Hello, hello! Come one, come all, and welcome to the next in a very long and winding line of Warhammer 40,000 RP's. You will each take control of a single or a small number of characters, either as single units within a larger force or as a force commander. But remember, I'z da big Warboss uff dis RP, so what I sez goes! Just keep everything rational and keep it within the limits of the 40k Fluff, alright? Now then, time for the show.
Many thousands of years ago, the forces of Chaos reached the isolated world of Gethmora, a little desert world in the outer Galaxy, near the Tau Empire's present location. At the time, a few settlements of humans were in residence, having arrived a few centuries before from further in towards the Galactic Centre and quickly equipping the world with an atmosphere and some basic flora and fauna. This native population stood little chance against the forces of Chaos, and the unfortunate planet was quickly consumed. Gethmora remained under the control of Chaos for several centuries, before the ever on-going war between the Imperium and the forces of Chaos centred upon it. For many years Imperial troops, Space Marines, possessed humans, Chaos Daemons and many others lost their lives in the huge battle, but eventually an Ultramarine force succeeded in vanquishing their foe, banishing Chaos from the world of Gethmora. It was renamed Aurora by the Imperium, and repopulated with loyal colonists from Holy Terra herself, as well as fertilised into greater fertility by Imperial terraforming technology. Left to its own devices, other humans and abhumans from the outer regions moved in. Over the years, the planet became ever more independent until, eventually, when a Collective of independent worlds in the area, known as the Trakhaan Confederation, invited it to join them, it accepted gladly.
In the present day, Aurora is a fertile planet, with extensive forests, plains, marshlands and jungles, in addition to some remaining desert areas. In the east, huge cities have emerged, populated by millions of humans, abhumans and even stray Tau, Kroot and other minority races. In orbit is an Air Caste orbital city, having left the Empire to join the Trakhaan Confederation. The leaders of the City and Province Councils meet regularly, forming the worldwide Planetary Council. However, unbeknownst to the populous, fiercely independent population, dark mysteries lurk beneath the ground: relics abandoned during the world's 'Time of Chaos', and the even older slumbering Necrons, beginning to stir from their long rest. Perhaps due to some kind of premonition, the diverse people of Aurora are preparing themselves for war, as powerful forces converge on the little world...
Rules: Yes, yes. Got to have these.
No godmodding. Let's say that you've god some SPEHS MARIN'S with Terminator armour, and you're facing a large opposing force. Now, you'll take out quite a few, depending on how you approach the situation, but you won't kill. . . say 5,000 without taking a single casualty. Keep it realistic, or as realistic as 40k gets.
No one liners. If you're going to post, I'd prefer at least five sentences per post, although I'd love to see some imagination, and a couple paragraphs per post. But, I'll settle for at least five lines. Now, I'm not going to stress having absolutely perfect punctuation and grammar, but keep it within limits. Treat this as if you're a writer, and you're writing a story. There's some damn etiquette for this sort of thing.
I reserve the right to set a cap on any race. If I feel as if there are too many players for one race, I will not allow further applications for that race, and I will kindly ask that a few apps be switched over to a race more needed.
Now, I don't mind RP'ing your character killing one or two enemies, so long as they're basic NPC's and the player controlling the force in question is fine with it. But no RP'ing your guys (or girls) just mowing through enemies without the permission of the player RP'ing those enemies.
Under no circumstances are you allowed to take control of other people's characters without their permission.
All of the above is real basic, beginner stuff, so I'm quite sure you all already know it. Now, let's get in there.

You do not have to be military personnel. You can be anything you want, within reason. If you're not sure if it's allowed, TG either Danbershan or I. If you're attacked, remember that you're not military, and thus untrained or poorly trained, and likely unarmed or poorly armed.
Military forces are not static, and I'm allowing a fluid amount of reinforcements. But keep it within reason. If I feel like you're spamming reinforcements, I reserve the right to godmod wiping them out.
