(proposal) repeal animial abuse

Postby Salazarstan » Tue May 24, 2016 9:42 am

Okay enough is enough, we will fatten our cows and over feed our pigs as much as we like soldiers need that extra meat to fight for salazarstan.

So without due haste i propose a [proposal=]repeal of preventing animal abuse.[/proposal] based on the fallowing base points and sound proof logic.

1) Man is superior and has dominion over the earth and animals only live to service as pets or as live stock and to say the have rights would mean to grant them person hood however they don't do anything productive other then from what they are trained to do such as give milk, meat ect.

2) An animal has no personalty such as an human as do and they can't fully express or fathom the feelings they feel towards their so called counter parts.

3) Animals are savages, there is no need to explain my view point on this.

so with that in mind this why i think my proposal is valid and you should support my proposal.

I think you should 1) read the proposal rules and then 2) read the resolution you're trying to repeal and then 3) write an actual proposal and lastly 4) spell-check it thoroughly.

OOC: You didn't submit it (at least yet), so you did the right thing to post it here. If you submit too many illegal proposals, you may lose the right to be in or rejoin the WA on that account.

Apologies for absences, non-COVID health issues leave me with very little energy at times.

The ambassador lifts a comically large rubber stamp from his pocket (OOC: they're bigger on the inside, and they're kind of necessary so that one can fit in the elevator) that is visibly dripping with red ink. An aide whispers in his ear.
"Ah yes, I seem to have forgotten that. Very well."
He puts the stamp back in his pocket and takes out a smaller one. He then presses it firmly onto the proposal at his desk. When it is lifted off the paper, it leaves a dark red "X".
"Very well then. Let's get down to the why."

"If you don't like it, plant protein crops. In fact, I'd recommend that because it takes up far less water."

"You do know what 'haste' means, right? By the looks of how you're using it, I can infer that it probably means the exact opposite of what you think it means."
Salazarstan wrote:[proposal=]repeal of preventing animal abuse.[/proposal]

OOC: that tag is used for linking to already-submitted WA proposals. Not marking your proposal. Use [box] for that.
Salazarstan wrote:based on the fallowing base points and sound proof logic.

"As you'll see, it isn't soundproof in any way."
Salazarstan wrote:1) Man is superior

 "Bears Armed. Need I say more?"
Salazarstan wrote:and has dominion over the earth

OOC: NS =/= Earth.
Salazarstan wrote:animals only live to service as pets or as live stock

"Bears Armed again."
Salazarstan wrote:and to say the(y?) have rights would mean to grant them person hood

"Giving something rights =/= giving it personhood."
Salazarstan wrote:however they don't do anything productive other then from what they are trained to do

"Of course, neither can people in society…"
Salazarstan wrote:2) An animal has no personalty such as an human CIVILISED ENTITY as do has

"Then explain how their brains are so similar."
Salazarstan wrote:and they can't fully express or fathom the feelings they feel towards their so called counter parts.

"You know, at least not in a way that science can understand."
Salazarstan wrote:3) Animals are savages

"I'm pretty sure that last I checked a kitten was not a savage."
Salazarstan wrote:there is no need to explain my view point on this.

"I agree. There is no need. However, that does not mean that you shouldn't."

"Perhaps you should consider additional language courses prior to drafting any legislation, Ambassador?"

Salazarstan wrote:1) Man is superior

"To... what, exactly? In any case, the truth of such a statement rests heavily on one's perspective, and membership in Humanity."

Salazarstan wrote:and has dominion over the earth and animals only live to service as pets or as live stock and to say the have rights would mean to grant them person hood however they don't do anything productive other then from what they are trained to do such as give milk, meat ect.

"This Legislation does not grant such creatures personhood. Merely perhaps overzealous prevention of abuses of lesser forms of life."

Salazarstan wrote:2) An animal has no personalty such as an human as do and they can't fully express or fathom the feelings they feel towards their so called counter parts.

"Ambassador, if you are attempting to explain the difference between Sentient and Sapient life, you are failing."

Salazarstan wrote:3) Animals are savages, there is no need to explain my view point on this.

"Ambassador, from the perspective of the Imperium, your people are savages. Primitive, uneducated, and, if you are any indication, largely illiterate. Of course, the Imperium is a Civilization that spans dozens of Solar Systems, and commands powers likely seen only in your fiction, so perhaps our measurements are biased."

Salazarstan wrote:so with that in mind this why i think my proposal is valid and you should support my proposal.

"No, your 'proposal' is incredibly illegal, and almost childlike in its reasoning. The Secretariat would remove it from consideration long before vote, without a second thought."
