A Brave New World [closed]

Postby The Republic of Ageos » Fri Apr 18, 2014 12:45 pm

The morning was cool and moist, the sun hadnt even risen over the royal estate yet. He gazed out the window while his staff laid out his breakfast. A simple meal made of fruits and vegetables, a glass of cold fresh milk on the side. For all the wealth and power he viewed himself not above the common people of Ageos.. He turned and sat on the floor at his table and quietly ate the meal. he used this time to thank his ancestors for the opportunity to live and experience the mysteries of life. He thanked them for their sacrifices that placed himself and their nation upon its path, and he swore in their honor he would devote his life to leading his brothers and sisters upon a just path. A path of righteousness and wholeness, where all were equal and none were cast aside. He knew the challenges ahead would be vast.. but with some luck and perseverance they would forge ahead.

As he finished his meal he dressed in simple yet elegant clothes, nothing spectacular but they were tailored to fit well and made of quality fabrics. He enjoyed the comfort of them, but.. he was raised to never take for granted anything. he knew there were people who looked up to him that had little. He would see them be prosperous, he swore it. He sat down in his office and looked to the radio.. with several deep breaths he calmed himself. As the sun rose.. he spoke to his nation.

The Peoples Republic of Ageos, Beijing. First Frost of 2050

The sun rose triumphantly into the sky over Beijing, the buildings cycling their environmental features to begin absorption of solar radiation for power conservation. Most of the populace was either waking up or on their ways to their occupation. there was a somber but pleasant feeling in the air. They kept an ear out for the morning's broadcast.. The Premier had been making morning broadcasts now every day for years.. it became a welcome start of the day. Proverbs, wisdom, sometimes messages of hope.. he inspired the people with his idealism. So Premier Xianxi again this morning. Spoke to his nation.

"My Brothers and Sisters, Today is a glorious morning to be alive. The air is cleaner than it has been in decades.. the weather is turning warmer, and the frost has broken. Take it in; the crisp, clean, and cool air sweet with opportunities and limitless possibilities. Have you thanked your ancestors today for the gifts they have granted you? Always remember to show respect where it is due. I awoke this morning to a realization. many of us in the great cities have much, but our brothers and sisters in the less populated and far away town and remote villages have so very little. Never forget about them and their struggles. We will right these wrongs together and together we will be great. With All, For All, Unto All my brothers and sisters. Thank you for your time, this is your Premier Tien Xianxi."

The President's eyes opened as the plane began it's descent into Lemuria. The flight from Westcastle had been long, but the trip had been productive and President Navarre had managed to renegotiate the terms of the Lemurian Naval Station at Brunei to allow for more jurisdictional freedoms on the base and she had also managed to work with the Treskelion Prime Minister to secure a new trade and investment deal that would only need to be ratified by the respective Parliaments of the two allies.

She yawned and then looked at her tablet, which was loading news content. She smiled and closed it as the stewardess came through the cabin and gave the signal for final approach. Within a few minutes, Condor One - The President's Jet - had landed on the Executive airstrip of Lemuria International Airport. The President stood to her feet and took a moment to compose herself. Afterall, she was about to step out into the press and she had promised herself that she would always put her best foot forward.

Marianne Navarre, the 3rd female President of Lemuris, applied fresh make up, straightened her suit jacket and the Lemurian flag pin on her lapel. She smiled widely and then exited the aircraft with her Secret Service detail closely watching her every move. The crowds outside the airplane were very small, which was to be expected at such an early hour, but they were still there. The President made her way out of the craft and to her car, which drove her to the President's residential complex at One Federation Drive.

Walking into the residence, she made her way to her office and sat down behind the large oak desk that looked out over the waterfront. During the flight from South Africa, the President had a dream and she began to write it out on paper, so that she could formulate a plan for bringing this dream to fruition.

She called the Office of the Prime Minister and left details for him to work on some of her ideas before heading off to bed. Afterall, she had a meeting with the Prime Minister, Chancellor of the Senate, and Speaker of the House in less than six hours. There were many important matters that needed to be discussed, including the upcoming referendums in Greenland Province and the Angola Territory. There was much to do, but little time to accomplish it all.

The United States of Eden

Americana, Federal District

The Presidential election was one of the most hotly contested in Edenic history. The remarkable election led the election of the first Republican since 2020, ending 30 years of Democrat control of the White House. The former Governor of New York, Anthony Estrada, a Rockefeller Republican, clinched his party's nomination facing the far right, nativist wing of his party. He ran a campaign blaming the radicals for the failure of the GOP, he chose Annemarie Anderson, Senator from North Carolina as his running mate. The Democrats nominated populist darling, Governor of California, Quentin Allen as their candidate alongside Governor of the Federal District, Walter Carter for their ticket. Both teams raced across the United States, Estrada capitalized on his Hispanic ethnicity and attacked Allen over California's tax burden. Estrada makes himself into a moderate Republican during the general election. The battlegrounds were New York, Florida, California, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Texas and Pennsylvania. In the Presidential debates, Estrada came out on top, appealing to the young generations alongside unmotivated older generations, focusing his campaign around "Responsibility for Eden".

In foreign policy, Estrada supports strict cooperation with Eden's allies and statehood for the DR Congo, an issue that faces filibuster in the new Congress. The DR Congo has shown they want statehood in the last referendum, however, nativist sectors of both parties want to block the Congo's ascension.

On election night, Estrada captured all swing states, including Allen's home state of California, alongside the heavily liberal Federal District, Florida was the tipping point. In an excerpt from his victory speech in Times Square, he said the following.

"The page turns for the United States of Eden. Tonight, the Republican Party has captured all bastions of government. You've made history not only electing the first Hispanic, but putting democracy back in this country. We face challenges ahead, but as a country, united, we've shown the world we can accomplish anything. God bless these United States!"

The President-Elect has many issues facing him ahead, the GOP recaptured the White House and House of Representatives but the Senate is split straight down the middle, but with Anderson as VP, some work can be done, especially with moderate Democrats. President-Elect Estrada and his Staff focus on his 100 Days Legislation, including Education Overhaul and the Bermuda Summit, right after inauguration day.

Downtown Treviso
A gray limousine with the Treviso federal insignia rolls down a congested street. Tinted black windows reveal a busy city street outside. The street is clogged with pedestrians and the morning rush hour. Tourist, businessman, couples, and the like fill the sleek storefronts of cafes and restaurants. Others walk down into a nearby metro station and wait at bus stations. Such is life as the capital wakes up and prepares for another work day after an eventful night of new years partying. A representative from Lemuris sits across from a escort. The Italian goes through files and debriefs the foreign delegate on the up coming meeting. A glossy oak table sits alongside the Lemuris representative and his escort. A young intern, roughly aged around 24 with brown hair and brown eyes hands the Lemuris representative a freshly brewed Caffè Latte, plumes of steam rise from the cup, filling the cabin with the smell of rich coffee.

"Stock markets open today after yesterdays DOW increase, experts speculative on how long the DOW will rise before falling..."

The escort turns downs the radio via a touch screen beside the table. He clears his throat and hands a tablet over to the representative. "The meetings at 9 am on the 20th floor in room 285 A. We thank you for coming at such short notice. Secretary of State Ada will greet you for negotiations." The limo takes a turn down another side street, skyscrapers cast long shadows over the streets as the morning sun rises. Earlier, a NAP was proposed between Treviso and Lemuris and a meeting between advisors was occuring today.

Outside Budapest
An old estate, flushed in victorian style architecture stood amongst a sea of white hills and tilias. A fireplace slowly crackled from flames and a man in sketchy attire sat smoking an e-cigarette. A grand daddy clock ticked in the background as he sat at the end of a long oak table. At the other end of the table a private arms dealer from Krolestwo sat.

Real authentic cigarettes had been banned in the country for over 25 years.

"Fucking vapor." He hissed as he rolled the e-cig between his teeth. He looked over the data and inventory that was to be shipped to southern Italy, it simply acquired his final signature. It mostly consisted of a newly developed armor piercing shell co-developed by Treviso-Krolestwo arms manufacturers. Along with several prototype artillery pieces. The documents front page on the tablet had 'Classified' embroiled on it, along with the Krolestwo federal insignia on it.

"Boy come here." Turning and waving a young private who stood guard at the door over to him.
"Get this man some wine would you?"

"Yes sir," The private said, doing an about face and leaving the room. The pitter patter of rain began outside.

"So...Mr.Bereza, I believe this an acceptable agreement. Treviso thanks for your comradely support." He said, puffing his e-cig. The man signed the document and handed it to another private who approached him and gently grasped the tablet, handing it back to the arms dealer.

"Please, sit and have breakfast with me. We have much to discuss. The weather isnt improving either." He said, turning his head to a large window revealing heavy snow falling.

20 miles off the coast of Sicily
The Republics 1st Fleet, established with patrolling the Mediterranean was undergoing naval simulation trials with its newest flagship. The R.T.S. Jupiter, a brand new line of super-carriers powered by fusion reactors.

http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/252/d/4/l_n_s__liberty___concept_by_ruhisu-d2yadrm.png

Consisting of 50-65 ships, with only 3 out on the sea trial alongside the R.T.S. Jupiter. Taking 8 years to construct it was the newest achievement of the Italian navy. Only 5 other carriers were in active operation.

Admiral Milena was a fresh, young leader with only couple years under his belt. But he exceeded in the National Naval Academy, extending far beyond expectations. It wasnt long before he had received a notification on his appointment to Admiral.

"Lets stretch her legs shall we?" Milena said.

"Aye Admiral." The helmsman said, turning the wheel to port outward to open sea.

Meanwhile, the carrier slowly gained speed, parting the waves with her bow. Once farther out, flight trials would begin and the newly formed squadrons would begin their first real combat training on board their home.

Emily Sparrowhawk had been the Foreign Minister of Lemuris for the past three years, and in that time she had managed to secure a small legacy of Lemurian cooperation and investment in global relations, but signing this Treaty of Non-Aggression with Treviso would likely be considered the crowning jewel in her foreign policy tenure. The Foreign Minister had been granted authority by the Chancellor and Prime Minister to sign the treaty with the full authority of Parliament, which would then only require the President's signature for final approval. She took a sip of the latte, and smiled. It was good, indeed.

Being handed the tablet, Emily quickly looked it over and it fit with his recollection. President Navarre had asked him to drop a meeting that he had scheduled with the United States to attend this one instead, showing the level of importance she wished to place on the signing of this treaty, which would not only create a symbolic treaty to recognize each other's desire to be friends and not commit acts of war against each other - the defacto state of affairs - but also to commit Lemuris to ensuring the security of Africa's sovereign states alongside Treviso and Tristu. In response, Emily said, "It is my pleasure. I am honored to be here."

Truth be known, she was looking forward to meeting with the Secretary of State. This would actually be the first face-to-face meeting between the two Chief Diplomats of their respective states.

Chairman Xue Chiranjivi was making his way back to Beijing from the Vikerian Islands. As his plane passed over the Gothis Peninsula the broadcast from Premier Xianxi was played over the speakers of the plane. Xue was in he Vikerian Islands for the annual ceremony to renew the centuries old trade agreement, and officially open the recently completed Gothis Railway. The Vikerian leadership was also pushing for a pipeline to run a route similar to the railway. A issue that must be talked over with the Premier.

While for most things the government was nearly split evenly between the Premier and the Chairman there are times they need to work out issues together. As the plane approached the airport in Beijing where his limo was waiting the Chairman looked over his messages and found a reminder from his Chief of Staff that the Beijing Economic Summit was coming up at the end of the month. The summit was important now the Ageos has become a stable power in its region. With the population growing needs had to be filled and the Chairman had for months been in talks with the Federation of Lemuris and The United Kingdom of Tanyer. They are to become major trade partners of Ageos. And it was the hope of the Chairman that Ageos would also be able to take a bigger place in the world of trade.

Message to Foreign and Economic Departments of the world governments

The Great Nation of Ageos hereby extends invitations to all nations to attend the 2050 Beijing Economic Summit, at the end of the month. The nation of Ageos proudly welcomes our neighbors of this world to meet and discuss their respective economic futures. The nation of Ageos is open to allowing trade between ourselves and nations that we believe have the interest of their people at heart.

A day in Anahuac

Postby Anahuac Peoples » Fri Apr 18, 2014 3:08 pm

"Up." The words fall on deaf ears as young Chicahua looks up at the clouds, dazed. Why, exactly, must he be lying in the dirt? "Come on, up." A firm voice calls out as he comes to his senses, pulling himself up. A sensation shoots through his shoulder and neck, a pain he hadn't noticed before. With a heavy sigh he finally stands and looks to one of his older classmates, standing in-front of him with a serious demeanor. All around him, Chicahua hears whispered conversations until the voice from before breaks the calm.
"How will you defend your home and family, if you can't even find the will to stand without help?" Asks his teacher in a condescending tone. Chicahua scoffs at the remark, thinking it absurd. "Who am I to defend against? Are the Spanish Invaders to rise from their graves?" he replied sarcastically, earning him a swift smack to the side of his head. "Chicahua? What name is that? What strength have you? Perhaps your mother should have named you Ihuicatl instead, since you spend so much time in the dirt staring at clouds." Chicahua scowled, the insult worked and he was agitated. "Dislike it? Then continue." With a renewed spirit, Chicahua moved in towards his opponent. There was a tense pause as each waited for a move, untill Chicahua took initiative. A strong kick, followed by a good exchange of blows right before the grapple, and then a familiar sensation of weightlessness. Followed by the sting... In the Dirt again.. School sucks.

After school ends, a roughed up Chicahua begins his daily walk home through Texcoco. His path takes him past the Girl's school his younger sister attends. The girls get out much later, since their curriculum is much more in depth than the basics of education and military training. He paused for a moment, a beautiful girl having drawn his interest, enticing chiding words to come from his classmates. "Before you seek a woman, you should learn to fight like a Man.".. More Criticism. "I do fight like a man, but Cuetlachtli fights like two. So I lost." This reply gains the laughter of his classmates. "If you wish for a beautiful woman, then you should fight like two men." One replied.
In truth Chicahua was not a bad fighter... By international standards, he would be much more competent than most people. However, in the Confederation all boys learn the various Arts of War in school, and even the women learn to Defend themselves. In this environment, even a decent fighter could be seen as unimpressive. Anahuac Society could be very critical of men, especially in areas made up mostly by the Nahua ethnic group, especially those of the Mexica. Chicahua's struggle was not uncommon. For the most part the ribbing is well meant, but it can grate the nerves for a proud 16 year old, and some children can take things too far.

After finally returning Home, Chicahua is greeted by his Sister's mother, Chalchiuitl. His own had not yet returned home from work. With his father being National Reserves, he wasn't sure if his father would be home to greet him. Often the National and Local Reserves get called to aid in Road Construction, and do other manual labor for Companies and the State. "Are you alright, my boy. Your brow is busted." Chalchiuitl asks, concerned as if he were her own, which was not uncommon for mothers in her shoes. "I'm fine, just got a bad paring during sparing today." He spoke, not to worry her. In many ways he was closer to Chalchiuitl than his own mother, as she often stayed to lead things at home, being the First Wife. "Come, sit, I will make you something to eat." She spoke softly as she went to fetch something. Chicahua sat, wondering if he would be able to find a woman if he couldn't prove himself. Perhaps focus on studying, or art, or something to gain Special Omittance from Military Duty, which was usually Mandatory for men in the Confederation. Less he end up in the Local Reserves and shame his Mother's name. As he wondered, the television ran in the background.

Anahuac Confederation News, Summit Announced
"A Summit of Indigenous Peoples of Cemanahuac will be taking place later this month in Bayamo Cuba. The site was chosen due to the areas historical significance, with three notable sites of major defeat for Spanish forces located nearby.
Cuba, being the focal point of the War against Spanish Colonialism, noted as the most successful Offensive Military campaign against a Foreign Colonial Power by Cemanahuac Native Peoples, is often seen as a Symbol against Foreign Colonialism across Cemanahuac.
What is on the agenda has not yet been established, however known Participants have been confirmed: Wayuu Union, Kingdom of Cuyo, and our own Confederation. Invitation has been sent to the "Terran Empire", but as of yet no official word in response.
Controversially, invites to Native Leadership within the Edenic States and Lemuris Federation have also been sent."

Kingdom of Tritsu

The Golden Falcon Standard still flew above the lands of Persia. The land had been mostly peaceful since the late fifteenth century which led to the increasing wealth of a resource poor landscape. When Oil was discovered and exploited not only did the Kingdom become impossibly wealthy, but it also led to disagreement about the future of the nation. Since the turn of the century Tritsu has worked on exploiting what resources it has. As the century moved on and dependence on Oil was declining in many nations Tritsu turned to cleaner resources itself. Great swaths of the Arabian Peninsula are home to Solar Farms.

In the west, the Greek Satrapy stands on the edge of Europe, a reminder that Tritsu once sought to conquer the known world. In the East the lands of the Indus River swell with people as nearly a fifth of the nation's population lives along the banks of that river. In Egypt religious unrest of the early 21st century has since subsided. The Islamic Imams finally having been reminded of the agreement that agrees between them and the last Saoshyant during the conquest of the Islamic Empire. There hasn't been a Saoshyant since this time and there has been no need for the Priests of the Great Fire Temples to select a Saoshyant to save Zoroastrianism.

Two territories have been lost and not recovered however. The Crimea lost to Tanyer and Kashmir lost during the Mongol Wars which has found its way into the possession of Hindustan. While the Satraps of those lost lands every-so-often put plans forward to retake them, the Shahanshah always rejects the idea. The current Shahanshah was young still, but did not seek out needless wars. While he was open to aiding Zoroastrians wherever they lived and a fairly large temple was in Kashmir which had some 2 million followers mostly along the Tritsuvian Border. Aid was always being sent across to them in the form of money and healthcare supplies. No military aid was ever given, but there were no restrictions on what the money could be used for.

Babylon, Primary Capitol of Tritsu
The Shahanshah, Xerxes XIV was discussing matters with his Satraps during a monthly two day meeting at the Chamber of Satraps. They continued to try and get him to invade Hindustan. Or seek to purchase Crimea. Neither was the goal of Xerxes. He had eyes elsewhere. He wanted to secure the Red Sea and end Piracy there forever.

"My Satraps, we cannot go around simply invading nations at will. Our primary concern should be the Pirates coming out of Eritrea and Djibouti. Our Naval forces can easily secure the seas whenever they are there. However, if we are to be taken seriously we must take control of the lands there and root out the Pirates on shore. As Shahanshah I am ordering the Satrapies of Egypt, Yemen, and Mecca to send additional funding to the Navy for this operation. This will put an end to Piracy of the Red Sea. Whereas my predecessors have invaded and destroyed pirate bases I plan to annex the territories and govern them to prevent the return of piracy. With the end of Red Sea Piracy our shipping companies won't be charging as much as they do and we will be able to get support for making a wider canal near the Suez. It will take as long as two years to do so, but should we succeed we will be able to move larger ships through and increse trade to our Red Sea Ports from Europe. Shipping companies are always making larger vessels and some of them simply cannot fit. Thus, to create a larger, wider, deeper Suez Canal, we must secure the lands the Pirates control currently. "

Orders were written up and a Ctesiphon Battleship, three Varn cruisers, and several Destroyers were ordered to the Coastline there and Annexation notices were sent to the Puppet governments there which were controlled by the Pirates by this point. They were asked to prepare any loyal forces to fight against the Pirates. Across the strait in Yemen 35,000 Yemeni troops were prepared to do battle along side 10,000 Egyptian Marines. The hope is that the pirates give up with no fight, but pirates have never been given mercy at the hands of Tritsu.

Also coming across the Shahanshah's desk was the coming World Expo in June. Tritsu always showcased some of its latest military tech at these expos as well as new civilian technologies. This year he had just the concept for the world expo something to get the world excited.

Mendoza, Palace of the Aconcagua, Kingdom of Cuyo, Cuyumian Empire
Tavras V, Emperor of the Huarpe, the Maipeans, the Selknam and the Charrua, walked across the halls, feeling the weight of a far heavier title over his shoulders. On his 32 years, he had ensured the throne to be safe, and his son, Telron, was a secure heir. However, the Kingdoms were on a constant unrest. Chaco was under the heavy influence of a new religious system introduced from the eastern continent, and King Galero III constantly seeked Imperial aid on financing a force to keep the unrest at bay. King Oleras II of the Charrúa was also a problem, but on another way. Oleras was constantly questioning the Emperor´s calls on politics, and using the Conservative Party against him. But by must, the Maipeans were a problem. There was no kingdom of Maipo, but a Prefecture, controled by his brother, Osar, and directly under his sight. His brother reported the Maipeans were once more appointin local chieftains and Strategists, and small militias had attacked Governemnt Caravans. He was forced to pour 12.000 troops to the Western Andes last week, and another 10.000 could be needed if he even wanted to stop a rebellion.
Inca Pacha Aika IV was another issue. He accepted Cuyumian rule over the Antisuyu thirty years ago, but the now old Inca (the title was conserved) grew in power, and the far away country of the Antisuyu was at least... complicated. Their culture was far too different, their toungue too strong and their warriors still veterans from the 2nd War of Atacama, only 40 years earlier.

Tavras had too much on his head. And on his sight, Queen Anakena, ruler of Nahuel, the southern Kingdom. She appeared from a room and bowed in front of the Emperor, wearing a light blue dress and a light silver crown. "Your Grace."
"Queen Anakena... You are radiant today. I hope my wife was a good host this morning."
"She was." The Monarch of the Patagonia raised her sight and looked at him. "Had it not been for her, this morning would have been terribly boring."
They walked through the gardens of the Palace, designed to make alignments and sights with the Andes on the background, its specific summits crowning lines of plants and trees, and above all, the Aconcagua, the King of the Mounts. they finally sat under a tree and had a light lunch.

"I was told of your acceptance to the Cuban Summit."
"I did accepted. It will be the second time the Emperor leaves our territory."
She poured some wine on their cup. "I was hoping to make sure you would attend. Seems I travelled for nothing."
"Oh! I am sure the Queen can still enjoy the goods of the capital."
She laughed. Her sound made him joyfull. "I will, Indeed. But there is another thing to make my trip usefull."
"I am listening."
"The Chacan King... they say he has embraced that foreign faith... I am tolerant of our many creeds, but having a Crown over a heart devoted to a foreign God..."
He interrupted her. "The Courts would never allow the Emperor mendling in the affairs of faith of the Kings. However, I am sure those rumours are false."

They continued taking about other topics, until his wife, Ramira, appeared and he said farewell. It was a silence he disliked.

Cuyumia had issues, and the Kings were not the least of those. But the civil worries over environment, polution, crime and education were always present, and the West was still under occupation.

President Navarre met with her Executive Core team, which included the Prime Minister, Speaker of the House of Commons, and Chancellor of the Senate. Among the topics discussed was the invitation to the Bayamo Summit. After an intense discussion, it was determined that Prime Minister Brian Atleo would go to represent Lemuris at the Summit, given that he is also the Chief of the First Nations Confederation. The Office of The Prime Minister dispatched a message to the Foreign Ministry in Texcoco, confirming that the Prime Minister would be in attendance and thanking the hosts for putting this summit on.

Florence, Treviso

The World Expo Center received confirmation from Lemuris that a pavilion was requested to showcase the North American dream of space and travel into the beyond.

Luana, Angola

Premiere Manuel Vicente's desk was flooded with paperwork about the ongoing peacekeeping operations in Eastern Angola against the Zambian rebels as well as other internal issues. One topic of note that crossed his desk was an intelligence report that showed troop movements toward the Sovereign States of Eritrea and Djibouti. These types of movements were of great concern to him and so he sent a secured email to the Federal Capital in Lemuria, asking for an inquiry to be made.

The Angolans knew that it would take a few days for the Foreign Ministry to muster the proper words for the inquiry, but nonetheless, it would be made. Hopefully, this would not cause further instability in neighboring Zomboda, which was the Premiere's primary concern.

Warsaw, Miasto Megalopolis, Krolestwo Commonwealth

Tytus Blaszczak, Chief Justice of the Commonwealth, sat in his office, which was atop the tallest building in the entire city. Being the wealthiest, and most powerful man in the entire Commonwealth had its perks, the view being one. Knowing what went on in even the grimiest dive bar was another. No one breathed in his city without him knowing. It just so happened, that as he sat, blankly staring out across the factory-dominated skyline, a meeting was about to takeplace far below in the city's underbelly.

Latin and Krolesti officials were meeting outside the public eye, so as to not alert any foreign powers as to what was going to be agreed upon between the two powers. While both Treviso and the Commonwealth enjoyed a close relationship, there was no official diplomatic agreements between the two states. The day has come where that will change.

Aldona Zubal, the Commonwealth's Ambassador to Greater Treviso, sat quietly in a booth in the "Sweet Divines" restaurant on the North-side of Warsaw. She waited for her Italian counterpart to arrive. Of the topics that were going to be discussed, an economic and military Union would be paramount.

Greater Treviso wrote:

Aleksy nodded at his Latin counterpart. Indeed, they did have much to discuss. Though he represented a partnership of private Krolesti Corporations, he also spoke with the authority of the Court of Justices. The Commonwealth was very interested in what Treviso was offering, as it benefited both and had little negative impact on the Commonwealth's own energy industry.

"Am I correct in assuming I am here to discuss the possibility of a jointly-owned and controlled Alternative Energy program?"

To the Summit Committee,
Joint Letter from the Native American Caucus and Native League

Dear brethren, we are delighted to partake in this endeavor. We applaud the victory over the Spanish Imperialist and celebrate it as a victory for our people. All nations recognized by the Federal Government and the minor nations recognized by the many states, will send a large delegation to Bayamo to partake in this congregation.

Thank You,
Chief Yatasin of the Sioux, President of the Native League

Invitation of Inauguration, Lemuris
To President Navarre

Dear great ally of the United States of Eden, I, Anthony Eden, cordially invite you the festivities of my inauguration on January 21st of this fine year. Let this be the first step of a long and close relationship between our two blood linked, close nations to accomplish our set goals. It would be my pleasure should you attend, a section will be reserved for you and whomever you wish to invite.

Thank You,
President-Elect of the United States of Eden, Anthony Estrada

3400 South Capitol Street, Democratic Party Headquarters

Before the table sat the most prominent Democrats in the country: Governor of Texas, Pat Bryce; Governor of Pennsylvania, Isabel Leahy and Democrat Chairman Vince Burke. "We cannot allow Estrada to gain ground, we've maintained this system for almost 30 years, I knew Allen was a long shot anyways" said Burke to Bryce and Leahy, whom looked at each other. "We can agree on the first, but not the last, you can thank Planned Parenthood and all those socialist groups for funneling money into his candidacy. If we lost control already of most of government, we cannot lose control of the Governorships and State Legislatures. You need to push more gerrymandering laws, Vin." said Bryce. "Socialist' groups, you've got me to be kidding me" said Leahy as Bryce rolled his eyes at her. "We could go with Operation Blue and gain information on Estrada to pull another 2020 on the Grand 'Old' Party" said Burke chuckling. "Do what you must, but if you don't come up with anything soon, i'll make sure YOU don't have this same office in a few weeks" said Bryce before walking out the room.

High Altamira; Union of Brandenburg-Hansa:

A light snow falls over the magnificent city, blanketing the ground with a chilly white film. It descends softly, and is easily drowned out by the loud commotion of the bustling metropolis. Although not the capital, the city is still significant - more than a few million UBHers call the place home - and is often the Kaiser's preferred city for dealing with the day-to-day minutia of running the nation. He'd met with the Chancellor of Brandenburg here earlier. What a... Difficult fellow, he muses. The two had discussed briefly the situation developing in the Middle East and East Africa. Seems the Tristu were getting restless again. No matter though. We'll talk with Zomboda about it, he notes to himself, before setting down his quill pen and moving to leave his office.

Once out in the streets, he makes his way to to the Altamira International Air-port. There is no rush, and so his entourage leisurely makes its way through the winding roads down to where they need to be. He waves and nods to the people as they pass by: men and women in a variety of dress - tricornes and stockings, wide-skirted dresses and an occasional wig - and generally takes the time to ponder more on the day's events. Ageos had invited the nations of the world to a summit, and the 2050 World Expo had been announced. Both chancellors will likely have some words, he continues to himself. The vehicle comes to a halt.

UBH 5th Fleet "Siege of Hansa" has been gathered as part of the welcoming ceremony for Francis Sterling, the President of Treskelion Federation: rows of airships docked handsomely in great lines, some ten total, their standards and flags fluttering the wind, with well-polished artillery pieces standing at attention upon their decks. Already on the ground, men in gray scurry about, followed by others atop horses and still even more carrying great banners. As the Kaiser arrives - himself riding his own mount - it is only a matter of time before their guests land.

European Central Broadcasting Corporation- ECBC News
"Breaking news this morning!" A anchorman said, he had glasses and crisp black hair. It was ruffled in the front to give it a messy appearance, and short in the back. He stood on a large glass platform with a CGI rotating disk beneath him. Several display monitors hung from the ceiling behind him. With a large curved tv display behind him. The walls resembled crystal, and a fireplace and luxurious couches sat in the corner to interview guests. A large fake window depicting the skyline of Treviso was prominently displayed in the background.

The caption below the screen said, "Breaking News! Tritsu forces mobilize near Eritrea and Djibouti. No official word from Treviso leaders yet."

"Earlier satellites and sources confirmed the mobilization of Tritsu forces to the African regions of Eritrea and Djibouti. Moments ago the Tristu government officially announced intentions to annex the region. No official reaction from the government has been made-"

He paused for a moment, his hand going to his ear piece for a second.

"Nevermind. This just in, the President has announced an immediate press conference with Sec. of Defense Martino from the Presidential Palace!"

"Sources say he will be discussing the proceeding events in Africa." While this is said, the anchorman waltzes over to a hologram projection, which depicts the Eritrea and Djibouti regions. Arrows and military symbols depict current estimated Tristu forces highlighted in green.

"Tristu forces are deploying into the region now. I have a special guests with me from the department of defense with me now."

The screen splits in half revealing a white man with tie and suit on with a beach back drop behind him.

"Welcome Mr.Ferraro, what is your take on the situation?"

"Well, it is clear their purpose is to purge the pirates from the region. Now, whether if this is a blatant power grab we have yet to find out. We do know they are well equipped, and a formidable opponent. Treviso-Tristu relations have always been fragile..."

"Do you think this could lead to war?" The anchor man says interrupting.

"Uhm...no. Could this explode into a situation where full blown war happens? Maybe. But that is unlikely." Ferraro says.

"How do you think the Presidents Palace will really react?"

"Im sure they have protocols for this situation. What we could possibly see is Treviso advisors sent in to oversee the situation to make sure the situation doesnt devolve into a human rights violation. One of Trevisos corner stone foreign policies is the autonomy of several African nations."

"Like Mali and Nigeria?"

"Yes, we have military alliance agreements with them, guaranteeing their independence and sovereignty. Should Tristu move into these nations there would be severe consequences."

"Can you name them out for us?"

"The major ones are Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, and Northern, as well as Southern Sudan."

"Do you think the possibility of a Treviso military intervention to observe the situation could be called in?"

"Perhaps."

"Sorry to cut you short, but we have to go to our press conference happening now." The anchor man said.

The screen cuts out to a press conference taking place in the Presidential Palace. Secretary of Defense Martino is standing on top of a silver lined, black podium. Red and white curtains hang behind him with the Treviso national seal.

"The Palace's official response to Tristu and the emerging conflict in Eritrea and Djibouti is a condemnation. Actions like these should be orchestrated by the international body, not by single men and their emperors. We request Tristu negotiate with several powers for a joint effort where the end result is a free, and independant Eritrea and Djibouti under a democratic government. Free from the strings of Babylon and piracy. Otherwise, this is simply releasing the control of a free people from one corrupt power to another.

We request the Tristu pull back, or face consequences of an illegal intervention. We believe their intentions are not to simply rid the area of piracy, but liquidate it into their power.Although no direct military intervention is proposed as of yet into the region, we have been on the line with Sudan with reassuring their government is safe and protected. The Sudanese forces have been mobilizing in fear of a possible spill over of the conflict.

We have boots on the ground in Libya, who have been brought up to date on the situation and are awaiting farther orders. That is all I have to say for now."

The press conference cuts out, and Martino walks off the podium. The screen cuts back to the news room. "Well there you have it folks. We will provide more information after this short break.

"Intensify your body with new reverse aging cream ladies! Apply to breasts for adequate..."

The doors open and the escort gets out, holding his hand out for Mrs.Sparrowhawk. The morning sun shines its rays down, the escort squinting after leaving the dim lit cabin of the limo. He leads her up a large set of quartz stairs into a grand lobby where a receptionist in a large aluminium oval desk greets them. Several other receptionist in similar desk type away on holographic keyboards and display moniters. The lobby was a large open hall with balconies of several hundred floors leading up overlooking. Three metallic pieces in the shape of italy when properly aligned slowly spun.

"Mrs.Sparrowhawk is here." The escort said.

The receptionist simply nodded, and a group of men in suits came out and greeted the two.

"Follow us M'am." One man in a suit said.

The escort and Sparrowhawk were lead to a glass elevator. The elevator quickly whizzed upward to the top of the lobby before entering the ceiling to the lobby and excelled up even farther to the top floor. The elevator let go a chime as it reached the floor.

"While we were on our way here Mrs.Sparrowhawk, our sources have confirmed a Tristu mobilization in eastern Africa. We'll debrief you on the situation and have our talk as well."

Lake Sakio, Aephus Islands [Japan], Vikeria

The Executor, Taris Lyster, was eating breakfast with his gorgeous wife, Livia Lyster, at his luxurious Villa resting on the opposite side to the beautiful Mount Fuji as the sun rose to the east. The fine dining consisted of a bowl of hot, freshly boiled rice, miso soup, nori, pickled vegetables, a grilled salmon dish, and a tamagoyaki. To down it all was a glass of fresh orange juice. No pulp of course. Taris couldn't stand pulp. He believed drinks shouldn't have texture.

As he finished his plate, he stood and walked to the sink with his dishes, placing them neatly in the dishwasher after he made sure heavy debris were gone. He walked over to his wife who was just finished, kissing her on her cheek, and performed the same task with her dishes as well. Taris was a 38-year-old gentleman, of course. He didn't need catering services of butlers to assist him. He was a DIY'er, and a fair leader because of it. The fine meal was, of course, prepared by a fine chef, but one wasn't hired. His wife was an owner of a Five-Star dining experience on the other side of Mount Fuji, and also owned several other exquisite restaurants in other major cities across the islands. So whenever a foreign news reporter likes to comment on how much money the taxpayers spent on his expensive lifestyle, he simply replies none, because his wife worked hard to earn her living and she doesn't mind sharing it with him. He himself only makes roughly [$120,000] a year, believing he doesn't need a large paycheck, but some others in his county do.

As he finished, he dried his hands and turned to his wife, who was cleaning off the table. He hadn't thought about the day before until just then, where he met with Ageos leaders to renew the annual Trade Pact between them. It was also a very important year. For the first time, export and import rates would drop exponentially because of a new High-Speed Industrial Ten-Lane Rail System is finishing on it's final touches. It would end at Carthaan City, a Multi-National City, first of it's kind in the world, that was built on two different national borders. The rail would connect to the rail systems Ageos had made on their half of the city, and would increase trade efficiency exponentially.

He remembers that he also was invited to the International Trade Summit. It would be an important and vital summit to ensure Vikeria would be considered as a major exporter of at least Electronics, including consumer and biomedical, and Automotives. Though Vikeria would usually surrogate trade through Ageos because it was be cheapest to let them distribute it across Asia and subsequently Europe, Taris was anticipating that he could focus on ensuring his nation's products could be exported to Western powers who were across an ocean to his east.

"I have to catch a plane, honey. You sure you want to stay here? Ageos is settling into winter. It's beautiful there this time of year." He asked.

Livia smiled back, "I'm sure, darling. I need to stay here. I have to go to Parthia tomorrow anyways for a meeting on environmental impact." She approached him and wrapped her arms around him. "But I shall see you in four days, right?"

"Of course." He wrapped his arms around her, and kissed her forehead. "Now, I must get ready." He let go and headed for his bedroom upstairs.

"Okay, love. Be safe. Let me know when your plane lands!"

"I will! I love you!"

"Love you too!"

Taris headed upstairs, and slid into his wardrobe where a selection of tailored suits and gold accessories gave him a wonderful sense of style. Dawning a simple cream white suit with a sky blue dress shirt, one button undone at the top and a Vikerian Flag pinned on his right jacket flap, brown loafers, and a gold watch, he combed his black hair off to the side in a proper fashion and put on a pair of black tinted aviators.

Satisfied with how he was going to present himself, he walked downstairs and to his garage through a hall. Opening the door, lights clicked on in order from front to back of the garage, revealing about twelve separate vehicles. If there was one thing he appreciated more than anything else in the world, it was mechanical monsters of machines that his country built. Elegant yet savage, Toybaru, Nizda, and Honbishi where some of the most remarkable car creators ever to produce vehicles.

Today he approached his Nizda All-wheel drive GTZ SPEC X. A powerful Vikerian work of art, it possessed a 3.6L Twin Turbocharged V6 producing 485HP and 434Ft lbs of Torque. With the click of his remote entry, the vehicle unlocked, the driver side door open, and the engine roared to life. He stepped inside and closed the door. The garage door slowly opened revealing a large open driveway with a gate at the end, and numerous amounts of guards posted and patrolling.

"Headed for Yamanashi Airport, sir?" a voice over his radio asked.

"Yep."

"We've got a clear path for you laid out sir. Just follow the NAV."

"Sounds good, thank you Commander. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm late." Taris shifted the monster into first gear and barked the tires out of the garage. The engine roared to the redline of 8000 RPM's before he kicked it to second, roaring to 60MPH in just a couple of seconds. He flew passed the now open gate and a mile later onto the main road, headed north west for Yamanashi.

Treviso has accepted the offer, and has confirmed attendance.

Florence
The Convention Relating to International Exhibitions has accepted all submissions and request for all participants for the 2050 World Expo in Florence.

Outside Budapest
"Yes, we do." A rather serious look was now plastered on the mans face. He pauses for a moment as a butler drops breakfast off on the table to the two. Fresh eggs, pancakes, bacon, and fruits are fancily arranged on a plate before them.

"Bring him in please." THe man said, a mouthful of syrup and pancake in his mouth. The door opened revealing the Sec of Energy Digarrlio.

"Dim the windows please, and shut all doors." The man said. The smart house responded by sealing all doors in the room and the windows dimmed to pitch black. Leaving the only light coming from the fireplace. Now glimmering off the mens faces.

"Project Minerva has been finalized by the officials in Treviso. IF we achieve this we will mark a turning point for our nations."

A large 3d holograph display was brought up, revealing a large ring that stretched for miles with several power stations attached.

"This project will take some time, and great resources. But the outcome of it will change Europe forever. Have you been in contact with your leaders? Are they on board with the project? Our contractors have agreed to support and flip a portion of the bill as long as they get repaid in some form or another afterwards."

Warsaw
Vice President Serena walked up to the restaurant in casual attire. Security was light and inconspicuous, and she carried a hand gun beneath her belt just in case. She saw the Krolestwo ambassador sitting at the table and approached her.

"Thankyou for breakfast. We have much to discuss." While this was said several confidential documents were handed over casually with the Treviso seal on them.

"We both know why were here. Lets get it out, we have agreed to your offer." Serena said nonchalantly, a sly smile came on her face.

The Cemanahuac Dream

Postby Anahuac Peoples » Fri Apr 18, 2014 8:01 pm

Anahuac Confederation News
"Last night Nochtli Mazatl of Tlacopan was Sacrificed by Flaying. Nochtli stood accused of two accounts of Rape, and a Murder charge. His family has officially thanked the Empress for her generosity in allowing their son's honor be restored in death, and given their family a chance to cleanse their shame. Nochtli's sacrifice was in honor of the Confederations coming Canal Project, which has proven to be quiet controversial due to rumors of special agreements with Colonial Nations and-"

With a click the TV turned off. Yolotli Achcauhtli was upset by the news. Her family was conservative, and believed greatly in the Sanctity of Cemanahuac. Cemanahuac, the Americas as the backwards Colonial Powers would call it, meant more to her than two continents and some islands. It was an identity shared between her and all native peoples. A plentiful and beautiful expanse. Her family could trace their lineage back to times when society was still Patrilineal, back when the Confederation was the Empire of Texcoco, during the wars against Spain. Her ancestors fought, and died for the dream of a Cemanahuac free from the Corruption of Foreign Influence. The dream that grew into the Confederation of Anahuac...
At the entrance to her home was a banner, The Banner of the Bleeding Sun, showing a Nahual warrior standing over a battered Spanish Knight, delivering a final blow. It was a symbol, one which filled her very soul with pride. After the defeat of Spain, attentions turned northward and stopping the Edenic states Imperial Agendas. Compared to the war with Spain, the conflicts with the Edenic states were much smaller in scale, but far more numerous.
Now... Now her people were to open a Canal for them, to let them attend a Cemanahuac summit? At least the Lemirus Federation was largely Native. But the Edenites? They lumped all peoples of Central America under the "Nahualian" label. Such ignorance. She hated them, the thought of their ships passing through Anahuac, to her the most beautiful part of Cemanahuac, was revolting! Come time, when construction finally begins, if it ever would, she would march with her family in the Capital City Texcoco under the Banner of the Bleeding Sun, and the voice of opposition would be heard.

Having heard the news of the Tritsu mobilization, Emily arched an eyebrow. She wondered how the Angolan Territory was currently reacting. With the constant border clashes with Zambia, the Angolans were highly concerned of further destabilization both in the Zomboda Commonwealth, and throughout the African continent. She nodded in affirmation and looked down to her tablet, which was now updating with the news streams. She expected an email from the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Prime Minister, or the President at any moment.

"I wonder if the Shahanshah is finally getting tired of all of those pirates sapping away trade revenues in the Red Sea." the Foreign Minister thought out loud.

"Still, this is quite troublesome, given the agreement that we're about to sign."

To President-Elect Anthony Estrada of The United States of Eden

Dear Mr. President-Elect,

May I first present my most sincere congratulations on your victory in the polls. I believe that Eden-America has chosen wisely to believe in your vision, goals, and aspirations. I would be most honored to be a guest at the inauguration, and I will bring my husband Marcus along with our four-member security detail. I look forward to working closely with you in the future days to come in our wondrous Union. I shall see you on January 21st.

Sincerely,

Marianne Navarre
President of The Federation of Lemuris

One Federation Drive, District of Lemuria

President Navarre and the Executive Core had just concluded their meeting and several things were decided. The Speaker and Chancellor would be working together on the renaming of several of the more First Nations populated provinces, with Greenland having the most importance. For months, the Premiere of Greenland Province had been sending messages to the President, Prime Minister, and Minister of the Interior inquiring about the name change referendum, which was due two years ago. The President was elected, partially on her promise to restore Native names to native-majority communities and locations.

While discussing the President's largest foreign policy ambition to date, the news about the Tritsu mobilizations in Africa came through, which provided something of a framework for her team to go on. The Office of the President scheduled a press conference within a few hours to address the current situation and to lay out this new foreign policy aim.

It was also decided that the President would attend the inauguration of USE President Estrada on January 21st, and Prime Minister Atleo would attend the Bayamo Summit in Cuba. The Prime Minister was tasked with pulling the Ministers of Science and Research, and Culture and Heritage together to work with their Edenic counterparts. President Navarre also placed a high emphasis on expediting confirmation of the arms deals with the Serrice Republic and Treskelion Federation, as well as the Trade Deal with Concordia for the High-Capacity Tidal Energy generators. These deals required approval in the Senate, and the Chancellor assured President Navarre that this could all be done.

News Conference, One Federation Drive

The President made her way to the podium with a smile and calmed the room quickly. "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming this evening. Earlier this morning, I received word from Angola that Tritsu troops were mobilizing across the Arabian Peninsula and throughout Egypt to prepare for a military strike into the heart of Eritrea and Djibouti. The intention to annex the two territories has been eluded to, and understandably, this has many of our African citizens, friends, and allies concerned. As I make this announcement, the Foreign Ministry has requested that our Ambassador to Tritsu request a formal diplomatic query into the events. Please understand that this will take some time, as there is not presently a streamlined means of diplomatic communication...

Which leads me to my next announcement. In the month of September of this year, The Federation of Lemuris would like to invite the nations of the world to come to Seattle, Cascadia to discuss the formation of a Global Forum where we can find ways to improve diplomatic communication, encourage cooperation with each other, and to have a place where open and honest discussion can be had between our nations. It is my most sincere hope to see a representative from every nation in Seattle in September. Thank you all, and have a blessed day.

Libya-Sudan borders
Several columns of tanks, artillery, and soldiers have crossed the Sudan border. Travelling to the southeast region of Sudan along the Eritrea border, and parallel to the Egyptian border in the north. Cooperating with Sudan forces and the government to prevent the situation from spilling into Sudanese territory.

A total of 15,000 personnel have been deployed for limited military exercises near the border of Eritrea and Egypt. Treviso has announced it stands alongside Sudans independence. Together, with Sudan having announced it will not allow any foreign Tristu military to cross its borders a total of 50,000 forces have been called on to mobilize near the Egyptian-Libya border.

Treviso has announced it will not allow the situation to spill over into Sudanese territory. The red line has been drawn to safe guard the nations autonomy in the region from foreign aggression.

Meanwhile, Parliament has gone into session this morning to discuss possible economic penalties should Tristu failed to comply with Trevisos request for an international-led effort. Treviso has also requested permission from Tristu to send observers to the region to passively observe the events to uphold human rights laws.

Department of State
"Yes it is quite disheartening." The escort said as they walked along corridors and hallways along a large skyline and streets far below.

Suddenly the two came to a large wooden door with a rich facade of carving designs. Gold hinges and knobs decked the front. The escort opened it up to a cozy reception room. Painting of historical italian figures and people hung on the walls. WIth other paintings dating back to the renaissance.

"Hello, welcome Mrs.Sparrowhawk, Mrs.Ada is eager to see you. Door on the right," The receptionist said with a nod of her head.

Sparrowhawk was guided by her escort, who opened the door to a meeting room. A large long-gated polished, black granite table. Plush office seats decked the sides, and Ada was seen standing looking out the window with his hands cupped beneath behind him. A pair of Treviso flags on poles stood prominently at the end of the table against the wall.

He turned to Sparrowhawk with a smile. Walking up to her eagerly. Ada was 34, with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. He was quite active in his personal time, giving him a slim fit appearance under his suit.

"Thankyou for coming here," he said, kissing her hand.

"Please, have a seat. I hope jeffery has served you well," he said, looking at Sparrowhooks Hungarian escort.

"Now, lets get down to business. Im sure you well aware of the situation unfolding in Africa. The news has been reporting it all morning."

The Department of the Treasury
The Desk of Secretary-Elect Thomas Haverford

The United States of Eden thanks you for the invitation to partake in this economics summit. I accept the invitation on behalf the Treasury Department and will personally attend. Thank You.

The Territory of the Congo, Eden

Governor Weston sat on his porch, his tan skin was dry with the Congolese Sun beating down on his farmhands as they picked crops from the fields before the ranch. His advisor, Portia, arrived in her designated car, the look on her face was worrisome. Weston has been Governor of the Congo since 2042, his two terms has produced prosperity for the territory, once called Eden's "Slave Basket". The Congo has erupted as most of the most profitable territories in Eden under his tenure, poverty rates have decreased triple fold since he took office and entrance into the Middle Class and the "American" Dream has become the "African" Dream. However, corruption still exists in many parts of the country, with ethnic tensions still existing in the country once divided by a bloody civil war.

"Good day, Portia" says Weston with a slight smile, "Good day, your excellency" says Portia. "What brings you to my ranch?" says Weston looking up at the worried woman. "The Tristsu have mobilized in Eastern Africa, the situation has brought down stocks in the Kinshasa Market as many people worry about Eden's role as Guardian down here in the Congo" said Portia. Weston frowned before saying "Get me President-Elect Estrada on the phone."

Inauguration Day, Americana

President-Elect Estrada awoke from a long chat with Governor Weston, his wife was still asleep. He got up and opened the curtain, the sun was rising over the Capital's skyline, the Washington Monument stood erect over the National Mall. He was amazed that in a matter of hours, he would be the leader of this great country and hundreds of millions would be watching him. He awoke his wife and put on his suit and tie before heading downstairs.

Estrada was briefed on the Tristsu Crisis, the Native American Summit and the Lemurian Summit in Seattle. He had his speech ready and checked, he met with the Chief Justice to go over the oath of office as he watched crowds arrive on the Metra and busses pack Transit Square. He received a gift from his wife as he opened it, it was a red carnation. The flower was established as inauguration tradition after Jason Carter (2020-2028) received the flower from his daughter at the ceremony. The Secret Service established a security perimeter at Suburban Square, one of the 3 main stations where long-distance dart and commuter rails arrived in the Capitol. President Navarre and her husband would arrive at Suburban Square on their coach, it was a short ride from the Lemurian capitol, thousands awaited the arrival of the President, most of them Lemurians living or working in the Capitol waiting for her motorcade to the Capitol. License plates from as far away as California and Florida were seen roaming through the streets of the Capital. All major cable channels were preparing for the inauguration as huge television boards were put up in Times Square (New Eden) and in Downtown Los Angeles, as Edenics gathered to witness history.

Americana, USE

"Madame President, Americana is the next stop." the Secret Service agent said.

Marianne gave a small smile, looking up from her Slate and removing her ear buds. "Perfect. Is Marcus ready?"

"Yes ma'am. Mr. Navarre has packed all of your belongings and is waiting for you in the forward coach."

The President nodded and stood to her feet, picking up the few items she had and making her way to the front where the First Gentleman awaited her. He smiled and gave her a sweet kiss. "How was the read?"

"The Provincial Assembly has approved a name in Greenland." The President said with a somewhat sarcastic, yet cheerful tone.

"Oh?" Marcus asked, "And what would that be?"

"Kalaallisut."

"Kala-whaa?"

The President smiled a bit, "That's what I thought, at first as well. Though, the Inuit tribes demanded their right to their heritage and cultural vestiges, I didn't think they were going to go this overboard."

Marcus stood behind his wife and gently massaged her neck and shoulders. "Just remember, this is for the people."

She nodded, "Kalaallisut it is. I've emailed it to Brian and Alex, but haven't heard back from either one yet."

The First Gentleman nodded and smiled as the high speed train came to a halt. A soft female voice was heard overhead speaking in English and French, indicating where they were getting off the train.

The Secret Service stepped off the train first, followed by the First Gentleman. Once Mr. Navarre stepped onto the platform, the crowd went wild with shouts and screams of excitement. Once the President stepped off the platform, the crowds were even louder. President Navarre was enjoying some of the highest approval ratings of any Lemurian President in history. Daughter of a tribal elder from the Ojibwe Nation, married a wealthy sustainable industrialist, and a politician with a knack for nailing all the details.

She smiled and waved at the cheering crowds. Before being taken to the waiting motorcade, President Navarre handed out 16 white roses, and a four red roses to various Lemurians on the platform. These roses were representative of the provinces and territories of Lemuris, which the white roses representing the Provinces who were granted a bloodless independence, and the red roses indicating provinces or territories that were won in battle or war. This tradition was established during the Trudeau administration in the 2020s.

The President made her way off of the train platform and into her car, from there, she and her husband were escorted to the venue of the event.

Sana'a, Yemen Satrapy

The Satrap of Yemen, Muhammed Bosindawa, was reviewing the troops under his command when the news that Treviso was asking Tritsu to back down. To him it was downright unreasonable for a primary European nation to be trying to mess with anti-piracy actions along the Red Sea. An hour or so later he is told to disregard the warnings from Treviso and have his troops ready to cross later that week.

Gulf of Aden

The task group arrived on site a few dozen miles from Djibouti. A signal was sent to the local government at 11pm local time which began to launch raids on know pirate bases. The Ctesiphon Battleship opened fire on several coastal hideouts for pirate vessels with its rounds smashing ships and destroying weapons caches. The government of Djibouti reports its losses on the night and expected pirate losses. So far the government forces seem to be doing fine wherever they actually are fighting, but in at least 1/3 of the units they have turned their backs on the government and sided with the organizations which pay their salaries. Estimated Pirate strength is somewhere around 15,000 while government units stand around 20,000. No moves have been made in Eritrea yet, but the opening salvo in Djibouti cost the Pirates the majority of their ships.

The next morning comes with the Pirate organizations scrambling to recover their damaged ships while on land Government forces are having better luck than during the confusion of that first night. Key Pirate routes are being shut down, but there are reports of additional troops pouring in from Eritrea where Tritsuvian assets have yet to move in.

Babylon, Kingdom of Tritsu

Shahanshah Xerxes looked over the Trevisonian objections. While to the backwards western nations they seemed fair and reasonable, but to the way things worked in the east it was unthinkable that Treviso would make demands of Tritsu. He drafted a formal response to Treviso's objections.

To: President Sparrowhawk ((OOC: Or insert name of correct politician here))

The actions along the Red Sea coast are a local matter of security. If you have any objections then you are more than welcome to put observers in with my troops when they cross. The notices of annexation which have been served to both Djibouti and Eritrea are conditional on that they both stamp out piracy. Should they fail to do so with minimal assistance from my small naval task force then my troops will take control of the nations, root out the pirate forces and rebuild the nation then establish a new government that will have the strength to keep pirates out of its territory.

I do not take the threat of force lightly. Your troop movements have not gone unnoticed and I would ask you remove your troops from our mutual borders. As the leading nations of this region it is our responsibility to provide security to international trade that passes through our waters. Your troop movements give the pirates hope that you will attack me and thus strengthen the position of the criminals. Please return your troops to their bases and call it a 'scheduled training exercise". Both of our nations will sleep easier and the world will not know the difference.

Signed, Shahanshah Xerxes XIV

With the message sent Xerxes retired to his chambers. It had been a long night observing the actions of his troops and he was in need of some rest. Within his wife Stateira was just waking up and leaving the bedroom. A few doors down a cry from his young son, Darius, could be heard. The royal household was waking up just when he was ready to get some sleep.

Egyptian Satrapy

The massing of foreign troops on the borders of one of the most populous Satrapies in the Kingdom brought great alarm to the local people. Satrap Ali Abdullah requested additional troops to be brought into Egypt and that his Satrapy would pay their salary while those troops were stationed in Egypt. His request was answered by the Satrapies of Jerusalem, Syria, Mosul and Armenia bringing an additional 50,000 troops to reinforce the 100,000 already in Egypt.

Greek Satrapy

Troops in Greece are put on alert as is the Western Fleet. The Mediterranean Squadron and the Euxine Squadron both are ordered to combat positions for war in the Med. Troops from nearby Satrapies of Caria and Phrygia.

Official Response to Tristu
Several top officials, after reviewing the response from Xerxes, have settled the nerves of many with the intentions of Tristu more defined. Treviso observers will be sent into combat zones in the region. These will be guarded by Treviso military squadrons to ensure human rights and the independence of Eritrea and Djibouti are not being violated.

The Italian navy has sent 5 vessels, including three destroyers and two battlecruisers to the region for passive observance and to round up any rogue pirate that manages to escape the Tristus onslaught. For now, border forces in Libya have been recalled, with 2,000 remaining on active border patrol. The divisions deployed to Sudan will remain in the southeastern regions of Sudan along the Eritrea border to keep the situation contained.

No major military mobilizations took place in Albania along Greece. Meanwhile, The Treviso's 1st Mediterranean fleet has been lightly deployed off the coast of Libya and central Italy. Treviso will keep a close eye on the situation. Reminding Tristu that although it supports the purging of piracy in the waters, it stands strongly behind the sanctuary and independance of Eritrea's and Djiboutis federal government. Treviso observers will keep tabs on the situation to ensure this after the operation is over.

Should the situation arise, Treviso has announced heavy financial aid and military support to propping up a new, more centralized government in the new states after the pirates are ousted from the region.

Treviso, Capitol
Parliament has closed the session on economic sanctions for Tristu. The general tone of many top officials is wary of Tristus intentions, for the time being, cooler heads have prevailed. Normal talks and political negotiations pre-scheduled have been reinstated.

St. Petersburg, Tanyer

The report of the rifles rings clear in the morning air. A twenty one gun salute for a fallen soldier, a leader, a monarch. Tsar Nicholas V Romanov had died just a few days earlier, completely unknown to the rest of the world. The Tsarevich, a young 27 year old man, was now to be crowned Tsar of Tanyer, for all its was worth. Members of all parties came together to bury the monarch, as he had been what had held the nation together through wars with Tritsu and famine. He had kept all parties from tearing at eachothers throats and now he was dead; an assassins bullet in his back. All autopsy's showed he had died from cancer of the brain, which he was suffering from for many years but was mostly cured. All members of the funeral; the communists, the nationalists, the liberals, the military, and the bureaucrats all had their ideas on who had called for the trigger to be pulled, but no one said a word for fear of what the new Tsar was capable of. The position of the Tsar had been brought down through constitutional arrangements, but the Tsar's had the power to act a "second" executive should the deem it necessary for the safety of the state. Nicholas had started to go down this road, leading many to think that Stilin had killed him. He had also began talks with the Krolestwo Commonwealth, old subjugated states, and Treviso which had stolen much of its western territories; and even more shockingly the Tritsu he had led them against. The surrender of Georgia to being an end to the conflict had shocked many in the military, and buddyness with the west and east made many uneasy, making many believe Marshal Lafu had the monarch killed. And even then he had begun reforms to the country with helping spearhead legislation against corruption and the slow process of the state Duma, leading others to believe that Serkofski had him assassinated and Serkofski was just Stilin's lapdog. Never the less, much as expected of this new monarch, who left the funeral early and got in his car. At the age of 21 he kicked his habit of smoking, and the young monarch quickly relite and took his first drag in six long years... and it would not be his last he was afraid. Someone had killed his father, no doubt if he took any form of position his father did they would too... exactly what he wanted. He wanted them in the open, so he could hunt them like elk in the wild, then gun them down where they stood. Many in the military were angered at the death of their monarch, and would kill even their CO's if it was in fact their orders that did so.

Suvonk, Tanyer

Marshal Lafu's convoy pulls into the military base. Before him is the largest computer storage space in Tanyer and the largest satellite dish collection; the location of the final stages of ARCHANGEL I. Security was heavy, and the air force base had a constant squadron of birds in the air at all times to capture any unwanted guests. The satellite dishs slowly moved into position, the uplink site at the foot of it glowing green as power surges from it. As Lafu pulls up and exits the vehicle a young lieutenant greats him with an almost electric happiness.

"Marshal, the process is at 99% complete. With your orders I would like to launch Project: ARCHANGEL I into its final stage..."

"Granted. Status report on ARCHANGEL II?"

The young soldier looks happy as he leads the Marshal into the compound. Inside GRU and NKVD members make up a majority of the members. A few Spetsnaz are present, although an attack on the instillation would be near impossible. Only a missile strike could properly hit the location, and it was at the heart of Tanyer territory and in moments it wouldn't make it 50 miles inside the border. The lieutenant taps a few keys on the main keyboard and the system comes alive; lines slashing across the map of Tanyer in a few seconds on the screen. "There, the final touches. ARCHANGEL now covers the entirety of our territory. If a nearby nation fires a missile, we will know and be able to intercept in a matter of minutes. ARCHANGEL II is just beginning its initial stages, as we have yet to gain most of the software needed."

"We must move forward production. For the Soviet." These words put a chill into the spine of the Lieutenant. The Soviets had a dark history in Tanyer, and Lafu did not make it any mistake that he was one. They held strong sway in the Parliament, and were closely bonded to the Nationalists. Word had spread that the Soviets would win a large portion of the votes; a terrifying thought.

"Yes sir... for the Federation and United Kingdoms." The Lieutenant lets out meekly. Lafu seems displeased, and although he could find most of the NKVD as Soviets, he wasn't sure about the GRU membership and he was damn well sure the Spetsnaz were loyalists. "Not here, not now" he thought.

"Continue with your work... Captain." Lafu steps from the room, into his new war room in this backwater. He would be here awhile... a needed to bring in some more support.
