The Republican Debate Tonight

Postby Jedi8246 » Thu Sep 22, 2011 5:15 pm

Since no one else has yet, I thought I would.

This is going to be a critical debate for the Republican candidates. Whether the liberal majority here likes it or not, Obama's approval ratings have gone smack down. All sample polls call for a Republican candidate beating OBama. The only problem is that none of the candidates beat Obama individually. This debate can help showcase someone who could become a front runner.

The only question is, who?

Rick Perry will provide a strong showing, I think. Michelle Bachmann is gonna go down the drain, and I will not bear to listen to Ron Paul. His last performance at the debate: :palm:
If you think I'm coming back, don't hold your breath.

:eyebrow: How many debates have they had now? I mean, one is good, two is okay, but three? That's more than a little unnecessary, in my mind.

In any case, won't be watching it. Largely because Fox doesn't broadcast in Canada, and I have really no interest in putting the effort into trying to stream it.

Didn't we already have like 3 or 4 front runners? They need to return them to factory; obviously these candidates are defective.

As a Ron Paul supporter I feel I must express my outrage at what you have said.
As someone who also saw him speak at the last debate, I must sadly agree with you.
I like Ron Paul and a majority of his ideas, but he's getting into rambly less-than-fully-articulate old-age territory, which saddens me.
However, at least this debate will have Gary Johnson to take up the banner!

Well, I support the Democrats more than the Republicans, but if a Republican had to win, I'd want it to be Ron Paul. First off, he's Libertarian, and secondly, he's not totally stupid.

Some of his ideas are great, others I completely dislike. But perhaps I'm a bit biased because I'd rather have a young candidate than someone old?

Very true. Dr Paul needs to use this debate wisely.

What time is it starting and ending, and on what channels is it airing? I want to hear any mentions about social issues, as thats all I really look for in Republicans any more.

8 minutes until it starts, I can't wait. These debates make me so happy about 2012 and the election. For some reason, I enjoy election time.

So long as Michelle Bachmann get's beaten to a bloody pulp, I'm happy.
I'm not American but, as far as I can tell, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul are the only decent ones among the Republicans, and I hope the Democrats are not stupid enough to give Obama the OK for a reelection campaign.
