Additionally, it's a one-liner, and he's completely missing the fact that it drives up prices for the rich far more than the poor.

Category: Free Trade

Strength: Strong

DEFINES VAT Tax as: a consumption tax that is imposed on every step of production and at final sale;

ENCOURAGES the manufacture and sale of goods and services between nations;

RECOGNIZES that many lesser-developed nations are taken advantage of by corporations and other more-developed nations;

ESTABLISHES the World Assembly Commission for Fair Trade (WACFT) to aid both developing and developed nations in securing a fair global economy;

AUTHORIZES the WACFT to:

a) Investigate and put both developing and developed nations on trial when it is discovered that they are taking advantage of another nation;

b) Investigate and, if found necessary, authorize nations to impose trade sanctions, if a nation is found to have an unfair import tax system;

c) Accept optional donations from willing nations to give to lesser-developed nations in the hopes that it will be used to improve their economy;

NOTING that for most nations, a tax on imports is necessary to ensure their economy is competitive;

AFFIRMS the right of nations to impose a small VAT tax on imports;

LIMITS the WACFT to be able to do only what is stated in this resolution unless allowed by all nations involved during a trial;

REQUIRES the WACFT to hold a non-mandatory meeting for all member nations on the future of fair trade no less than once every 3 years;

WA nations do not form committees. Gnomes do. Whole thing doesn't do much of anything, either.

Gambling Advocacy Act

A resolution to legalize or outlaw gambling.

Category: Gambling

Legalize/Outlaw: Legalize

Proposed by: Nykielia X

Description: This proposal is designed with the intent to legalize gambling worldwide. The worldwide legalization of gambling would stimulate the global economy by increasing domestic spending and strengthening one of the world's strongest industries, the casino industry. This legislation would also increase global civil rights by giving people the ability to gamble, a right that citizens are denied in some regions. Gambling also is a way to determine who is smart and who is poor. Also, it would give the police more time to focus on real crimes instead of wasting their time to find illegal gambling. We could also reduce the size of the police force, and reduce federal spending.

In conclusion:

-increased civil rights
-stronger economy
-lower crime rates

3. once cancer is cured this can stop fully and will no longer be mandatory to invest money into reaserch.

4.during this time the goverment will have to raise taxes by 15% to have the extra money to put into this research

Mandating domestic taxation policies.

Also, 25% of an entire nations GDF ( they do say ALL money) is just an idiotic number pulled straight from the backside.

"Bloody stupid" doesn't adequately describe the idiocy of this proposal.

The Cyber-Terrorism Act

A resolution to improve world security by boosting police and military budgets.

Category: International Security

Strength: Significant

Proposed by: Fran3

Description: To: The World Assembly.

UNDERSTANDING that cyber-terrorism can be used in seemingly positive ways, such as to stop monopolies and halt terrorism.

REALIZING that certain nations may use some form of cyber-terrorism to strengthen their economy ex. countering piracy, black market profits.

KNOWING that cyber-terrorism can be very dangerous if and when used improperly.

The Cyber-Terrorism act will be put in place in-order to:

1. BAN the use of cyber-terrorism for any purpose unless approved by the World Assembly.

2. Define cyber-terrorism as "the act of stealing data, invading the privacy of citizens, installing/sending harmful viruses and/or programs, sending or doing anything else harmful or dangerous in order to spread fear and terror to a certain nation, region and/or social group.

3. BAN the creation, usage or distribution of cyber-terrorism programs, files, materials, etc.

4. Instill a international, anti-cyberterrorits committee in order to minimize the effects of cyber-terrorism, both current and future, to a minimum.

1 and 3 seems contradictory. Also, how is the WA going to "approve" cyber terrorism? That appears to be metagaming.
Everything you know about me is wrong. Or a rumor. Something like that.
