Queen Sarah II No Longer Claims to be a Goddess

Queen Sarah II comes out and says "I, an all monarchs before me, were not Gods or Goddess. We are normal people like you, and we have deceived you into believing this falseness." Is this the end of the monarchy as we know it? Well, not really. Sarah, along with all other monarchs, has respected the people and fulfilled their wants and needs. This has resulted in a strong support of the monarchy over a full democracy, which most Aurelians find to be "unstable and unreliable".

Sarah has dissolved the Cult of the Aurelians, the former state religion of Aurelio, and has given the freedom of religion to the citizens. "I find that there is beauty in discovering new religions and belief-systems." has stated the Queen, who is very open-minded on issues such as religion.

Christianity has not taken off in Aurelio, as we do not really have that many immigrants. 96% of the population are native Aurelians, and as such Christianity has never played in a role in our culture and society. Following the dissolution of the Cult of the Aurelians, most of the population turned to Atheism.
