Referendum for Independance of Rennebourg Passed; Grand Duchy formed.

At 4:57 local time, the Parliment of Rennebourg signed the final referendum for independance. The old Marquis De Rennebourg has been declared the Grand Duke of Rennebourg. The new government is convening currently for the Constitutional Convention.

McConia, as you may wish to know, has a form of semi-constitutional Monarchy where I hold many powers, but as most monarchs are these days. limited by our constitution, The Imperial Charter. "Bonjour Flight Control La Marquis, Imperial Courier requesting Permission to land." said Imperial Pilot Jeanne Bourough as he slowly began the descent onto a sprawling city that must have been the capital of the Grand Duchy. The aging man flipped on the intercom button and announced to the crew and Royalty aboard the Boeing 747. "Attention Majesty and crew, we are beginning our descent onto the beautiful city of Rennebourg(?), current temperature is is 72 degrees Fahrenheit and clear skies."

Meanwhile, in the Royal Cabin, two middle aged McConians were preparing themselves for the upcoming diplomacy and celebration. One, was L'Empereur, Jonathan McNall, and his beautiful bride, Her Majesty Mina McNall. An aide of hers finished assorting her beautiful auburn hair into a traditional style. He had just finished changing into a black suit, draped with a Royal Tunic, a traditional silver crown resting on his now fading brown hair.
"My Love, you are ready?" The Empress said with her slight McConian French accent.
"Oui, Oui m'aime!" He said.
Half an hour later...

The ornate steps leading down the Imperial Courier's exterior was packed with a half dozen Paladins dressed in their stunning dress uniforms, all brandishing beautiful, but still deadly Tar-21 assault rifles. Then, came a team of diplomats, aides, and assistants. Finally, The two most powerful and well known people in McConia gracefully strutted out the exit. Another half dozen paladins, then the doors closed.
The entire procession politely waited on the tarmac awaiting their gracious hosts.

A small group of soldiers dressed in similar fashion to French Foreign Legionaires approached the Emporer's party. They bowed, and escorted them to the vast entry hall of the airport. Inside, it was like the palace at versailles, but of course smaller. The choir began singing in Latin of peace and unity. The Duke stood with his ministers, an Archbishop, generals, and various guards. He bowed, first to the Empress then to the Emporer. " Greeting your majesty, and welcome tomy country."

The Duke escorted the monarchs to a private tram. The tram tooj them through the picturesque city to the Duke's palace. Upon entering, they were greeted by Duchess Calliste, the Duke's wife. The curtsied to the royals and Introduced herself formally in Middle French (the French of the high Middle Ages).

The Royals responded to the greeting with an equally as appropriate response, a curtsy and a slight bow. The Emperor didn't easily recognize what dialect the Duchess was speaking, but he assumed it was some Rennebourg dialect or maybe an older form.
The Emperor responded by introducing his wife and he in French," Bonjour Duchesse, It is a blessing to meet you. Your husband does not exaggerate on your beauty." The Emperor said smiling sincerely.
