New Faces: Princess Zelda in Valcoura (Closed)

Postby Valcouria » Sun Jan 12, 2014 5:19 pm

It was cold, far too cold to wait outside. Inside Bainbridge International Airport's terminal, Emperor Constantine stood surrounded by a group of diplomats and his own Guards, watching in silence for a sign of an approaching aircraft. Patrons of the airport had crowded around in interest at seeing the Emperor himself, but most were too busy bustling about to catch their flight. The Emperor glanced around every now and then, as if expecting to see someone appear, before his gaze would return to the window, watching and waiting. He shifted slightly, resting his hand on the hilt of his sword as he waited while the diplomats conversed quietly to each other.

A sudden buzzing noise makes the Emperor turn just as Empress Lacewing kisses him. "Hi, Conner. Am I late?" The Changeling Queen, currently in the form of a human takes her position next to him. "Vicky wanted to say hi." She lifts their child up who coos and reaches for her father as her mother's entourage joins up with the Imperial Couple.

The Emperor smiled slightly at seeing the Empress and the Princess, gently putting his arm around the former.
"Of course you're not late," he replied softly. "I'm glad you decided to bring her along as well." He watched as Princess Victoria reached up for him, cooing and babbling unintelligibly, before his gaze traveled back out the window to watch for incoming aircraft.

The jet slowly descended from the sky, the Hyrule seal painted on its tail, the landing gear extended and touched to the ground with a screech, the aircraft slowed and turned into a docking bay connected to the terminal.

One of the docking tunnels suddenly spewed out several guards, they were dressed in the dark uniforms of the Hyrulian Guard, they cleared a path to the Emperor and his family spreading in to lines on either side, standing at attention as Princess Zelda stepped out.

The Princess was petite in stature, being rather short, her hair was a shining golden colour and it rained down her back in golden sheets, she was dressed in a detaile gown of purple and gold, the Hyrule seal embroidered on its front, her head was wrapped in a silver headeress imbedded with rubies and sapphires. Princess Zelda walked up to Emperor Constantine and Empress Lacewing and offered a small smile and a short bow

"An honour to meet you both, Emperor Constantine and you Empress Lacewing'

The Emperor advanced first, bowing slightly to the princess and extending his hand.
"The honor and pleasure is Ours, Your Highness," he replied, taking her hand and kissing it in a show of respect. He retreated slightly to allow the Empress to interact with the princess, replacing his arm around her as he did.

"We welcome you to Valcouria. Would you like to see Bainsbridge?" Lacewing bows as well, Victoria stares at the new person, wondering if they were another friend of her parents.

Zelda kept her smile on and shifted her gaze to the changeling

"I am glad to be welcomed, and It would be a pleasure to see your capital"

The Emperor gave a slight nod before gesturing toward the rest of the airport; his Guards, as well as the innumerable diplomats, slowly began filing out in that direction, still surrounding the Imperial Family as well as the new visitor.
"We will tour the city properly in the morning, Your Highness," he said bluntly. "The scenery will be better during the daytime." He and the Empress locked arms as they walked along, while Princess Zelda walked next to the Emperor.

"So Princess, tell us about your country. What's Hyrulia like?" Lacewing asks as she rests her head on her husband's shoulder.

Zelda gestured for her own guards to follow, they formed up behind the royals in a triangle formation behind them, the Princess turned her attention to the Emperor and replied

"Understandable" she said "It gives us more time to discuss things, anyway" Zelda then turned her attention to Lacewing

"Much warmer than here I must say, the climate back home is almost tropical, minus the storms of course, there is much lush forests that hide all sorts of creatures" the royal crowd slowly walked through the terminal.

The Emperor gave a curt not in agreement to the Princess before responding.
"Just as well, there are a multitude of details to be discussed," he said matter-of-factly as the group made their way to the main entrance of the terminal.

Zelda nodded at the Emperors words "Indeed, I cannot wait to get started" the Princess smiled a bit when the group exited the terminal and stepped onto the steps outside.

A cold blast of air greeted the entire group; the Emperor instinctively pulled the Empress and the young princess closer to him as they made their way to the waiting convoy of vehicles that would take them back to the capital.
"This is one of the colder winters in Valcourian history," he told Princess Zelda as they walked along towards the waiting cars.

"I can tell" the Princess responded with a slight shiver, seeing her discomfort, one of her guards stepped forward and placed a dark cloak over her shoulders, Zelda thanked the man and walked up to the cars with the Emperor and Empress.

One of the Emperor's Guard opened the door to the Emperor's limousine, letting the four royals enter one by one; the Emperor gestured for Princess Zelda to enter first before he helped the Empress and their daughter inside, climbing in himself before the door was closed behind him. He then removed his hat that he had put on as they had exited the terminal.
"I have heard that temperatures tomorrow will be much fairer," he continued, glancing outside as the diplomats filed out and entered the other cars in the procession.

"I do hope so" the Princess replied "You will have to forgive me, I am unused to the cold" the Princesses guards entered separate limousines and they were on their way.

"I'm not use to it either, Princess. Usually changelings would be holed up their hives but I couldn't bear to part from you, Conner." Lacewing smiles at the Emperor and scoots closer while Victoria squirms in her arms.

"It is no trouble, Your Highness," the Emperor replied, glancing outside as the limousine and its escort began moving. He smirked slightly as he held the Empress and their infant daughter close. "Tomorrow should be more mild in comparison; perfect for seeing the city."

"Good, good" the Princess looked out of the window at the swirling snow, still keeping her calming smile on.

The Emperor gave a nod to the Princess's statement before glancing back at the Empress and their infant daughter; Princess Victoria yelped slightly and reached out for him, and he gently took the child from the Empress and held her for a moment, the thin smile on his lips growing more prominent.
"I am sure Your Highness has no doubt heard about Her Highness?" he asked, letting the infant catch sight of Princess Zelda, the former's bright red eyes going wide in interest as the convoy left the airport grounds.

Zelda's smile grew more genuine at the sight if the infant, she reached a figure to the child who grabbed it and seemed to be studying the finger before letting go and cooing "I have in fact" the Princess replied.

"It seems she likes you." Lacewing peers around Constantine to look at the two princesses interacting.

"Her Highness is only two months old," the Emperor replied, his miniscule smile growing still larger at the sight of the infant princess's happiness. "I do hope you wont mind if she comes along during your visit, Your Highness," he added, gently rocking Victoria back and forth as she cooed.

Zelda smiled at the couple and their child, the picturesque example of a near-perfect family

"She seems healthy" the Princess commented to the Emperor.

"She is extremely healthy, I made sure of that." Lacewing proudly announces. "I had all of nine months to make our first child perfect and I think I did an exemplary job, if I do say so myself."
