Welcome to Esquarium! We are the proud home of one hundred and twenty three nations, some of which have strong sporting backgrounds.

Some regions have a lot of warfare, some regions are culturally advanced, while others are good at whatever they excel at. Esquarium is somewhat a mixture, with lots of tensions between nations and ethnic,political and cultural diversity, with some improvements in sports.
An initiative has been taken by several eager and growing nations to post things with their sports leagues and pan-regional sports leagues. All information for these sports can be found in this post(soon). Rosters, RPing, and results will also be posted in this thread.

The un-scorinated league results will be accepted, though scorination done by scorinators(with full results done by that) is encouraged. Xkoranate User Guide can certainly help you if you are interested in scorinating them.

Also, don't forget to RP league results and regional league results. RP=more likely to do better.

Esquarian League

Soon, the Esquarian League will be contested amongst the top clubs from around the region for association football("real football").
The format will be as followed:

-For the first competition, each country that wants to, may enter four teams. Again, depending on numbers, the teams will be sorted into either groups/qualification draws. The format will be determined later, based on the number of participating teams.

-After the first competition, rankings for both the clubs, and the countries, will be established, and the top countries will be able to enter more clubs in the future competition.

-Also, the Esquarian League is looking for a sponsor. Post below if you're interested.

-The cutoff for the first Esquarian league is in two weeks, so I have time to scorinate it. The scorination will be divided into 2 days, with the preliminary stage in the Day one and knockout rounds in Day two.

IFA Announces Inglan National League

The Inglan Football Association will launch its first incarnation of the Inglan National League. The league will comprise initially of twelve teams, which at the end of the season will be reduced to eight. The top two of the league will qualify for the Fipino Liga Isa and the next two will qualify for the Fipino Liga Dalawa, which in the subsequent seasons, the INL will be the feeder division for the Inglan Clubs in the Fipino Federation. The top four clubs this season will also be in consideration for the Esquarian League.

The Football Association of Konson (FaoK), founded in 1989, has created in 1992 and is responsible for the management of the professional football leagues in Konson – the first division, called Konsi Super League (KSL) and the second division, Konsi League 2 (KL2).

The Konsi Super League is the country's highest and most prestigious level of football competition with 14 teams partecipating, playing against each other twice in a season that generally begins in mid-september and ends at the end of April. The winner is the team with highest points at the end of the season (there are no play-offs or post-season); if more teams have the same points, their position is determinated first by the results of the direct matches, then (in order) by scored goals, goal difference and number of victories. Two teams are relegated to Konsi League 2 every season: the team in the last position at the end of the season and the loser of a play-off (played in two matches) between the second last and the third last – the play-off is not played and there's the direct relegation of the second last, if the third last team has at least 8 points more than the second last.

The four teams qualified for Esquarian League for the season 2013-2014 are (following the order of their position in last season):

Honours: 16 Konsi Super League titles; 9 Konsi Cup titles; no international and continental titles.
Coach: Karl Sprenzler (58), hired last summer for raising the continental ambitions of the club – strong polemics followed the substitution of the almost legendary previous Oxes coach. With a long carrier and a great international experience, Sprenzler is especially famous for his methods of physical training that usually give to his teams the athletic brilliancy necessary for the fast, offensive game he creates through a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Best player: Pak Sin-Jing (forward, 26) with 83 appearances and 62 goals for the national team, holds both these records and is descripted by many football supporters and journalists, despite his young age, as the best Konsi footballer of all the times. With his great pace and his technical abilities, he's a complete forward that can easily adapt to all the four offensive roles in the team formation.

Curiosity: by far the absolute star of Konsi football (16 national titles won in 21 overall editions), the Oxes are often considered the team of the “Institutions”, counting among his supporters many exponents of the Royal family (and the actual King as well) and its owner being the biggest Konsi corporation.

Coach: Huen Tse-Lee (36), one of the youngest coaches in KSL, is famous for his great tactical ability, for the unpredictability of his teams, and for the reputation of “intellectual” he has built for himself. His favourite formation is 4-3-3, placing a great emphasis on the work of the external forwards and the equilibrium built by the movements of the three midfielders.
Best player: Kenji Huan (defensive midfielder, 28), an important player also for the Konsi national team, is especially famous for his work rate, his stamina and determination. He usually plays low, more close to the defensive line, using his tactical wisdom to influence the movements of the other midfielders, and his physical strength to regain often the possession of the ball.

Curiosity: N-Pulse won the first edition of NSL but since then has been unable to win the title again; three years ago the team was bought by a tycoon of this portual city, willing to improve again the profile of the club, thanks to steady investments and the added value of the promising coach Tse-Lee.

Kojin Greentown
Home colours: emerald green and light green

Stadium: Rock Arena (capacity 15200)
Honours: 0 Konsi Super League titles; 1 Konsi Cup
Coach: Wong Peng (67), a veteran Konsi coach, prefers to use the 4-1-3-2 formation and concentrate on the defensive phase, making it particularly difficult for the opponent team to score a goal against his team (in the last season, Greentown had the record of clean sheets).
Best player: Darko Berenic (centre-back, 27) won the “best foreign player” award last season (his first season in Konson) and is the probably the player in Konson that is most central and essantial for his team. Invincible in the aerial play and elegant in anticipating the movements of the opponent forwards, he is able at the same time to lead the defensive strategies of Greentown and score a considerable amount of goals by headers on free-kicks and corner-kicks.

Curiosity: Greentown has reached a relevant position in Konsi football only in the last 3-4 years; its popularity is booming, especially because Konsi football supporters have a great appreciation for organized, balanced and defensively superb strategies.

New Soejon United (NSU)
Home colour: dark red and yellow

Stadium: Soejon Municipal Stadium (capacity 31400)
Honours: 2 Konsi Super League title; 2 Konsi Cup titles
Coach: Steve Barton (48) coming from the Anglosaxon football tradition uses the classical 4-4-2 and in his strategies the wingers have a key role in dribbling their opponents and widening the offensive line, making frequent assists for the central forwards.
Best player: Peter Kennan (forward, 31) transferred to Konson three seasons ago, trying to revitalize a carrier that was staggering in the second division of his native country. Mission accomplished, since with 52 goals scored in KSL he's currently the best foreign scorer of the history of the league. With his essential, unelegant but efficient style, Kennan has proved to be the perfect finisher for NSU strategy.

Curiosity: NSU and the Oxes are the exception to the rule of strong and heated city rivalry in football. While being the most famous teams of Konsi capital, their supporters clubs and their managements have positive, relaxed relationships. Both teams, however, have a strong rivalry towards the third most famous team of the capital, Spartak Soejon.

Major Jr.Hockey in Quebec: Royal Quebec Hockey League Regular Season 2014-2015

In Royal Kingdom of Quebec and its Esquarian Dominions, the highest level of junior hockey is major junior, and is governed by the Royal Quebec Hockey League(RQHL), which itself has four constituent leagues: the Western Hockey League, the Central Hockey League, the Maritime Hockey League and the Southern Esquarian Mestaruus-Liiga. The rules are governed by the Hockey Quebec and Hockey Southern Esquarium(HSE),the National Administrations of hockey in all levels, while local hockey associations administer players and leagues for their region. Many provinces and states organize regional and provincial championship tournaments, and the highest age groups in Quebec and its dominions also participate in national championships.

Once upon a time, which isn't really long ago, Barastuja had a football league. With colorful teams like Cáceres and Gaule, they celebrated a life at another place, another life. However, something happened. And out of a sudden, they were totally different. Their skin changed, their location changed, their weather changed. They were suddenly just a mere little country with cold weather and a bunch of harbors.

And like everything else, they had to revive their old football league. Gone were the colorful teams, names like Cáceres and Atlético Sulista. Up were teams that prefered to represent their city more than anything else. Up were the four new greats: Paulo Agosto, Bahiense, Fundoais and Revelação. Names like Vitóriade Bexiga, Benfica de Patos and Brás popped up and the Campeonato Barastujano resumed play. A New Hope, perhaps?
