Ron Paul, did you have sex with Rick Perry?

Postby Paulmania » Mon Aug 20, 2012 9:26 pm

I've seen a lot of people here who say that Ron Paul is so extreme that his own party and the media reject him and that this is the fault of no one but himself. However, I'd like you to watch this video and answer me this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8bPfzIF8Qg

For this who don't want to see a video, Paul is asked by the "journalist" if he has ever had sex with Rick Perry, has been a stripper, a prostitute, or - and this is a direct quote - "a young hottie impressed by an arrogant, entitled governor of Texas". All because some anonymous douche said so, apparently.

What the fuck.

Would they ever ask Romney or even Obama this? The accusations are obvious BS and seem to be humorous. Ron Paul, a young hottie having an affair with Rick Perry? Really? Has there ever been an instance of a major politician being pitched a question like this from the MSM? How is this not evidence of the disrespect dished out to Dr. Paul by the media?

What did you expect? Ron Paul to be respected by the media?

Paul gets treated better than Gary Johnson.

But it's shit like this that made me leave the Republican Party and switch to the Libertarians.

Ron Paul said the golden rule in front of a Christian audience and got booed. WTF people?

It seems to me that reporters and such often throw questions like that into the mix. They know it's silly, but then you can get the candidate joking along or, as Paul does, showing that they have no sense of humor.

I see Fox News is once again setting the standard for quality news.

Boo hoo, poor old Paul got asked an embarrassing question, boo hoo. It's called ratings, of course they would have done this to anyone who wasn't the sitting president at the time, because it'll get people to tune in, without risking official backlash.

Mitt Romney got accused of killing a man's wife, which is unquestionably worse than being gay, assuming Paul would consider that a bad thing anyway. Meanwhile, Barack Obama gets asked what his workout song is. It's not just you, Ron Paul supporters. We're all taking the heat.

Isn't Ron Paul kind of the joke option anyway?

In Australia at least the people running who have no chance but are just doing so to get heard by a few people can have interviews with less serious radio stations etc. They get a chance to speak but sillier stuff - like this - can come up.

Was Paul bothered by this? Seems like something that would be easy to laugh off or have a joke with yourself. It's softball stuff, unless Ron Paul is offended by even the jokey implication he might be gay. Compared to the birther, socialist/nazi/commie, etc accusations Obama has to put up with?

Or the stuff I'm sure Romney gets regarding money? Yeah - "have you ever slept with this man" is horrendous!

No, I was not. I wanted the man to show it because my side was making themselves look like chumps and since it's a constitutional requirement to be born here, the man should have said "I'm all about the constitution, here it is" rather than letting it slide. But not being born here=/=felon and killer.
