What We Do
SECNET intends to offer a quality, low-cost alternative to traditional law enforcement. SECNET will fulfill all the roles of a traditional law enforcement agency, at a substantially lower cost.
Our History
SECNET was founded by Expansionist War veteran Keita Kawano in 1969. He originally intended for the company to be a small security firm, tasked with security at banks, government offices and other high value properties. Within only a few years, SECNET became renowned for its effectiveness and low costs. Within only ten years, SECNET employed fifty thousand in Sacred Nippon and obtained dozens of contracts from government and financial institutions.
SECNET's rapid expansionism reached new heights in 1984, when the Fukushima Police Department staged a months long strike. The city descended into near anarchy, when the city and police union failed to strike a compromise. After failing to reach a deal with the union, the city government turned to SECNET for a solution. In a groundbreaking deal, the law enforcement of the city was completely turned over to SECNET. Fukushima would be the first city in Sacred Nippon to have a privatized police department.
Following the privatization of Fukushima's law enforcement, privatized law enforcement became increasingly popular throughout the country. More cities began to realize the many benefits of a privatized police force. By 2000, over 70% of Nipponese cities had a private police force. The sudden boom in privatized law enforcement caused the creation of multiple mega corps, with SECNET being the most powerful and profitable.
In 2010, SECNET merged with Kriegler-Yamamoto, the largest of SECNET's rivals. In addition to being one of the largest corporate mergers in Nipponese history, the merger gave SECNET control of over 90% of the private law enforcement in Sacred Nippon.
The future looks bright for SECNET. With hundreds of thousands of satisfied employees in Sacred Nippon, we look eagerly to the future. One of our many goals is to expand overseas.
