Postby Bergnovinaia » Sun Jun 20, 2010 9:23 pm

If you wish to participate in this or any ITA tournament, please register here: http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=50253

The purpose of this thread is to give both newbies and experienced players a chance to RP the results of matches (and not in tournament format). All scorinating will be done my me (at least for the time being unless other ITA committee members want to help) using Schia's scorinator... if you'd like to arrange a friendly match, simply comment here and if someone responds, please comment again so I can get around to scorinating your match. Feel free to RP however you'd like.

Arranged matches for today:

Womens Singles:
Angela Tucci (The Andromeda Islands) vs. Molly Geppner (Silver Beach)
Maria Faris (The Andromeda Islands) vs. Shaniqua Williams (Silver Beach)

Loooking for matches:
Shontelle White (All women's Singles)
Kyle Livingston, James Miller (All men's singles).

It had been a long time since Howard Knoff and Robert Wesley had played doubles together. Howard, the son of acclaimed tennis coach Louis Knoff, had always been pushed to play singles, but never made it far in that type of tennis. He consistantly struggled with moving around the court and hence, lost many of his singles matches. He was on the verge of quitting tennis entirely until he met his friend and doubles partner, Robert Wesley, while attending university of Bergnovinaia, Hourk. Howard and Robert both played extremely well together, winning several major Bergnovinaian local tournaments. Eventually the two climbed all the way to the top of the Bergnovinaian doubles tennis rankings.

The two, even though they have practiced a lot recently, knew they were up for a tough match.

Ivan Crush knew he was in for the match of his life... he was playing up and coming Karl Hanberg of Soviet Enartio. Ivan has been playing quite horribly in recent matches, only winning a couple matches so far at the Scott Cup in Delaclava. His forehand is breaking down, and due to his lack of service power recently, Ivan has been losing major points (set and breaks specifically). He's hoping to turn this around today against his opponet.

Golo'Mekk vas Usela and Zaal'raan vas Morhen are to play in a friendly match against Bergnovinaia tomorrow. Both players are some of the best single players on the Usela and Morhen. This will be an interesting match seeing as they are fairly recently paired up, but they seem to work quite well together. Golo'Mekk vas Usela is the son of Admiral Zaal'Koris vas Qwib Qwib of the Quarian Admiralty Board who was also a tennis player before hanging up his raquet and going into politics. Zaal'raan vas Morhen is the son of Han'Gerarl vas Idenna, it is not know wheither Han'Gerarl has any tennis experience, but it is certain Zaal'raan does. For full story see sports on D7

Karl Hanberg looked at Ivan with the look of a tiger , Karl Hanberg wasn't so new to the sport and had some experience. He held his racket and was chewing on a toothpick, then he looked to the crowd who was holding Soviet enartio and Bergnovinaia flags. He nodded to the various fans and looked back at ivan and spit out the tooth pick and looked at him once more fierce. he stepped up and shouted "I must break your fame"

Tennis Friendly Mathces--Bergnovinaia Loses both Matches in Straight Sets

Yesterday, Ivan lost his singles Match to Karl Hamberg of Soviet Entario in straight sets 6-1, 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-3). This was Ivan's first international friendly match in association with the newly founded ITA.

"I'm not quite sure what happend," said Ivan after his match. "It wasn't like I was bad. Karl was really good. I guess I could have and should have won more points, especially those in the tie breaker. Fortunately, this doesn't count toward my ranking.

Howard Knoff and Robert Wesley also both lost their match 6-1. 7-5, 6-3.

"Huh..." commented Howard. " Robert and I played horrible. The other players hit several balls down the middle and we weren't communicating. My serve broke down too, and I lost several of our own service games.

The scores:
Golo'Mekk vas Usela and Zaal'raan vas Morhen--(MQF) def. Howard Knoff and Robert Wesley--(BER) 6-1, 7-5, 6-3
Karl Hamberg--(MQF) def. Ivan Crush--(BER) 6-1, 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-3).

OOC: I recommend you RP. (I'm not going to at the moment because I think I already have enough experience and I have to tend to some other matters. I'll RP after I scorinate).

The people of Wewtlandem were in a frenzy. Even to a newly introduced sport, Tennis, Wewtlandem was a rising star. Reveno Morishto was like a national hero. People cried his name, and he was newspapers across the country. Many companies paid Reveno to endorse their products, which had over the top sales after the ads would air on TV.
