Temple to the Summer Sun, Terran Derscon
Formerly the "Tzarhof"

At least it's not too cloudy. The Chief Steward sighed, the slight breeze allowing his stress to slowly fade away into the morning sun. It was an unexpected and certainly last minute order from Kaesthondheim: "Prepare the Temple for foreign heads of state immediately." Thankfully, the summer palace of the Tsar's from the Second and Third Empire constantly underwent maintenance from the on-site staff, most of them garden drones or computer engineers watching over the environmental controls.

The former Tzarhof had been built a few thousand years ago during the time of the Second Empire, under the Romanov-Saryudin Dynasty, the few times an Andropov had not been on the throne of the Amaranthine Imperium. The palace grounds used to cover an entire city, which was ravaged and destroyed as punishment for a rebellion. To add insult to injury, the funds from the seizing of the treasonous noble's estate were used to clear the city out and build a palace complex larger than some states. A throwback to the Renaissance, but with a Dersconi twist, the Neobarogothic layout, architecture, and landscaping provided a strange mix of the flamboyant, imposing, and futuristic, creating experiences ranging from the awe-inspired to the horrifying.

The various monarchs or delegates arrived at the airfield located in the south-east corner of the palace complex. The airfield itself was situated on a small hill so that incoming guests could get a panoramic view of the entire estate; the layout was chosen deliberately in order to impress upon those visiting the wealth and power of the Cosmic Throne. They were met by a palace steward and a seven-foot tall dragon-like Ekhaecan Guardian in full ceremonial armor. Normally, new guests to the palace would be taken on a walk through the palace complex to the meeting location in order to further impress upon the visitors. However, because of the short notice given to the Temple staff, it could not be brought to perfection so quickly. As such, the incoming leaders were brought to what looked like a magic circle from a cyberpunk world, further adding to the mystery of the Dersconi people. It turns out, it was a magic circle of sorts; once in the center, a quick flash teleported them to the Inner Temple of the Life-Giving Star.

The Inner Temple really was just a grand terrace located in the center of the Western Gardens, overlooking the reflecting pools and the channel that led to the sea that could be seen just in front of the horizon. Stepping off from a minor terrace several meters from the Inner Temple, the stewards led them though the garden paths lined with the mythic immortal flowers, the namesake of the Empire, and up the marble stairs to the grand terrace. The terrace itself was made out of the same marble, including the twelve pillars around the edge and the balustrades connecting them. Indeed, it seemed it all was carved out of the same gigantic stone. In the center, gold and platinum inlays depicted a sun, its rays reaching out to form galaxies located sporadically throughout the terrace. Above the sun, another perfectly circular marble stone levitated to serve as a round table for the guests, with seats around the table, one per leader, that almost seemed alive, molding to the body of the user.

As the guests arrived, servants, overseen by the Chief Steweard, brought out hors d'œuvre and drinks for the royals to nibble and sip as everyone arrived. Their host, though, was currently in the palace itself, and would likely not arrive until everyone else had time to make themselves comfortable.

Cerce Eugene Maria Danielson Tentones stepped out of the passenger plane that was specialized to his needs, allong with the Cerantian National Band and Quire, and his 12-man Honor Guard. As the band assembled allong the ornate carpet that was rolled out, they began to play 'Ode to Cerantia', merely for presentational purposes...

Honor will last Forever, Cerantia Forever Free;
Glory, in life or death, the outcome we shall see;
Power, to God on high, to my kinsmen and to me;
Honor, Glory, and Power to the land by the sea!

At this, the Cerce himself walked out, with a long line of other important figureheads of the Cerantian government. Cerce continued down the carpet as the band played the next verse....

Though Death come by trials, and turbulancy;
For Cerantia, I'll gladly pay the ultimate fee;
Our lives live forever in our Legacy;
Our children shall avenge us, for the victory!

Eugene looked upon the surrounding countryside. It is beutifull here... thought Cerce, rivaling that of even Cerantian lands... Well, it's not the land that counts, it's the people within it... The band was beggining to wrap up the last verse...

Our quest for Power, and Glory's Eternal Key;
The fight for Father's Honor to conserve our Legacy;
Reguardless of our lifelong quest, we still are true to Thee;
Long Live Cerantia, the Land of You and Me!

He took the words to heart, remembering that he was not Cerantia, but merely it's representative, and that he must always put the people above Glory, Honor, and Power. As he was done with his 'Gloryful Walk', the band boarded the plane again, and the Honor Guard moved at a liezurely pace behind Cerce, yet they were still within range to protect him if the need should arrize. He gazed upon the palace to the south-east of him, staring at it's architectual beuty. He always had an eye for the beuty of buildings. He turned, and there stood a servant of some kind, and an elaborate-looking guard, who were patiently waiting to do... something, of which he had not been formaly informed... He awaited for one of them to motion or speak up.

(Just a note before I begin if you are not fimiler with my Emperor as next to no one on this game is I suggest googling Q from Star Trek. In a nut shell a "God" in his own right and a very pompous one at that.)

Walking down the runway at the airfield is a figure in a fine all white suit with gold stitching. He seems to have just appeared on the runway. He walks in quiet solitude as he turns his head all around taking in the grounds. As the Emperor approached the steward he looked it up and down and he reached out into the air and pulled a notebook he wrote down notes on the steward not missing a single detail. And in the top left of the page he wrote "To Examine". He then noticed his less impressive human already there and his band that was playing a very noisy tune.

You human! Why travel with a band and make such a racket? It seems like a self inflating song just promise we don't have to hear it the whole time. But by and by I am the Emperor of Orwyn. I go by many titles Q, Emperor Q, Emperor Kuemerle. Take your pick I respond to all and sometimes I respond to Bill but not all that often. I heard you speak of the beautiful land I must agree it is but nothing is ever perfect...pity. Do you know where we are going from this? And aren't there supposed to be more of you humans around? What about you dragon breath? Do you know whats going on?

(This is assuming the above comment was a direct speach towards Cerce, and not a thought contained within your character)

The Cerce was startled for a moment before regaining his composure. There was nobody there a moment ago... he thought. "Ah... Well... Mr. Kuemerle, if I may call you that, the band technically is for self-inflationary purposes, and to proclaim our anthem wherever we go, be it in times of war, peace, or any variation of the two. My most sincerest appologies if the National Band caused to much of a racket." Eugene then bowed untill his back was level to the ground in Emperor Q's general direction. "You may call me Cerce, Eugene, Mr. Tentones, Cerce Eugene Tentones, or Cerce Eugene Maria Danielson Tentones. I am the King of Cerantia, Emperor of the Cerantian Military Empires, Despot of East Cracion, and Dictator of the Cracio-Sarka Empires - all bassically the same thing with different names, you know how the simple folk are with lavishing those of higher authority with names and titles. I know only that the steward before us is to lead us to our meetingplace. If you'll fallow me, I think he's starting off towards the gardens. And I don't recall ever speaking of this place as being beautiful..." What is he, some kind of mystic? God, he better not be some magician, or I will have no part in this alliance. Precedent clearly dictates that Cerantia will have no part in some cult or sorcery... thought the Cerce; I am almost sure I did not utter a word upon my arrival, only ponder thoughts... To think, that one can read minds so easily, I don't know wheather to be offended or impressed... After thinking such thoughts, he walked off towards the leading servant who would undoubtably lead him to his destination.

Alright then I guess it is a game of follow the leader for the moment. Q starts walking beside the steward So answer me this what are you and can you get me something to drink? Something with and edge? The strongest alcohol you all have around here if you can. He then falls back and walks side by side with the Cerce and talks directly to him So does your whole nation suffer the horrors of being human? And I never said your band was a bad thing. I enjoy self inflating I just have yet to find the combination of musical notes and words that do me justice. I think your band could have been louder my self give everyone something to dance to. These types of meetings tend to drag on, and with our guide Q motions to the steward I think it may be the dullest one yet. He hasn't spoken a word to me since I have been here. I would like to take this moment to ask you your opinion on something. I was looking over the preliminarily voting idea. I saw the main council gets three votes. Do you think that is they have three delegates sit on the council or their one delegate gets three votes. If the later I think it is a bit redundant. Why give a perfectly good person three votes when they can do as much good with one? Also do you find it fair that a larger nation has a greater vote in elections. My self I can see that being used to pack the elected posts with people that vote like them. Please share your thoughts I want to have a slight read on the people I have to deal with at this.

After a long flight HHIM, Empress Elizabeth was escorted out of her plane. For ten seconds the Empress had to compose herself before she walked into the dunamis, marvelous temple palace. Empress Elizabeth along with her daughter HHIH, Arcdutchess Alexus walked steadily behind their escorts to the temple. They were completly enchanted by the terrain, and the customs of the dragon like guards. They thought that they spent billions on pomp, and flamboyance the temple almost out did them!

After 10 minutes of aimlessly looking around the two Imperial women, along with their many delegates walked into the meeting hall. "Oh my, today is going to be a day of hard work. All the leaders are from diffrent worlds, and backgrounds. I only hope that we can overcome our diffrences and come to some agreement on how the IMSA should be governed!" Arcdutchess Alexus interrupts "Mother,we need to change our outfits after that long flight! We are known all around the Universe for our superior fashion, and cosmetic style. We do not need to let our reputation fall now, you are the most beautiful Empress and Head of State the universe has ever layed their eyes on. PLus, we have to change quickly we have work to do today. Will you be speaking to the leaders, or shall I speak to them?" The Empress raises up from her light rest, and replied to her daughter "Lets get ready for the conference, and then we will discus who will talk to the leaders on the behalf of Courtsland."

One hour later Empress Elizabeth and Arcdutchess Alexus step out refreshed and in a whole new outfit. They decide to wear a dark rose color skirt suit outfit, with a gold sash around them. Empress Elizabeth wears a golden hat, and gold 5 inch heals to top her outfit off. Arcdtuchess Alexus wears purple and gold 6 inch heals, the heals were made completly of gold. As they enter the conference room, they get some amazed looks from the other world leaders. Empress Elizabeth sits in her seat at the main table, she decides she will speak for Courtsland!

The boy king looked out, at the pure blue sky, the white clouds, the seemingly endless expanse. It seemed to be pure peace and nothing else, far from the battlefeild the king was leaving, complete with a wound in his arm. He missed his homeland and his people. He missed his sister, and miss scarlet! However it was at the thought of Miss Scarlet that a blush crept over his face, fondly remebering her. Her graceful smile and wonderful eyes, that seemed to dictate the peace that he felt now. The last year had changed him, from the polite, timid butler boy, to a proper king. He had seen the rise of his nation, from a tiny farming nation, to a industrial power. That brought about the real warmth in his heart, and now as he walked to the capital ship hanger he made sure to tuck his notebook well into his coat, before boarding his small vanship and made the final leg of the journey, down to the ground.

The king quickly set off down the path until he reached the temple thinking, 'Oh lord, please tell me they wont go worshiping pagan gods...' He quickly entered the temple grounds, trying his best to ignore the dragon-thingy. He may be a king, but he is also 12, and as such, a seven foot tall, whatever it was, was quite scary. After being teleported through the magic circle, he took a seat at the table and quickly removed a flask from his suit, downing it. He then hid his bandages under his coat and waited.

After a long flight, Her Highness Daphne, Archduchess of Hilborn private jet landed in the palace complex to meet the palace steward and ceremonial guard in full uniform. The Archduchess was rather impressed by the grandeur of the palace gardens and architecture and was escorted to the temple to where she thought the conference was to take place. Archduchess Daphne walk to the center a round circle as she admired the beautiful design before she thrust by a light white and appeared in a gilded terrace along with kings and queens from across the world and universe.

As the Archduchess enter the temple she felt to calming sense that she had never been privy to in the past. The Archduchess respectively walked to the center of the terrace and graciously curtsied to the heads of states as she was not a "majesty" but a high ranking member of the Bardust royal family. Archduchess Daphne then took a set next to HHIM, Empress Elizabeth of Courtsland ready to get to business.

Cerce scratched his head at Q's question. "Well, Mr. Kuemerle... We do have good relations with New Olwe, an elvish nation... and we have a few immigrants from there... so, all except those few, I guese we do all suffer from the 'horrors' of being human. However, I am quite content, if not happy, with my race, for if I lived forever, my power would go to my head and I would rule as an evil, arrogant tyrant - at least with my short lifespan I only need fulfill the role of tyrant, if you consider an ultimate ruler as such." As Eugene walked, he pondered his next words carefully, knowing that he was talking to an all powerful being of possible imortal lifespan. "They say ultimate power corrupts ultimately, and at times I feel as though I am all powerful - in a sense, I am, in my own country - but at these times I need to remind myself of my duty and responsibility and mortality, in which case I simply visit the slums of each city. I do so once a month, sometimes once a week. Cerantia is a safe nation, so I am basically free to do whatever, whenever, wherever, withought the possibility of my own people killing or otherwise harming me. When I visit these poverty-infested backstreets, it reminds me that we are not all powerful - even you, in some way, shape or form, are lacking in something - maybe it is arrogance or underestimating others or dissreguarding of those who are more numberous than you but are 'lesser' in a sense, maybe it is something else, or maybe you truly are 'perfect' - but as you said, nothing is ever perfect... Pity, isn't it? But back to the matter at hand. I think it is better to leave those more politically inclined than myself to determine if it is 3 men with 1 vote or 1 man with 3 votes. I am merely here to present Cerantia's moral code of Glory, Honor, and Power (respectively) and to ensure that Cerantia's best interest is met in this alliance, unless of coarse I would someday be ellected to hold a seat of power, in which case I would put this alliance at the same level as my care to mine own country - I do hope that they do not assign me some random duty of nonimportance. I would much rather lead an Alliance-based army or forge diplomatic bonds. I am politically inclined when it comes to country's, but not to people, it seems. That is why Cerantia is devided in three parts - me, the Emperor, who puts Cerantia's moral interests and military interests foremost; The Senate, who puts the Government's ideology and abilities first; and the Civil Representatives, who state what the people want." Cerce stopped for a moment, then carried on with "But I ramble on and distract myself from your other question. I think that it is an exelent choice to give those with more population a larger role, as having a larger population represents a larger proportion of the alliance - however, if all were equal, we would eventually deteriarate to the status of Communist pigs, and no one wants that, save maybe Communists. If all were equal, a 1 million population country could have the same power as a 1 billion population country, and they would not accurately have the same proportion as the 1 billion population country, and therefore could not vote with as much power. Ah, look - we come upon the meetingplace. Now why would there be a random circle in the middle of -." Suddenly, Cerce dissapeared when he stepped inside the circle and appeared before the looming Temple, where the leaders and representatives of a number of countries stood conversing and consuming foods. That was rather strange, thought the Cerce. As he began walking inside the Inner Temple, and gazing over the flora and fauna that was vissable outside of it, Cerce spotted a young boy who looked to be aproaching his teens.

"Why, how are you today, young man? You look rather scared of these precedings. Do you now what is about to transpire?" Cerce raised his hand to guesture towards the other delegates. "A great alliance is to be held! Is one of your parents a representative or leader of a country?"

Q talks to anyone around him at this point since his last conversation had vanished.

It is odd for humans well then again almost anyone to just disappear like that. I must figure out what caused him to disappear any why our host was so flamboyant with it. I think there should have been a mild warning what of the leaders that are motion sick.

Q then steps into the circle fully prepared for what is to happen. He then appears in the meeting space and notices not all the delegates have shown yet. He did walk to the long table and take a seat ready to get business on the table and start the meeting he was now tired of just wondering around talking. He knows there is much to cover and little time to do so. He sees up the table the Empress of Courtsland and he thinks I hope she has some ideas as the founder I expect her to. And maybe we'll get a constitution covered today.

Temple of the Summer Sun
Inner Temple

Well, what do you think so far? The Chief Steward couldn't help but work with a smile as he oversaw the arrival of the delegates and ensured that the servants took care of their needs. Observing them all by psionicly patching into the minds of his subordinate stewards, he also was connected to Veliky Kynaz Tarakh Andropov, the member of the Imperial House Andropov that was acting as host.

Nothing as of yet. They could prove to be useful, but there is also the possibility that this entire endeavor is a complete waste of time. I'm not really sure why my father suddenly is interested in the petty squabbles of a few earthbound nations. The Chief Steward chuckled to himself at the Prince's response, continuing to carry out his duties.

The steward escorting Cerce and Q rose an eyebrow at their discussion. "If I may," he interjected, with a slight bow of respect. "Your Majesty, the full quote is 'If there is any presumption, it is the other way, against the holders of power, increasing as the power increases. Historic responsibility has to make up for the want of legal responsibility. Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority: still more when you superadd the tendency or certainty of corruption by full authority. There is no worse heresy than the fact that the office sanctifies the holder of it.' It was said by Lord Acton, a former parliamentarian of...oh, what do you Terranites call it...Britain?" It was as he was speaking that the group went through the magic circle, and the steward did not break his stride even from the sudden teleportation, finishing out the thought as if nothing happened. A response to that, though, came not from the steward, but from a voice behind them at the Inner Temple.

"Lord Acton's point was that political power rarely rests in the hands of perfectly moral men, and that really, we should never trust our governments. An author several centuries later would make a modification to Acton's dictum of 'power corrupts,' changing it to instead read 'power attracts the corruptible.' A worthwhile consideration, although both are likely true." Anyone paying attention to the conversation, turning around to see the speaker, would see a man of somewhat average height approaching them from apparently nowhere. His long black and red hair reached to his waist, where an embroidered crimson sash held close his black and gold imperial robes, adorned with both crimson and gold embroidery with themes of mystic runes and dragons. A highly embroidered Ferraiolo topped the strange yet well-blended mix of the flashy and the conservative, designed to give an image of power and majesty without indulgence. Oddly enough, though, the whole person had the feint hint of transparency, as if he were a ghost that just happened to be really good at turning physical. The man gave a small bow - one of politeness without subservience - to everyone, specifically approaching Cerce.

"Sorry to butt in on your conversation. I am Grand Prince Tarakh Andropov, son of the Mahatzar. If you wish, we will have to continue this later. For now," he said a little louder, this time addressing everyone present. "Please take your seats." The Grand Prince moved to his seat at the head of the table and sat down, with the Courtsland Empress Elizabeth to his right. The final guests to arrive were being quickly ushered to their seats at the time, while all of the guards and staff members were guided off of the terrace. It was standard Dersconi policy not to allow staff or guards in the meeting area itself, both out of security concerns and conversational ones; it was easier to get things done with less people involved. The only guards present, then, were two Ekhaecan Guardians behind Tarakh's seat, and one Ekhaecan at each stone pillar.

"First off, thank you all for coming today, I hope our hospitality so far has been acceptable. Secondly, I'd like to thank Her Majesty, Empress Elizabeth, for coming up with the idea in the first place. Hopefully, we will be able to accomplish something useful today."

1. When I have text in color, it means that it is telepathic communication. You are not able to perceive it happening. Blue is for normal telepathy, red is for demonic telepathy, and purple is telepathy from my Imperial family.

2. If you have not posted your arrival, that's fine. Just assume you're there by the time Tarakh starts speaking. Arrival posts are tedious, anyway.

At the speaking of the steward, who had presented himself as none other than Grand Prince Tarakh Andropov, whom he guessed was the benefactor of this meeting, Cerce turned away from the pre-teen whom he had previously questioned. He guesed he would soon find out why such a young fellow was at such a place at such a time. He took his seat next to the man (or at least Eugene thought he was a man) who had called himself Q, who was to his right, and on his lieft... the boy? Maybe he is... ah, I see now thought Cerce. A young king. I remember when I was 15 and the throne was thrust upon me... Hectic times... Must be hard for this one, he looks younger than I was when I had to take up the mantle...

Address to the Members!

HHIM, Her Holy Imperial Majesty, Empress Elizabeth stands to address the delegation. "Great leaders of this newly birthed alliance, I stand before you in respect due to each of you. I am pleased to serve as Electoral Empress for the time being, until we start elections. But first we have some business to attend to, number one I have been hesring talk of the voting rights. I see that some nations do not agree with The Allliance Prince& Princess Council members each individualy should have 3 votes, and that populations with 500 million and above recieve 2 votes each, and nations with populations below 500 million recieve 1 vote. I set this numerical method in place so that the ones who are of more wisdom, knowledge, and most of all experience could have an important say in elections. Too many times we let the senior members fall away. This was not to punish the smaller nations or to raise one nation higher than the other. It was put in place for a better way of picking a more benevolent, dunamis, chrismatic, and intelligent leader. But I am willing for changes to the election process after all this is an alliance we are all equal! So please state your changes now.

Cerce stood to announce his proposed change. "My liege.... no, wait, Miss Empress... no, that's... You know what? That should be the first order of buisiness. What are we to adress the Electoral Emperor/Empress, and the Electoral King/Queen? Also, I wish to present a change in the name and how princes sand princesses are appointed. Instead of princes/princesses, I suggest that instead they be reffered to as Vassals, as prince/princess refers to a blood relation, and a vassal is appointed by a monarch or emperor. Noting that vassals are, by rule of thumb, appointed and not ellected, and that this is an alliance of Empires, not Repbulics, Vassals should be appointed by the Electoral Emperor/Empress and the Electoral Monarch. Noting that since they both differ in power, I suggest that the Emperor/Empress can appoint 8-10 vassals, and the Monarch can appoint 4-2 vassals. THis, of coarse, is just a suggestion, as I do not want this to turn into a democracy of empires, as this would not do. Emperors and Monarchs need imperial and monarchic powers, and vassals do not run for office, except for maybe trying to gain good relations with the Electoral Empress/Emperor and Electoral Monarch. Does this seam as a good idea to you all?"

Your Imperial Majesty I do agree members that are more experienced and wise have a greater say, but I do not believe basing it on size is the way to do that. I suggest it be worked out by time and loyalty to the cause. I do question why give one person 3 votes when it does no more then one, all it does it make larger numbers. On another note appointing to the council is not a half bad idea but I fear how that could lead to what many would call favoritism and packing the council. A system I like is that the offices such as the Imperial Ambassador, Treasurer, and the like be appointed by the Electoral Emperor/Empress and King/Queen respectively. And in that the council can form a list of what is in their minds the best candidate for the job and advise the electoral position in their appointments.

The king stood bowing before saying, "If I may ask, is it too late for I to run for a position as a prince?" Before bowing once more and sitting. His headache had returned and he leaned back in his chair in an attempt to ignore it. 'This is going to be a very long day....' He thought, coughing slightly. He felt his head pound again like a battering ram was trying to crack his bleeding skull. The king tilted his bowler forward infront of his eyes and attempted to relax. His started to feel better and he began to tune out those around him, somtimes adults were so boaring. Unfortunatly as he began to slip into sleep, so did the notebook from his coat and onto the table. The tired king failed to even notice it.

"I agree with my friend here," said Cerce, who had not sat back down after his last statement, "that favoritism is something that needs be avoided, but the ultimate power needs to be to the Emperor/Empress, and then to the Monarch, and I think that it is they that should better determine the heads of the Vassals. Now, if we were to change this to a Senate, I would have no problem. You see, I am a natural born Cerantian, and I take everything litterally, and Prince's and Princesses have blood relations, Lords, Ladies, and other Vassals are appointed by leaders, so in order for the 12 representatives to be electorally decided, I feel as if the name change needs to be to a Senator instead of a Vassal, Prince, or Princess, otherwise ususpecting Outsiders may get the wrong impression. If this name change is acceptable, I would have no problem with what Mr. Q has presented us with. Might I also suggest that a triumvate be formed if the Emperor/Empress and Monarch are unable to fullfill their duties, with the heads of the triumvate being the Imperial Ambassador/Leader of Foreign Affairs, Treasurer, and Alliance High General, and then having the Senate, or the Vassals, or the Princes(es), or whatever name may be given to them taking over if the triumvate cannot fullfill their duties?" Cerce had had a long day. He sat down, and noticed a notebook had slid across the desk in front of him...

OOC: This has been done with Grandtaria's permission
Cerce looked at the notebook, then looked at the child king of Grandtaria, then back again. He looked around at the debators, made sure no one was watching, and took the notebook. He slowly and carefully took the notebook... Opened it... and flipped through the pages. Inside were various pictures of infrastructure, basic military designs and... What was this? Cerce looked up from the notebook, seeing that no one was watching. He looked back in the notebook, seeing a detailed design of something of immense power...

Image

Cerce had seen nothing like it... Was it a spaceship, as the Outsiders called it? He did not know... But he was going to find out. Checking once again to make sure no one was watching, he carefully tore the page from the notebook, and then slipped a 1,000,000 Cerca check into the notebook where the old page had been, and slid the notebook back to it's original position. He then went back to the discussion at hand...

The Grand Prince watched the young monarchs with interest, allowing others to speak first in order to get a handle as to their approach to the situation. Some of the arguments made were flat out baffling: how does a larger population in a nation in any way make a nation somehow wiser? Granted, having a larger population, and the ability to support that population, would mean the nation would have greater influence simply by being more powerful, but the wiser aspect was simply absurd.

Aside from the issues, Tarakh became slightly annoyed at the King of Grandtaria slipping asleep. A head of state showing such rude behavior to potential allies is neither a powerful nor reliable leader, and is not someone that could be trusted in times of need. The whole notebook situation made things worse. Of course, Cerce would know that Tarakh himself was not looking, but what Cerce likely didn't know, as it seemed no one at the table was familiar with the races that make up the Amaranthine Imperium, was that Tarakh was also tapped into the consciousnesses of the various Ekhaecan standing around the stone temple, and one of them did see, and thus Tarakh saw as well. Of course, the boy-king's incompetence was his own fault, and the Velikiy Knyaz would certainly do nothing about it, or even acknowledge the situation ever happened.

There was one situation Tarakh wished to discuss, though. "King Cerce - if I may call you that? - there is no need to change the title of prince to vassal. IF you recall your Terran history, there was a time in your planet's history in which Napoleon Bonaparte ruled a country you Terranites call 'France.' His awarding of the title 'Prince of the Empire' was precisely as we award it here. This tradition carries on even in the multinational Empire of which Derscon is a part, the Greater Prussian Empire. While what you speak may be tradition in your nation, King Cerce, it is not necessarily the case in all nations." He paused a minute to let his words sink in before continuing onto the next topic.

"As for the matter of population...I believe population of a nation should be taken into consideration, but not out of any sense of being 'wise;' that is silly. However, a society with a large population that can sustain said population clearly is a powerful nation, and deserves greater influence. Otherwise, you run the risk of chasing the powerful nations away, and you are left with a weak shell of an alliance. I'm not saying that intelligence or wisdom of a candidate should not play a role - they most certainly should - but population is not the way to go about this."

While the Andropov prince was addressing the council, the Chief Steward quietly came up behind the King of Grandtaria, speaking softly to him. "Excuse me, Your Majesty, are you feeling ill? Is there anything I can get for you?"

The king shuttered slightly and grasped his arm in agony, as it banged against his chairback. "N-no..." Said the king sitting up , "I will be fine, perhaps some water." He said as he gingerly removing his hand from his shoulder, were the bayonet had got him. He then said, "Actually, could you show me where I could find some fresh cloth strips." He then coughed slightly, revealing speaks of blood in his handkerchief, "Blast, the internal bleeding still has not stopped." he muttered, a tad too loudly. 'Im too young to command my armys in this bothersome war.' He thought, reopening his ears to the debate.

The Chief Steward wiped a worried look off his face. It would do the young King no good to suddenly have such attention drawn to him. "Certainly, Your Majesty. I can take you to a dressing room inside the palace where you may find what you need." Still mildly worried, the Chief Steward connected with Tarakh. I think he's still injured from something, possibly requiring medical attention.

Very well. Once inside, if the King allows, take him to the medical facility here at the palace and patch him up. If he's not dead yet, we can still fix it, or at least patch it up a little.

"Tha..Thank you.." The King said feeling slightly weak, stood up, gave his appologys to the other royalty, and followed the Chief Steward. "This complex is astounding!" Said the young king quitely, before checking his note book. Seeing it was still there he decided not to bother with it and tucked it back away, safely in his overcoat. As he withdrew his hand, however, he found a small amout of blood on them as well. "Blast it to dithers, the bandages are starting to bleed through." He muttered concered.

The Archduchess Daphne had listened intensely over the past debates and had gathered a few concerns that came up and previous topics His Majesty King Wilfrid II had requested she address to the council. Archduchess Daphne was a short women but as she stood and made her presence that became of little concern to her, "Well." archduchess exclaimed in a respectfully tone but with a sharp eye on the Grandtarian King limped off. Regardless of how brave one may been, the Archduchess saw it to be rather rude and pretentious for the boy king to run into the meeting knowing that he is in bad shape and disrupting the meeting. "My most noble and honorable friends,the Kingdom of Bardust takes the position that this debate over the princely titles and such is of little importance. As already noted, in this case titles do not need to be joined to blood linage but in honor of the positions itself and not the position holder. The Kingdom of Bardust recommends to leave the names as is. Secondly, the notion that high populated nations get more votes is supported by Bardust in that those country has a higher stake in the issue at hand. The policy that is of some question is the 3 votes given to the princely members, it is my recommendation it limit it 2 votes regardless of their home countries population."

Archduchess Daphne then began to explain the gift that the Prime Minister Brown and King Wilfrid II had packaged for the alliance, "as the I and the Kingdom of Bardust have been so graciously admitted into this wonderful union of monarchies his majesty and prime minister wish to present the alliance with the "Alliance House" estate to be used as the residence and administrative center for the Imperial Ambassador. The 45 acre estate will be designated as property of the alliance and longer subject to the Bardust crown but the greater community. Her Majesty Queen Dona, Queen-Consort, will also like to personally name the dinning room as the "ambassadors table" in honour Imperial Ambassador and their hard work to promote the alliance to the international community. Bardust ask if you accept these gifts."

Cerce stood and lead an applause for Daphne's contribution to the alliance. After such, he stated; "My fellow monarchs, dictators, despots, emperors and empresses, please, accept my humble appology. I have contorted on what we must discuss - the more pressing matters at hand, that of a founding notation and rights of alliance members - with mere word plays. My most sincerest appologies, I tend to ramble on and forget other's interest in stead of my own. Lady Daphne, you represent great honor in your generous donation. And, furthormore..." Cerce saw the child king leave with an aid, and he took pity on him, remembering his first battle against his father's forces at the age of 14. "Um... May I be excused? There is something that needs attending..."

Cerce's cell phone rang. He forgot about the child king for the moment. "I'm sorry, excuse me, I must take this. Urgent international buisiness to attend to."

Cerce walked off and went to the first bathroom he saw (OOC: If there is no bathroom available, let's just say he went outside, far away from the meeting). He opened his cell phone. "Cerce here." he said simply. "Make this quick, I don't like to be maid a fool of or to interupt such urgent matters lightly."

"Um... Sir? We've recieved an ultimatum from Comorostan in response to our attacks against the Jihad in our country." said Nick, the high General of the Cerantian Military. "We are to step down, dissassemble the current Empire in favor of their own, and cooperate with any occupying forces 'or face the consequences'."

"Ah, fuck..." said Cerce. "Now we got a Big Daddy in the mix. If they have even 5% of their population in their army, we won't stand a chance. It's common kowledge that we are 30 years behind in technology. But they don't know our newest discovery. I'm faxing it to you now, Nick." Suddenly, the printer next to Nick in Fort Sarka, Sarka City. It showed intriquete diagrams of a massive airborne battleship.

"I got it at the Alliance foundation. A... gift from a fellow monarch. Don't worry, I paid him well as not to tarnish our good name. God, this is getting way out of proportion. Did you kill any muslim you saw, or just those armed with intent against Cerantia?"

"Just those armed who fired at us, my Liege." repplied Nick. "Apparently, they think it is a mass murder for religious and ethnick purposes. I thought you made it clear that this was a retaliation against terrorist attacks?"

"I thought I did as well, but apparently there is some form of 'peacefull' negotioation that we could have met. Hell, we will always anger someone. If I would have repealed the 'Gay Rights Act', Gays and New Olwe would be pissed. If I would put down the terrorists, Comorostan and others like it are gonna get pissed. If we leave them well enough allone, they eventually will have another bomb go off-"

A large *BOOOM* is heard from outside the door to the bunker. Dust particles flew up from the air and chunks of the cielling fell. "I rest my case." said the Cerce. "How the hell do we fix this? You know what, Nick? Send them a message. Send one of the 4 ICBM's right in the middle of their navy, and we'll see how powerfull a navy they have. And if they send nukes in retalliation, nuke the 3 highest population points in Comorostan. Tell Comorostan to step down on my behalf or face such consequences. And save the tactical nukes for last - we can outfit them in the stealth bombers if the ICBM's don't do the trick quick enough."

"Um... Sir?" said Nick. "How many tactical nukes do we have? 4, if I remember correctly, that were left over from The Parthian War?"

"10. You remembered the stealth bombers, but the 6 in CT-U boats you apparently forgot." repplied Eugene. "As I said, outfit them last. Recall all troops save that of the paratroopers I issued you. One threat at a time." Cerce sighed, and said as if to himself, "Lead the country first, pray it all works out later... You are dismissed, High General."

"Yes, my Liege. Hail Tentones!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To Whom It May Concern;

It has come to my attention that enemy forces are gathered outside of the Cerantian border, showing signs of aggrivation. We of Cerantia would like to remind those concerned that this is none of your concerned, and therefore should not be concerned with Cerantian happenings. This is not a mass genocide; This is retaliation against a group of organized terrorists within the Cerantian border who act against the will of the Cerantian government which, contrary to popular Outsider belief, is fully capable of running the most honorable, gloryfull, and powerfull country within all of Sarkom. We would also like to mention to the concerned that a nukelear launch test will be occuring shortly, and that a large collection of boats are within the blast radius. It would be greatly appreciated if they moved. The launch coordinates are subject to change based on the movement of said boats, depending on the rate of aggression as determined by the Cerce. Again, this is not against the entire Muslim population, but the 7% of the Muslim population whom name themselves the 'Jihad' and arm themselves against us withought just cause or provocation. Again, we are simply retaliating against this group in just the same fasion as we would retaliate against a country that shows aggression towards Cerantia, which is swiftly, withought mercy or moral restriction, and with all weapons available - that is, if they do not step down.
I hope that you can understand our impass here. Our current predicament is this: The Jihad members wish for us to denounce our national religion, and to denounce the Gay Rights Proclamation, or face the consequences. Our allies wish for us to remain independant in our choice of national religion, as they themselves do not appreciate the sepperation of church and state, and they wish for us to maintain the Gay Rights Proclamation so as to further the rights of sentient kind, be it human or otherwise. Finally, those concerned who are probobly reading this and the afore mentioned forwarning of an imminent nukelear launch test, wish for us to step down, end this fighting against those who will not stop fighting as long as we hold our Christian values, to demilitarize our nation in a time of great distress and almost imminent war, and to replace the very government that has ruled effeciently and with the majority support for the last 1700 years. We of Cerantia will not jeaprodize our values as people for the sake of convinience or for the sake of religious persecution, which is what is happening when the Jihad members run suicide bombs in the 4 largest Christian churches in Cerantia, or for the sake of occupation. We of Cerantia will hold to our own. Let this, and the affore mentioned nuclear weapons test, be known to all concerned, who should not be concerned with affairs that are not ther own.

Sincerely,

~Cerce Eugene Maria Danielson Tentones
