Cognizant that the provisions of this resolution do apply to all member nation's sea ports.

Hereby granting, all member nations access to sea ports.

Indeed. As much as Nooky (new nickname) talks about wishing to improve, we haven't been able to properly address that significant and probably most important flaw.

I don't think this proposal doesn't do enough to warrant a vote on the floor. As I understand it, without this resolution, free trade can happen anyways.

A resolution to reduce barriers to free trade and commerce.

Aware that no international legislation currently governs member nations having access to sea ports.

Convinced that allowing member nations to have access to sea ports will ensure the stability and the advancement of shipping and other services. Thereby, improving international trade and commerce.

The World Assembly,

Mandates the articles below:

Article I

Section I Definitions

1. A sea port is a location on a coast or shore containing one or more harbors where ships can dock and transfer citizens or cargo to or from land.

2. Defines access as the permission or the right to enter, get near, or make use of the member nation's sea port.

Article II

Section 1 What access to sea ports will allow member nations;

1.Free trade with other member nations of choice.

2.More income for member nations.

3.Reduced barriers to allow free trade.

4.The power to turn away ships remains with the nation's government. Member nations are allowed to turn away whoever they want and whenever they want for any reason.

Cognizant that the provisions of this resolution do apply to all member nation's sea ports.

Hereby granting, all member nations access to sea ports.

"Ambassador, this proposal does 100% nothing. It "opens" sea ports up, but then gives the government the right to deny anybody. Opposed."

I don't think this will or should go through. The WA shouldn't have control over our ports and well, the idea of it is quite frankly, stupid. Who would vote in favour of this?
