Religion is seen as an obsolete superstition by Sidhae. While not explicitly atheist, Sidh people simply prefer to not concern themselves with things that cannot be proven or debunked by science. Sidhae also see themselves as being on the path to godhood, making religious beliefs of their own even more unnecessary.

The closest thing to religion among Sidhae is the veneration of the Emperor, and by extension, the Empress, which has developed into a quasi-religion of it's own.

The human populations are allowed to practice whatever religions suit their taste. Their Sidh overlords actually approve of religious superstition, because it provides additional ways to oppress humans. Superstitions like Muslim prejudice against pork prove especially useful in suppressing rebellions, such as by tarnishing captured rebels with lard or pig excrement just before execution to deny them afterlife. Of course, replacing human religious authorities with puppets loyal to Imperial authorities is also an effective way to control the humans.

The Greater Pony Herd's national religion is Ponyism. It's followed by the whole population, save for a small percentage, most of that being zebras and buffalos who profess their native faiths and humans who follow earthling religions (mostly Christianity).

The holy chronicles, Nickism, Catholic Christianity and Islam is the largest religions in the federation even if we do have no laws outlawing any religion which means that most religions can be found in the absolute royal federation.

Religion plays little to no part in Tsvarchivan culture, with only about 1% of the population having a faith at all. That said, 1% accounts for over 140.6 million people of faith, with over 10,000 individual faiths represented in Tsvarchi to date.

The Tsvarchivan Bill of Rights guarantees freedom of religion, barring the state or anyone else from restricting the free exercise of any religion, excluding actions which are illegal, and also explicitly bans endorsement of religion, including a national religion, stating that Tsvarchi is a avowedly secular state.

The top three religions in Tsvarchi include Islam, Zoroastrianism, and Sikhism.

Several religions exist in the Iglesian Archipelago, but a relative majority of the population (37%) is atheist as of 2011 estimate. The Iglesian Constitution explicitly prohibits the establishment of a national religion, and says that everyone has the full right to practise their faith (the right to freedom of religion).

We in NaN believe that all living things are part of one being; the Universal Organism or ZoA; that all trees are branches upon one tree, the great tree of life. We also believe that all souls are part of one soul; the soul of the living universe and that, when we die, all of our individual souls are reunited with that soul just as a river returns to the sea.

This belief forms the foundation of our moral code. We respect all living things (all people and all within nature), for all are a part of our god and, just as every cell is born to serve the body, so every denizen of NaN serves the greater good.

Religion in Saurusia

Postby Saurusia » Tue Oct 25, 2011 9:55 am

Approximately 66% of our population is at least nominally Roman Catholic. However, only a small percentage attends church regularly, and most do not agree with official Church teaching on birth control, homosexuality, and abortion.

Most of the remaining two-thirds of the population is split almost evenly between Evangelical Lutherans and members of Reformed Church. There are also small groups of Jews and Muslims, and quite a few declare no religious preference (including those who identify as atheist, agnostic, or secular humanist).

Although the monarchy is Roman Catholic, the 1961 Constitution disestablished the Roman Catholic Church as the state church, guaranteed complete separation of church and state, and provided for complete religious freedom.

Most Meridians are Eudaimonists, which is actually a nontheistic philosophy, so it might not seem like a religion to some people.

Some are Epicureans. Godlike beings exist elsewhere in the universe, but they are so perfect that they are entirely uninterested in human affairs.

Some are believers in the Great Cthulhu, which they take to be a god. However, most Meridians just regard Cthulhu as a space alien, and don't think that his destruction of Earth society in 2166 represents any sort of divine justice.

The Decepticon Empire's only religion is Machinism, which holds that the Machine and Computing Spirits favor us as the perfect beings thanks to our flawless blending of the two attributes. These Spirits are not considered to be more powerful than us in the way humans think of most of their deities. Instead, they're benevolent, pro-robot, spirits that can help those they like. They're more powerful than a single average guy, and spiritual nature allows them to help in ways that a Decepticon couldn't, since they are not subject to the limitations of being completely corporeal.

Most Decepticons, however, believe in Science(!) and have retained only a few spiritual practices. These practices, which include things like what we do with our dead, are so ingrained in society that most don't even think of their religious origins.

Most citizens in Ayralef that are not atheist practice minor shamanist pagan religions, with the exception of the muslim minority arount the hisoric homeland of the country (hence why Ayralef is called a sultanate)

Most... sentient beings on the planet followed the same pagan religion that worshiped a unified pantheon of physical gods that watched over the land, but their nature of destroying any civilization more civilized than a city state forced the best of Ayralef's mages to destroy the gods, leaving the land without magic in the process. Since then, Ayralef has been the scientific, secular, mostly atheist nation it is now.

Because of two past religious civil wars between the eastern orthodoxy and the islamic peoples of the nation,The armed republic of katyuscha has banned all forms of religion. They destroyed all places of worship in the nation and imprisoned and/or executed all religious figures in the nation. Control over the nation often switches between arabic and Slavic leaders who, even though are part of the same party, often do not agree with each other.
