Nuclear Weapons Regulations

Postby Thomasadionia » Mon Nov 14, 2016 4:31 pm

I think nuclear regulations are important. Every country in the General Assembly should be banned from making nuclear weapons and the General assembly should have monthly inspections to make sure no country is making or attempting to make any nuclear weapons.

Thank you for your time
Sincerely the Kingdom of Thomasadionia

OOC: Hey there and welcome to the GA forum!

What you have there now, isn't much of a draft, and I suggest you search this thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=30 with the search word "nuclear" to find the existing resolutions (repealed ones have been stricken out) that currently touch in nuclear weapons (and nuclear power, since those are sometimes linked).

And what about the nations that already HAVE nuclear weapons?

Nuclear Weapons Regulations

Postby Reichtum der Reichtumer » Thu Nov 17, 2016 5:11 pm

I think this isn't a good idea because if countries don't have nuclear and atomic weapons, how are we supposed to defend ourselves from countries we can't transport soldiers to?

Before continuing, I recommend you read GA #10: Nuclear Arms Possession Act, which reserves the right to member states to have nukes to use defensively. It's a popular repeal target, but I have seen only one attempt actually make it to vote, where it was stomped.
In=character, Kaboomlandia is a World Assembly member and abides by its resolutions. If this nation isn't in the WA, it's for practical reasons.
