Category: Education and Creativity

Area of Effect: Educational

Proposed by: The Anti kabeb league

The idea is to turn off certin light soures that cause major light polition. This event would begin at 8:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm. This event would show the beauty of the universe to the young and old of every nation.

The benifets:
1. This event would hopefully inspire the children of the nation to go to college and become part of any nations space agency to help people get to the satres

2. This event would also be a time where both parent and chiled would look at the stares and try to Look for new stares, or look at the constellations.

Plus it's nice just to sit down, calm down and look at the stars.

Education Matters

A resolution to promote funding and the development of education and the arts.

Category: Education and Creativity

Area of Effect: Educational

Proposed by: Freedoli

Description: We need to have education. Some may ask why, that reason is Friends. I can’t think of anything more luxurious than spending every day with my friends.
Free knowledge for English, Maths, Geography, History, Art, and lots of other subjects. What a bargain!
Exercise. . But at school, sport was compulsory -- twice a week we I now realize that this was a good thing! Without compulsory sport, you become very lazy...
Bunsen burners. Unless you become a scientist, it’s unlikely that you will encounter Bunsen burners (or, indeed, other pieces of scientific equipment) in your post-school life. What a shame!
Holidays. Christmas, Easter,, and, of course, the jackpot: the summer holidays. There was always a holiday to look forwards to at school. Time to ride your bike, to sit around watching films, to have sleepovers, and then the last day to do your homework.
Teachers. Believe it or not, I miss teachers. Okay, so they give homework and they make you stick to the rules. But they also share their knowledge with you and help you get to the right answer. When you no longer have teachers, you have to find the answers all by yourself!
Resources. School had all the resources I could have asked for: books and paper and glue and paint and bats and balls. possibilities.

National Pride Act
A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Category: Environmental
Industry Affected: All Businesses

Proposed by: Nazigermany1934

Description: 1. Everyone must have a program for youth to learn about a nations rich history and culture
2. Encouragement in the form of lowered taxes and benefits for those who participate in environmental activism to protect the homeland
3. Outlaw hunting for sport, we must preserve our great lands as our leader would say
4. Harsh punishments and fines for those that abuse animals or break these laws

"Our leader" may be branding. The rest is just nonsense.

And contradiction of at least two existing resolutions...

Mandatory Sexual Education Act

A resolution to promote funding and the development of education and the arts.

Category: Education and Creativity

Area of Effect: Educational

Proposed by: Asgralia

Description: Description: The purpose of this act is to ensure that all public school students of specified ages are given access to factual, educational, non-threatening material in regards to sexual education.

ACKNOWLEDGING- That due to certain cultural/religious/personal beliefs, many people encourage "abstinence-only" lessons for minors. However, "Comprehensive" Sex Education has proven to be more effective in terms of reducing the number of teenage pregnancies worldwide, and the spread of sexually-transmitted infections, as well as making minors feel more comfortable and informed about their bodies.

ESTABLISHING- That all public schools include comprehensive Sex Education as part of their course curriculum, for those aged 10 to 18 years old.

CLARIFYING- The aspects of the act

1) The curriculum must give students accurate information on STIs, teen pregnancy, reproductive rights, pubescence, sexuality, gender identity, human anatomy, and methods of birth control. For those between the ages of 10 and 13 years old, only information on pubescence, sexuality, gender identity, and human anatomy are required. For students aged 13 and up, the curriculum must include lessons on STIs, teenage pregnancy, reproductive rights, and birth control as well. Age-appropriateness should be taken into consideration when planning how to approach each topic.

2) Parents may exempt their children from the entire course through contacting the school. Children may be excused from a particular lesson if they find the material to be upsetting, offensive, or distressing. Every effort should be made to accommodate modest children who are embarrassed by course materials, such as not requiring such students to answer a given question out loud. Students excused from the required course will be required to take a standard health course instead. Students asking to be excused from a particular lesson may sit in the hallway outside of the classroom or go to a designated study hall at the discretion of the teacher.

3) This course will not advocate underage sexual activity. Instead, this course will make the children aware of the emotional and physical risks of underage sexuality, and will instruct them how to look out for their best interests. Class materials should be factual, non-threatening, and thorough. However, pornographic content is strictly prohibited; this includes pornographic videos, images, writings, and other visuals.

4) It is not mandatory for private education to systems to offer Sex Education lessons, but encouraged nonetheless.

HEREBY- Establishes mandatory Comprehensive Sexual Education curriculum in public schools worldwide.

A resolution to promote funding and the development of education and the arts.

Category: Education and Creativity

Area of Effect: Cultural Heritage

Proposed by: Anglo-Canadian commonwealth

Description: DEFINING 5D chip as a storage technology made out of Nano-structured glass, whose function is to save and guard information and data.

IMPRESSED by the capacity of the 5D chip to hold 360 TB/disc of data, to withstand temperatures up to 1,000°C or 1832ºF and too possess a durability of approximately 13.8 billion years.

EXPLAINING heritage as any revenant of any type of knowledge, such as science, history, literacy, arts, architecture or philosophy.

HOPING that this resolution push country's to use the 5D storage data, thanks to its durability and reliability, compared to others forms of storage, such as paper archives or electronic documents.

PROPOSE:

1) The member nations to fund the use of 5D storage chip too guard all information about our heritage.

3) Too protect all places with this data, under any means necessary, depending of the social/political situation of the country.

Repeal "Toxic Heavy Metals Act"
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal
Resolution: GA#371
Proposed by: Jaxxistan

Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #371: Toxic Heavy Metals Act (Category: Environmental; Industry Affected: All Businesses) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: Why should we allow some corrupt oversight and insane "internation laws"? We should start by repealing all so called "laws" formed by the WA majority to opress the minority, then continue to repeal "International laws".

After this law is repealed, I propose we repeal "The Laws of Land Warfare" and all enviromental idiocy the WA has been up to. We should no longer allow the majority to opress the minority.

Repeal "Reproductive Education Act"

A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: GA#369

Proposed by: Junkind

Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #369: Reproductive Education Act (Category: Education and Creativity; Area of Effect: Educational) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: This act is invasive, offensive, and detrimental to the understanding held between the WA and its participating members. It has always been crucial that the WA remains respectful of the diversity of its members - this act puts many nations in a position where they feel the only way to maintain their religious or cultural values is to leave the WA.

The WA is important to protect human rights, encourage peace, and dissolve corruption, and preserve the environment; but NOT to involve itself in the education system of its member nations.

Some believe that teaching young people about the reproductive system corrupts their minds. To some, it is frowned upon by their religions.

Regardless of what we believe is scientific fact, regardless of our personal opinions, and regardless of our personal religious or cultural values, the act must be removed for its implications and steps away from religious and cultural neutrality.

No. It isn't. The NatSov argument is 'this should be repealed because national sovereignty'. This one is 'this should be repealed due to adverse consequences on industrial production'.

Prevention of Genocide

A resolution to restrict civil freedoms in the interest of moral decency.

Category: Moral Decency

Strength: Significant

Proposed by: SherpDaWerp

Description: This resolution hereby:

Defines genocide as:

a An act committed with the intention to harm or kill members of a specific ethnic or racial group
b Forcing conditions on such a group calculated to bring harm to members of the group
c Deliberately causing mental harm to members of said group

Prohibits committing genocide as detailed above

Provides an exception to the definition above:

In wartime conditions, members of the military forces of both nations are allowed to commit genocide as detailed under a, provided that they are committing genocide against members of the opposition's military

Requires that all WA member nations take action to prevent nations from committing genocide

a With the exception to nations who are committed to peace and do not have a military
b Said nations who do not have a military must provide information on genocidal nations to other WA member nations

All nations who are found to be committing genocide must undergo:

a Either a change of leadership
b Or a removal of their military force and prohibition from making a military force

Already covered by Convention Against Genocide
Everything you know about me is wrong. Or a rumor. Something like that.

It's there because the author realised that with his simply bad definition for genocide, he would also be outlawing wars.

Finish Eradicating Smallpox

A resolution to modify universal standards of healthcare.

Category: Health

Area of Effect: Research

Proposed by: Kollan

Description: The World Assembly,
Applauding the near-total eradication of smallpox in the late 1970's,

Observing the extreme mortality and suffering that have accompanied past epidemics of this extremely contagious disease,

Horrified that some nations are known to have found and/or kept samples of smallpox in laboratories (example: Russia's VECTOR lab) and have not destroyed said samples,

Troubled by mysterious reports of smallpox-like diseases in the developing world,

Disturbed by the threat to global health a smallpox escape or resurgence would pose,

And pointing out that since the presence of smallpox in the world is now minuscule (but is nevertheless a danger), an attempt to destroy said presence would be much less expensive than last time around,

Hereby proposes to mount a global initiative to eradicate the remnants of smallpox around the world.

Repeal "Prevention of Torture"

A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: GA#9

Proposed by: Redneck Nation of America

Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #9: Prevention of Torture (Category: Human Rights; Strength: Strong) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: The World Assembly,

DEFINES torture as physical, sexual, or psychological abuse, forced maintenance of physically uncomfortable positions, such as stress positions or forced standing, sensory deprivation such as long time exposure to bright lights (which can cause serious sleeping problems and can also be used as a form of mind control), subjection to intrusive noise, such as noise that is continuous or excessively loud, deprivation of adequate food and water and sleep, denial of necessary medical care, denial of right to religious observance, attempts to reduce physical or mental capacity, even where not causing pain or severe discomfort or suffering.

RECOGNIZES that torture can inflict permanent mental and/or physical damage to someone,

OBSERVES that nobody has mentioned the benefits that can come out of torture,

ACKNOWLEDGES that torture is not always the answer,

DECLARES that torture should only be used in extreme acts of terrorism, genocide, biological attacks, and any other attack where there is a significant loss of life,

PROHIBITS the use of torture in any other circumstance than the ones that have been listed above,

PREVENTS any evidence collected from unlawful torture to be used in court unless it is against the torturer,

ALLOWS investigators to find the same evidence that was found in a case of wrongful torture from a different source,

REQUIRES every interrogation conducted by authorities to be recorded by cameras and microphones to bring justice to the victims of wrongful torture,

URGES nations to see that evidence can be collected faster, thereby saving precious time and money, by using torture,

PROPOSES that wrongful torture should be punishable by life in jail or with the death penalty.

Legislating in a repeal
