Don't kill them, dont remove limbs.
Cuz if they don't have hands, then how will we win?
If out they should be for 2 days or more,
tg me first to avoid a war.
Godmodding is fine, but beware
ill do it to, and i can be a scare.

A Brief History:
After debuting in a series of regional friendlies, Chetkosk began their international football career with a spirited but flawed appearance at the 43rd Baptism of Fire - though many claim Chetkosk's downfall was partly due to an unlucky draw against the tougher half of the tournament, manager Byshovetsiy is quick to claim the majority of the faults lie with his decisions, eventually resulting in the Puffins crashing out in the quarter-finals. Following this partial success the exact same squad went on to shock pundits worldwide as Chetkosk performed above and far, far beyond what was expected of them in the qualifying campaign of the 56th World Cup. The Puffins are one of only a select handful of nations to have ever qualified for the World Cup finals on their first attempt.

The squad's qualification was a just reward for topping the group ahead of highly favoured Tretskivucia and fellow BoF competitors Southern Cynocephali and, although they were outperformed by a large margin in the group stage of the finals, Chetkosk came away with heads held high for they had already achieved more than they had ever hoped. Now, in the next instalment of this most prestigious sporting tournament, the Puffins hope to repeat the success of the last competition.

They have new players, new tactics, new staff and new kits - but it is quite safe to say that Chetkosk are no longer a team to underestimate...

Main Staff:
Manager: BYSHOVETSIY, Yevgeni - Aged 52
Yevgeni Abram Byshovetsiy took the role of managing Chetkosk's national team after being forced to leave the domestic club CSKA Tomska. Most of his critics were silenced by his performance during Chetkosk's Baptism of Fire campaign, but it wasn't until a stunning qualifying effort lead to the Puffins reaching the finals of the 56th World Cup that he well and truly demonstrated his ability to successfully manage the national squad. Yevgeni is a sly tactician, has a loud and powerful character and is fully prepared to think outside the box to form new strategies.

Assistant: GRUSCHMAN, Pyotr - Aged 32
Pyotr Gruschman has an extra-ordinary talent for administration - he takes care of red tape and paperwork so Byshovetsiy doesn't have to (nor does he ever want to). Although he is far less extravertive compared to his superior, he always makes sure he is heard on the rare occasions that he does speak before the team, and his words carry many years of combined knowledge and wisdom in the sport.

Head Coach: TOLSCHTIYK, Vladim - Aged 41
Vladim Tolschtiyk is a retired player who spent the last six years of his career with CFR Dynamo Vilychek. He regularly works as a guest lecturer in Sports and Physiological Science at many Chetkoski universities and he demands a high level of knowledge and ability in his coaching staff. Vladim is adept at noticing psychological and physiological problems in the players well ahead of time - his reports of squad fitness, form and morale are rarely anything but accurate.

Squad:
GK: SCHERBAK, Anatoli - #1 - aged 21 - Atlético Central (Cafundéu)
50 caps
Scherbak won himself a place on the starting lineup through some excellent performances in the Baptism of Fire, and has taken on the number one goalkeeping role from Vasili Opuytsk following his recent retirement. His ability to dive in peculiar directions in a split second make him an ideal international goalkeeper, and following World Cup 56 he secured a transfer to Cafundéu. He is a rising star, but is prone to small, recurring injuries that remove him from action for a game at a time.

LB: KASAEV, Diniyar - #2 - aged 29 - Grêmio Lux (Cafundéu)
52 caps
Kasaev used to be starting left back for CSKA Tsaritin Saints, a club that regularly enjoys a top five finish in the Chetkoski domestic league. He was also transferred to Cafundéu after World Cup 56, and the Saints' left defence has looked weaker ever since. He is a solid player and his foul tally is one of the lowest in the squad, but he is notorious for his inability to cure his pungent foot smell post game.

CB: MOSTOVOI, Igor - #3 - aged 33 - PSV Stavropol
53 caps, 2 goals
Mostovoi is a key utility player, both for the national team and for his club, and has played in every international game for Chetkosk so far. He regularly traverses into midfield territory and can usually be trusted to place himself where he is required the most - thus he had earned the nickname "omnipresent". On occasions he has managed to score in crucial games, after moving up for a corner kick. He has stated that World Cup 57 will be his second and last for Chetkosk, but is expected to continue to serve the team as a defensive coach.

RB: SMERTIN, Anton - #5 - aged 31 - Zenit Berlinengrad
53 caps
Smertin has become a Chetkoski legend as he seems to be immune to injury. His form is excellent, a relic of his second love (long distance running) and thus he has very good stamina and can be counted upon to give his all until he is taken off the pitch. Anton takes pleasure in showing up the rest of the team in training and pushes them to keep going for as long as he can. His peak physical condition likely means he will be able to continue to play well into his thirties - good news for the Puffins.

LM: BORODIUK, Nikolai - #6 - aged 32 - PSV Stavropol
53 caps, 12 goals
Nikolai has the most accurate shot from a dead ball in the squad, and as such is designated most of the free kick opportunities. However, his strengths lie not only in shooting from stationary, but also in picking out crosses with high balls. He has recently enjoyed much praise following PSV Stavropol's arrival in the group stage of the UICA TQCC, and is unlikely to be released any time soon. Looking ahead to his retirement, Nikolai is adamant that he train up a replacement kick taker for when he leaves the squad.

CM: VORONIN, Marko - #7 - aged 30 - Real Luagarica (San Vicente Lagoon)
51 caps, 2 goals
Voronin is an accomplished sportsman, playing for the largest club in San Vicente Lagoon, and inspired his younger brother to follow him into the professional sporting world - though his brother is a rugby man. Marko has been plagued with groin injuries in the past, and it was questionable whether or not he would play for much longer, but his current form looks hopeful.

CM: HEIMPFEL, Sebastien - #8 - aged 31 - Red Star Kemenovsk FC
53 caps, 6 goals
Heimpfel wears the captain's armband, and for good reason - his mind is calm and tactical throughout a match and his voice carries across the pitch despite not being particularly loud. A steadfast and reliable player, Byshovetsiy is dependant on him to carry his plan onto the field of play.

RM: SIMIERTINO, Alexey - #9 - aged 27 - Primorsky Cape FC
52 caps, 2 goals
Alexey was originally a relatively unknown member of the starting lineup until his domestic team won the previous season's playoff and were promoted to the premier league. He has enjoyed a step up in his media coverage since then, and has not yet tired of the invasion into his private life. According to Alexey, the highlight of his career was his single international goal scored at home.

AM: KURZHAKOV, Roman - #10 - aged 24 - TSG Krasnonar
43 caps, 4 goals
Roman has taken the place of Chetkoski legend Nico Tussak in attacking midfield, and has thus far made a superb job of filling his boots. He is not afraid to run the entire pitch several times over if he has to, and can cause a hinderance to the opposing team by being in places they don't expect him to be. Through his energetic efforts each game Roman has become an attractive target for foreign transfer.

ST: TORBINSKIY, Vyacheslav - #11 - aged 29 - Angels (Kagdazka & Pazhujebu)
53 caps, 29 goals
Torbinskiy is by far the most accomplished goal scorer on the Chetkoski starting lineup. His finishing is magnificent and he always puts on a show with his acrobatic celebrations. His recent move to Kagdazka & Pazhujebu has seen him drop off the media radar somewhat, but he is much happier there than he ever was at CFR Zolchora City and has had enough of being a big fish in a small pond. Recent experiments with new formations have proven Torbinskiy plays just as well with a striking partner as he does on his own.

CF: PUZIN, Tomislav - #22 - aged 23 - Oransberg St. Thunder FC
33 caps, 8 goals
Puzin is a solid striking talent that found his way into high level football with the AZS Kemenovsk Rangers' highly successful grass roots programme. His recent move to premier league club Oransberg St. Thunder has thrust him into the limelight and he is considered a strong candidate for a starting forward in the near future.

Default 3-5-2 Formation:

Reserve:
GK: DOLGONOSOV, Nikolev - #20 - aged 23 - FC Kedesk Harbour
0 caps
Dolgonosov performs well when facing penalties due to his ability to keep and calm and cool head.

GK: GABULOV, Denis - #23 - aged 28 - Zenit Berlinengrad
1 cap
Gabulov remains the third choice goalkeeper despite his experience over the younger Scherbak.

CB: ONOPKO, Aleksandr - #4 - aged 26 - FKM (Kagdazka & Pazhujebu)
45 caps
Aleksandr is a fairly new addition to the squad but has already made a mark with his great height towering over the other players and dominating the penalty box. His long stride ensured he can get back to defend against all but the fastest of breaks, though he does have a tendency to play people on-side. Aleksandr is desperate to move to a larger club, but few Chetkoski teams have paid him much attention.

CB: BESCHASTYN, Vladimir - #16 - aged 26 - Torpedo Yaroslavl
36 caps
Beschastyn is seen in many ways as Mostovoi's apprentice. He admires the older player and aspires to be as vital to the team as Igor is now.

LB: BYKO, Arkady - #12 - aged 19 - San Llorenç FC (San Vicente Lagoon)
12 caps
Byko is a new young talent who already has experience playing abroad. His tackles are hard, but usually accurate.

RB: MAKHSENEV, Viktor - #18 - aged 22 - CSKA Tomska
28 caps
Makhsenev is a young player who has great pace and speed along the wing.

CM: KARPIN, Sergei - #21 - aged 32 - Baltika Bashkan FC
31 caps
Sergei has a very good arm for long throws and is also good at heading when he is on the receiving end of them.

CM: OBSTANTOV, Georgi - #13 - aged 27 - CSKA Tsaritin Saints
40 caps, 1 goal
This centre midfielder takes a long time to break form - whether it's good form or bad.

LM: TSARAPKIN, Iosif - #19 - aged 23 - Cap Nordique (Cotdelapoms)
15 caps
Tsarapkin adds a utility element to the midfield, and is also seen as Borodiuk's apprentice. His talent for dead balls allows the elder player to perform roles he normally misses out on.

DM: KONDRATENKO, Lev - #15 - aged 22 - AIK Vilnosnyvetzsny Ice
11 caps
Kondratenko is a relatively new addition to the squad, bringing a strong tactical mind that is very useful in his position as a defensive midfielder.

ST: KOKORIN, Artur - #17 - aged 31 - CFR Dynamo Vilychek
20 caps
Following a complicated ankle operation, Kokorin made his return to the world of professional football and strives to earn many more caps before ending his career.

RF: ANYUKOV, Joachim - #14 - aged 25 - Racing Club Liyakovski
15 caps
Anyukov is a heavy, bulky individual whose strength in his foot more than makes up for his slow running speed.

Venue For Home Games:

An introduction to the staff

The FSSO team manager is 44 year old Ben Randall. Randall has overseen all of the FSSO’s World Cups so far, and is under pressure to secure qualification this time around with a very strong squad. Despite criticism and accusations of indecisiveness, the public view of Randall is mostly positive; especially because of his influence on the redevelopment of youth football in the FSSO.

His 37 year old assistant Dimitri Campbell, who has been assistant manager for two years, is a recent addition to the coaching staff and a welcomed one. Other staff include head coach Jon Cofely, head physio Robert Pear and of course the FSSO national team mascot, Fuzzy the Deadpan Snarker.

Team Cosumar - World Cup 57

Basic Team Information

Nation: The Fiefdom of Cosumar
Nickname: Dragons
Colors: Navy and Silver

Stadium: Leviathan Arena
Capacity: 99,114
Location: Kaldukosk, Cosumar
Image

Experience: This will be Cosumar's 7th World Cup. Cosumar qualified and advanced past group stage for the past three World Cups (54-56), including a trip to the Final 16 in World Cup 56. This recent success has boosted Cosumar's ranking to an all time high at 13th in the world.

Ranking: #13

Team: The roster consists of 20 players, 17 of which are human. The remaining 3 are Vloo, a human-like species native to Cosumar. This Cosumarite team has older starters than most past years, but has many young reserves.

More About Vloo: Vloo are nearly equal to humans in terms of strength and speed, but are slightly taller on average and have blue-tainted skin and two small horns on the top of their head. Most Vloo's horns are covered by their hair, which is black.

Formation: 4-2-4

The Starting XI

GK Pablo Reyes (29)
In the last five years, Reyes has emerged as one of the true stars of the Fiefdom Soccer Federation as the goalie for Mallox. Reyes is an extremely gifted athlete with excellent body control, a level head, and exceptional instinctive reflexes. After one Cup as a reserve, this will be Reyes' first Cup as starting goalkeeper.

DF William Riley (28)
Riley came straight out of high school to play professional football 10 years ago and had no trouble playing with the cream of the crop. A decade later, Riley has emerged as the international face of Cosumarite football. He is without a doubt one of the most skilled defencemen the Fiefdom has ever produced. He is a tad undersized but makes up for it with unmatched speed, vision, and footwork. He has received offers from clubs in multiple international leagues, but has opted to stay in Cosumar. Riley is, at the moment, the most talented on the team at his position and will serve as Team Captain for this World Cup.

DF Kennedy Kopenhaver (35)
Kopenhaver is infamous in Cosumar for being one of the most passionate and fiery players the game has ever seen. He'll stop it nothing to win, even if it means a red card, which he receives all too often. Nonetheless, he is an extraordinary talent. Despite getting a little bit long in the tooth, Kopenhaver has not lost a step and is as vivacious on defense as he was a decade ago. It takes a lot to get a goal in past Kopenhaver.

DF Cedir Na'Draughn (26)
After a surprisingly impressive debut as a starter in World Cup 56, Na'Draughn returns to the Dragons' starting line-up for World Cup 57. He is also one of the three Vloo members on the team. Na'Draughn is an intimidating figure at nearly 6"4, with some great moves and phenomenal endurance.

DF Gundar Umpton (25)
Umpton made his debut in World Cup 55 as a reserve, and saw increased playing time in World Cup 56. He was a shoe-in for the starting XI this time around. Umpton has finally developed into a mature and well-rounded player and is in his prime years. His biggest strenths are his powerful leg and good vision of the field.

MF Abel Scarloff (22)
Scarloff elected to immediately jump to professional soccer after high school and was a reserve on the WC56 team at age 18. Although he is young, he is highly skilled and has received much hype from Cosumarite media - due to both his play in the FSF as well as his game-winning goal in WC56. The departure of the legendary Irvinn Rincon has left a huge hole for Cosumar at the midfielder position - one that Scarloff will hopefully be able to fill with time.

MF Brian Emerson (31)
Emerson is the smallest player on the team at 5"8, however, he makes up for it for being deceptively quick and physical. He is also one of the most intelligent athletes on the roster and always finds ways to trick unaware opponents and exploit weaknessses. At 31, this is his fourth and final World Cup with the team.

FW Rikki Varshney (32)
Even at 32, Varhsney is still probably Cosumar's greatest asset. He has led the team in goals in every World Cup he has participated in, and made the all-AO team. He knows how to put the ball in the goal, and will find the net in almost every game. Although he plays in the Cafundeu domestic system, Varshney is a patriotic Cosumarite and is desperate for World Cup triumph.

FW Luke Crisalus (29)
Luke Crisalus is Cosumarite royalty, little brother of the Baroness of Crisalus Fief. He is also nephew of the Chiefess of Foreign Relations. His high-up government connections are not the sole reason he is on the team, however, as he was Cosumar's second leading scorer in World Cups 55 and 56. He is a crafty player and who excels in creating good shots for himself out of nothing. Although he often misses critical passes, his scoring ability is second to none but Varshney.

FW Corey Simmons (26)
This will be Simmons' second World Cup (after an impressive World Cup 56 as a reserve) but inexperience is not an issue. He has been Kaldukosk FC's leading scorer for 4 seasons and should quickly become one of the most feared strikers on the Cosumarite squad. He has been criticized for being a detriment to the team's locker room atmosphere at times, but his lightning-quick speed and brute force are elite.

FW Fobi Na'Leus (29)
Na'Leus, a Vloo, is the second of three non-humans on the team. He did not see much play time in the last World Cup, but has earned a starting spot due to what the coaches have called "exceptional hard work and remarkable improvement." Na'Leus has the athleticism and ball-handling skills to thrive in this role, but must strive to avoid the bone-headed decisions and poor awareness problems that were his downfall in the last World Cup.

The Reserves

GK Tomi Koskinen (18)
This year, Koskinen has emerged as one of the best young stars in Cosumar. At only 18 years old, he dominated Cosumar's collegiate league by allowing only 0.4 goals per game. He has speedy reflexes like you've never seen before, but is a bit inexperienced. He is poised to take the starting goalie position in the future if he has a successful outing in this World Cup. He has declared for the FSF(which begins after the World Cup) so many scouts will be watching him.

DF Thomas Hair (34)
Hair is a quiet man who truly comes alive on the field. His speed is average and has begun to further decline with age, but he consistently displays excellent footwork and awareness skills. He is also known for being a selfless player, always finding the right man to pass to. Hair was a team captain for this past two World Cups. At age 34, he now has the responsibility of mentoring the younger players and providing valuable reserve play.

DF Tae Woo Miyori (19)
Miyori is another young star with a bright future in Cosumarite football. Miyori beat out Novamo (a starter in WCs 54 and 55, and a reserve in WC 56) to make the team. His best attribute is his speed. Miyori is currently the fastest player on the team. Hair has taken Miyori under his wing. Miyori will not play much, but this Cup will be a valuable learning experience for him.

DF Alexander Pearce (21)
Pearce would have recently completed his final year of college, but he elected to immediately jump to professional soccer after high school and has been a member of the Cosumar National Team since age 18. Pearce looks poised to become the next William Riley. Although he is young, he is just as skilled as anyone else on the team and has received much hype from Cosumarite media. Being a reserve in this World Cup will be another valuable learning experience for Pearce.

MF Henry Kueler (26)
Henry Kueler is the little brother of Geoff Kueler, a hall-of-fame gaelic football player. Like his elder brother, Henry is gifted athletically. He has been an all-star midfielder in the FSF for three years straight as a member of the successful OAS Royal FC. This is his first time to make it on to the World Cup team and will be a valuable asset - aging Emerson can not play as many minutes as he once could.

MF Giovanni Aldinne (20)
Aldinne recently completed his senior year of high school, and elected to immediately jump to professional football. Aldinne, like his cousin Francois Renault, is an extremely promising young prospect who the coaches hope will be a vital part of Cosumar's future. World Cup 57 will be a chance for him to get a taste of the cream of the crop and further hone his skills.

FW Francois Renault (19)
Renault recently completed his senior year of high school, and elected to immediately jump to professional football. Renault, like his cousin Giovanni Aldinne, is an extremely promising young prospect who the coaches hope will be a vital part of Cosumar's future. World Cup 57 will be a chance for him to get a taste of the cream of the crop and further hone his skills.

FW Kalvin Feldman (33)
Feldman was a reserve in World Cup 53 at age 19 and in World Cup 54 at age 21. In the last World Cup, however, Manager Crowley took a gamble and moved young Feldman to the starting XI. Feldman did not disappoint and nearly matched Luke Crisalus' goal total. At age 25, Feldman is still young and very quick despite his stocky stature. He has excellent aim when shooting on the goal.

FW Ejegefe Na'Safeh (17)
Ejegefe Na'Safeh (pronounced: Eh-hey-heff-eh, Nah-Soff-eh) is a young football phenomenon from the remote Na'Malsile Isles of Cosumar. Na'Leus serves as Na'Safeh's mentor, as Na'Safeh is a young talent that needs much guidance. Na'Safeh is inconsistent and erratic, at times magnificent and at times sloppy. He will not play much in this World Cup.

Coaching Staff and Team Captains

Manager: Farris Crowley

After a phenomenal debut as Manager in World Cup 54, and an even more impressive efforts in World Cups 55 and 56, Farris Crowley has returned to lead the Dragons towards greatness in World Cup 57. Crowley was a somewhat successful player in Cosumar's domestic league many years ago and has since taken to coaching. He is currently 49 years of age and has a very stoic personality most of the time.

Assistant Manager: Bernard Hotheryo

This is Hotheryo's first World Cup as Assistant Manager. He recently coached for Cosumar in the 32nd AOCAF. World Cup Assistant Manager Randy Lewis was slated to coach the team in this Cup, but recently resigned. Hotheryo has been a successful Manager for Cosumarite Sekundar Ligan club Pelethas United for 17 years. Hotheryo is 53 years old.

Team Captain: William Riley
Defenders' Captain: William Riley
Midfielders' Captain: Brian Emerson
Forwards' Captain: Rikki Varshney

These are Cosumar's uniforms for World Cup 57, made for the team by Barrengeka Kits of Astograth. The uniform has been applauded by fans and the media, featuring Cosumar's national colors: silver and navy blue as well as the Cosumarite Azure Dragon, the symbol of Cosumar. The keeper's uniform is gold and green, the royal family's colors. They are the same kits the team used in World Cup 56.

Team Mapletish World Cup 57

Image

A third place finish for Mapletish for the Baptism Of Fire 44 recently was what it seems,a streak of pure luck for the ambitious Mapletish side having overcome challenges that have come in their way.Apart from keeping part of the BoF44 squad,Sir Strellas Billy also introduced other Mapletish Premier League players into the squad.A debate on whether to participate in the World Cup was debated in The Ministry Of Sports and Youth Development Chamber before Mapletish signed up and also the Mapletish Sports Ferderation and Mapletish Football Association took part in the debate. In the end,the debate ends with a vote of 90% of the votes passed on to the application for the World Cup and Baptism Of Fire against 8% and 2% neutral.Mapletish will look to faced any of the Baptism Of Fire teams that Mapletish encountered in the World Cup espically Arcatea,in which Mapletish finished off in the 1st match and the Quarter Finals.Mapletish also looks to remember their ally Matting by taking part in the World Cup.

This years Kazzorian side will consist entirely of Kazzorian and Egyptian deities. Why? Because they met at a pub and found each other bearable, the Kazzorians also knew that they could enter the world cup under the Kazzorian team name, a great oppertunity for some out of work deities. They can't be any worse than the last team that consisted of imaginary friends. Anyway not like anyone with power cares, the few fans are mostly fat angry people who like dark places. That and the two people who turn up to matches (were are not sure if they were mentally ill or just extremely confused). So here is the managers and such:

The person in charge of the team is the Egyptian king of gods Ra. He will be assisted by the Kazzorian god of controlling people Collin (all the Kazzorian gods have names taken from Seventies men, literally. They hunt them down steal their names and leave them nameless.) The Coaches are the Egptian gods Nut and Geb. And without further ado (excluding this bracket and the previous clause) here is the squad:

Starters in bold
Subs in Italics

Postby Swartaz » Wed Oct 19, 2011 7:55 am

Swartaz roster Copa Rushmori VI

Goalkeepers

1. Karl JAMESSON (Sub) (Vaastrada FC) Age: 23

Karl has quickly broken into the Vaastrada first team despite his tender age with some great displays of brilliant acrobatical goalkeeping. Certainly one to watch if you want exitement, but his ability to stick on his line when needed to has been called into question

23. Vanger HANDORLINK (Starter) (Volerander FC) Age: 38

Vanger is Swartaz's mainstray in the goal, with unrivalled consistency in shot stopping. When he came into the team aged 19 and stole Byron Jansuur's place, his main asset was his speed off the line, and he still demonstrates this skill to this day. At 3, he isn't the youngest, and this should be his last world cup cycle. He'll be looking to go out with a bang.

99. Kimi Kalssön (Res) (IFK Göteborg) Age: 22

IFK Göteborg's starting goalkeeper for the last few years, the 23 year old six and a half footer has recieved universal plaudits from pundits for him calm and composed performances first in the A Lig, and in the most recent Di Bradini cup. A possible race for the number 1 shirt next world cup with Jamesson is on the cards.

Defence

2. Henrik OTTO (Starter) (Eldorado) (Cafundeu) Age: 35

Henrik is the perfect right back in Swartaz's attacking system. He gets up and down the right wing all day effortlessly, with breathtaking speed and stamina, and a handy knack of scoring goals from outside the area just at the right time. Playing in Cafundeu has also helped is all round game, especially defensively, and he is now able to hold his own down the wing against the worlds best.

5. Fredrik GAISBAN (Starter) (Montréal) (Cotdelapoms) Age: 27

Fredrik burst onto the international scene a few years ago in place of struggling now retired Kristan Alvar and has never looked back. Capable of some massive tackles, creator of many a counter attack with his long balls, and his ability on the ball, he has been described as the playmaker stuck in defence, but defence is his calling.

4. Hugo LUKAS (Starter) (Rigdemont Town) (Queer Poco el Mono Ara) Age: 33

Hugo's style of play is similar to Fredrik's, but he has two distinct advantages. One, he is faster, capable of staying with the fastest of strikers. And two, his height (6"6) enables him to clear balls that Gaisban simply cannot get to. Despite starting to get on slightly these days, he has stayed clear of injury and still has the speed he possessed ten years ago, while having massively grown in experience.

29. Olof GÅSSENT (Starter) (Groubeschwellei FC) Age: 20

Olof was a bit of an unknown quantity in the centre of the defence. All that changed when his left footed-ness became needed at left back for Groubeschwellei, and he showed that he had the potential to be one of the A Lig's best full backs. Throwing the 20 year old into the first team at this stage is a gamble, but buoyed by his big money move to mega rich Mauntenböurg, he has the ability to be brilliant in games to come.

27. Janek PIDULSKI (Sub) (IFK Goteborg) Age: 26

Janek's versitility has allowed him to become more of a fixture in the Swartaz squad in recent years. He doesn't particually excel in any area, but he is the perfect player to bring in anywhere in the defence, or even midfield, if injuries hit.

12. Henrik LITREMMEN (res) (Jan Mayen Islanders) Age: 22

Henrik, son of inspirational ex-captain Jans, has been thrown straight from the U-21 team into this world cup cycle. Swartaz's stand out player in the 17th Di Brandini cup, he has a lot of expectation on is shoulders coming up in the next few years, but he should be able to confidently handle it with his undoubted ability.

30. Vaarger JASMEIKAEIL (res) (AFC Tranzversa) Age: 31

Not really much to say about Vaarger, an average at best full back for international standards, but he does his job well at AFC and is ready to be called upon when needed.

Midfield

11. Karl JASIN (Starter) (A.F.F) (Cafundeu) Age: 27

Karl was the definitive 'wonderkid' of World Cup 52 with abundant energy and creativity down the right side and has carried on his amazing play throughout his career thus far. The only non-Swartazian born on the team, he is still as passionate about the team as any. A regular at Cafundeu club A.F.F, he has shown his promise in the domestic scene too.

6. Johan HESSE (Starter) (Tout-Puissant Outremont) (Cotdelapoms) CAPTAIN Age: 33

The monster of the centre midfield is Johan Hesse, capable of dispossesing even the cockiest and cleverist playmakers. Couple that with his top class passing ability and vision, you have the perfect holding midfileder. He also writes a very successful blog about his on and off field endevours.

8. Marko KRIVAC (Starter) (Jan Mayen Islanders) (Polar Islandstates) Age: 29

his brilliant energetic and skillful playmaking in the attacking midfielder role make Marko a joy to watch, and he is adored by players and fans alike. He's also capable of scoring from long range and in his element with the ball at his feet just outside the opposision box, he is arguably the reason Swartaz won the Cup of Harmony a few years back.

17. Josef GUNNARSSON (Sub) (Olympic Thessia) (Mytannion) Age: 22

Josef has taken the Mytannion domestic scene by storm this season with his brilliant and eccentric attacking play and love of fan pleasing. He'll be a real hidden weapon in the team having snatched a well deservered starting place, and will be looking to make a great impact in his first Copa Rushmori.

16. Adolph KANNESBOURG (Sub) (Juvillian Martinax) (Erathore) Age: 26

Kannesbourg has thrived since making the move to Erathore, really showing a great deal of his undoubted potential. However, if he is to continue his career problem free, he must make sure he is not inticed into anything to 'exotic' by team-mates or friends ever again, lest it blow up in his face as badly as it did last time again.

27. Alex FREJ (Sub) (Celtic) (Cotdelapoms) Age: 38

Frej had finally burst into the first team after many a World Cup quitely making the odd substitute appearance, and maybe scoring the odd goal. At 38 he needs to make up for lost time quickly and get some goals and assists under his belt. However, with the rise of Josef Gunnarsson, he may be forced to call it a day sooner rather than later.

37. Mikael JOHANNES (Res) (Vaastrada FC) Age: 23

Mikael is another creative master, who excels with the ball at his feet, but is let down by a lack of speed or strength, both of which are essential at this level.

25. Yngve SXER (Res) (Volerander FC) Age: 34

A career wrecked by injury is the story here, but is capable of mesmerising displays of football on his day.

Strikers
20. Wilhelm Berghoff (Starter) (East Franz Athletic) (Polar Islandstates) Age: 26

Wilhelm was promoted to the squad after Kimi Linissön's untimely death halfway through WC 55 qualifying. He had a brilliant season last year up front at AFC Tranzversa with Janni Milverki, and he was rewarded with a move to big Polar Islandstates club East Franz Athletic. His dazzling displays in the most recent Copa Rushmori were enough to get him promoted to the first team for this World Cup, in Klum's expense.

9. Olec DASRA (Starter) (Vaastrada FC) on loan from FKM (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu) Age: 24

Olec must be one of the greatest but least consistent strikers in world football. With the whole of Swartaz on his shoulders, he carries the Dasra name well on the pitch, with all the confidence and ability of his late father. When on form, he just cannot be stopped. He can score from just about anywhere, and in a variety of different fashions. Off form however, he is hotheaded, agitated and generally needs to have a bit of a cool off to get him back to his world beating talent.

10. Benidikt KLUM (Sub (Volerander FC) Age: 31

Benidikt is Mr. Reliable up front, with speed, strength and goalscoring ability all combining to make the perfect target man. Not as extravagant or exiting as Dasra, he is undoubtedly more consistent and when on form is unstoppable, for club and country, the striker spearheading the exiting Volerander FC front line .

39. Konstantin BRITA (Res) (Cosmopolitan) (Cotdelapoms) Age: 38

The controversial international career of Swartaz's arguably second best (or dare we say it) best striker of all time will come to end when this cycle ends. Of course, he was due to retire after the last world cup, but Gabriel Vizcarra managed to convince him to attempt to go out of football with a bang.

Bears Armed

‘The Bear-Belles’

Please note that this is, once again, a unified team that represents all of ‘Bears Armed’ rather than just the country’s ‘Mainland’ section.
Yes, it still is an all-female team. As I’ve explained before, this is because the main ball-game that's traditionally been played in Bears Armed is actually a form of Rugby, but [for several reasons] the professional league for that sport is all-male and so some of the female players decided that switching to Soccer — and trying to establish a professional league for that sport for themselves instead — might be a viable alternative: They were right, because that professional league was founded shortly after WC44 and so has now been in operation for over forty years.

According to the timeline for this nation, the qualifiers for WC57 are starting in 2061AD. The figures given here for people’s ages & lengths of experience should therefore be increased by 1 year for the second half of the qualifiers and then by another year for the ‘World Cup itself or (if we don’t manage to qualify for that…) the ‘Cup of Harmony’.
People whose ages are marked with an asterisk in these notes are amongst those who were [mysteriously] “rejuvenated” back in 2042, while lost on the way to DBC15.

Staff

Manager & Chief Coach: Marra SunDaughter (female Ursine, a member of the ‘Sun Clan’; played in BoF31 & WC44, as the usual starter at ‘Left Forward’ and the team’s Captain, scoring a good proportion of the Belles’ goals’, and was also captain of her home team the 'Sun Valley Smashers’, but subsequently had to retire from active play due to a crippling injury to her right leg [which was actually fixed when she was ‘rejuvenated’…]; then became involved in coaching her home team, and as ‘Deputy Chief Coach for the national team during WC45; became Chief Coach for WC46, retaining that job when the ‘Bear-Belles’ became the “national” team of the ‘Mainland’ alone from WC47 onwards and became Manager as well — withdrawing from her role with the Smashers — after WC49; Soccer experience = 10 years as a player, now in her 49st year as a full-time coach; official age = 79* but now looks & moves more as though she’s back in her late 30s instead, left-pawed, fur = golden-brown, good eyesight even by human [rather than Ursine] standards... She played in 2042’s Queen’s Cup and the following year’s Draggonnii Inviyatii, as well as managing the Belles during both of those contests, but then reverted to a purely off-the-field role once again…)

First-Deputy Manager & Chief Coach: Sunnarra o Redwood (female Ursine from Clan Redwood, formerly played for 'Heroes' Park Harlequins’ and for 28 years for the BearBelles too as a Defender/Midfielder [ usual position = ‘Lynchpin’], promoted to this job in between the qualifiers & Cup proper for WC53; age = 54, right-pawed, fur = light brown; quite fast; has a degree in Military Science. Sunnarra made her ‘international’ debut in Oxen Cup 11, but wasn’t then selected for a World Cup squad until WC48.)

Deputy Manager & Chief Coach: Errmintrra o RedSun _ Clan = Red Sun [Free Sept]; played as Striker or Winger [usual position = Right Forward] for ‘NorthPort Navigators’ for 26 years; she actually made her ‘international’ debut as a reserve in the “undivided” ‘Bears Armed’ team for the ‘WC46’ cycle, as its first ever recruit from within the Northlands League’, and remained with them after that for both ‘Oxen Cup11’ & ‘WC47’ then became Captain of the ’NorthBears’ instead; doubled as that team’s ‘Attacking Coach’ for the ‘Cup of Harmony’ in the WC51 cycle, and retired from playing to take up the job of Deputy Manager for the reunified national team instead shortly after the decision to re-merge the two teams had been taken; played for the Bear-Belles in the Draggonnii Inviyatii of 2043, player-manager of the NorthBears again for their revival during WC53; official age = 62* but now looks more as though she’s back in her late 30s, right-pawed, fur = light reddish-brown, above-average eyesight.

Deputy Manager (Admin): Urradarra o SwanWater (female Ursine, from Clan GreenWoods; formerly Deputy Manager of the Heroes’ Park Harlequins, and more recently a staff member at BAMAS [as it then was], originally appointed to this job for ‘Oxen Cup 14’; age = 52, fur = medium-brown & quite long [but fashionably so…], left-pawed).

Deputy Coaches _
Goalkeeping:
Bella DeBruin _ Clan = WestWoods, Goalkeeper, had a lengthy & successful career as a goalkeeper for 'Wiston United' (“What a pity their attack wasn’t as good…”), made her international debut for the Bear-Belles in the qualifiers for WC47 & remained in their active roster right through to the end of their participation in WC50 when she was selected for this job instead; playing experience = 31 years then, plus parts of 2042 & 2043; age = officially 61* but now looks & moves more as though she’s back in her late 30s, left-pawed, fur = dark brown.

Goalkeeping/Defence: Emma o RedSun _ Clan = RedSun [‘Free Sept’]; plays for = ‘Snowspire’ (Sorthern Northland), category & usual position = Goalkeeper, experience = 24 years as player + 14 years as coach too; age = officially 61* but now physically as if back in her mid-30s instead, right-pawed, fur = reddish-brown; of proven ability, actually made her ‘international’ debut as a reserve in the “undivided” ‘Bears Armed’ team for the ‘WC47’ cycle but was transferred to the NorthBears as soon as those were established separately and played for them until the end of the Cup of Harmony following WC51; subsequently retired from playing, to help coach the nation’s “unified”U21 team, and has not returned to playing at the national level since rejuvenation.

Defending: Jerrane o Grey _ Clan = GreyBear; with 24 years of experience as a professional footballer for various Clubs (most recently ‘Kabano Zepelin’ (‘Somewhereistonia’)) as a good all-round Defender & Midfielder, and having played as one of the ‘Bear-Belles’ from ‘Oxen Cup10’ until they were eliminated from WC50, she has now spent 21 years as a [full-time] coach but with one year during that period when she briefly returned to playing as well; age = officially 64* but now looks more as though she’s back in her late 30s, right-pawed, fur = ash-blonde, good eyesight, used to be a bit hot-tempered at times but mellowed with age… and has not reverted fully to her earlier impulsiveness being rejuvenated.

Attacking: Elga ‘the Leopardess’ Lightning _ Clan = Gunnar, spent 29 years with ‘PassPort Athletic’ as a Midfielder/Forward ( preferred position = Midfield Centre or Midfield Right or Right Forward) and was a player with the Bear-Belles too from DBC9 to the end of WC50 after which she was selected for this coaching job — although she spent parts of 2042 & 2043 combining that with playing again — instead; age = officially 59* but now looks more as though she’s back in her late 20s, right-pawed, fur = light brown; very keen eyesight, not as heavily built as most other Ursines, very agile & quite fast on her feet.

Doctor: Mitzi von und zu Steiffen (female Ursine, from Clan Kettar-Surra; age = officially 60*, left-pawed, fur = light brown.)

Physio: Gerrthra o Barrdenn (female Ursine, from Clan GreenWoods; age = officially 59*, left-pawed, fur = dark brown.)

Routemaster: Lieutenant-Colonel Harron o Harrha (male Ursine, from Clan BerryGlades and the Confederal Army’s General Staff Corps; age = officially 57* but looks quite a bit younger than that , left-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown & cut quite short; the job involves handling all of the squad’s travelling arrangements.)

Chaplain, ‘One Plus Seven’: Urrsulha Nightfall (female Ursine from the Silver-of-Night; age = 30-ish, left-pawed, fur = silvery; assigned to this job, by the Great Medicine Society, following the recent retirement of Urrthra Moonshadow.)

Chaplain, Ursion: Derrik Ommin (male Ursine, from Clan Artorran; age = 27; right-pawed, fur = light brown & fairly short, he is a bit closer to ‘human’ in shape than is the average Ursine; seconded to this post from the staff of the ArchPriest of New Sarrum, who is the Earthly head of the Ursion Church; he is a keen student of Football, both nationally & internationally, and can bore for England Bears Armed on the details of teams’ records & players’ careers (and about the statistics involved, too: Did I mention yet that he originally trained as a statistician? ^_^ ) — if you give him even half a chance…)

Security Chief: Captain Arran Warrd (male Ursine, from Clan Herrchaum; age = 29, left-pawed, fur = dark grey; easily overlooked, most of the time; seconded from [an unspecified unit within] the Confederal Army to this job following the recent retirement of Urrthra Moonshadow.)

Caterers: Jorrdon Blue.

“Mascot”: ‘The Wise Grorrfinn’ (male ‘TrueBear’; age = undisclosed [but considering some of his appearances in old stories apparently somewhere over 1’500, at least...], ambidextrous, fur = medium-brown); during WC54 it was revealed that he is the maternal grandfather of Urra ‘Honey’ SunBlesséd.

Roster

(#1) Urrathanna o BerryGlades _ Clan = BerryGlades; home team = Barrdenn Barbariennes, category & usual position = goalkeeper, experience = 27 years; age = 40, left-pawed, fur = medium-brown; promising as a youngster, when she still had some growing to do, she is now fully-grown at 7’1” tall and still has a definite knack for getting to shots that look as though they should be out of her reach. (Oxen Cup 13 was her international debut: She played as the Belles’ starting goalkeeper during their first qualifying match of WC53, when she let in three goals before being replaced, but her League performance in the following years was good enough to win her another chance.)

(#5) Marra o Mara _ Clan = BerryGlades; Home team = ‘Belgium FC’ (The Babbage Islands) (transferred shortly before the previous Cup’s qualifiers began), category & usual position = Goalkeeper, experience = 13 years, proven as a verrry good goalie; age = 27 years, left-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown. (DBC17 was her international debut.)

(#31) Arren Herthnhry _ Clan EastDale; home team = NorthPort Navigators, category & usual position = Goalkeeper, experience = 7 years; age = 21 years, right-pawed, fur = medium-brown shading to “red” on shoulders & back of neck. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as an [un-named] reserve, and was then lead goalkeeper for the ‘Baby Belles’ in DBC 19.)

(#2) Dorra o Starrhkan _ Clan = Seabear (in the Northlands), home team = Harr Borran Heroines, category = Defender or Midfielder, preferred position = Left Back or Midfield Left, experience = 18 years; age = 32, left-pawed, fur = light-medium brown. (DBC16 was her international debut.)

(#3) Beorra BigBear _ Clan = GreenWoods; Home team = Barrdenn Barbariennes, category = Defender, usual position = Right Back, experience = 20 years; age = 32 years, right-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown. (She made her international debut as a member of the smaller-than-planned team that Bears Armed sent to DBC15.)

(#15) Jhargeena o Wirrene _ Clan = Herrchaum, home team = Mighty Herrchaum, category = Defender, preferred position = Right Back, experience = 11 years; age = 26, right-pawed, fur = very light brown with some reddish hints; languages spoken = Verrene, Ursine ('HeartWoods' dialect), and English; religion = 'Wookha' ; she sometimes seems to have a sort of "sixth sense" about what's going to happen on the pitch during the next few moments; off of the pitch, she favours loose skirts and draped scarves in bright (& often contrasting) colours, with more jewellery than is typical for Ursines (i.e. her people's equivalent of a 'Gypsy chic' look…) in emulation of her [rather distant] relative Arna-Maggra… (The only new addition to the team for WC56, she had actually been short-listed for DBC17 but had to stay at home instead back then due to a family emergency…)

(#16) Irrie o Herrin _ Clan = Urrset (Northern); Home team = NorthGate Nomads, category = Defender, usual position = Left Back, experience = 8 years; age = 21 years, left-pawed, fur = russet. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a substitute, and also then played as a starter in DBC19.)

(#4) Urra ‘Honey’ SunBlesséd _ Clan = Sun, home team = ‘Sun Valley Smashers’, category = Midfielder/Defender, usual position = Defensive Centre, Soccer experience = 56 years, and she has been in the national team since BoF31; age = 73 (but, although not amongst the people who were “rejuvenated” in 2042, she still seems quite ‘young’ both physically and mentally…), right-pawed, fur = ‘honey-brown’, very good eyesight even by human (rather than Ursine) standards. She is a very accurate kicker, and therefore one of the usual first choices for taking free kicks & penalties. Her nickname comes from her fur-colour, and her very sweet nature: Originally it was also because (as we must admit…) she was rather “thick”, but then she ‘grew-up’ mentally during WWC12 & the qualifiers for WC50 so that now she has a verrry good mind indeed… She acted as manager for the [“unified”] U21 teams that Bears Armed entered in DBC13 (=> runners-up) and DBC14 (=> quarter-finals); She is the team’s Captain.

(#17) Hirrdhra o TrueHeart _ Clan = BerryGlades; Home team = Merlchester Rovers, category = Midfielder or Defender, usual position = Lynchpin, experience = 11 years; age = 21 years, left-pawed, fur = medium-brown with [natural] ‘strawberry’ highlights; seems to have a knack for anticipating opponents’ actions; also qualified as a Dream Interpreter. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a starting Midfielder & the Captain, shifting to Lynchpin -- & still Captain – in DBC19, but some of you may also remember her as a spectator from WC54...)

(#20) Taborra Sheerh _ Tiggrahth'hrra (i.e. anthropomorphic Tiger) _ Clan = Tiggrahth'hrra; Home team = Kingly City, category = Lynchpin or Midfielder or Forward, usual position = Lynchpin, experience = 8 years; age = 24 years, right-pawed, fur = black with orange stripes; "Fast and furious", she is widely credited with playing a major role in powering Kingly City's rise back up through the Upper Division from relegation-threatened to (for two years in a row, now) the championship... which is why the team was so reluctant to release her for 'international' duty when this was requested earlier. (She is making her international debut here in WC57, having just joined the Belles after the qualifying stages....)

(#6) Cierra o Vorross _ Clan = GreenWoods, home team = River City, category = Midfielder, usual position = Midfield Left, experience = 17 years; age = 30, left-pawed, fur = light brown with paler reddish highlights. (She made her international debut as a last member of the smaller-than-planned team that represented Bears Armed in DBC15, having travelled to that competition as a supporter but then been “drafted” to fill one of their vacant places due to her status as the ‘National Under-15 Keepy-Uppy Champion’…)

(#7) Beorra o Hrram _ Clan = March, home team = Wildfair Wildlings [Junior League], category = Winger or Midfielder, preferred position = Midfield Right or Right Winger, experience = 15½ years; Harr'aynau; age = 29, right-footed, hair = russet; twin sister of #14, with whom she shares a rapport that makes them especially effective when working together.

(#21) Herra Harrhlach _ Clan = March, Harr’aynau humanoid; Home team = Mighty Marchers, category = Midfielder, usual position = Left Half, experience = 7 years; age = 21 years, left-footed, hair = russet; good enough that she’s already a professional player — albeit not in one of the country’s very best teams — at her current age. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a reserve, and was also with the ‘baby Belles’ – this time as a starter – forDBC19.)

(#23) Karramarrsar Tharrarra _ Clan = Ostbora; Home team = OstPort Dynamo, category = Midfielder, usual position = Right Half, experience = 8 years; age = 21 years, right-pawed, fur = light brown; first cousin of # 27, with whom she works well. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a starter, and also filled that role during DBC19.)

(#10) Beorranna o Fizzbang _ Clan = Gunnar; Home team = Newton Arsenal, category = Forward, usual position = Centre Forward, experience = 21 years; age = 33 years, left-pawed, fur = light-medium brown. (She made her international debut as a member of the smaller-than-planned team that Bears Armed sent to DBC15.)

(#11] Marrai Longday _ Clan = Sun (Northlands branch), home team = NorthGate Nomads, category = Forward or Winger, usual position = Left Forward [‘Inside Left’], experience = 17 years; age = 30, left -pawed, fur = blonde; sometimes [still] seems a bit ‘dizzy’ in personality, but a versatile player who is not only good at getting the ball but generous about sharing it with her team-mates too. (DBC16 was her international debut.)

(#12) Marvra WestFarer _ Clan = Westfarer [‘free sept’], home team = Heroes’ Park Harlequins, category = Forward, preferred position = Right Forward, 22 years experience of Soccer; Harr’aynau, age = 36, right-footed, hair = ginger. (She made her international debut in DBC 14, but her first chance in the Belles’ main team didn’t come until the group stage of WC53.)

(#24) Harroya o SarnDale _ Clan = Herrchaum, home team = ‘Belgium FC’ (The Babbage Islands) (transferred shortly before the previous Cup’s qualifiers began), category = Forward, preferred position = Left Forward or Centre Forward, experience = 20 years; age = 33, left-pawed, fur = silver-brown. (She made her international debut as a member of the smaller-than-planned team that Bears Armed sent to DBC15, when she was on the ‘long list’ for selection and then “drafted” from amongst the travelling fans to fill one of the vacant places.)

[#25] Imbrhra/Umbrhra _ Clan = Chargh’ghrarr; Home team = Heroes’ Park Harlequins [transferred from Wildfair Warriors shortly before DBC19], category = Forward, usual position = Centre Forward, experience = 9 years; age = 19 years, left-pawed/right-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown & rather long; already over 7’ tall (despite her youth) and broad in proportion, but certainly not slow or clumsy; actually a pair of identical twins who count as a single person for legal purposes and who often act as though they share a single mind, the two halves of this player will normally stay close together on the pitch and might keep passing the ball back-&-forth. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a substitute, and was then a starter for the ‘baby Belles’ through DBC19.)

(#26) Urrthra o GoodSword _ Clan = Sun; Home team = Sun Valley Smashers, category = Forward or Winger or Midfielder, usual position = Right Forward (‘Inside Right’), experience = 7 years; age = 19 years, right-pawed, fur = blonde; very good eyesight and reflexes, a verrry good player, may be favoured for taking ‘set pieces’ as she was in the junior team. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a substitute, and was then a starter for the ‘baby Belles’ through DBC19.)

(#13) Urra um Karrai _ Clan = GhostBear; Home team = Barrdenn Barbariennes, category = Forward or Winger, usual position = Right Winger, experience = 20 years; age = 33 years, right-pawed, fur = light brown. (She made her international debut as a member of the smaller-than-planned team that Bears Armed sent to DBC15.)
(#14) Samarra o Hramm _ Clan = March, home team = Wildfair Wildlings [Junior League], category = Winger or Forward, preferred position = Left Winger or Left Forward, experience = 15½ years; Harr'aynau; age = 29, left-footed, hair = russet; twin sister of #7, with whom she shares a rapport that makes them especially effective when working together.

(#27) Karramarrsar Thyrrinthra _ Clan = Ostbora; Home team = OstPort Dynamo, category = Winger, usual position = Right Winger (‘Outside Right’), experience = 8 years; age = 21 years, right-pawed, fur = light brown; first cousin of #23, with whom she works well. (She made her international debut in DBC18, as a starter, and then filled the same role in DBC19.)

(#30) Harrashia o Redwood _ Clan = Redwood; home team = Merlchester Babes [‘Junior League’], category = Lynchpin/Midfielder/Winger preferred position = Lynchpin but selected now primarily as a Left Winger, experience = 56 years; age = 18 years, ambidextrous, fur = medium-brown with hints of russet; she is a great-great-niece of Harroya “of the Rovers” o Redwood, former captain of the Bear-Belles, but gained this place on merit. (She made her international debut as a substitute in DBC 19.)

Usual line-up _
Starters: #1 [/u]or #5 (alternating), #2-4, #6-7, #10-14.
Substitutes: #5 or #1, #15, #17, 21 or #23, any two of #24-26, #27.

Style: Offensive, modifier = +3.5… ("A good offence is the best defence"...)
Their usual formation will include a front row of at least 5 (normally arranged as 3 strikers & 2 wingers), with 2 midfielders, 2 backs, and either a ‘Defensive Centre’ (whose starting position would be at the midpoint of an imaginary cross drawn between those other four non-forwards’ positions) or a third midfielder depending on the Manager’s decision before each match.

Choose my goalscorers: Y (but the Forwards, and then the Wingers, are likeliest to fill this role...)
Godmod Scoring Events: Y

RP injuries to my players / Godmod injuries to my players / Hand out Yellow cards to my players / Hand out Red cards to my players: Y to all, at least to start with, but remember what I've written here and keep it in limits accordingly... Any serious offences by my players would probably result in injuries to your players, and causing any serious injuries to my players would probably require such obviously-deliberate attacks that your players would get yellow or even red cards as a result too. Don’t kill anybody, or inflict injuries that would be serious enough to end careers, without checking with me & getting my approval (which is unlikely to be granted…) first.

Godmod Other Events: Y, I suppose, at least as long as you do so in an AMUSING way... but please remember that Ursines are fully sapient beings, as much as Humans are, not instinct-driven animals. Oh, and of course female Ursines are not sexually interested in Humans (of either sex), and it's very unlikely that female Harr'ayanau would be either. Please don't have them run amok or outright revert to animality, without checking by TG first, don't make assumptions about their views on politics or religion, and don't do anything that would make more than one of them incapable of playing in their next game...

______________________________________________________

Kit: This incarnation of the team will mainly wear the usual set of designs (from ‘ediraf’) that the Belles have favoured in the past, with the ‘Association’ badges correctly staying ‘BAAS’ rather than [the now obsolete] ‘BAMAS’. See "here" for details.
However when participating in the ‘Pink Cup’ they will switch to the NorthBears’ former violet strip, which was produced by Tenderville, instead.
Bears Armed has traditionally used base-8 arithmetic, for several reasons, and this has affected the set of numbers used for this team’s players: Also, the number “22” has deliberately been left unassigned out of respect for its first [& only] wearer who died a heroine’s death during the year immediately following WC444…

Home grounds

1/. Wimbley Stadium:
Located a few miles to the north-north-west of Council Groves (our capital city), to which it is connected by rail as well as by road, this stadium was built from scratch — on part of a former Confederal Army base’s site — shortly before the qualifiers for WC52 began as a replacement for the Bear-Belles former “home” at ‘Plumtrees Park’ which has now been demolished. Its current capacity is approximately 60'000 for Ursines: Fitting about 40’000 humans into the visiting fans' half should be possible, and so that's as many as we'll let into the country. Accommodation for visiting teams & their staffs will be provided in a new hotel, less than a mile away, which has staff who are accustomed to dealing with Humans as well as with Ursines. The various other hotels in that complex and those at Council Groves can now provide about 12’000 rooms at a time, at varying prices, although of course some of those may already have been booked by people who have nothing to do with the Cup. Accommodation (at a fairly basic level) for up to 15’000 supporters will be available, at reasonable prices, in students' residences for the National University’s campus in that city: if any more than all of those facilities put together can house want to attend a match then they’ll have to borrow space in the area’s remaining Army camp instead...
There are still no direct inter-regional flights into Council Groves, so that visitors will have to travel by way of one of our neighbours and then continue onwards by one of the limited number of "local" air-flights or by rail. (People planning to arrive by rail will still have to travel via the nation of Mikitivity, but extra services will be organised on that route...)
This site will be used for some of the Belles’ home games (list to be added), and also for some of their friendlies & matches in other Cups during this period as specified separately.

2./ ‘NorthLands National Stadium’: Located at NorthPort, the most cosmopolitan city in The Ursine Northlands, this facility was originally built for use by the 'Northbears' WC49’s qualifiers. Unfortunately the place has since seen rather less use than was originally hoped, but it is still in good condition and will hold about 43’000 Ursines or over 60’000 humans (or, of course, proportionate numbers of a mixture of those two species) because it was deliberately built to be rather larger than 'Plumtrees Park' which was then the Mainland's 'national' stadium…
This site will be used for some of the Belles’ home games (list to be added), and also for some of their friendlies & matches in other Cups during this period as specified separately.
Foreigners coming to this stadium may either travel to the ‘Mainland’ and then continue hence via a set of ancient [& probably magical] ‘Gates’ that link the country’s two sections — completing their journey by either rail or riverboat after that — or take ship directly to NorthPort.

3./ New Grafford: Located at WestPort, just inside the country’s border with Mikitiuvity, this is the home ground of 'WestPort Wonders' who have been one of the National League’s leading teams for most of its existence. It is widely acknowledged as one of the National League’s best stadiums, and has a capacity comparable to Wimbley. This site will probably be used for a few of the Belles’ home games, or at least for some of their friendlies (list to be added).

NOTES

Ursines may tend to be a bit less agile & slower to accelerate than humans on average, but this team's members were carefully selected so the gap between them & their opponents in this respect should be narrower than some people might expect. They do tend to have [slightly] poorer eyesight than humans, on the whole (although the members of both Clan Gunnar and the Sun Clan are generally an exception to this rule, and the eyesight of the latter group is actually often at [slightly] better-than-human levels instead), so long-distance passes & shots at goal will tend to be rarer behaviour for them than they are for human teams... but their typical size & strength mean that when they're running with the ball it will probably take a very brave human — as well as a very skilled one — to tackle them successfully (or, at least, one who has reasonable experience of playing against Ursines…), which should balance that factor pretty well. They don’t jump very well, but then they’re generally rather taller than most Human players to start with so they shouldn’t need to jump as often in order to intercept [relatively] high shots...
Ursines are physically robust, of course, which means that they're much less likely than humans are to suffer injuries in falls or collisions. The females of this species are more even-tempered than the males, and the team's members will try to stay on their best behaviour not only in order to do well in this contest but also to impress upon the watching humans that Ursines aren't just "dumb beasts". They will not 'dive', or feign injury in other ways, because suggesting that they could be harmed so easily goes strongly against the grain. ‘Northlanders’ are maybe not quite as "civilised" as the 'Mainlanders'… or, at any rate, that’s the traditional stereotype..
Cold weather should pose no problem to them, even if there's snow or ice on the pitch, but tropical heat might prove awkward...

Unless our hosts at the match in question object, this team's members (including the designated substitutes for the match in question) will perform a [fairly short] ritual that's called the 'harrdiharr'[/url] on the pitch just before play begins... This is a traditional war-dance, meant to over-awe opponents, that has come to be a customary prelude for team games as well (similar to the [RL] New Zealanders' 'haka'...). : )
As has now been seen during various tournaments, some of our fans like to take drums — and possibly also 'Urrs-horns' [which are similar to Alpenhorns, cow-horns, or other "musical instruments", too — along to the matches…

The Confrederated Clans (and other Confrederated Bodys) of the Free Bears of Bears Armed
(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.

RP Notes: When RP'ing against me, you have permission to use the abbreviation EL to save having to right the full name out all the time. However, you must use the full name at least once if you're referring to this country as it helps me find RPs buried in the larger RP threads. As for the demonym, there isn't an official one, so you can make one up, or just use "the EL players", "the citizens of EL", etc, whichever suits your fancy (the made-up demonyms will need some connection back to the nation however).

Standard disclaimer FTW: The Weegie Government's Department of Culture, Sport, and Tourism allows anything and everything to happen in a game, as long as it is properly disciplined by the referee, police, security services, army, or your gran. In the event something does happen to our players, we must note that a few thousand drunken, angry Weegies will camp out outside your National Football Association and chuck things at anyone going in or coming out.

...*static*...

Or so you would think.

The Weegie nation is currently in a state of reality-warping flux, brought about by the Great Old Trickster Gods of Yore (Weegies, a cynical group of people, had before the introduction of Christianity an entire pantheon of nothing but Trickster Gods) for unspecified, probably sinister reasons. It will change rapidly, sometimes significantly, even through the course of a game. Rosters may or may not be posted here, to reflect the recent developments in what particular reality The Weegies is currently in. As such, anything can be done to the players. As long as you're sure it's not advancing the Trickster Gods' plans, of course...

Top Row: Adin, Aginaga, Aira, Ansotegi, Baranzano, Barrueta, Barta, Belarte

Bottom Row: Mendikoa, Nanklares, Ormache, Sapano, Sarlange, Unzueta, Zornoza

Manager - Image Powell Pieran
Much has been said about Powell Pieran and his controversial style, but after some distinctly average performances at the 48th Cup of Harmony and the 6th Copa Rushmori he is under pressure to produce results. Qualification, though theoretically possible, is probably too much to ask for at this point, so the FAF will be looking for a decent group finish to boost their confidence in the 48-year-old manager and his team.

To this end, Pieran has taken a look at Olibondeka's traditional 4-3-1-2 formation and smashed it to pieces, convinced that there are enough quality strikers to throw caution to the wind and pummel the opposition with goals. He reckons a 3-1-2-1-3 will do in order to accomplish this, maintaining much the same team as in past competitions. One radical change is the inclusion in the starting lineup of Ikatz Ansotegi, who has never been capped in the senior team but was top scorer of the past Astograthian First Division with a whopping 28 goals in 25 matches. Dei Ormache, having suffered a muscular injury of uncertain severity, has been sent to the bench once more in favour of the manager's favourite and crowd's most hated, Munio Baranzano.

Finally, this will be captain Estebe Bularte's last incursion into international football, as he is hanging up his boots at the end of the next Astograthian season.

Starting XI:

#1 - GK - Zernin Aira - Age 26 - Image Juvillian Martinax – 78 caps, 98 goals against, 24 clean sheets
Former goalie at Sporting Iturributa, Aira is blessed with stunning reflexes and a leaping ability unlike any other. A commanding keeper, he rarely suffers from miscommunication. The only thing that could be held against him is his tendency to rush off his line more recklessly than he should, but when his defense holds this is rarely a problem. Whether a back line of only three will hold is another matter entirely.

#3 - LCB – Iturri Aginaga - Age 30 – Image Alianza Ciruelas – 8 caps
Part of the Iturributa United side that won two leagues, two domestic cups and two Ides of March Cups, Aginaga always stuck out more for his determination and concentration than any particularly great defensive talents. Left the comfort of United for the money and prestige of the Liga Aguazuleña, and has performed well enough at the Cup of Harmony and Copa Rushmori to be a starter. Probably the weakest link of the three-strong defense, however.

#2 - CB - Milian Erburu - Age 31 - Ituraitz FC – 82 caps, 1 goal
The captain of Ituraitz FC, Erburu is also the de facto leader of the Astograthian defense. His tackling ability is excellent and his anticipation too, always knowing where to be in order to intercept the cross or steal the ball from the striker's feet. Tall and burly, he commands respect.

#16 - RCB - Ubelteso Adin - Age 26 – Royal Rumiatzi - 34 caps, 1 goal
A rock in the defence of the prestigious Royal Rumiatzi, Adin is a smart player who knows when to dive in for the tackle and when to hold off, covering empty space in just the right spot to cut off attacks. In short, his playing style is similar to that of Erburu, though nowhere near as physically large.

#6 - DM - Inguma Sapano - Age 25 - Image Vulkan – 35 caps, 2 goals
Edorta Urrustoy set a very high standard for Astograthian defensive midfielders, and Sapano has shown to be a different but no less competent player. Several seasons at relegation-threatened Šede Island Shadows made him take on a role of responsability, with decisive passes and determined demeanor. He isn't nearly as proficient at tackling and covering space as his predecessor, but at least he knows how to keep his temperament under check.

#11 - LM - Urgutz Belarte - Age 25 - Image Atlético Central – 80 caps, 5 goals
Once considered Astograth's next big thing, he was unable to demonstrate his class throughout three seasons in the disappeared Albundanian league. Now in the prestigious Primeirona, Belarte brings to the table his repertoire of tricks and dribbles, which combine with his precise crosses to make him a very dangerous man down the left wing. Though he doesn't often cut into the box, when he does his carefully placed shots are a challenge for even the best keepers.

#10 - RM - Itzeder Unzueta - Age 25 - Image FKM – 37 caps, 8 goals
Unzueta's crossing has been known to be excellent for years, with keepers all across Astograth coming to dread them during his time at Athletic Rumiatzi. In recent times, though, he has revealed a surprising amount of skill at shooting and scored eight goals for the national team so far, which included an inspired hat-trick. Though his passing is also great, he tends to be selfish with the ball when around the box, and his attitude often gets him in trouble with teammates and manager alike. Personally, Pieran doesn't care for him very much, but Unzueta's performances leaves him no choice but to send him out.

#8 - AM - Estebe Bularte (C) - Age 34 - Iturributa United – 93 caps, 7 goals
The captain, for five years running now. By far the most respected, and now also the oldest, member of the squad, Bularte brings serenity to a team that is often rash and temperamental. Also captain of Astograthian First Division giants Iturributa United, he plays killer through balls to the strikers and can also shoot from outside the box with surprising accuracy. He has announced his retirement from football at the end of next season, which means this will be his last time wearing the olive-green shirt.

#21 - LCF – Ikatz Ansotegi - Age 22 - Ituraitz FC – Uncapped
Scored a massive 28 goals in only 25 matches playing for the controversial The Army Club in the Astograthian league thanks to his sheer speed, height and brute force. Built like a rugby forward and nicknamed 'The Locomotive', Ansotegi barges right through the defense till he scores, and for that same reason has been brought in to spearhead champions Ituraitz' attack.

#22 - CF – Munio Baranzano - Age 30 - Image Eastern Chase – 32 caps, 5 goals
A tall, fast forward that is similar in playing style to Sarlange but completely different in attitude. Where the latter is a cold-blooded finisher, Baranzano is lacking in confidence and composure, dreading one-on-ones with the keeper and frequently tossed around by the defenders despite his height. If the Astograthian fans didn't like him before, accusing him of never making enough effort, now that he's taken the beloved Ormache's spot they revile him and rain down abuse from the stands. His star status at Pieran's old club Eastern Chase ensures his permanence, however.

#9 - RCF - Soter Sarlange - Age 26 - Image CR Submiria – 85 caps, 33 goals
Sarlange is a rude, egocentric striker who relies on his speed and height to score with unusual frequency. Thrice top scorer of the Astograthian First Division during his time at Ituraitz FC, he and Ormache know each other inside out but will have fewer chances of playing together following the latter's removal from the starting eleven. Recently selected as fourth best attacker in the highly competitive Primeirona, Sarlange is lethal and he knows it.

Substitutes:
#13 - GK - Cheru Larretape - Age 25 - Royal Rumiatzi – 20 caps, 34 goals against, 6 clean sheets
Having matured in goal at club level and mostly solved his previous issues with handling, Larretape is still forced to sit on the bench due partly to his low height (1.73m) and partly due to his persistent problems in cutting crosses. His reflexes, arguably better than Aira's, give him a constant chance at making the starting eleven, though, and Pieran has shown a great deal of uncertainty in this matter.

#23 - GK – Astigar Barrueta - Age 26 - Ituraitz FC – Uncapped
Few, if any, chances of seeing any action. Played a match at Di Bradini Cup 17 several years back and then spent two seasons on loan at Ibarbe Polo Club before taking over from Lapurdi Abaitua at Ituraitz FC. Performed decently as they ran away with the title, but can't be considered a serious contender for the number one jersey.

#5 - LCB - Urtzi Galard - Age 22 - Royal Rumiatzi – 3 caps
Usually a left-back and veteran of three Di Bradini Cups, his quick, offensive runs down the wing are a constant threat. Tireless for the full ninety and an expert crosser, he can seamlessly swap positions with the left winger, and can indeed be used in that position if required. Frequently pushes up too much, but runs right back when he notices the flank has been exposed. Has only sparingly played as a centre-back, which raises doubts as to Pieran's judgement.

#4 - CB - Sotil Burruchaga - Age 24 - Sporting Iturributa – 13 caps
Pinched from Royal Association and perfected at Sporting's prolific school of defenders, he has adapted to the Chevrons' first team without a problem and makes his presence felt with size and grit. He's not fast at all, but he often doesn't need to be.

#19 - RCB - Tartalo Maruri - Age 25 - Iturributa United – 1 cap
A small man who can play precise passes at any distance and anticipate excellently. Always keep a cool head but prefers to stand off opponents rather than going in for the tackle, which gets him in trouble sometimes.

#15 - DM – Zorion Legeren - Age 26 - Image SK Franz Josef City – 8 caps
A smart, level-headed centre midfielder who currently plies his trade in the demanding Polarian league. Doesn't play all too differently from Sapano, though he is much more likely to dribble right into the box before passing. A serious challenger for a starting spot, as his transfer to champions SK Franz Josef City will no doubt prove.

#17 - LM – Zuzen Barta - Age 22 – Iturributa United – 1 cap
Having played three Di Bradini Cups, the last one as captain, and several seasons in United's first team, Barta is no stranger to international tournaments. He plays seamless football, weaving together dribbles and passes with tremendous skill. Isn't afraid to shoot at goal either, which is something goalkeepers tend to learn a fraction of a second too late.

#14 - RM – Lukar Mendikoa - Age 24 - Ituraitz FC – 6 caps
Mendikoa is incredibly speedy, and hits the ball surprisingly hard for a little man like him. His crossing and ball recovery leave much to be desired, though, which will probably see him brought on as an inside forward in the later minutes of the game.

#12 - AM - Otz Lasuen - Age 22 - Ituributa United – 11 caps, 1 goal
Despite being the youngest squad member, Lasuen has already gathered plenty of experience following two Di Bradini Cups and several seasons in the first teams of Victory and Echegoyan FC. Seen as the natural successor to the retiring Bularte, exhibiting the same playmaking ability and the same calm demeanor, and is already moving to replace him at club level.

#20 - LCF – Tipi Nanklares - Age 23 – Image Ajax Khaldoon II – 15 caps, 3 goals
Obnoxious. If there is one word to describe Nanklares, that would be it. He's taken a liking to riling up the opposing fans and players on the back of his great scoring ability, which has earned him a good few needless red cards. Not overly tall, but jumps surprisingly high and posseses quick enough feet to try to go past the keeper at every chance.

#7 - CF - Dei Ormache - Age 30 - Image SK Franz Josef City – 93 caps, 24 goals
One of the most prolific scorers in the Polarian league, and a living legend at Ituraitz FC and SK Franz Josef City, Ormache is quite simply a poacher. Short and slow, yet a good header, shooter and dribbler. Somehow always manages to find a way to score from the most unlikely positions, which makes him as reliable as they come. Absolutely adored by the crowd, but not held in very high esteem by Pieran, who includes him more for his own good than for any real desire to have him play. A tackle by Milian Erburu at the last Ides of March Cup gave him a muscular injury in his right thigh, the severity of which isn't clear. Some say it'll keep him out for the whole qualifiers, others that for only a few matches. Nobody knows for sure.

#18 - RCF - Artzeiz Zornoza - Age 27 - Image Eterna Stars - 6 caps
An exceptional first touch propelled Zornoza from the Astograthian Second Division to Marinos Metropolis of the highly-rated Valladar Super League, from where he moved to Eterna Stars. Itches to score, and with some encouraging early performances he looks likely to have a chance to do so.

FULL ROSTER:
(Caps in brackets indicate appearances from the bench)

Coach: Sol Kirkkegaard, 52
Sol Kirkkegaard is the finest tactical mind our nation has ever produced, and has pioneered the use of his formation, dubbed 'The Iceberg', in the national team. Has guided his teams to success almost without fail, and has a calm and cool exterior that does nothing to hint at what his calculative mind is thinking. He rarely flaps under pressure, and is well respected by fans, players, and press alike. He was the natural choice to lead our nation into the development of their first official international team, and carefully assessed the players through the exhibition A vs B and Road To The World Cup matches, the link to which can be found in my signature. Through this he developed a key core of players to rely on, and whilst many of them are reaching the tail end of their international careers now, he is nurturing a second wave of talented youngsters to lead the Terns further on with the help of U21s coach Gregorz van der Riise. As Sol himself said at a recent news conference, "I think it's one more cycle with this group, before the young blood comes in properly."

Tasted success at the Burchadinger Cup, and then oversaw a period of topsy turvy development before things got really exciting last time around. Some hard fought results in the qualifying stage saw them progress to their first ever World Cup at the expense of Osarius through a playoff. At the finals, the Terns impressed on a global scale with their tenacity and pride, and through hard work and the skill of an entire squad of gifted individuals, along with a little rub of the good stuff from Margaret, managed to make the semi finals. A defeat at the hands of eventual winners Sorthern Northland and subsequent defeat to Aguazul meant the Terns would finish fourth on their first ever appearance in the finals. This was a stunning performance, and a runners-up run at the sixth Copa Rushmori has left the Twitchers with expectations of at least reaching the finals once again. Will they be able to make it? If anyone can get them there again, it's Sol Kirkkegaard.

Assistant: Morten Yarbin, 67
The megaphone to Kirkkegaard's computer. The pair have worked together for coming up to twenty years, and in many cases Morten is able to start shouting a specific instruction onto the pitch with only a knowing glance from Sol. Loud, abrasive, fierce, and dogged, Morten is a master at motivating his players to do their best, walking the fine line between aggravating them and complementing them with a fine skill. When the Terns needed a pick-me-up before the extra time periods against Jeru FC - who was there? M Yarbin. When eleven players, dead on their feet, needed a boost before the penalty shoot out against Bears Armed in the quarter final- who was there? Morten Yarbin. Health problems have begun to tarnish his professional career, and whispers at the FPIFA are that he will be stepping down at the end of this cycle. So, expect him to go out with a bang.

#1 - GK - Lars Hegg Gammel - Age 27 - Saint-Urbain (Cotdelapoms) - 25 Caps
Lars moved abroad to Cotdelapoms in order to try and win a place in the Terns squad, fearing he'd never get the chance if he stayed stuck behind Atle Andreasson at SK. The move appears to have paid off, replacing first Atle on the bench, and now Karlsson in the starting line up. His talent is undeniable, and his quick reactions were key to the Terns reaching the Final in the last Copa Rushmori.

#2 - DR - Petter Nikkel - Age 31 - FC Mildrid (Erathore) - 38(17) Caps, 2 Assists
Catapulted into the starting lineup through injury to the more usual character of Sergey Makarov last cycle, Nikkel has done enough to prove he deserves what could be the most evenly contested position in the squad on a more permanent basis. Could be interpreted as a weak link by opposition teams, but they will need to beware, as this wily defender will not give up possession or goals cheaply, as his recent man of the match performances that saw him move to Erathore can prove.

#3 - DC - Sander Ljungberg - Age 24 - SK Franz Josef City - 15(19) Caps, 1 Assist, 1 Goal
With his movement, dependability, and extravagant tackling, Sander Ljungberg has proved himself to be a natural and worthy successor to Maarten Berg. Berg's retirement has left something of a hole in the heart of Sol's oft-favoured plans, but Ljungberg will be aiming to show that all is not lost. Has a turn of speed that can keep up with almost anything any fleet-footed strikers might try to pull on him, and with Marek next to him, the two are sure to be hard to get past.

#4 - DC - Niko Marek - Age 33 - Jan Mayen Islanders - 108 Caps, 4 Assists, 5 Goals - NATIONAL CAPTAIN
Niko is a born leader and will sacrifice his all to aid the cause, marshalling the players on his side to a stout and firm performance. A massively influential player and an exceptionally reader of the game, he has played for and captained the Terns more times than any other player, and his equalising goal against The Archregimancy was a key component in the team advancing from the group stages at the last World Cup. With half an eye on going into management when his playing career is over, he has already started rounding up and thinking about his replacement at both club and country, including the captaincy. A changing of the guard is coming, but not just yet.

#5 - DL - Steffan Pekarik - Age 30 - Urajbina (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu) - 86(6) Caps, 5 Assists, 3 Goals
Equally at home on the right or the left side of defence, Steffan's sweet left boot has brought his influential wingplay to the attention of an international audience. Now tearing up the pitch for Urajbina, his attacking instincts are suited perfectly to Sol's 'iceberg' formation, relying so much on the full-backs as it does. Might have lost a bit of his pace recently, but that hasn't stopped his desire to win.

#6 - DMC - Jorgen Hauge - Age 24 - Battle (Zarbli) - 39(2) Caps, 9 Assists, 5 Goals - VICE-CAPTAIN
A now established played in the Zarblese Duke League, Hauge was snapped up by Battle from Cross SC a few seasons ago, and hasn't looked back since. Now a regular in the starting lineup for the Terns, his marauding presence in front of the defence means attackers can't relax for a second. A long future in the national team awaits this young lad, who is impressively large even by Polarian standards, and he has a fearsome reputation already.

#7 - AMC - Ole van Jendrisen - Age 30 - Royal Vosaroni Antenelli (Erathore) - 87(5) Caps, 44 Assists, 4 Goals
Attacking midfielder van Jendrisen is the key playmaker for the Terns, as his hugely impressive assists tally indicates. Can influence players to move around the pitch seemingly at will to help carry out his plays. If Ole sees it, a long pass down the left can inspire an attacking move that ends up in a headed goal from a cross, all from Ole's original idea even if the final assist wasn't his. He can read a game better than almost anyone, and is Sol Kirkkegaard's man on the pitch, basically, with a sweet free kick. At 30, he is at the very peak of his career now, and if his legs mean he has to rely on his passes more than ever, then bad news for the qualification group.

#8 - MC - Teemu Hansen - Age 31 - AFC Tranzversa (Swartaz) - 91(7) Caps, 19 Assists, 7 Goals
Hansen has featured in almost every full international for the Terns, and is one of a key core of players that Kirkkegaard has built his team around. A solid all-rounder, his neat interplay passing is the link between defence and attack and he often plays an understated but essential role in the side. Now playing in Swartaz, he nonetheless maintains an almost telepathic understanding with his fellow midfielders.

#9 - ST - Timo Skye - Age 31 - Metropolis Alligators (Valladares) - 100(4) Caps, 13 Assists, 60 Goals
The nation's leading goalscorer, there isn't much that can be said about the enigmatic Skye that hasn't already been said. A classic central striker, his unswerving accuracy and nimble off-ball movement has tormented defences around the world. His temper, ego, and opinions can often get him into trouble, but he is the first name on the team sheet every time. With half an eye on the raft of talented youngsters lurking in the wings, he is setting out to build a legacy that will last forever.d with goals as crucial as his have been in the past, who says he won't?

#10 - ST - Patrick Ackermann-Finn - Age 29 - A.F.F. (Cafundéu) - 86(10) Caps, 17 Assists, 35 Goals
Ackermann-Finn is a tall and wiry striker, who excels at holding up the ball for his strike partner, or heading in from tight angles. Moved abroad to Cafundéu in order to try and learn from one of the highest ranked leagues in the world, Patrick has returned a more learned and experienced player, and don't be surprised if he quietly outshines and steals the spotlight from Skye without all that much fanfare. Captained the squad to the final of the Copa Rushmori, and never seems to stop seeking to improve his game.

#11 - MC - Petter Bielsen - Age 32 - Iturributa United (Astograth) - 88(9) Caps, 10 Assists, Goals
Now a much loved feature of life in the Astograth League, Iturributa United midfielder Bielsen continues to be a vital player for the Terns, where his tenacity and drive to succeed is surpassed by none. Accurate and fierce in the tackle, his weaknesses are few and his stamina high. Don't expect to see mistakes from this veteran, because he's going to be fighting to keep his place for a while yet.

#12 - GK - Dmitri Karlsson - Age 35 - Yuzhny Equinox FC - 84 Caps
Fast off his line, tall, powerful in the air and final line of what used to be the meanest defence in the Federation League, Karlsson is a true warrior on the pitch. An excellent communicator, his other strengths lie in his shot-stopping and his decision making, though his distribution can be found lacking at times. A reliable ever-present performer for the Terns, and has almost single-handedly got Yuzhny back in the Federation League. Knew he'd lost the spot in the starting lineup to Gammel, and had to be coaxed out of international retirement by Kirkkegaard.

#13 - GK - Mathias Marek - Age 29 - Jan Mayen Islanders - 2(4) Caps
Younger brother of captain Niko, penalty shoot-out specialist Mathias was the hero of the Burchadinger Cup and the World Cup quarter final, coming on to both score and save penalties as a last minute substitution. Is in the squad again, though many feel Andreasson would have been the safer choice, nonetheless he is a dependable keeper for Jan Mayen and his hunger for success drives him onwards at all times.

#14 - ST/AMC - Alexsandr van Sorensen - Age 21 - CR Submiria (Cafundéu) - 23(26) Caps, 19 Assists, 23 Goals
Bright young prodigy Alexsandr is only 21, but is already a key and regular figure in the Tern dressing room. Played a vital role for Jan Mayen before his move to Cafundéu where he continues to impress and is learning every day. Suffers from rare brain condition synaesthesia, but manages to not let this affect his attractive attacking play. Captained the U-21s in the Draggonnii Inviyatti recently, and likes to link in from the midfield, playing as either a deep lying striker or a forward thinking midfielder or trequartista, applying his explosive acceleration and going on mazy dribbles that often end in a shot from his sweet right boot. Could change a game in an instant, and could become an all-time legend. Expect him to quietly rack up some impressive statistics this cycle.

#15 - MC - Henning Tir - Age 28 - East Franz Athletic - 12(16) Caps, 1 Goal
A well heeled utility midfielder that can play in almost any position across the midfield range. His usefulness in all positions may have encouraged Sol into choosing him, seeing him as perhaps an emergency option, and he's a player you'd be thrilled at to have on your bench. May be a little light on experience so far, but with the ageing starting lineup, Henning will surely get his chances sooner or later. One of only a handful of players who have played for both big Franz Josef City teams.

#16 - DMC - Pol Sundstrom - Age 29 - Miago City (Mytannion) - 29(22) Caps, 4 Assists, 3 Goal
Hard as nails and solid as a rock, Pol Sundstrom and Jorgen Hauge playing in the same midfield is a truly intimidating prospect for opposition. Accurate in the tackle and excellent at keeping the ball and slowing down the play, Pol could come on to seal games against feisty attacking opposition searching for equalisers, and has a solid header from corners and free-kicks. Is looking over his shoulder at Iulian Finnibaturinn nervously, but his experience sees him make the squad this time around.

#17 - ST - Henning Blonqvist - Age 29 - East Franz Athletic - 27(29) Caps, 2 Assist, 25 Goals
East Franz striker Blonqvist has sealed an almost telepathic relationship with strike partner Berghoff at club level, but has been unable to nail down a starting position for his country, partly due to his seeming reliance on an understanding and sympathetic partner-in-crime. A stocky and physical striker, he looks to battle his way into poaching positions, and his leap makes him very competitive in the air for his height. Is hitting his physical and technical peak at the moment, and could be a formidable foe on the day.

#18 - AMC - Luc Demarchelier - Age 27 - Parr City (Mytannion) - 46(27) Caps, 25 Assists, 6 Goals
More of a driving attacking midfielder than playmaker van Jendrisen, Demarchelier is one of a handful of Polarian midfielders playing in Mytannion. His powerful runs with the ball seemingly glued to his feet are a regular sight during the closing parts of many matches, as he comes on to terrify tiring defenders. Though he has had to endure the shadow of van Jendrisen for most of his career, he is still plenty young enough to make a massive impact on this side.

#19 - DR - Sergey Makarov - Age 29 - Montréal (Cotdelapoms) - 67 (3) Caps, 2 Assists
Sergey has had an up and down career, dogged with injury often during his time in Mangolana, that unfortunately saw him miss out on last cycle's sensational achievements. He is fast, keen, imposing in the air, and has a wicked cross on him. He is reforging his career and his reputation at Montréal, and here is where he starts for the Terns.

#20 - ST - Amadeus Irndtor - Age 25 - SK Franz Josef City - 7(16) Caps, 1 Assist, 5 Goals
With a lethal left boot and a sixpence turning circle, this speedy youngster is just waiting for his big chance, which he may well finally get here. Hasn't exactly made a sparkling start to his career with the Terns since his goals at the Brotherhood Cup, but is out there to prove his doubters wrong, and his Copa Rushmori performances will have him brimming with confidence.

#21 - DL - Pol de Huyer - Age 31 - Cosmopolitan (Cotdelapoms) - 22(27) Caps
Like Pekarik that starts before him, is equally at home on either flank, his dynamic runs often being the start of exciting cross-field moves. Has been in the Cotdelapomais league for a few years now, and has transferred to the more competitive club of Cosmopolitan in order to try and force a way into the starting line-up with more regularity and score his coveted first ever goal for the Terns.

#22 - DC - Anton McAllister - Age 30 - Sparrowbottom Athletic (Sorthern Northland) - 14(25) Caps, 1 Assist, 1 Goal
McAllister has been unable to hammer down a starting place on a regular basis, thanks to the partnership of Berg and Marek. Berg may have gone, but the developing talents of Ljungberg have meant that McAllister will once again play his biggest parts from the bench this cycle. For now, this nimble and sometimes erratic defender will have the time to perfect his gameplay for new club Sparrowbottom Athletic.

#23 - DC - Jan Kowalski - Age 26 - East Franz Athletic - 7 Caps
Being thrown in at the deep end is as good a way to start off your international career as any I suppose, and Jan Kowalski did just that at the Copa Rushmori. An imposing presence at the centre of the park for East Franz, he was a key component of their title winning campaign last league cycle and will be relied on to do a similar job here if called upon. Almost a sweeper, he will hang back and mop up any spillages before the keeper is needed, using his quick burst of pace to surprise attackers.

TACTICS:
The Polarian game is fast, quick, and physical. They won't give you a second on the ball to think, and they won't hold back in the tackle. It is an attack minded game, though when the full backs bomb forward, expect to see Hauge hang back to mop up any counter attacks. In the centre of the park they will play a possession based midfield game, though a defence splitting pass could come at any moment towards the fast and direct strikers.
'The Iceberg', a narrow 4-3-1-2 (Though check my previous RP for the next starting line-up)
-------------------- Gammel --------------------
- Nikkel --- Ljungberg -- Marek --- Pekarik -
--------- Bielsen -- Hauge -- Hansen ---------

STARTING LINE-UP
3-3-3-1
------------------------------- Kielberg -------------------------------
--------------- Broberg - Friðfinnursson - Tommisen ---------------
-- Ragnarsson -------------- Eygenroy -------------- Ljótursson --
---------- Ragnarsson --- Sigurhelgason --- Jóhannsson ----------
----------------------------- Rosenmeyer -----------------------------
Happy to allow their opponents 60% possession or even more as a normality, Bleak Rock will be playing counter-attacking football this tournament. Looking to draw the attackers from the other team into a frustrating war of attrition in the defence, then lauching swift and devastating counterattacks that strike hard and fast at the opposition goal. This is guerilla football.
Modification: -5

The Protectorate of Bleak Rock is delighted to be able to submit their international team for entry into their second World Cup cycle. After an uninspiring debut on the international football scene, including an 8-0 humiliation at the hands of Polar Islandstates, the Dukes picked themselves up and went on to storm to the runners-up spot in the recent Baptism of Fire. The confidence brought by this soon disappated however, after the Dukes took over half the qualification campaign to score any goals. Things picked up, but fans felt disappointed by what could have been.

Ljótur Friðfinnursson was tempted away by the bright lights of the assistant post at Swartaz, and so the BRFA was left trying to find a boss to take the Dukes forwards. With no applicants for the job from within Rushmore, the net was cast wider. Still, no applicants. Running out of options, the BRFA finally started sending letters of job offers to manager who had been out of the game for a while, and then finally, in inward looking Yafor 2, they got a response.

Shaan Magerin, the legendary Yaforite manager, will be taking the reigns for this cycle after impressing as he took the Dukes to the Copa Rushmori quarter finals, only conceding a single goal in the process. Known for his unusual formations and his uncompromising attitude towards players who aren't performing as they should, Magerin will subsitute a badly performing star player within twenty minutes if the system doesn't fit the way he wants to unlock the opposing team. Controversially appointed the former-Astograthi-international Edorta Urrustoy as his assistant two games into the Copa, the two seem to gel very well, and will be looking to take their brand of football to a more global scale this competition.

FULL ROSTER:
GOALKEEPERS
#1 - GK - Hallvarður Kielberg - Age 31 - Dominion (Cotdelapoms) - Hús Hreindýr
#12 - GK - Petter Sivertsson - Age 25 - Atammik Zenith FK (Polar Islandstates) - Hvítabjörninn Hús
#13 - GK - Jónas Magnússson - Age 30 - Glidi Hreindýrsal - Hús Hreindýr
Kielberg is the starter in what is a strong goalkeeping contingent in the squad, perhaps the best represented position of them all in fact. Sivertsson is one of a handful of representatives from the Polarian league, and one of only a couple from amongst them to not make the starting lineup, kept out by the impressive form of Kielberg, so impressive that it secured him a move to Cotdelapomais side Dominion.

BACKLINE
#3 - DC - Hafliði Broberg - Age 32 - Náhvarðvíkur Bæ IF - Hús Náhvalur
#4 - DC - Gull Tommisen - Age 32 - FK Grise Fiord (Polar Islandstates) - Hús Hrafninn - VICE-CAPTAIN
#22 - DC - Hallvarð Friðfinnursson - Age 28 - Port Milne (Southern Cynocephali) - Hús Náhvalur

#20 - DC - Benedikt Aagard - Age 31 - FK Hámarvik - Hvítabjörninn Hús
#23 - DC - Óskar Jóhannsson - Age 33 - K85 Járn Virkaroy - Hús Hreindýr
In a defence that will be keen on avoiding another humiliation like they received against Polar Islandstates, vice-captain Tommisen will look to lead the line and hold steady in the face of attacking waves. Aggressive and not ashamed of getting stuck in, even with each other, this speedy defence will look to irritate, frustrate, and close down quickly, and their tall imposing frames with an average height of 5'11" will not make it easy for any attackers.

MIDDLE LINE
#2 - DR - Guðjón Ragnarsson - Age 29 - FF Berafjörðinn - Hvítabjörninn Hús
#5 - DL - Jens Ljótursson - Age 31 - Norðurmýrar 87 - Hús Hrafninn
#8 - DMC - Dietar Eygenroy - Age 28 - Jan Mayen Islanders (Polar Islandstates) - Hvítabjörninn Hús - CAPTAIN

#17 - DR - Steingrímur Aagard - Age 31 - Glidi Hreindýrsal - Hús Hreindýr
#18 - DL - Eyvindur Náhvalursson - Age 29 - Náhvarðvíkur Bæ IF - Hús Náhvalur
The key figure of Dietar Eygenroy will lead the way from the centre of the park for the Dukes, having both top flight Polarian football experience, as well as experience playing in the TQCC for Jan Mayen Islanders, and will surely be instrumental in any victories the Dukes manage to get under their belt. This central line of 'the back nine' will serve as a way of mopping up any attackers attempting to find space between the midfield and defence.

WINGERS
#7 - MR - Karl Justinussen - Age 31 - Leiknir Reykjanesur - Hvítabjörninn Hús
#16 - ML - Ragnar Guðmundursson - Age 28 - Hrafninn Knattspyrnufélag - Hús Hrafninn
Here for the option of having wide midfielders rather than making the first team, Justinussen and Guðmundursson are not the fastest winger in the world, but still have a good cross and are tough to get past on the wing provided they're not pushed too far forwards. Which, knowing Magerin, I can't see happening all too often unless a counter-attack is in full swing.

FRONT LINE
#6 - MC - Jón Ragnarsson - Age 30 - Juvapanam (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu) - Hús Hrafninn
#11 - AMC - Ingvar Sigurhelgason - Age 20 - FC Cape St Paul (Polar Islandstates) - Hús Náhvalur
#21 - MC - Skarphéðinn Jóhannsson - Age 32 - RKA Hvalabátum - Hús Náhvalur

#14 - AMC - Oddi Jónatan - Age 28 - Leiknir Reykjanesur - Hvítabjörninn Hús
#15 - MC - Arnljótur Rosenmeyersson - Age 26 - Hreindýrsal Stríðsmaður - Hús Hreindýr
With no wide attackers in the starting lineup, Magerin has opted to play the quick and full of tricks Siguerhelgason through the middle, well away from his favoured left wing. The ever dependable Ragnarsson will harry and dictate pace in the centre of the park, showing the kind of form that caused Juvapanam to sign him up at the start of the other season. Jóhannsson is promoted to the starting lineup as a quirk of formation, whilst Rosenmeyersson is another winger adopted to the centre of the park for the prurpose of counter attack.

STRIKERS
#9 - ST - Vagn Rosenmeyer - Age 24 - Resolute Storm 1913 FC (Polar Islandstates) - Hús Hreindýr
#10 - ST - Gunnar Mackenzie - Age 24 - FC Cape St Paul (Polar Islandstates) - Hús Hrafninn
#19 - ST - Jon Dahl Pettersen - Age 29 - FC Fetlar (Polar Islandstates) - Hús Náhvalur
The attack for Bleak Rock is a strong and young one, with new Resolute signing Rosenmeyer the key outlet for attacks and the frequent hero of the side, and young starlet Gunnar Mackenzie - having chosen his Blockhead nationality over his Polarian one after independence was granted - will be looking to show the Terns exactly what they're missing should he have the chance to come on to either partner Rosenmeyer or replace him to us his slightly superior pace to fit into Magerin's masterplan.

Coach

Francisco Martinez
Former national team boss of his native Starblaydia, renowned throughout Rushmore following his great successes as player and coach in Nethertopia. More so after leading the Corsairs to a Copa Rushmori triumph.

Staff

Jésus Vazquez, Mario Quiñónez & Ernesto Fariás
A triumvirate of former internationals appointed to assist the new boss. Vazquez is a former midfield star currently on the coaching staff at Clube Comercial in Cafundéu. Fariás rattled in 65 goals for the national side, this is his first coaching appointment. Quiñónez is occasional Under-21 Boss.

Talent
Style Modifier = +1
Formation 4-2-3-1
.

GK: 1. José Antonio Leiva (27) - Alianza Jucaro
Big, imposing shot stopper who played a key part in his club side keeping the SuperLiga's meanest defence last season.

DR: 2. Toni Siqueira (22) - Ciudad Soluca
Gallivanting right sided fallback with pace to burn and technique that comes from being half Cafundelense.
DRC: 5. Víctor Monzón (35) - Ciudad Soluca
A rare survivor from the last Sargossa squad. Then he was a fresh faced young defender. Now 'Big Vic' is the experienced leader of the squad and the obvious choice for captain.
DLC: 6. Javi Aguilar (29) - Royal Vosaroni Antenelli (Erathore)
Centreback with the silky ball skills of a Pocoan masseuse. Has plenty of pace which could be crucial when partnered with the aging Monzón.
DL: 3. Mariano Mansilla (26) - Pythons (Queer Poco el Mono Ara)
The boy from the barrios has made good and become a popular figure with the San Marquez faithful.

MC: 4. Lucas Cáceres (28) - El Nacional
There's nothing too showy about Lucas. He's happy to shield the back four all day long. Some might label him a one trick pony. El Nacional label him as vital.
MC: 8. Luís Ángel Landín (27) - Alianza Jucaro
Neat and tidy midfield player who's played a key part in Alianza's Copa Sargossa win last season. Looking forward to showing off his skills to the wider range in the next Unity League.

AMR: 7. Andrés Guerrón (24) - Chastings Heights (Civil Citizenry)
Right sided winger with pace that could put Olympic medallists to shame. If his delivery was as good he'd be world class.
AMC: 10. Matías Montiel (21) - Ciudad Soluca
Scored 42 goals last season. Forty. Two. Admittedly they were in some noddy regional league but that didn't stop giants Ciudad snapping him up. Impressed at the last DBC.
AML: 11. Alejandro Echeverría (22) - Ciudad Soluca
This boy's a bit special and we're not talking in the crash helmet and crayons sense. Stick him anywhere in the attacking third and he can make something happen. Ciudad reportedly spent silly money to bring him in from Daroca Marinos.

FC: 9. Celso Esquivel (25) - Royal Vosaroni Antenelli (Erathore)
A penalty area predator who led the goalscoring charts last year despite turning out for the modest Marinos. Recently left the Estadio Bolero to try his feet in Erathore.

GK: 13. Raúl Navas (33) - Dunas Del Sol
DRC: 12. Miguel Bonilla (33) - El Nacional
DC: 22. Bruno Trejo (22) - Deportivo Cordova
DLC: 17. Raúl Salas (28) - Dínamo Maturín
D/ML: 19. Rubén Rochina (21) - El Nacional
MC: 15. Rubén Barrios (26) - Porto Alegro Azul
MRC: 16. Iván Albacar (32) - Alianza Jucaro
AMR: 20. Sergio Tejera (20) - Dínamo Maturín
AMLC: 14. Rubén Cuéllar (27) - Ciudad Soluca

GK- #18 Jara
DF- #15 Xú
DF- #16 Ortozo
MF- #14 Ebondo
MF- #26 Boateng
MF- #7 Enevoldsen
FW- #10 Palacious

Roster: (Organized as a depth chart)
Starters are in bold

Goalkeepers:

#1 Gorduchev- Age 33- Draga Portamonense
The starting 'keeper since the national team's debut, he is a sturdy and reliable player, always playing well regardless of the rest of his team. Deserved vice captain.
#18 Jara- Age 29- Esporte Clube Porta
#41 Gomiz- Age 29- Fiorentino Rigo

Defenders:

#2 Marx-Bradley- Age 28- Draga Portamonense
Very experienced and level-headed, undoubted captain of defense. Good passing and marking, a big presence on the field.
#3 Luyindula- Age 27- Arro (Erathore)
The most deep-lying of all the defense, he is a skilled defender with excellent positioning, clearing, and one-on-one situations. Crucial part of the defensive unit.
#5 Assou-Bassong- Age 28- Fiorentino Rigo
The lanky defender is till fighting to secure his place in the starting XI, but definitely deserves it with good marking and a beastly shot. Overpowers others with his size, but he still seems to be mastering his own body and gets booked more often than he should.
#15 Xú- Age 22- Draga Portamonense
#16 Ortozo- Age 21- Esporte Clube Porta
#17 Ortega- Age 27- Esporte Clube Albacera
#25 Mexes- Age 26- Cap Nordique (Cotdelapoms)

Midfielders:

#4 Vrhovnek- Age 32- Charzzan (Erathore)
A true national team vet, Vrhovnek is team captain for a reason. Works his hardest in every game, and has great all-around skills. Age seems to be catching up with him, though, and he's not as fast as he used to be.
#20 Guarcouff- Age 25- Draga Portamonense
Seeming very experienced while he is still young, Guarcouff has amazing dribbling and passing skills, and is great at setting teammates up in front of goal. Probably considered the star of the national team, though his temper can sometimes get out of control, as he is still a cat.
#8 Cristian- Age 29- Esporte Clube Porta
Cristian is a slide-tackle expert, rarely getting booked while taking down even the most skilled forwards. He could be a defender as well, but his skills going forward as well make him a valuable part of the midfield.
#6 Yamamoto- Age 27- Draga Portamonense
A vital part of the national team, the speedy winger is excellent with crosses and shooting, and can be found anywhere on the field at any time. His small size can see him shut out by other players, but he makes up for that with an intelligent style of play. However, he is getting slower with age, and his amazing work rate sees him often subbed off at half time.
#40 Touré- Age 25- Draga Portamonense
The skilled winger is still relatively inexperienced, but is great at crossing, passing, and shooting. He often makes his way into the middle of the field and ends up on the score sheet, but can also be caught out of position. He is very athletic, but does not have much defensive skills, focusing on all attack.
#7 Enevoldsen- Age 29- Fiorentino Rigo
#14 Ebondo- Age 23- Esporte Clube Porta
#26 Boateng- Age 24- Fiorentino Rigo
#13 Silvo- Age 29- Fiorentino Rigo

Forwards:

#28 Bilaydinetov- Age 31- Charrzzan (Erathore)
The dynamic forward plays as a supporting role to striker Fico, but often finds himself on the score sheet due to his great shooting and dribbling. Has good experience from the Erathi league, although sometimes has problems with injury due to age.
#12 Fico- Age 23- Astillero (The Golden Tamarind)
The young striker is the future and present of Ocel0t's strike force, with amazing talent at a young age. He is still immature, however, and will look to veteran Bilaydinetov for guidance. With a great shot and an unmatched dribbling ability, his only weakness is that he goes for glory when others may be better positioned, and his passing may need improvement.
#10 Palacious- Age 24- Draga Portamonense
#11 Wölf- Age 24- Draga Portamonense

Kernansquillec's Squad for the 57th World Cup

General Information
Kernansquillec finished 4th at the 42nd Baptism of Fire. With the League System in Kernansquillec improving the team's players are getting more expierience. Despite a poor start to the World Cup qualifing with the appointment of Chappell Robert as coach they went on to beat every single team with the exception of Dorian and Sonya, the group winners, and Erathore, who got into the playoff place. In the most recent WWC tournament, the 48th Cup of Harmony the Kernansquillecans kept up their good form winning their group beating co-hosts Civil Citizenry on the way and went into the quarter-finals before losing. They will be looking to try and nick that 2nd place at this World Cup Qualifing, thought a top 3 finish would be acceptable.

Kernansquillec play forward going football with a style modifier of +3.0 in a 4-4-2 formation. The team is the same that got into the Cup of harmony Quarter Finals but a few changes to the starting Xi have been made. They are ranked 57th going into this World Cup Qualifing.

Kernansquillec are known to fans as the Green and Whites, the Kers or the Green Stalions. A big number of fans follow the team around and football is realy more of a religion in Kernansquillec than a pass-time. If Kernansquillec are playing at least one of the stands will be green.

Starting XI
K.Suutari-Jääskö K.Holmes
F.Matignon R.Roseby W.Harold A.Lilac
L.Dunn G.Connor (C) D.Boursier A.Glover
Z.Larivière (GK)

Substitutes
GK: S.Henderson
DEF: H.Walker T.Tyler J.Sweeper
MID: J.Wyatt T.Kiki R.Francoeur X.Cressac P.Masson
FWD: P.Rolland J.Grosventre L.Kent

Squad Information

Zacharie LARIVIERE GK, n.13, 19 years old.
Zacharie broke into the starting XI under new coach Chappell Robert during the last World Cup qualifing. After only conceading 11 goals in 8 games at the Cup of Harmony he has made a solid start to his international career and will be looking to improve a lot more in this tournament.

Alex GLOVER RB, n.12, 23 years old.
Alex has recently broken into the first team from the bench. He has a good futur ahead of him but he isn't quite at his peak yet. A decent right back.

Louis DUNN LB, n.18, 25 years old.
The 25 year old finaly got his spot in the starting XI at the Cup of Harmony. So far his has 8 starts for his country and has put in some solid performances. He is sometimes a bit slow on his feet.

Didier BOURSIER CB, n.4, 24 years old.
Didier is a very good young center back. Gaining more and more experience from playing world class football alongside captain Gary he is a key player in central defence.

Gary CONNOR CB, n.5, 28 years old, captain.
Gary is the captain of the team and gives a massive confidence boost to his team. He is also a rock in defence and is a master of tackling and heading. Attackers will have to do something special to get past this lad.

Rory ROSEBY CM, n.17, 19 years old.
He got into the side after Cressac got a knock, and he hasn't let go of that spot since. He loves to play the ball out from the back and is more defensive minded than most midfielders in the squad.

Wagbo HAROLD Substitute CM, n.6, 31 years old.
A solid midfielder, Wagbo was part of a team which turned around their performance at the last World Cup. Despite aproaching the end of his peak years he is still very strong in the middle of the park and is a great playmaker.

Fernando MATIGNON LM, n.8, 25 years old.
Fernando is a decent winger who can send in powerful crosses. He is currantly stuguling a bit and he'd better pick up his form soon or risk being replaced.

Adam LILAC RM, n.9, 20 years old, Third Captain.
One of the great players on the team. The 20 year old has speed, technique, power and sends in accurate crosses. Nearly every single full-back hates playing against Adam. He is also the free-kicker and penalty taker for the team in most cases.

Kai HOLMES CF, n.10, 17 years old.
One of the U21 graduates who is now a key player of the team. With a goal ratio of around 1 per game he knows how to find space, how to shot, and how to score. He is known as "The Dog" to defenders as he never leaves them alone. He is currantly the nation's top goalscorer with 25 goals in 32 games.

Kimmo SUUTARI-JÄÄSKÖ CF, n.11, 15 years old.
Kimmo is destined to become one of the world's greatest. At 15 he's the youngest player to play for the Senior and U21 teams. He made his first U18 appearance at 14. A year later he's in the starting XI of a World Cup team. 17 senior team goals are to his name already and his partenship with Holmes is flourising. He is also the first major Kernansquillecan player to go and play overseas at Nicostrato in Erathore.

Stuart HENDERSON Substitute GK, n.1, 34 years old.
Stuart is a veteran goalkeeper that is always a rock at the back of the defence. After being overtaken by young Larivière who claimed the spot between the posts Henderson is now looking at the end of his international career but could still feature.

Jack SWEEPER Substitute LB, n.3, 27 years old.
Jack has been a regular member of the senior side but age is starting to catch up and he only realy has an other couple of years before he starts losing his skill. But for the moment he is a good left back and only lost out on his spot in the starting XI during the Cup of Harmony after some disapointing performances.

Xarles CRESSAC Substitute CM, n.6, 20 years old, vice-captain.
The U21 captain broke into the team during the 42nd Baptism of Fire. He is a huge talent and is very good in midfield but got dropped after an ingury and with Roseby in fine form his spot in midfield is taken but he will definatly feature even if it is from the bench. He is still the vice captain however.

Hector WALKER Substitute RB, n.12, 17 years old.

Tyler TYLER Substitute CB, n.14, 34 years old.

Thomas KIKI Substitute LM, n.15, 26 years old.

Jacob WYATT Substitute RM, n.16, 31 years old.

Rémy FRANCOEUR Substitute CM, n.19, 22 years old.
Rémy made his first start in this World Cup. He's had some very good apperances off the bench, now let's hope he can do the same from the start. He is the midfield player who generaly starts the attacks, and finishes some of them as well.

John GROSVENTRE Substitute CF, n.20, 24 years old.

Peter ROLLAND Substitue CF, n.21, 28 years old.

Lewis KENT Substitute CF, n.22, 36 years old.

Pierpont MASSON Substitute CM, n.23, 31 years old.

The Coaches

Chappell ROBERT, Manager
He was the coach of the U21 team which he led to 2 succesive Di Bradini Cup quarter-finals. After the dismisal of Dean Harold the 53 year old was drafted in for the rest of the World Cup where he turned the team's performance around dramaticly. He was then offered the job permantly and after a good second half to the World Cup Qualifing and a great Cup of Harmony he is the man loved by all at the moment.

Liliana NAPOLITANI, Assistant Manager
One of the two only women in the Men's Senior Team set up, she is a talented assistant who knows everything there is about tactics and defending. You probably won't see her on the TV because she'll be next to the players telling them where to go, what to do, and where the weaknesses of the opposition are.

The Kit
Image
From left to right: Home Kit, Away Kit, Goalkeeper Kit

A big thanks to MytaStar Sportswear for the official Kernansquillecan home kit and to Kernansquillec's own K Kits for the Away and GK's kits.

The Stadium

Fans may access the stadium by metro from the whole city or via the direct line from the airport, by train from the station just 500m from the stadium, or by car or bus thanks to the huge car park next to the stadium. Many hotels, hostels, resterants and leisure centers are open for buisness so fans will always be well looked after in Kernansquillec.

Experience and power are words that sum up this huge frame of a centre back

MYTANNION - World Cup 57 Squad.

'Just can't seem to get enough of Hoops!'

Please remember when RPing that in Mytannion, the year is 1995 - and that the players are very determined and fiery, you go in hard on them though and win the ball fairly, they'll be fine with it. If you foul them and then don't acknowledge it, they'll get up and punch you. Quite simple really. So when RPing, you can include that. Also, remember that Mytanar fans are hooligans - at whatever level of football. They chant very, very loud and often cause trouble. They light-up flares often too. If you want to include that, go ahead and be my guest. Oh and we're also used to snow and ice too, as that is our own climate so if it is very hot, we could be in trouble, whereas colder conditions don't faze our players.

Details go like this: Number, Name, Position, Age, Club Team, Caps/Goals.

First XI.
1. Demy de Zooijt (GK), 22, East Franz Athletic (Polar Islandstates), 4/0.
A new, young goalkeeper who is really being thrown in at the deep-end in international football. He is expected to be the number one 'keeper for the national side, after his exceptional club form for Polarian Divisjon One champions, East Franz Athletic - he got a lot of clean sheets last season and was at the helm of the tightest defence in the Polarian league last season. He has top-class reflexes and his positioning is brilliant too, he is prone to flap at crosses a bit, even still - but this should improve as he continues to get more experience at the highest level of football. He hasn't made an appearance for the senior national team and so - this really will be a baptism of fire for him as he comes up against some of the nation's biggest rivals.

2. Adrian Njulae (LB), 26, Cosmopolitan Albionpool (Cotdelapoms), 86/1.
He has won one Mytanar Takillega and one Trophie del Nakional in his career - as well as earning an M(C)15 million move to one of the most successful Cotdelapomais teams. Njulae is a quick, attacking fullback who times his tackling well. His marking is decent but he isn't the best in the air and that has left him in a bit of trouble from time-to-time. He gets down the wing well however, and often whips balls in which are converted into goals. He takes free-kicks when they are from positions on the left, where the ball can be crossed in from. This as well as being one of the most-capped Mytanar players ever, mean that he is surely on the path to being a Mytanar footballing legend.

3. Speic Fyfat (CB), 29, Atletico Jutense (Cafundeu), 86/2.
A strong, strong centre-back. He's great in the air and times his tackles to precision. He has good anticipation too and seems to know where the ball will be a few seconds before it gets there, so his top class positioning and marking make him an asset to any team. He currently plays for Atletico Jutense in Cafundeu which shows the quality the player has. He possibly lacks a bit of pace but that apparently doesn't matter to national team coach, Theo Wekkler. Fyfat has been capped 68 times and has scored 2 goals, both of his goals being headers of course. He is a quiet player, who tries to stay away from the media spotlight and enjoy his privacy - although as he is in the national side; this probably doesn't happen as much as he likes. He is coming into the peak of his career and so should be a massively important player from now on.

4. Swen Kislasson (CB), 26, Olympique du Fontvielle (Valladares), 87/3.
The 26-year old helped his club side to the win of the King's Shield a few years back (one of the only trophies the club has even won) and is probably the best fullback that Mytannion has ever produced - he now has moved into the middle and partners Fyfat as a centre-back, he is strong and times his challenges well - he isn't amazing in the air, but his pace and tackling make up for this. As a fullback he stays back and helps the defence and commands the team well. He is quick, and his long-range shooting is extraordinary - he is famed for blasting in 30+ yard free-kicks. He is extremely intelligent and can read the game before things have happened. He is strong and a good tackler meaning he is a near-perfect fullback. He could probably get forward better, but that isn't really his game. He is also the vice-captain of the national side.

5. Sebastian Reindorf (RB), 25, Bravia Motors (Swartaz), 13/0.
He is a quick fullback, and gets down the wing brilliantly. He is a very offensive fullback and is known for gut-busting runs down the wing. He pops up with the occasional goal because of this and gets a lot of assists. His tackling isn't the best, but he marks up well and is good in the air - which isn't all that normal for a fullback. He has moved to Bravia Motors recently and has done very well for them since he has moved. He is a good fullback, but he may need to improve a bit more on his defensive skills, his tackling should be improved - and perhaps his positioning on set-pieces and other things like that too.

6. Niek van der Smeejin (DM), 23, Hastmead Diamante CFC (Osarius), 24/2.
Niek van der Smeejin is only 23 and yet is already a huge part of the national side. He is touted as a future national team captain and this is mainly because of his never-say-die attitude. He will not admit defeat and chases everything, even if it looks like it is a lost cause. He is a tough tackler, and is clever when he is on the ball - sprinting quickly and looking for good passes. He is a good crosser of the ball too and regularly runs out wide to dink a ball in, and can take good free-kicks. He has helped Hastmead Diamante to consecutive international competition spot finishes in recent years - he has 20 caps and 2 goals for the national side. He really is a quality player and is one of the cleanest players out there, on and off the field - he tackles hard, but tackles well - and off the field he stays out of trouble and is generally a great guy.

8. Filip Bosc (CM), 24, Jan Mayen Islanders (Polar Islandstates), 25/7.
Filip is a creative midfielder, who tends to play as a defensive midfielder. Theo Wekkler has picked him as a central midfielder. He plays deep and waits for the ball - he then spreads the play brilliantly. He is quite strong defensively too, he can break-up the play. He signed for Jan Mayen Islanders a few seasons ago, who play in Polar Islandstates - and was expected to help them to a title as one of their best players - he completed his goals and helped them lift the trophy twice in the past few seasons and also won the Foreign Player of the Season award for his efforts. He is a great passer, and has very accurate shooting too - which has led to Theo Wekkler playing him in a more advanced role to the one he was used at Thessia '23 and he is given more licence to roam than he is at Jan Mayen.

7. Robin Hjik (CM), 24, Atletik Thessia, 90/23.
Probably the most important member of the national side by quite a bit. He is a complete midfielder and probably the best Mytanar player ever. He has played 90 games for Mytannion and has scored 23 goals. He has won 9 trophies even at his young age - he has been in the Mytanar public spotlight for around 8 years. At Atletik Thessia he has won 4 Mytanar Takillegas, one Rushmore Copa de Campeones and 4 Trophie del Nakionals. He has played 220 games for his club side, which is the record for most games played and has also scored 87 goals. He is really, really quick - he has bags of pace. He is a strong player, and uses this well - holding players of the ball, he tackles well too - he is very tough. He could probably run all day, as his stamina reserves are seemingly endless. He has pin-point passing and can really spray the ball over long-range. He also has a very powerful shot and often takes free-kicks because of this. He is a good mix of hard-work and graft and creativity and finesse. He is extremely influential both in football and outside of football, and is the national team captain. He is the hero to millions of Mytanars and will surely be the best Mytanar footballer ever, even when players come after him.

10. Benoit Visoisse (LW), 22, Eldorado (Cafundeu), 24/1.
He is an extremely versatile player and is very useful because of this. He is creative too, and therefore assists in a whole lot of goals. In his first couple of seasons in the Mytanar Takillega - before moving to Eldorado in Cafundeu - pundits ran out of superlatives to describe this player's talents. He pushed his old club side, Parr City to their first ever trophy - the Trophie del Nakional and was their player of the season in the 1991/1992 season - before Eldorado paid M(C)28 million for his services. His dribbling skills and excellent crossing means he sets-up a lot of goals for strikers in the middle. He takes corners for the national side. His pace is a huge weapon down the wing and his shots are very accurate meaning he can often chip in with a goal of his own from midfield. He is the creator of a whole lot of goals though, and is the one who takes corners for the national side.

9. Salum Merec (ST), 24, Iturributa United (Astograth), 4/3.
A real surprise call-up by the national side manager, Theo Wekkler - Merec has never really stood out before, but now he has come into the picture after Miroslav Filo has retired from international football and we don't really have a youthful striker who can lead the line on his own up at the front. Merec has had a few good seasons in the Astograthian league however, and has scored plenty of goals - mainly through is lethal combination of strength, speed and clinical finishing. His few good seasons at Urbizania Wanderers rewarded him with a move to one of the top clubs in Astograth, Iturributa United. His goalscoring needs to transfer to the international level though, or Wekkler will look like he has made a terrible mistake. His interplay with his fellow players could be improved, but at least he has the time to do that - as he'll be given a few more years until real pressure is put on him - but he sure will have to show his quality.

11. Dimitry Alixysev (RW), 25, SC Lasft (Cafundeu), 24/4.
A real goalscoring midfielder, he gets off the wing, drives towards goal and has good finishing and rarely ever when inside the box. He is a real versatile midfielder, as he is able to play on both wings and in defensive, central and attacking midfield - he is a good player to have just because of how many positions he plays - but he also has the quality to be brilliant wherever he plays, he has a whole lot of stamina - and his passing and crossing, are pure quality - he really does contribute to any team that he is in brilliantly - which is evidently true by the fact he plays in the toughest league in the world, in a top, top team. His finishing is decent enough and he shoots well from long-range too. He is a powerful player, being very strong - tall, and a tough tackler. He's good both going forward and defending, but his role in this team is mainly just to be an attacking winger, who uses his pin-point crossing to assist the attackers with their goalscoring.

Substitutes
12. Arni Scuda (GK), 20, Litala '93, 0/0.
A tall, solid goalkeeper - he relies a whole lot on his expert positioning - and is a goalkeeper, who despite being young - seems to have experience way beyond his years after being the goalkeeper for Litala '93, who have won the last two Mytanar Takillega titles - proving the quality he has - after conceding the least amount of goals in the past few seasons and keeping a lot of clean sheets in recent seasons. He relies a lot on his anticipation when making saves and so if he makes the wrong decision he could let one in as his reflexes are okay, but nowhere near the best they could be - even so, he is still a good goalkeeper.

13. Leven Koc (LB/CB), 23, Hastmead Diamante CFC (Osarius), 23/0.
He is slightly undersized as a defender and he lacks a bit of strength. He has added a whole lot more muscle and bulk in recent seasons, onto the very slight figure that was so known on the Thessia '23 pitch in the past. He is now more well known on the pitch of Hastmead Diamante in Osarius, with national side team mate Niek van der Smeejin, so them two certainly have a good on-pitch relationship. His pace and desire to win games are the two things which have helped him to become such an important player in both the national team set-up (he is a brilliant player to have on the bench) and to his club side.

14. Hannes Urz (CB/RB), 24, SK Franz Josef City (Polar Islandstates), 17/0.
He plays for SK and he is naturally a centre-back and that is where Theo Wekkler has chosen to position him. Urz is a new-breed of centre-back, he isn't strong, a good tackler and good in the air. He is all of them, and more. He can go forward and create play, he is quick and has very good finishing - which is a sign as to why he has six goals this season in eighteen appearances at club level from right-back. He plays as if he were 34 not 24 and commands a sense of respect on the pitch off both his team mates and the opposition's players which really is truly majestic and shows the true qualities of leadership and could really be a future national team captain.

15. Mirko Tasecchi (DM/CM), 21, Atletik Thessia, 16/3.
He is the future. When Hjik and Bosc are gone, he'll be the one leading this team forward. He's only three years younger, but he's the sort of player any team would love to have - whatever age they are. He doesn't run himself into the ground, he's too clever for that - he personifies creativity, he's the one who slips through the through balls, the one who does the lovely little chip over the defence, the one who whips in a great cross or does a little jink through a defence. He doesn't expend energy needlessly, his passing is virtually laser-guided, he doesn't need to charge through defences - he can make a chance out of nothing. He has changed his game a lot recently, as he used to be the sort of player who would chase every ball - but he has realised he has the quality to not need to do that, he can time runs, do quick dribbles, whatever - he doesn't need to use his energy chasing lost causes. This doesn't mean he is a lazy player, defensively he is a terrier - compared to when attacking he is simply an artist, he works hard to win the ball back and tackles well. He pops up with goals too, as his long-range shooting is quality.

16. Tomas Sivoli (CM/AM), 22, SK Franz Josef City (Polar Islandstates), 4/1.
He is enjoying an excellent season in the Polarian Divisjon One, getting a whole lot of assists - showing the sort of player he is, perfectly. He has great quality in his passing, and is another player who can truly create a goal out of nothing through his dribbling skill and his prowess of reading the game - which he does really well, he can tell which way the defence is shifting and where his team mates are making the runs too. His crossing is good too, and he can be the one taking the free-kicks when needed too. He doesn't get as many goals as he should, although he did in the seasons he played in the Mytanar Takillega. He's a great guy to have on the bench, with the quality has.

17. Imre Ulsson (RW/ST), 27, Sparta Albionpool (Cotdelapoms), 23/7.
He has come a long, long way since the partying, dyed hair and trouble caused in the early years of his career. This is proved with his importance to his club side Sparta (the full name is Sparta Albionpool), and his amazing goalscoring record for the national side. 7 goals in 21 games, a 1 goal every 3 games record - that is simply amazing and proves his brilliant quality. His finishing is truly his greatest quality, but he is also a big, powerful striker who can hold up the ball and also beat the defenders for pace, too. An ideal striker to bring on late in the game when a goal is what is needed. His finishing wasn't always his best stat, but he has improved it greatly recently. His interplay is also class and he can bring other players into the game with a little flick or a quick pass, he could well be the starting striker, but because of how good his crossing is too - he's great to bring on as a goalscoring winger.

18. Laze v Tuhinju (ST), 23, Decraa United, 32/7.
When he was a youngster, he was one of our first choice attackers - despite his youth. He played an integral role in our first couple of World Cups as one of the attackers who brought his team mates into the game with his towering presence and his great turn of pace, which is hugely surprising - and normally takes opposition defences by surprise too - and is what gets him his huge haul of goals each season, he has matured a lot recently and scored 20 goals in 22 games last season and has 96 goals in 116 games for his club side. He truly is a great striker, he is brilliant in the air - and has clinical finishing. It really is a shame we don't play more than one attacker as he'd slot into the system of the national team brilliantly. He could certainly add to his current tally of 5 goals in 31 games for the national team.

Reserves.
19. Rudi Holzman (GK), 25, 1896 Ebor, 34/0.
Well, he was the goalkeeper for the national team in the last World Cup. He is also the most-highest capped under-21 player ever. He's tall, has really quick reactions and makes some great saves. He has been prone to some flaps however when the ball is crossed into his area and he sometimes doesn't claim it as he should. He is an all-around nice guy though and is normally one of the ones that gets the atmosphere going inside the dressing room and is probably one of the 'fun' members in the team and has been known to play pranks on his fellow team-members.

20. Ole Gyulla (CB), 29, East Franz Athletic (Polar Islandstates), 0/0.
A tall, powerful defender. He really is one of your old-fashioned centre-backs, gets the ball out of the danger area with minimal fuss and he does it quickly. He is extremely strong and a striker would be foolish to try and beat him in the air as he uses his huge frame to maximum effect - climbing high and heading away well, before tumbling back to earth with a thud. He's a tough tackler, and is in no way scared of making a challenge. He is known for making the occasional bad challenge - sliding in hard, but that is just a big part of his game really. He is a top defender though, and in the peak of his career.

21. Fergus McKindell (DM/CM), 17, Real Minanda (Queer Poco el Mono Ara), 0/0.
He's 17?! Yeah. He's also quality. He hasn't even made an appearance for the under-21 squad before being thrown into this team. He is a huge talent and is playing for the team with the quickest ride up through the Pocoan leagues ever (we think!), a team we play - so hopefully he will know some of the players he is playing against and will be able to advise his national team team mates on how to beat the Pocoan side - especially he has played alongside and against some of their top players. We've played them so much recently it is unbelievable, though. McKindell's passing is great even at his young age, he is also a powerful player, with plenty of energy and strength. Two of his greatest qualities. He is slightly undersized, but he uses his strength to hold off opponents. He lacks a bit of speed, but that could still improve, he's only young. He's a tough tackler and possesses a fiery temper, but that is just one downside to what will be a top, top footballer.

22. Dmitri Lja (LW/ST), 27, Jan Mayen Islanders (Polar Islandstates), 7/3.
He has a lot of flair and is very creative, single-handedly dribbling his way through defences regularly. His finishing is brilliant and once he is through on goal, he usually scores. He has pace too and if a ball is played in over-the-top, he usually gets on the end of it. This success rewarded him with a M(C)24 million move to Jan Mayen Islanders in Polar Islandstates where he teamed up with Filip Bosc, his national side team-mate a few seasons ago - since then, he has helped Jan Mayen to a few titles. He is an important player in their system and an excellent reserve player to have in our side.

23. Radoslaw Famoc (ST), 29, Eldorado (Cafundeu), 75/30.
Well, he is quite simply a legend of Mytanar football. He is the highest international goalscorer for the national side. He's getting on a bit now in Mytanar terms, 29 is old for an attacker in Mytannion, they've normally peaked by then. He is still a top finisher and has a bit of pace, but he doesn't have the stamina that he did in the past and he now has even more of a penchant to get disinterested in the game and go off into his own world, but hopefully he can produce a few moments of magic like he did in the past - but that would only be as a reserve player who comes on from the bench.

Manager: Theo Wekkler, 59. He is the former manager of Atletik Thessia who are the most successful club in the history of Mytanar football. He resigned last season and now concentrates fully on the national side.

Assistant Manager: Uri Sacer, 52. The assistant manager is the one who does the scouting of players as Wekkler is managing his club side during the week. He also takes the majority of training sessions and is renowned for his no-nonsense approach - he makes the players work hard.

Attacking Coach: Lijenost Burton, 49. The famed amateur league striker, he scored 367 goals in 545 appearances in the Amateur League which was the top league before the introduction of the Mytanar Takillega (which is now the top-flight of Mytanar football). Is known to be quite lenient on his players, and focusses on keeping them fit for big games.

Midfield Coach: Danny Richardson, 65. He used to be coach of 1923 Esca, when they were the dominant force in the Amateur League. He was a midfielder when he played. He is known to wander off and drink copious amounts of alcohol rather than coach the players and leaves them to train themselves.

Defensive Coach: Alex Salmond, 60. He uses statistics to coach the defenders, working on the areas where the stats say they've been bad. He is usually visible on the sideline during games with a computer and a television screen - replaying pivotal moments to relay to the coach where mistakes have been made.

Goalkeeper Coach: Mirko Schettler, 45. The former goalkeeper for Miago City - when he was at the height of his career Miago were a force. He is fun and is known for strange training regimes that tend to work. 'Method in the madness' is the line he regularly gives reporters.

Fitness Coach: Lavdrim Yukov, 67. The former doctor, has some mad, mad methods - including repeatedly dropping buckets of freezing water over players heads and making them eat fried lizards to keep fitness. The players refuse, he simply says they won't win. This hasn't been proved either way yet.

Physio: Yohann Estev, 43. Possibly the most normal member of the team management, he does what is needed and does it by the book. If a player is unfit, he will advise the Manager not to pick him. A pretty standard physio, he isn't a miracle-worker.

ASMV World Cup 57 Roster and Information
*

You can do anything you like short of killing off players
*

Squad Name: Sea Dragons
*

Home Pitch: Stadii se Draggonnii Arcea
Image
*

Colors: Deep Sky Blue & Yellow[b]
Image
*

Style: [b]Tidal Surge 3-2-2-1-2
(-2 defensive)

*

About the Tidal Surge
The Tidal Surge formation is a hybrid style that makes use of athleticism in key “flex” positions that allow the formation to ebb and flow between styles to take advantage of personnel match-ups and break opportunities. At any point in the match the Tidal Surge can more remind viewers and opponents of a 5-3-3 (most often) or a 3 4-3 (least often) but can usually be found flexing in between those extremes.
Three key positions make this formation work. The offensive midfielder with which everyone is familiar and the two hybrid positions called “UP” backs. These two positions are a direct cross between center midfielders and outside backs. These two positions use athletic ability to move up and down the pitch changing the formation to fit the needs of current needs. Thus at any one moment the formation can resemble anything from a 3-4-3 to a 3-5-2 to a 5-3-2 creating, quite nearly, the perfect positions for almost any situations.
*

Coaching Staff
The return to “Smashmouth” footy suited the Sea Dragons just fine as they qualified for the proper of World Cup 56. Forget the fact that that they bombed out. This squad now has experience and the staff has experience as well. This could be the time for the Yellow & Blue to make a real move to join the elite at the top of the rankings. One thing is certain - this staff will have these players hitting first and not apologizing for it later.
*

Manager Mace Kinoz’gh M 54 6’2 230
Sometimes players tend to forget just how good Mace was on the pitch. But “Mr Karaoke” was the real deal. And now Mace guides a squad molded in his image. What separates Mace, and the Sea Dragons in turn, is the willingness to take chances by making hard hits. With an elite talent like Ariq’Alara causing havoc up front, he can afford to sink everyone else back when down a man - or two - and press their luck. Opposing squads had better be ready to take the hits Mace will demand to be dealt out.
*

Offensive Asst Mekybuje Unt'iau M 50 5’11 215
Unt’iau helped to mold Ariq’Alara into one of the most dangerous threats in the entire world. Now it falls to him to bring Fekelii Nab’ibakii to the forefront and create a true pair of attackers that can score with little or no support moving forward. After the success made in WC56, things are looking up. If the scoring improves the Sea Dragons and their primary defensive style will be very tough to beat.
*
Midfield Asst Nonari Em'ran'oz F 35 5’7 140
The weakest link of the Sea Dragons over the past four cups has been the erratic play of the midfield. But things did begin to solidify during the final stages of qualification last time out. Nonari has a ton of talent to work with as all three middies and both up backs return healthy for the first time since WC53. She must make the most of the physicality this unit brings so expect them to hit more like the rough and tumble defenders waiting behind them.
*
Defenders Asst Kymykera Wu’eres F 39 5’6 145
Bone crushing hits. Powerful checks. And the intense need to inflict pain on anyone dumb enough to challenge them directly. This is the group Kymy is now proud to send to the pitch. Her biggest challenge will be getting Stonewall and Lamas’Porii to make better decisions on when to hit and when to use superior positioning. She is blessed to have Un’jeru’betcii in the middle.
*
Goalkeeper Asst Koyinii Os'ina F 33 6’5 185
Another young, talented, female coach now gets her chance to shine for the national side. With a young, untested keeper who has a massive upside, and her own starting keeper from Parthenon I&T, she has every chance to make a name for herself. Keeper has always been a trouble spot for the Sea Dragons, so it would be nice to see some real talent come and keep the sheets clean.
*
Starting 11

Pos no name sex age ht wt/lbs

RS 19 Jonasei Ariq’Alara M 25 6’4 210
Built like a center back, Jonasei has turned into a commanding attacker that forces the defense to compensate against. Nearly a perfect blend of size and speed, the young forward has carved his own name in the list of great Vegai attackers. And he has also begun to turn the heads of everyone else as well. Possibly the most prominent poster displayed in all of Starblaydia shows Jonasei beating the defense for a winning goal. While the reasons for that poster’s popularity have little to do with love of the young striker, it speaks volumes that his is the face to be seen so often.

LS 17 Fekelii Nab’ibakii F 20 5’9 135
As an untested teenager Fekelii managed to shine bright in flashes. Now she has much needed experience and .her body has matured as well. With Jonasei demanding extra attention she should have plenty of opportunity to make her own mark on the face of World Cup 57.

OM 10 Kylek Ale'ack M 22 6’1 185
Kylek is a distributor from the offensive midfield who will take a shot if given proper opportunity. Now with experience, Kylek is set to lead the charge forward with his brilliant crosses. If he can improve his on-ball skills in transition he will become a very dangerous player in his own right.

RM 11 .Garoju An'ache M 28 6’2 180
Pace. That one word can describe An’ache perfectly. He is not only fast, but seems to have endless reserves of energy as he never tires on the pitch. He is becoming known for wreaking havoc on the transitioning attack as almost no one can get away from him. His footwork is improving and the sky is the limit for his talent.

LM 29 Akaok Kapekeoa(Zirikulii) M 23 6’5 210
Most Vegans will balk initially at the fact that a Zirakulii player has been included in the starting 11 - or even on the squad for that matter. But Akaok is a brilliant player in the middle of the pitch and should win over the fans quickly. The only issue is that as a Zirakulii, Akaok refuses to wear standard kits and will take the pitch in the traditional grass skirts of his people and body paint to match the Sea Dragon kits.

RUB 13 Achoino Usk'dyn'eim M 24 6’0 175
Acho has fit nicely into Kymy’s role at Right Up-back. Never truly a defender or middie, Acho has a chance to shine in the Tidal Surge and has speed to spare when running down opposing attackers. He is a hard-nosed player who is not afraid to mix it up and yet smart enough to know when he needs to do so.

LUB 14 Nelijibii Sam'roth'oq F 22 6’0 150
Quick and agile, Nelijibii could be the answer at the Left Up-back position, She truly excels at playing the ball forward which should help the attack as it breaks quickly into action.

RB 50 Ombar Stonewall(Dwarf) M 151 4’10 140 lbs
Not only has Mace brought in a Zirakulii, he has chosen to bring in a Dwarf as well. It was the right move as the Sea Dragon defenders had gotten away from their hard-hitting defensive roots. Ombar does not have a problem in that regard as he loves to make crunching hits, when they are legal of course, on unprepared human opponents.

CB 18 Laia Un’jeru’betcii F 25 5’11 158
Adrenaline junkie who plays the game with a kamikaze fearlessness. Makes up for lack of speed with effort and style. The Sea Dragons are historically known for hard hitting defenders and Laia follows that trend to a T.

LB 54 Ozyxomidruin Lamas’Porii M 22 5’10 156
Another thug on the back line, Ozyx plays with a passion most can not match. Used sparingly in the whole WC55 nightmare, he will surely help to bring the defense back to its roots as hit first ask why later players.

K 99 Sanlioch Bez’Al M 22 6’3 242
“If anyone had told Kuri’Kurii that he would have a very young, overweight, mouthy, attitude case of a reserve keeper when World Cup 55 qualifiers got underway he would have laughed in their face. Yet that is exactly the case. The reason? That very young, overweight, mouthy, attitude case of a reserve keeper allowed only one goal during the month of trials to make the squad. Not only that, but when told “Go home. You won’t be trying out this time.”, Sanlioch strode onto the pitch, asked Ki’seru politely to move out of the way, and proceeded to stop the next 22 shots from the Sea Dragon starting forwards. Could this be a reincarnation of legendary Sea Dragon Keeper Shaun Conarky? Hmmm… Mace obviously thinks so as Sanlioch has been given the starting position for WC56.”
Sanlioch lived up to the hype and is now securely the man in the net.
