An Affair to End All Affairs (ATTN Rynatia)

Postby Calizorinstan » Tue Dec 20, 2011 2:44 pm

Joseph was waiting at the gate for the flight carrying Ms. Cellocoat from Rynatia in, who would hopefully be his new civil rights advisor, something the Tory party had been pestering him to have for some time. And if her pictures were accurate, she would be certainly be fun to have around..

At 6'4, with dark hair, a mustache and imposing grey eyes, wearing his suit, he was an imposing sight, as most Calizorinstani's averaged around 5'6 or so, giving him the appearance of a giant. He smiled warmly as he waited, nodding to passersby.

A Rynatian airliner touched down, it landed easily and without trouble."Enjoy you're stay and thank you for flying Ryn-air."
The pilot said as the passengers left, Alexis hummed and she left the flight a lightly armed guard helped her down the steps with her cases then proceeded to walk her through the airport where they halted. The tall guard stopped several feet away, he acknowledged the leader with a salute. touching his crimson beret.
Alexis recognized the leader and smiled enthusiastically. "Hello sir, it's an honor.I am Alexis Cellocrest." She said bowing her head.

Joseph saluted the guard with a crisp military salute, then turned to Alexis, and bowed, and kissed her hand. "A pleasure to meet you, miss. Now, outside is my car." He showed her and her guard to the car, which was a Porsche Panamaera super car, with tuned exhausts and engines. He held the door open for her, then got in the car, waited for the guard, then drove off to the mansion.

"I trust you had a pleasant flight, miss. So, what is on your mind, any questions about your advisory role, accommodations, etc, that I can answer?" He asked with a warm smile on his face, deigned to ease her into the country.

Alexis relaxed into the leather seats of the car and then spoke."I know only small bits of information on your country. However I would like to ask if you're nation has any major problems with civil rights...Or is this more of a publicity action?" She asked politely, hoping to understand her actual role. The guard kept straight and silent, switching his sub-machine gun to safety and ejecting the clip.

He frowned. "It is an action on my part to appease the politicians, who would have my head otherwise, not literally of course. But also, I do see a concern, and that is that the men around here are tough, and extremely arrogant. I've been arguing with the heads of the militaries to let women join our armed forces, and corporations for that matter, but they will not hire any as executives. We do have gender discrimination laws, but of course, every time I attempt to enforce it, Congress vetoes it. I am hoping that with you here, we can change it."

He turned his head to make eye contact when it was safe once and a while, and he thought what a beautiful woman she was.

Alexis nodded, crossing her legs and writing something down. "You need to make them see the benefits of women in you're army and corporations.Perhaps gathering the support of your nations women would help." She said smiling, blushing when she caught his eyes."Though i'm only here to offer you advise M'lord..."

Joseph sighed, thinking of the days when he had been in the calvary, chasing the natives across the plains. He smiled warmly. "I was coming to that conclusion myself, m'dear. I think we should be on first name basis, as I am uncomfortable with m'lord, makes me think of some snobby knight riding off to war." He got onto the turnoff to the ocean community of Cardiff by the Sea, where his manor was.

He blushed slightly as he caught her gaze then asked "What would you recommend our first option is? I plan on introducing you to Congress, and the Senate tomorrow, by the way. You have the job, if you want it."

Alexis's face lit up "Really?! Thank you Joseph!" She smiled and her eyes darted out at the sea."It's beautiful." She noted."But anyway, I think I should meet you government, knowing how things work will go well for us I think." She suggested."You're country has no titles?" She asked with curiosity. In Rynatia everyone had a title and a place.

He smiled warmly. We do have titles, and some of us make a big deal, but I believe you will find they are pretty humble and open minded about it.

They arrived at the mansion, which was a beautiful three story Victorian manor. He lead them inside and gave them a tour.

"You're home is beautiful Joseph. The Acupuncture is quite different from my homes, yet this is wonderful." Alexis said in awe. "Is this an old house?" She asked."It doesn't seem like the others, and not everyone could live in a house so big on there own."She said with a smile as she followed Joseph.

Alexis smiled."Then it has meaning and not just simply a way to show wealth?" Alexis asked, approval clear in her voice."But that doesn't matter much...Um, should we behind our work Joseph?" She asked rubbing her neck and covering's her mouth whilst yawning.

Alexis smiled."That would be nice...The flight was long." She informed him."I planes...Especially when you're being staked by a trigger happy agent with a gun.But anyway what do you have in mind?" She said with a smile.

Joseph smiled and led her to a patio that overlooked the Pacific Ocean, which had lawn chairs and a table. He prepared a meal of bread and cheese, with soft drinks. Sitting down, he smiled at her. "Alexis, did anybody ever tell you how stunning you are? I am sure that the congressmen and senators tomorrow will fall over in shock when they see who the new civil rights advisor is. Not that I or anybody else judges on looks alone. That would not be that smart. However, I sense you have a great heart, and you are fun to be around with."

"So, while we are relaxing, do you have any stories from your nation that you'd like to share?" He asked his guest, with a curious expression on his face.

Her smile beamed and her cheeks flushed red, she looked up from the cheese still smiling, "Thank you..." She said shyly.
"I have some stories...But i'm not sure if you'd like to hear them.Would you prefer stories from my experiences or legends about my country?" She asked biting her lower lip, she played with a strand of her hair as she looked at him.

Joseph smiled "I would love to hear some stories about your experiences. After all, I would like to get to know you better as we work together." He smiled warmly, as he relaxed in his chair, looking at her with a kind expression.

Alexis nodded."I went to a public school, in a class of 6." She told him."After graduating...Sorry you already know all that." She smiled."I'l tell you about me more instead...I enjoy socialising and meeting new people, I like learning about foreign cultures too." She said playing with her gold necklace as she pondered what else to tell him, she was glad he wasn't strict, unlike in Rynatia were duty was everything.

Joseph smiled "You sound like a really cool person, Alexis. Tomorrow, I'll give you a tour of the Presidential office and the congress and the senate. Then, we have a governmental party, where I will introduce you to everybody. So, any other stories that you'd like to tell me? I would really like to hear them."

"Thank you, i'm flattered you have honoured me as to attend yourself." Alexis smiled her eyes looked at him enthusiasticly.
"I don't want to bore you Joeseph but perhaps you have some stories...Were you a soldier? I'm guessing from your posture and strong build..."

Joseph smiled. "Ah, I was a solider, but more than that, I was a calvaryman." He looked at her "Believe it or not, we still have a horse mounted fighting unit, as they are sometimes the only units to be able to penetrate the more hilly areas of Calizorinstan, such as Northern Calizornia, which is a few hundred miles up." He sighed, and took off his shirt, feeling the heat, but also showing off his strong abs, and as he turned around to pick up his drink, a long scar ran down his back.

"That scar was from a cut in a battle, a saber battle, believe it or not. We were pretty outnumbered by the enemy, and help was not due for another twenty hours." He sat down and stared off into the distance. "We fought hard and long, and when we ran out of ammunition, we used our sabers. We finally gained a hill, and stole some ammo from the dead enemy. I created a barricade. I thought that it was going to be our last stand, and as we fought, out of the sky comes the air calvary, and saves the day." He touched his cheek where some more faint scars could be seen.

Alexis leaned in listening intently and admiring his physique. A new found respect for the leader, in Rynatia soldiers were the centre of social grace, regarded as heroes and brave warriors."That's amazing, you must be quite brave, and on horses? That must have been difficult." She commented examining his scars."I haven't served in the army yet, but may not have to while i'm working for you here."

He smiled as he remembered leading the charge against the guerillas. "Yeah, it can be a challenge. But I bonded with my war-horse, Donner, a beautiful black Throughbred, and he served through thick and thin. In fact, he still lives, as I have some stables here. I ride him occasionally. Then after the calvary, the Air Force offered me an offer I could not refuse, to become a pilot."

"So I went to pilot training, and ended up being number one in my class. At the time, they were phasing out some of the older jets, but I elected to fly the F-4C. As it turns out, the unit I happened to be stationed at went to war in various conflicts, the Dominion Commonwealthe criss, the Londinian crisis, the Khilistanian war. I ended up with someplace between 125-175 air to air kills. I am not kidding you. And, I had some interesting stories, but I am not sure if they would bore you or not."

"No Joseph, please tell me." She pleaded with a large smile."You were a pilot? My mother was a pilot." She told him.She remembered fondly her home land, frowning that it would be a long time before she would see her home.
"It must have been great, being a pilot!"

Joseph saw this pleading look and shook his head grinning. "All right. I'll tell you." He told her about pilot training, about how on his first fight in the jet trainer, the T-38, they lost both engines on take off and had to eject. "That was a fun way to start it, let me tell you. I guess a flock of birds impacted the engines or something." Then he told some combat missions he had been on.

"I stayed behind, because one of my friends had gotten shot down and I was not going to leave him until a Search and Rescue helicopter came and got him. This was when I flew the Harrier, after the F-4 and the F-15. So an hour later, the SAR helicopter had still not shown up, so I made a landing and picked up him. He rode on my lap and I took him back myself. This was with many anti-aircraft guns going off. Really, people may say it was heroic, but it was my duty to my fellow airman."

He saw her wistful glance and said, guessing she was thinking about home "You will get to go back to your homeland lots of times, do not worry, Miss. When Congress adjourns for the winter, you may fly back and visit your home over the holidays if you wish. Now, if you'd like to see old Donner, we can visit him now if you wish."
