The Government of Bratislav is mulling a change in the national flag and coat of arms. This comes as members of the ruling party would like to have a more historical coat of arms that honors the country's monarchic past. More updates regarding this are to come.

The National Assembly in Corenea recently passed another tax cut, dropping the income tax rate from 12% to 9%. President Sam Hayes supported this, stating "Coreneans should have most of their wealth in their pocket as they knew how to spend money better than the government." The bill was met with positive response from the general public as they see it as solving money responsibly.

Premier Brankovic has stated last Saturday plans to withdraw the nearly 300,000 troops deployed in the United Communist Republic of Marsisian. The troops, who are currently battling New Korongo forces dug in deep at the city of Garand are slowly gaining momentum again against them. A peace treaty proposition is also said to be sent to all combatants fighting against Cydonia to guarantee a safe withdraw of the forces in Marsisian. He also says there is growing concern with the unrest in Aronia and that the situation is becoming more of an international issue.

The Aronian President has declared further military cooperation with Bratislav after President Albanov's state visit. With Aronia's economy in shatters, opposition members in the small country are preparing for an unprecedented amount of protests. The demand is the President's resignation and snap elections. Things turned a violent turn as some protesters attempted to enter the Bratislavian Embassy in Aronia. Several protesters were arrested as a result by police.

KANATISTAN NEWS UPDATE

After a second conflict with foreign powers, Hopefully the last, Kanatistan President Muhammad Abdul has decided to cut Military and Law funding in favor of Education, Healthcare, and Culture. He has set up the remaining of the almost shattered military to work rebuilding public buildings and roads. Time will have to tell what will happen next, though President Abdul plans on resigning and the People's Assembly plans on abolishing the Executive Cabinet when he does.

The Foreign Minister, Herman Magareshi, has left Bratislav for an official visit of Transoxthraxia, where tensions are rising between social conservatives and progressives. Invasion of one of Cydonia's allies, the United Remnants of America, by the Greater Korean Empire has been brought to the attention of the government. Premier Brankovic said that a live speech will be given tomorrow to respond to this attack on a Cydonian ally. Rumors have spread that the troops withdrawing from Marsisian will be redeployed to defend the URA instead of going back to Cydonia. Until a clear decision has been made the withdraw has been postponed.

President Albanov has arrived at Corenea for a wide reaching summit. Some of the issues to be discussed with the Corenean Allies include Aronia, Naval Agreement, and the IFA. Experts hold this summit as a sign of the blossoming alliance between the two states.

After a successful vote in parliament, the new state symbols of Bratislav were officially accepted. The reason for the change was a desire to move away from the old communist design that Bratislav had during its Communist Years. The seven stars represent the six historic regions of Bratislav, the yellow represents the wealth of Bratislav and its people, and the blue represents the Bratislavian sky that unites all. The coat of arms incorporates the Bratislavian Crown as a homage to the Bratislavian Monarchy that existed for many centuries.

Federal Armed Defense Forces along with members of the Federal Air Force have kicked off in Eastern Slavaka. It makes the first time since the wide spread adoption of the AK-103 and other weapons and this exercise has been called a glorified training run for soldier so they may get to know the knew weapons. The exercises incorporate 3 divisions of both the Army and Air Force equaling just under40,000 soldiers in all.

President Abdul has been the only president and may just be the last... He has resigned today from office and the People's Assembly is voting on keeping the position available and it's cabinet. The nation is in a state of confusion: What will happen now? Abdul has served 5 terms of 4 years (he has gone through two of this term).

Due to many protests and resolutions passed by the National Assembly, Lord President John Banner may be forced out of office. Banner is doing everything in his power to secure his position as Lord President, but military factions have branched from the political parties to force him out of office. However, the factions have started to turn on each other. Many are protesting to start what looks like "the dawn of another civil war."

The opposition opposes the adoption of the new flag as it reflects the flag of Bratislavian ultra-nationalists. The flag is very similar to that of an ultra-nationalist group that killed many communists and socialists during the first years of independence. Some of the left-leaning opposition members of parliament say that the flag is a direct affront to them. The Government claims that it has nothing to do with the ultra-nationalists and represents a new, image for the Bratislavian nation.

After strong opposition from civil activists and the opposition, the decision on changing the state flag was reverted and the second alternative was chosen. While similar to the previous flag, this one looks less similar than the ultra-nationalist flag.

Premier Brankovic has gone to Manujec to award medals to soldiers that fought in Masalia and Marsisian. There were 2,130 soldiers being awarded medals. 76 were Hero of Cydonia medals, the highest ranking medal in Cydonia. All troops in Marsisian have left and returned to Cydonia.

Four protestors were shot and killed by military police in the Crystal Square of Medietan. Following the incident, martial law has been declared by Lord President John Banner in all districts. Borders have also been effectively closed by military police, preventing citizens from evacuating the country.

A senior government official in the ruling, Freedom Party, has heavily criticized Cydonia's awarding of medals to soldiers in the Masalian War. He has denounced the Cydonian Armed Personnel that were involved in the war as war criminals not heroes as they tried, but failed, to tear Bratislav apart. He further commended the IFA and its role to stop STO aggression.

Yesterday, the capital of Wedel became the site of the new GFL(Guerro Football League) team. The team name will be called the Erange Geckers, named after Wedels state animal. After 5 years, residents of Erange will finally have the football team they were promised. The Geckers first game will be against the Plesde Barons.

Among political unrest in the nation, a highly controversial novel titled "The Kuwabarkan Hatred" by Paris Gravvele hit the shelves today and has already sold over 10,000 copies. This political commentary follows the story of a fictional Kuwabarkan soldier in the all too real Masalian war. The book explains the origin and explanation of xenophobia and Kuwabarkas "lust for war".

Soldiers are ordered to the Zheavjoa Regional Airport after two vans filled with Armed Men stormed the Airport with small arms mostly PPS Submachine Guns, TT-33 pistols, and a small number of OTs-02 Kiparis Submachine guns. The attacks identities are unknown but many suspect they belong to the New House of Vasiliev which is an armed group wishing to reinstate the monarchy that peacefully dissolved in the 1920's. A total of 20 SNDA soldiers have arrived to support 60 or so members of the Interior Ministries Special Response Unite (IMSTU) which have been involved in negotiations with the men for 12 hours.

Following the release of the book, The Kuwabarkian Hatred, it has started to be sold in Cydonian stores. The book is very popular with veterans of the Masalian War who were able to relate to the character in the book who is fighting in Masalia.

Fighting in Greater Simbia got worse today, as government forces, numbering 2800, routed 8000 Simbian rebels outside Wasulu, the capital of Southern Territory. The government reported 56 dead and 199 wounded against 247 rebel dead, 1211 wounded, and 314 captured. Lolloh, which contributed 100 soldiers to the battle, lost 1 dead and 7 wounded. The battle, taking control of much of Southern Territory, is a win for the former Lollohian colony, which has been struggling in a large civil war against ethnic Simbian and Dutciberger separatists. Lolloh has roughly 60,000 soldiers deployed in Greater Simbia.

Following a clash between the Banner and Poleanis factions in the District of Syyps, roughly 800 have been reported dead. Despite constant fighting between both sides, Lord President John Banner has claimed that this isn't a war, merely a revolt, and that citizens are not to worry.
