarettes are where it all started. The original tobacco, and Namesake for our company, Barathea and Ferrer is sure to please even the most discriminating tastes. Barathea and Ferrer Cigarettes are made of a blend of two fine tobaccos. One of every two leaves that goes into Barathea and Ferrer cigarettes originated in sun-kissed fields on the aegerian islands, beneath the peaks of hills and island mounts. The other leaf in every two leaves is a fine, high quality virginia tobacco leaf. Half of the virginia tobacco which goes into Barathea and Ferrer cigarettes is flue cured, and the other half air cured. The Aegerian tobacco is both flue cured, and sun cured.

Elephantine
The Elephantine Cigarette Company, which produces Elephantine Cigarettes, was acquired by the Barathea and Ferrer Tobacco Corporation in 1945. Originally a relatively small company founded in 1910, it held less than 3 percent of the market share in 1945 when it was acquired. After Barathea and Ferrer repositioned the product as a budget brand tobacco and begun marketing it more aggresively, the product steadily began to increase its influence in the cigarette market. Today, Elephantine Cigarettes holdabout 8 % of the market share in Arcadia-Europa. While slightly shorter than Barathea and Ferrer cigarettes, they are often enjoyed by their smokers for a more mellow and soft taste, and quicker burn.
Elephantine Cigarettes are made of air cured virginia tobacco and a very small amount of fire cured white burley. The filters are produced from cellulose acetate, as always with our cigarettes. The Elephantine brand is sure to appeal to smokers who want to enjoy a decent, quality smoke, but not pay a luxury brand price.

Private Circle Cigarettes are truly a national icon, just like Barathea and Ferrer Cigarettes. Made with toasted Graecian Tobacco, and with the old fashioned charcoal filter which is said to purify the tobacco, like a charcoal water filter does, these cigarettes are an Arcadian-Europan icon of the 1950's.
