Yes you are. If you have been around as long as you say you have you would know this. There is probably a reason why there is a campaign running against it. It is a piece of shit proposal, and you have been told that more than once.

Yes, I do know how to read. That makes sense, if it was the other Pacific one. I remember getting two delegate telegrams at roughly the same time so I could have gotten them confused.

It is an international issue when the main buyers of palm oils are countries which do not produce it! It is an international issue when people are dying from clouds of pollution caused by palm oil cultivation! It is an international issue when species which are considered to be endangered by the international communoty are being killed due to palm oil cultivation! It is an international issue when rainforests which are highly important as they are the lungs of the world, are being burned down to grow palm oil plantations!

"Voting seems to have ended with 2 short of being allowable. It has not reached Quorum thank the Gods. This is no where near an International Issue and should be up to individual nations to worry about. Some nations that have Palm oil harvesting do so sustainable without cause for concern for this August Body, so why should we make this an International Issue?"

This is a National Issue that, if you want this specific oil banned, do it within your own National Borders. Yeah, no. The animals themselves are already protected by other WA resolutions, I believe, and, more importantly, there are a lot more factors to deforestation than fukken palm oil (for one, people need land to farm needed food, and for another, people need wood to build things and to make paper). This is stupid, and I really, really wonder if we should still be a part of this Assembly if this got through the radar. More points:

ECOGNISING the fact that palm oil is an important fat source for the world's population due to its affordability,

ACKNOWLEDGING the immense environmental and rainforest destruction and pollution that palm oil production, both legal and illegal, produces, Which could be very easily controlled without dismantling an entire industry such as this.

SADDENED by the unnecessary deaths and displacements of humans, orangutangs, and animals which are caused by palm oil production, See not-italicized point.

REALISING that palm oil is an exceptionally unhealthy fat, being entirely saturated fat, which has been linked to heart disease, Another point that's weird: So what? We should ban bacon, cheese, butter, coconut oil, etc. too?

KNOWING that palm oil is only used due to its affordability,

ACKNOWLEDGING that there are other affordable alternatives, many of which are healthier and have less of a detrimental effect towards the environment:Sure, there are affordable alternatives, but would palm oil be an "important fat source for the world's population" if they were significantly more affordable than palm oil? Your logic is pretty flawed here.
