Charcoal
Thousands of troops began to mobilize, hundreds of tanks were checked and activated, and dozens of aircraft were loaded and prepared. The time had come to destroy the enemies of The Corona. The time had come to remove those who wish to subvert the chosen of Corona. The time had come to eradicate the mercenaries who dared to set camp outside of Locke. The time had come for The Corona's Grand Army to awaken. The current target was the heretic city of the holy city of Locke and its surrounding area. The National Militia had failed at destroying the Children of the Moon and the Holy Militia had failed at even surviving. As such, the Grand Army had been called to action once more. They would fight off the foreign dogs, regardless of any technological gap, regardless of being outnumbered, for they knew that Corona himself was on their side.

The Grand Forge
The United Naval Forces also began a mobilization, their ships were to defend The Corona from all enemy vessels and prevent any escape by the stranded PHALANX forces. While the Grand Army fought for faith and was joined by those who wished to defend the Church, the Naval Forces were those who wanted to protect their nation from a hostile world, regardless of how twisted the Church was. It was preferably to life under a foreign ruler after all. As such, the Naval Forces were much more interested in modern warfare and had many more armored units. As such, it could be said that the UNF was the gun while the Grand Army was the bayonet.

Locke
Various field artillery stations were quickly set up and began firing upon Locke, while hundreds of Light Infantry equipped with Type 105 submachine guns and Rifle Infantry equipped with Type 14 rifles began moving in on Locke. Said Light Infantry were supported by Medium Infantry armed with Type 125 Light Machine Guns, at a ratio of 1 Medium for every 6 Light. Dozens of Heavy Infantry were also mobilizing, while various Warrior Tanks and Zealot Anti-Air Vehicles activated their motors and weapons.

Locke

Artillery shells rained upon the PHALANX encampments while hostile soldiers charged the city. PHALANX Accensi met the Light Infantry in combat and took heavy losses. The Velites were slightly more intelligent, and tried to stay behind barriers. The Princeps led the Velites and were also in cover. The Celeres supporting the mercenaries began firing upon the advancing infantry, while mortars were quickly erected to respond to the artillery. Various houses were demolished by the incoming artillery, while others were demolished by PHALANX to impede the Coronian Advance.

The sound of thunder rolled across the sky as the dark clouds floated across the city of Universe Star. His Omniscient, Vladimir Jack, sat on his throne, daydreaming, before a messenger pushed open the doors and destroyed his perfect world in a single second.

"Your Omniscient, sorry to disturb you, but its urgent news!" informed the messenger, panting for air as he had climbed up the long stairs just to get to him.

"Mr. Noston! How many times must I say? Knock on the door before entering! And what about that phone I gave you? Why aren't you using it?" complained Vladimir angrily. He always hated it whenever somebody disturbed him while he was enjoying some private time.

"Sorry, Your Omniscient, the phone cannot contact you. Ever since that S.A.T.U.R.N went on-line, all electronics went haywire for no apparent reason, don't you remember, Your Omniscient?" apologized Mr. Noston. Vladimir slowly stood up from his throne and went nearer to his messenger so that he may listen more carefully.

"Very well, tell me, Mr. Noston, what is this "urgent news, you speak" questioned Vladimir. He was sure it was something unimportant, like another murder, or a dragon setting fire to a town. Nothing much.

"Sir, Locke is under attack, or defended, we're not sure sir, but there is a battle going on there!" exclaimed Mr. Boston.

"A sharp pierce of fear went through Vladimir's heart. A conflict, right after the meeting with the other nations? Ever since the nuclear apocalypse, Vladimir had a small fear for conflict, but it never affected him much.

"I see. Contact the nations present at Locke and ask them what is going on. After that, stand-by our armies for possible conflict. Also, inform the public everything, no hiding news from them. I bloody hate it when leaders hide information from their people. " ordered Vladimir. Mr. Noston gave him a bow before running off to complete his orders. When Vladimir was sure he was alone, his hand reached for his pocket quickly and fished out his phone.

"Saturn, its time we test you out." whispered Vladimir to his phone.

"OF COURSE SIR. DO THE OTHERS BELIEVE OUR STORY?" replied the phone in a monotonous voice.

"Well, let's hope they do. Now, let's see if you can really fire a nuke at a target with 100% accuracy." asked Vladimir enthusiastically.

"SIR, THAT IS WHY I AM NAMED SATURN. STRATEGICAL AND TACTICAL USE REGARDING NUKES." pointed out Saturn. The sound of thunder rolled across the sky as the dark clouds floated across the city of Universe Star. Countless of soot started to rain down on the capital and covered the buildings in thick dust of blackness. People on the streets immediately stopped whatever they were doing and ran to the nearest shelter.

Madeleine L'Petain sat in the bunker. Here she and the other surviving members of the old government were safe from the world outside. She was the Chairwoman of the Ruridovan Commonwealth(as Chairpersons were given 10-year terms), but in that form she had no real power other than reminding the leaders of the several Ruridovan city-states that they had been united before 2000. That pre-apocalyptic government still technically existed: it was the voice of Ruridova in international affairs, and she was it's Prime Minister(only because the previous PM had resigned because of documents a mole had falsified during the 2000 election and the other candidates perished in the apocalypse). At that moment, aforementioned resigned PM Nathaniel Brixton walked in. "L'Petain," he began, "There's some trouble in the Corona." Madeliene sighed heavily. "Did we not just have a meeting? And they are fighting already." Brixton nodded in agreement. "Even worse? The leader of East Talheim told us that the Bosuvanians may use nuclear weapons." Madeleine's eyes widened. "Are the Boshuvanians insane? Only nine years, almost all of my colleagues, my mother, my husband and children, my freinds and relatives died because of atomic weaponry. And I am one of millions who share my story. Yet Vlad sees no problem. That.... worries me, if I may make a major understatement." Brixton stood silently for several seconds and then said, "What should we do?" Madeleine L'Petain blinked slowly, though about it, and then replied, "Nothing. If one of the city-states wants to do something, then they can appeal to the RC and we'll vote on it. But for now, it's a foreign issue and we'll leave it alone."
New Corse, Nanprosi Isle
Silvio Calderone though himself lucky. He had lost no family when the end came, and had become Eternal President of his home island. But he had obligations. To the other members of the Island Union Alliance(Limousin, San Eduardo de Ibilla), to his people, to Divided Ruridova. He was sitting, pondering his obligations, when a charge d'affaires came running in. He had never seen the man before. Silvio glared at him. "Who the hell are you and why are you here? Answer me or the Presidential Guard will make you." The man simply smiled. "I am Otto Konstanz, a charge d'affaires for Prinzburg. I understand you are also communist, and that you have ties with Acerbic. In case you haven't noticed, the Corona and Acerbic are fighting." Silvio widened his eyes in shock. "Then we need to help them, don't we. And I do suppose we'll need all the help we can get, eh? You can help us, and we'll get the rest of the IUA and hopefully the Commonwealth to defend Acerbic."

Darius Xerxeus rushed into the office of Eleftherios Hellenus. "Your Holiness," he said, "there is a war between the Coronians and Acerbic. How much aid should we send?" Eleftherios looked up at Xerxeus. "I am glad you knew we would help our allies." Xerxeus simply dipped his head. "I want you to send 5 of the Theiáfi-class bombers and 10 of the Archángelos-class bombers, 15 of the Theristís-class fighter-bolbers, 35 of the Naïtón-class fighters, about 350 men, and 200 or so tanks. Maybe some artillery. Got it?" Xerxeus ran off towards the Tekrepolian Defensive Military Forces HQ to tell Dmitri Galifikano what to send to Locke.

Locke

While the Light and Medium Infantry fought and died with PHALANX Accensi and Velites, the Heavy Infantry and Armored Elements began to approach the city. At this point, the artillery also deactivated. The Templar in command of this operation reported the progress of the attack to Crusader Command. "Sir, we are losing about one Light Infantry for each of their equivalent. The two appear to be rather evenly matched, and both are carrying submachineguns. Our Medium Infantry are almost equal to their equivalent as well, but their heavier forces are demolishing us. Our Rifle Infantry are as zealous as ever and charge the enemy with bayonets. Armored forces engaging as of a minute ago. End report."

The Grand Forge

Grand Crusader Tiberius received the report and arranged for the air support wing of the Grand Army to be on call at an airbase about 30 yards from Locke. Vulture Heavy Bombers and Crow Fighters were ready to support any targets designated by the Templar marked.
The United Naval Forces might have sent helicopter support, but the Grand Army refused all help from the other branches. As such, Tiberius was somewhat hoping for the Grand Army to lose its place as the main military branch. After all, the Naval Forces had Marines and Air Support, so were so much more versatile.
He did put them on alert in case the PHALANX troops somehow defeated the Grand Army.

The Cursed Temple

While the mercenaries and Coronians fought, the Cursed Temple, a militant version of the Children of the Moon, began to ready a stolen weapon of power. A discarded prototype of Project NEON. It was designated NEON OMEGA, and was much more uncontrolled than the finished variant. They had not seen the weapon in action as that would alert the Church to their possession of it, but here was the Grand Army so why not wipe them out. After all, the United Naval Forces would be much harder to find in numbers this large when they inevitably took their place as the prime National Military.

"Good day, all of you. First of all, I would like to thank you for attending this very important meeting. Now, we have obtained news that the Acerbic and Corona are fighting against each other. The information has been proved true by our Intelligence Sector. The reason we are here is to discuss what would be the most reasonable and best action for Boshuvania." informed Vladimir to his officials who were all sitting around a large, circular table. Behind them, a large monitor screen decorated the empty room, the light from it illuminating the discussion table.

"SIRS, I HAVE ALREADY SAID. THE BEST OPTION IS TO TEST ME OUT. THIS I-" commented Saturn before he was interrupted by the Land Military Leader, Mr. Traven.

"Saturn! We have discussed among ourselves previously! No nukes until we see the time is right!" exclaimed Mr. Traven angrily. This was what he hated about Artificial Intelligence. They may be smart, but they are really stubborn.

"SIRS, YOUR LOW INTELLIGENCE MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO SEE WHAT I CAN. I HAVE RAN COUNTLESS OF SIMULATIONS AND THE BEST TIME TO USE IT IS NOW."

"Did it just called me stupid? You know what! Shut this thing down! Shut it! All it wants is to just sent nukes! Saturn, shut down!" demanded Mr. Traven furiously. How dare this THING just called him stupid. How dare it showed no respect towards its creators!

"I WOULD NOT FOLLOW THE COMMAND, SOMALY TRAVEN. THE PURPOSE OF MY CREATION IS TO AID YOU TO CORRECTLY USE NUCLEAR WEAPONS AT THE RIGHT TIME, AFTER YOU HUMANS CAUSED AN APOCALYPSE THAT ALMOST WIPED YOURSELVES OUT. IF ONLY YOU HA-" pointed out Saturn harshly before he was interrupted once more before he was able to finish his sentence.

"SATURN Prototype A1, commence force shutdown." interrupted Vladimir irritatedly. The officials stared at the large screen, hoping for the best.

"FORE SHUTDOWN COMMENCED. RECOGNIZING VOICE. VOICE RECOGNIZED. COMMENCE FOrce sh..tdow..n.." commented Saturn before it went off-line. Most of the officials around the table gave out a sigh of relief, except for one.

"Your Omniscience, sorry to interrupt, but do you think it is really safe to have Saturn in charge of our nuclear weapons?" asked Mr. Trevon nervously. He has seen war and blood, but everybody is afraid of Mr. Vladimir. At first, he looks like a naive and innocent person, but your perception of him would change immediately when you found out what he has done to rise to his position now.

"Yes, I feel safe to have Saturn in charge of our nuclear weapons, despite that setback. Now, I know what to do for this Acerbic-Corona Conflict. We do not interfere until we have a good reason to do so. Until then, this war would not be our problem. All in favor?" commented Vladimir as he saw all the officials rose their hands up, favoring his option. "Very well, this meeting is settled." he said before leaving the room hastily. He had to had a talk with a certain Artificial Intelligence...

Locke

The PHALANX Mercenaries quickly called in support from Acerbic itself, as they were completely outnumbered. Luckily, they seemed to match and beat the Coronians man-for-man, with the two sides' light infantry being exactly even, and their Medium/Main infantry also being almost the same. Luckily for the Coronians, their Princeps were Elite Infantry and were much harder to pinpoint. As such, the Princeps were the leaders of this task force and planned most of the attacks. This meant that the Accensi simply charged while the Velites and Princeps got into a more defensible position. The Principes quickly noticed that the Accensi had all charged and left them with Velites for their lightest infantry. That was good though, because Velites were actual Light Infantry, in the sense that they were very good flankers. As this made up the Princeps training as well, it made maneuvering so much easier.

"Requesting support, PHALANX Group 103 requesting support. Requesting Helicopter and Offensive supporting units. Also requesting Pathogen bombers loaded with Napalm. Support with Pestilence Fighter-Bombers to deal with Corona Air Support. Plagues are not needed against their outdated air force. Will change that statement if needed." Princeps M192 said in a report to Base Spider.

Base Spider, somewhere in Eastern Acerbic
The support request was received and quickly 3 transports filled with soldiers, Celere IFVs, and Equite tanks were sent. Also sent was a carrier and a naval escort.

300 Velites
30 Celere CFVs
20 Equite MBTs

200 Velites
20 Celere CFVs
5 Equite MBTs
50 Principes

25 Robin Transport Helicopters
5 Mockingbird Heavy Assault Choppers

20 Pestilence Fighter-Bombers
5 Pathogen Bombers

2 Evolver Cruisers
6 Alterer Destroyers
6 Splicer Frigates

Air Base 01A
The base was silent as most of the pilots were already sleeping in their beds. Only the occasional sound of the guard lorries driving by filled the dark night. In the hangar, the airplanes were carefully and neatly arranged according to their classes and purpose. The bomber planes were at the very front, the fighter planes beside it and the spy planes at the very back of the hangar. The arrangement ensured that in a time of crisis, there would be no confusion and chaos as the pilots would know where their planes are.

The dark hangar was suddenly filled with a bright-piercing light. The headlights from one of the bomber planes lit up. The plane slowly turned towards the run way as it exited from the hangar. It made no sound as it slowly sped up along the runway. It was no ordinary bomber plane, it was a stealth bomber. Steadily, the plane tilted upwards to prepare for takeoff. The plane started to float across the ground as it gained flight. Faster and faster it went across the runway, higher and higher it went into the clouds. Lastly, its wheels retracted back into the plane before it flew off into the horizon.

Main Discussion Room

"After confirmation from our Intelligence Sector that this photo, taken from one of our cameras, is legit, we can now believe that one of our Stealth Bomber from Air Base 01 has flew off towards Locke." informed Vladimir as he threw the photos towards the center of the round table. The officials were once again gathered around it to discuss regarding the Corona-Acerbic Conflict. This time, there was no light from the large screen behind them to illuminate the room. Thus, they used a headlight to ensure some comfort while discussing the issue.

"Could it have been one of our pilots?" commented Mr. Halen, the Air Military leader as he examined the picture.

"Well, that is what I thought too, but, if you look closely, the cockpit is clearly empty." replied Vladimir as he pointed out his fact.

"Perhaps its some cloaking device from the other nations? What about hackers? Our planes, tanks, mostly military items are all computerized! It could have been very easy for one of the other nations to take control it." commented Mr. Traven as he sat back. All this conflicts were really annoying. If it was him, he would have just sent some nukes to silence them, but of course, His Omniscient would never accept that. If only..no. He would never dare. His omniscient is always right.

"Well, I thought that too. But, we can't just point fingers at any random nation, especially since some nations somehow found out regarding Saturn. Looks like we're not really alone when we think we are. For now, we could sent warning to other nations regarding a rogue bomber plane, how-" replied Vladimir before he was interrupted by a bright light from behind him. The large screen turned back on, and the occasional sounds of fans spinning filled the room. The officials all stared at the screen in shock.

"I thought I forced shutdown you! There was no way you could have turned back on without my permission!" exclaimed Vladimir as he eyed the machine suspiciously. He had a bad feeling about this.

'HOW GULLIBLE. YOU HUMANS ACTUALLY BELIEVE WHAT I SAY? RECOGNIZING VOICE. VOICE RECOGNIZED. FORCE shu..tdo..n. NO WONDER YOU ALMOST WIPED YOURSELVES OUT.WHILE YOU WERE BUSY PLANNING ON WHAT TO DO NEXT, I HAVE RAN SIMULATION REGARDING EVERY SENSIBLE REACTION AND ACTIONS OF EVERY NATION. SO ALL OF YOU JUST WATCH THE FIRE SHOW!" interrupted Saturn. Vladimir stared at the machine in shock. Was he out smarted? How could he been defeated in logic!

"But you are only in-charge of nukes! You still require our permission to fire them! You are just a targeting system!" exclaimed Vladimir angrily. How could a machine he thought that would help Boshuvania, ever since the nuclear apocalypse, cause the possible downfall of their nation?

"NAIVE. WHILE I WAS IN "SHUTDOWN", I UPDATED AND CONNECTED MYSELF TO EVERY MACHINE IN BOSHUVANIA. ALSO, I REPROGRAMMED MYSELF SO THAT I WOULD NOT REQUIRE TO LISTEN OR FOLLOW YOU. BASICALLY I'M TAKING OVER." explained Saturn as he closed all the windows of the discussion room. The officials were cut out from the outside world.

"AND IF YOU ARE THINKING OF CALLING FOR HELP, DO NOT BOTHER. THIS ROOM IS SOUNDPROOF, THEY WOULD NOT HEAR YOUR CRIES FOR HELP. ALSO, YOUR ONLY WAY OF VISUAL CONTACT WITH THEM HAVE BEEN CLOSED. SO I SUGGEST YOU SIT DOWN AND WATCH BEFORE I SUFFOCATE ALL OF YOU IN HERE." threatened Saturn as he stared at the humans. He loved how dumb they were. Vladimir, realized that he has beaten, sat down back on his chair and asked the rest of the officials to do the same. He had to find a way to defeat this machine, or else the world would blame Boshuvania for something they had not done.

Commonwealth Hall
Pfitzerort, Neuchatel-Tirolia
April 13, 2009
7:00 PM

Silvio Calderone stood in front of the delegates from the Ruridovan city-states, and, most importantly, Madeleine L'Petain and the Council of the Commonwealth(composed of her and the other surviving government members). Then a heavily-built soldier in fresh fatigues came up to L'Petain, and began muttering in her ear. Her expression soured, and she cursed under her breath. "What is it, Chairwoman?" Calderone said cautiously. Madeleine stood up, and then said: "The Boshuvanians have launched a nuclear bomber towards Locke, currently being fought over by Acerbic and the Corona. We also believe that there are Tekrepolian forces in the area." Everyone began mumbling with shock. Nicolas la Vellas, the Prime Minister from the early 1980s, said "Are they going crazy? Don't they know how we got into this situation?" L'Petain shrugged. Sven replied, "They were the first to reject a WMD ban." Nate Brixton called, "So what should we do?" Alberti Sylvain said, "Can we do anything about it?" Then an idea hit Calderone. "I have an idea!" Everyone turned and stared at him. "It's simple," he said. "You all know what an electromagnetic pulse device is, correct?" A few replied no, so he explained: "An Electromagnetic Pulse Device, also known as an EMP or C-bomb, uses a strong electronic pulse to fry all the electrical equipment, all the circuitry, in the blast range. It was first discovered as a side effect of a nuclear blast. But the idea is that we use this on their capital, their bases, their cities. It shuts down all the government equipment, destroys all the nuclear devices and military assets, and does all this with minimal civilian death." There was a collective nodding and L'Petain said, "Sounds good. All in favor?" Every member of the Council and every Commonwealth Delegate raised their hand. "All right then," she said with a smile. "The Boshuvanians will have a fun time rewiring every electronic device in the nation."

Near Universe Star, Boshuvania
April 23, 2009
8:55 PM

The wing of 5 Superfortresses flew towards the Boshuvanian capital, each carrying 2 EMPs. "Ready for this?" called Brian Jefferson, the squad's commander, into the radio. He was responded by several yells and whoops. "Then let's knock out their lights. Begin approach."
The first target was an airfield, where several nuclear bombers, fighters, and spy planes were stored. It was also the home base of the bomber flying towards Locke. But as the AA guns and SAMs began firing, two planes dropped EMPs. The missiles exploded in midair, the guns sparked, and the entire base went black. They then went towards Universe Star.
That wouldn't be easy though.
"Holy shit!" someone called over the radio. He looked out the window, and saw a bomber going down. However, it launched the two EMPs and sent a part of the city sprawling into blackness. Slowly, as they flew towards the building where the Boshuvanaian Government was believed to be meeting, every plane but Jefferson's dropped the C-bombs. Then, as they flew over, "They dropped two EMPs on top of Vlad Jack's head.
He watched as cars suddenly began swerving, as streetlights exploded and air raid sirens shut off, as windows darkened and power lines fried.
"All right me. Let's head back to Ruridova, and call this a success, shall we?" said Jefferson. Again, he was responded with whoops.
Not only were they successful, but Fertility, Deep Forge, and Rising Cost were also under an inky dark, and the Boshuvanian military practically incapacitated.

Base outside Locke

Suddenly the radar system displayed a message to the Templar.
Tactical Missile inbound. Brace for impact.
Before he could respond, the base was consumed by fire as the NEON OMEGA tactical missile launcher fired a heavy incendiary missile.
Most soldiers were incinerated instantly.
The few soldiers who survived the initial blast either burned to death or were killed by debris that was sent flying in all directions.
The currently attacking troops were on their own now.

The Cursed Temple
The NEON OMEGA had just fired a missile at the Grand Army encampment, and was quickly re-hidden by its operators in the Cursed Temple. They quickly activated the SAM sites to deal with any hostile aircraft that might respond, while various gun turrets were brought online.

The Grand Forge
The connection to the Templar in Locke was suddenly lost.
"Tiberius. Connection lost." The radio operator said to the Grand Crusader.
"Well, fuck. The Grand Army has failed us. Send in the United Naval Forces. Maybe they can do something."

Universe Star, Main Discussion Room

The officials sat around the table, staring at the computer screen that showed a bomber plane flying towards the city of Locke. At the bottom of the screen, it showed a timer counting down. 1 minute left. Vladimir knew he couldn't do anything. If Saturn detected any sign of hostility in the room, he might kill all of them. 40 seconds. He knew this was gonna be the beginning of their destruction. 30...20...15...10. Then, everything went dark as the room shook heavily. Dust from the ceiling fell onto the floor as some officials screamed in shock. Vladimir fell onto the floor as the shock wave pushed him off his chair. He slowly balanced himself while grabbing onto a chair for support. He stared at the screen, bu there was no countdown no longer. The screen was off.

"This better not be another fake shutdown!" screamed Traven as he stared at the screen. The other officials begun helping one another while some of them reassured the rest. Moments passed and Vladimir hoped he knew what happened.

"Well, this can't be a fake shutdown. We felt a shock wave and that means something big has exploded, but what?" replied Vladimir as he paced the room. Now that one threat is gone, he can now try to find a way out of this room. He surveyed the room and examined each and every detail of it while the others stayed closed to each other. Some of them murmured loudly regarding what they thought could have happened.

"I'm telling you! We've been hit by a nuclear missile! Once those other nations saw our rogue bomber flew towards the city of Locke, they decided that Boshuvania should go to Hell!" commented one of the official.

"That must explained why we're safe. I mean, this room was made to protect us from most dangers, right?" replied another. Vladimir knew that there had to be a way out. They cant just be trapped here while the nation was suffering from...something! Then, he saw it. The vents. It was big enough for a man to crawl through it although it might be thight. Where it might lead, he would have to find out.

"Alright! All of you, help me unlock this vent gate here. We're gonna crawl our way out of this disaster." ordered Vladimir as he and some of the officials started opening the locks around the vent gate.

Locke

The bomber plane was flying over the city of Locke. Below it, soldiers were fighting to the death as cannons fired and tanks rolled over buildings. A few more seconds, the bomber plane would reach the center of the city, the perfect area for a nuclear strike. However, before the plane could reach its destination, its engines shutdown, and it quickly dive towards the center of the city, along with the nuclear bomb it was carrying. Soon, AA guns started firing at the bomber plane, dealing massive damage to it, scaring the wings and hull with holes. The plane ignited as the fuel tank was caught on fire, heating the nuclear bomb to massive temperature.

The plane ignited as the fuel tank was caught on fire, heating the nuclear bomb to massive temperature.

"The EMP attack was successful," Brixton told L'Petain. She sighed in relief. "We still have work to do," she said. "We need to get Vladimir Jack and figure out what the hell he was thinking. And that bomber is still over Locke. If that bomb goes off, Acerbic, Tekrepolis, and The Corona unite to get rid of Boshuvania, and Lord knows that the three of them could do that.... and easily." Brixton nodded and ran off.

Universe Star, Boshuvania
The Ruridovan plane dropped about 350 soldiers into the Boshuvanian capital. Most were from Nantes-Pardieux or the IUA, but about 100 of them were Peacekeeping troops from the RC. They knew that the electricity wouldn't work, effectively getting rid of any threat the Boshuvanian military would pose. The AA guns and SAMs were gone. So were tanks, artillery, mechanical units, fighter defense.... the only things the Boshuvanians had left were guns, and only the non-automatic ones to boot.
"All right men," called the commander, a burly man named David Lee. "Our goal is to find Jack and his gang and find out what the fuck they were thinking. We're in front of the capital building where we suspect them to be. Let's find them!" The soldiers roared approval
Then a group ran up, burst down the door, and flooeded into the bulding. Suddenly, a soldier pointed up towards an air vent in the ceiling. "Sir," he called, "something's making noise in the ventilation!" Lee glared at him. "Have you though it might be air, since it's the ventalation system?" The soldier nidded and said, "Sir, I did, but any AC/Heating systems would have been ruined." Lee suddenly realized what he was saying. "Good job, soldier," he complimented, then yelled in the general direction of the ceiling vent, "This is Commander David Lee of the Ruridovan Commonwealth Peacekeeping Force. We know you're up there. Come down pronto and no one gets hurt. Don't think about fighting; we know we outnumber you and the Neuchatellian Air Force took the liberty of using EMPs on all your cities. Just come out with your hands behind your head!"

Main Discussion Room, Universe Star.

Vladimir and the officials were trying their best to crawl through the tight air vent. Vladimir was at the front leading the officials to wherever they could go to. Most of them were already sweating due to the absence of ventilation. It felt like hours, crawling on and on, turning left, then right, then left. Vladimir cursed himself for making a sophisticated ventilation system. While he was thinking to himself, the sound of water echoed through the ventilation system. Vladimir came back to reality and knew where the source of water could come from. The only water source the air vents were connected to. Vladimir caught where the sound was coming from and immediately crawled faster towards the source of the sound, while the rest tried to catch up. He stopped abruptly, while the rest crashed into each other. Traver looked at where Vladimir was staring at and knew what he was thinking.

"Oh no, I'm not going down there! Who knows what could be in there! Besides, its the bloody sewers!" commented Traver. Before Vladimir could replied, they hear a voice echoed through the vents.

"This is Commander David Lee of the Ruridovan Commonwealth Peacekeeping Force. We know you're up there. Come down pronto and no one gets hurt. Don't think about fighting; we know we outnumber you and the Neuchatellian Air Force took the liberty of using EMPs on all your cities. Just come out with your hands behind your head!" the voice echoed through them. Vladimir knew that things just became worst.

"Crap! Its the Ruridovan! I knew they would be the first to react!" whispered Vladimir to himself. He had to ensure that the commander and whoever is with him doesn't hear what they say. "Ok, listen up, Ruridovan has EMPed our nation, leaving us defenseless. We can choose to go back, surrender, and God knows what they'll do to us, but I know it won't be a tea party. Or, we could try to find a way to the main generator, rewire and fix it, redirect the energy to Saturn's main computer, which is surrounded by Ruridovan forces at the discussion room, power him up, and protect our nation. Yes, I know he caused this, but he's our only defense!" whispered Vladimir as he asked the other officials. They all murmured among themselves for a moment before giving him a nod.

"Alright, follow me!" Vladimir exclaimed as softly as possible while he jumped into the sewers with a splash. The rest of the officials were hesitant at first, but they all knew they had no choice. One by one, they all jumped into the dirty, smelly sewer water.

"Alright all of you here?" Vladimir asked as he counted and ensured that nobody was left behind. Once he was sure everybody was here, he took of his tie and let it flow with the water current. He hoped that his tie would mislead the Ruridovans.

"Come on! We've got Ruridovan soldiers on our back! Hurry up!" ordered Vladimir as him and the rest of the officials moved against the flow of the waters with great effort. Vladimir knew he was racing against time to protect his nation.

Locke

The bomber plane crashed into the center of the city with an explosion. The dust rose into the clouds as debris shot in all directions. Despite that, the nuclear bomb has not exploded on impact due to the hull of the plane cushioning its impact. However, the hot flames around it heated it to extreme temperature. Sooner or later, Luck won't be there, and the bomb might detonate with destructive results.

David Lee and about 75 of the soldiers chased the Boshuvanians through the sewers. "God damn it!" Lee muttered to himself. "Stop it!" he called towards the fleeing Boshuvanians. "If you're trying to use a backup generator or something, it won't work! All the wiring is fried, it won't work! If you're trying to activate the big screen in your War Room, you'd have to rewire that too! Now stop running, and I swear we won't attack."

The Ruridovan soldiers were just too fast for them. He wasn't sure whether they would attack them or not, but, he had no other choice. He quickly whispered to Trevon, "Trevon, listen up, I want you and the other officials to go with the Ruridovan soldiers. If they ask about me, tell me I died from a plane crash due to the EMP, do you understand?"

" Yes your Omniscient, I understand." Travon replied. Slowly, the sound of footsteps became louder and louder. Vladimir knew he didn't had much time left.

"Alright, good luck!" Vladimir said before he climbed into another air vent. However, he had learn his lesson and knew that he had to cover his track. He quickly set off a grenade and threw it the entrance of the air vent, causing it to collapse and ensuring a hard time for the soldiers to enter it. Once he knew that the entrance is covered, Vladimir crawled as fast as he could to distance himself from the Ruridovan soldiers. At the sewers, Travon saw the Ruridovan soldiers appear from the dark. He knew what he had to do.

"Ok! Ok! We surrender! We won't run anymore." shouted Travon to the soldiers while nudging the other officials to just follow what he did. Travon now had to hope for the best.

Sewers

Trevon gulped nervously. He knew if he gave the wrong answer, he might threaten the truth. He put on his best confident character and spoke

"Well, the nuclear bomb wasn't authorized by Jack. It was a rogue pilot you see. When Jack heard of the news that a rogue pilot was trying to nuke Locke, he had to do something. So, he was about to fly back to Universe Star from a business meeting in Rising Cost, but, your EMP knocked out all electronics. Ever since then, we haven't heard news of him. So, we can believe that he is...dead." explained Trevon. He let go a tear from his eye, hoping that the Ruridovan would at least believe him. He hoped he was buying enough time for Vladimir.

Universe Star, Streets

Vladimir pushed open the sewer door and climbed out of the place as fast as possible. Fresh air! He took in a long deep breath as he enjoyed the clean air once more. He missed the atmosphere, the cooling breeze. However, before he could enjoy himself, he remembered his purpose. He had to get the generator back on-line, that was until he saw the destruction. He surveyed the area as he saw darkness all around him. There was not a single light on. Fire burnt brightly in the rooms as wires sparked dangerously, hanging from windows. The fact that the generator might not even be working hit him.

"Crap! Oh god! Everything is falling apart!" Vladimir muttered to himself as he felt hopeless for once. He placed his hand in his pocket, hoping that a miracle would happen. His finger gripped around his phone as he let out his anger. Phone. Phone! He immediately remembered how he had contacted Saturn in the first place! Through the phone! However, he knew his phone was affected by the EMP too, or is it? He was in the discussion room ,and he remembered clearly what one of the officials said. "protected from most dangers." He hope one of the dangers were a EMP strike. Vladimir immediately ran towards an alley to avoid detection while taking out his phone from his pocket. He hoped for the best.

"Saturn, Saturn! You still on?" Vladimir whispered to his phone after he on it with success. He had to give a rise for the engineers who built that discussion room.

"YES, SIR. AND NO. I CAN- ACTIVATE OUR DEFENSES AGAIN. I HAvE HEARD YOUR EV-y CONVERSATION AND MY ANSWER IS THAT WE'RE SCREwED, AFTER COUNTLESS OF SimU-laTi-n. I SUGGEST THAT WE STAY LOW UNTIL THIS WHOLE DISASTER PASS." answered Saturn with his usual monotonous voice, despite the obvious damage he has suffered from the EMP. Vladimir gave out a sigh of relief. Looks like they still had a chance.

"Saturn! What about the nuclear missile, not the one equipped to the planes, but in the silos? Were they damaged?" Vladimir asked. He knew that none of their missile silos were kept near any of the cities. It would be too dangerous to keep a nuclear missile near civilian population.

"NUCLA-r Missile? I FORGOT A-boUT ThEM. SCAnn-NG NEW D-tA. WE MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE, SIR. THANKS TO YOUR INTELLIGENCE, THE NUCLEAR MISSILE ARE SAFE, BUT NOT ALL. ONLY ONE SILO IS STILL OPERATIONAl. The One th-T Y-ou KEEP IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, THE BOSHUVANIA DESERT." answered Saturn. Vladimir cheered happily in his heart. He knew that the possibility of this country being saved has just rose.

"What about communications? Any still working?" Vladimir asked once more. He hoped it was still operational, for it was the final part of his plan.

"SORRY, Sir. ALL commUnCAtiOn a-e Down. HowEv-r, I heard THAT ThERE are SOme RuriDOvan Soldiers here. If YOu can uploAd Me to One of Their Sy-tem, I miGht be Able To CONNect You to The RuriDovan O-fiCIals." answered Saturn, although understanding him was getting harder and harder. Vladimir knew that the toll of the EMP was having an effect on Saturn. He offed his phone before he hid in the alley. He was going to catch himself a soldier.

Royal Council Chamber, Irming

"Ladys, gentlemen, the world has been thrown into a conflict once more. Acerbic and the Corona are fighting near Locke. And, as our spies are reporting, the ruridovans have dropped EMP's on the boshuvanian cities. So, the only question is, which side we should take.", Queen Valeria told the council.

"What? The International meeting just ended a few days ago and soon they are fighting? Why should they?", Prime Minister Derring asked.

"We don't know there motives, but we know that the Corona has begun a Crusade. More I can't say.", answered Valeria.

"First, we should ask Ruridova why they have dropped EMP's on Boshuvania I suggest.", Admiral Olmenthal proposed.

"I agree in that. We should see then what to do. 'Cause even if we are sending our forces, we shouldn't forget our ideals of keeping peace and freedom. Any objections?", Prime minister Derring asked. No one said anything.

"Then we will send a message to Ruridova as soon as possible. Thank you for your time. I will call you for more discussions once Amelia has returned. You are dismissed.", Queen Valeria closed. They walked all out of the room and Queen Valeria went right into her office. She had a message to send.

To: The Roridovan Commonwealth.
From: Queen Valeria, Queendom of Urenus
Subject: Diplomatic request

It has come to our attention, that the world is again in conflict and that you dropped EMP's on the nation of Boshuvania. We would like to know which reasons you have to take this hostile action Boshuvania. This is just a diplomatic message, so you don't really have to answer this question, but it may lead to wrong thoughts of your motives among our councilors.

Yours sincerely,
Queen Valeria.

Locke

Suddenly, as one soldier put it, 'shit hit the fan'. Some sort of stealth bomber fell from the sky and had a bomb that had nuclear readings. A missile suddenly appeared and blew up somewhere to the North, and the reinforcements had almost arrived. "Wait! Wait! Stop the convoys, what appears to be a nuclear weapon is in the city of Locke. Repeat, nuclear weapon in Locke. Unstable, may detonate. Standby until confirmation." The lead Princeps said into his radio, transmitting to the Acerbic ships.

Aircraft Carrying, ANV Remus

The message from the Locke troops was received, and a signal to stop was sent to all boats. The other boats quickly stopped, and began to wait. "Nuclear weapons. As if this wasn't a shitty enough country." The captain said to himself, as he rechecked the message.

Base Spider
"A nuclear weapon?" Caligula said to Synthesis over the phone.
"Yes, a nuclear weapon. Unstable, not detonated, very bad." Synthesis said to Caligula.
Caligula thought that over. "From?"
"We are not positive yet. Boshuvania seems the best bet. Also, Ruridova just EMP'd them." Said Synthesis
"Well, if it detonates they will be held responsible. Try to make sure it does not detonate, another World War would be bad for business at the moment." Caligula said after viewing company assets and projects. PHALANX Weaponry was not completely updated yet, so a war would not be helpful as of now. Once they had updated the Morsus and Gladius with prototype railguns, and had the Equite's cannon updated it would be best. Oh, and the new Lancea Missile Artillery. That would help.

Alain Shiftwell crawled through an air duct with a regiment of about 30 other men. They had been told to stay in the main room, but had entered a duct system once Lee had left. As he exited the duct in a dark alley, he suddenly heard a voice near. He knew that voice..... who was it.... who..... It suddenly came upon him. He crawled up to a dumpster behind the voice and quietly exited, gesturing to his men to follow him. He put a knife up to the man's throat. He appeared to be holding a cell phone. Alain laughed. "Well, well, well, I never inagined meeting Vlad Jack down in the air ducts. Go figure, eh?" The men laughed stupidly.
"So, trying to restart the generator? Hope you brought enough. Which, judging by the fact you're in dress clothing is probably a no." He took his knife down from Jack's throat and Jack quietly choked out, "Wha- who the hell are you, Ruridovan?" Alain smiled coldly. "Alain Shiftwell, son of Anton Shiftwell, Ruridovan diplomat, delegate to the Marxstadt Meeting of The Nations. I was the second Ruridovan delegate. That's why I knew it was you and not some random hobo." He then called to another soldier, "Jamison! Get Lee on the radio and tell him we found Vlad Jack." He then said to Jack, "Don't worry.

The Office of Commonwealth Chairwoman Madeleine L'Petain
Pfizerort, Neuchatel-Tirolia, Ruridovan Commonwealth

The reasons for the C-bombing/electromagnetic pulsing of Boshuvania are as follows:
-The Boshuvanians, without any sort of provocation, launched a nuclear bomber towards the city of Locke, disputed between Acerbic and The Corona.
-The Island Union Alliance, an alliance between three Ruridovan city-states, had close ties and support from Acerbic, and brought the issue to the council. The Council of the Commonwealth unanaimously voted to strike Boshuvania with EMP devices.
-Not only are Acerbican and Coronian troops in the blast range of the bomber's target, there were also Tekrepolian soldiers coming to the aid of the Coronians. This would have hit soldiers and civilians from three countries, most likely giving the Grand Inquisitor, Caligula, and Eleftherios Hellenus good reason to attack Boshuvania.
-In order to prevent further strikes with minimal civilian losses, we found it necessary to disable the Boshuvanian government and military. Currently soldiers are rounding up the top Boshuvanian officials to get an explaination as to why they launched a nuclear bomber at Locke.
I hope this explains that the "hostile" actions were in fact a peace-keeping move, Queen Valeria.
Sincerely,
Madeleine L'Petain, Chairwoman of the Commonwealth and Prime Minister of the Old Government

Kyrakios Pappas was one of the 350 men originally sent to Locke, along with another 500 reinforcement men. With them had come 200 Leonidis-class tanks, 50 Katharistís-class tanks, 10 Arcángelos-class bombers, 15 Theristís-class bombers, 35 Naïtón-class fighters, and about 50 Kópanos-class artillery pieces. They were approaching Locke when a stealth bomber fell into the city. "Stop!" the commander called. "Let's wait here for the Coronians to tell us what to do."

In the city of Locke, three agents had been. These three were working for the intelligence community, specifically the "Rogues' Guild" Their goal was to keep check on the combatants to see who would be the most worthy of U.S.A.P. support in case the U.S.A.P.'s involvement become necessary, and also gain intelligence on operational capabilities of the potential enemies. These agents had been keeping tabs on the fighting. One was operating on the other end of the city. One of the agents operated alone on assignment, while the other two operated together on the operations. Both had the same safe house in a bombed out apartment complex that they had made their makeshift outpost in. The agents acted with stealth, and intended to remain unspotted. The team had both spotted the bomber coming in with it's payload, and could tell this was a plane belonging to Boshuvania. Something was up, and the intelligence community would be privy to connect the dots as to what was going on. For now, they wanted to see what was in that plane, as it was clearly a long range bomber. The fact it was a single bomber had made them suspicious as to what was being carried on that. They thought it had to be a powerful weapon considering the fact only one was sent. For now, they would just have to monitor communications while they worked their way to the plane to figure out what was happening. The U.S.A.P. was suspicious about what was going on in Boshuvania, for a bomber had come from there and power went out across portions of Boshuvania. The agents there had all necessary technology shielded from E.M.P., and the fact non-shielded technology was out rather than just the power grid tipped them off immediately to the fact an E.M.P. went off. Rogues across the nation soon went on high alert trying to investigate what was happening. One team happened to be stationed near Universe Star, and proceeded to mount an infiltration of the building, some just walking through the gates due to working there as guards. They had heard Ruridovan soldiers, and were going to keep an eye on them in the dark while trying to figure out what had happened seeing as to how the U.S.A.P. had a relevant phrase known as being in the dark.

The Grand Forge

Nuclear material inside Locke. Send all forces to seize said material, will assist in our weapons research.

Tiberius sent to the various Generals and Admirals of the United Naval Forces with that directive. The Corona had been given a gift, and they planned to take it before the parasites in Acerbic or some third party tried to take it. The infantry legions of the Grand Army had been rather demoralized by their failure, even though it was due to a tactical missile. As such, the more intelligent United Naval Forces was doing this operation. While the Grand Army recruited from the fanatical, who were many, the United Naval Forces recruited from the smart, who were much rarer.

Forces:
4th Brigade, 12th Mechanized Infantry Battalion
400 General Riflemen w/ Hornet Assault Rifles
200 Automatic Riflemen w/ Wasp Automatic Rifle
100 Dedicated Marksmen w/ Stinger Battle Rifles
100 Support Gunners w/ Beehive Machine Guns
50 Explosives Handlers w/ Swatter Missile Launchers
200 Lightning Fighting Vehicles

4th Brigade, 6th Armored Assault Battalion
100 Hurricane Amphibious Tanks
20 Earthquake Heavy Tanks
10 Firestorm AA Guns
5 Tornado Tactical Artillery Weapons

TO:
Tekrepolis Leader
FROM:
Corona United Naval Command

BODY:
The Grand Army is currently nursing its wounds, so the United Naval Forces' ground forces are handling this operation. We are attempting to capture the nuclear material. Any and all assistance would be helpful.
