It's an oval, without qualifying, and without a picture...

Welcome to NS Sports!
You can't actually fully host a race as we have a central host (the WGPC) who generates all the results. However, you can submit a race for use on the WGPC calendar. Guidelines on how to make a circuit signup are found in the OP.
If you're really new, I reccomend reading the "guide to sports roleplaying" which is found at the top of the main NS Sports forum page.
Enjoy!

NAME: R.L. Cruisin
GENDER: Male
NATIONALITY: Vilita
TRIGRAM: VIL
NUMBER: 51
ABILITY: (5/4/3)

BIO: R.L. Cruisin is an experienced WGPC veteran looking to enter his 4th WGPC season. During the previous campaign, WGPC 13, Cruisin performed admirally on an under-power Frontiere Racing team, recording pole position in Audioslavia (New Lap Record) and the teams home race in Yttribia, as well a runner-up finish at the Grand Prix of Turori. More impressively, however, Cruisin was able to use his experience to outlast the field and take the checkered flag at the SinoCom Han Grand Prix.

Prior to that, Cruisin had second fiddle to Vilita & Turori Motorsports teammate and World Champion Stang Crax during WGPC 11. While Cruisin would win his share of races during the season, it was Crax who would take home the title for Vilita & Turori. Cruisin was elevated to the primary seat during WGPC 12 as Crax left the team, but suffered a drop in the standings, from 4th down to 9th place and a best finish of 3rd place at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course before the team went on a hiatus from WGPC vehicle production and its older vehicles fell out of spec.

During WGPC 14, Cruisin joined forces with Carvenlo-Franklin racing and while Cruisin slipped to 7th in the final drivers standings, During the course of the season, Cruisin claimed Pole Position in Krytenia, Aels and Dunpa while winning the Grand Prix of Liventia.
Cruisin has a strong following in Vilita and is likely able to attract corporate support from Vilitan affiliated entities.

NAME: iBen Toralmintii
GENDER: Male
NATIONALITY: Turori
TRIGRAM: TUR
NUMBER: 77
ABILITY: (3.25/5/3.75)

BIO: Turori's most famed motorsports personality, Toralmintii has been out of the seat for over a season, serving as the focal point of the advancement of motorsports interests in the Island Emirate as a whole instead of the advancement of his personal career. Riding the wave of popularity following his triumph as champion of the International Super Formula Championship, Toralmintii was instrumental in getting the Eelandii Grand Prix Circuit added to the World Grand Prix Championship calendar. Toralmintii, who designed the course as well as the Grand Prix modifications to the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course in Vilita, was mulling official retirement as a driver but, after seeing his course in action during World Grand Prix Championship 12, the legendary Turorian returned during World Grand Prix Championship 14 and came home second in the final driver standings behind only his Vilita & Turori Motorsports teammate Terho Talvela.

CITY/TOWN: Rockii Coast
COUNTRY: Vilita
NAME OF GRAND PRIX: Vilitan Grand Prix
TRACK RATING: (7/3)
QUALIFYING TYPE: Traditional
LAP RECORD: 1:25.440 (Stang Crax, WGPC 11)
LENGTH OF ONE LAP: 5.05km

BIO: Located in the picturesque region of Vilitan right overlooking the waters of Atlantian Oceania, the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course was carved out of the Rocks on Vilita's Rockii Coast and offers a unique challenge to all drivers. Originally more of a wide-open high intensity speed park, The Grand Prix modification of the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course wass a new addition to the facility in preperation for its inclusion in World Grand Prix Championship 11. While Acceleration and Mechanical Power will be a great equalizer on much of the course, the Grand Prix boot designed by Turorian legend iBen Toralmintii mid-way through the course gives those with the ability to make maneuvers in tight spaces a chance to shine as well.

NAME OF CIRCUIT: Eelandii Grand Prix Course
Image

CITY/TOWN: Eelandii
COUNTRY: Turori
NAME OF GRAND PRIX: Grand Prix of Turori
TRACK RATING: (5/5)
QUALIFYING TYPE: Two-Tier
LAP RECORD: 1:22.409 (Jai Kardaeri, WGPC 12)
LENGTH OF ONE LAP: 5.19km

BIO: The Eelandii Grand Prix was held for the first time during WGPC 13. The Eelandii Grand Prix Course opened just prior to WGPC 12 and held an official test session during WGPC 12 that served as a predecessor the the courses inclusion on the official schedule one season later.

Eelandii, an officially unrecognized city according to the official map of Turori, is located between the capital of Almintora and the center of sport in Cednia. The city was stood up prior to the World Cup 63 Finals hosted in Turori with the creation of a brand new state of the art sporting complex for football and athletics known as Eels Park. Looking to expand Eelandii's reputation as a 'center of sport' for the Island Emirate, the Eelandii Grand Prix circuit broke ground following the completion of the World Cup 63 finals in the shadows of Eels Park, the home of the Turori National Association Football team.

The track has also previously hosted a round of the International Super Formula Championship.

TEAM NAME: Vilita & Turori Motorsports
RATING: (4.8/4.2/3)
HEADQUARTERS: Rockii Coast, Vilita (Development and test Mirror facility in Eelandii, Turori)
RACING COLOURS: Jet Black, Charcoal with Vilitan Cove Blue, Jungle Teal, Tropicorp Tangerine & Eelskin Brown Trim
BIO: Former WGPC power houses V&T won the WGPC 11 championship with driver Stang Crax of Falcania while finishing 2nd in the constructors title to Carvenlo. After losing a step and dropping in the WGPC 12 standings, Vilita & Turori Motorsports fell behind in their development for WGPC 13 and its drivers dispersed to join other teams. With funding from Tropicorp and private entities, the team, which had shifted their focus to supporting the domestic series and the NSFC series, made a late push to develop a technologically advanced prototype for WGPC 14. The engineers put the final touches on the car only weeks before the start of the season but quickly proved to be a contender with both Terho Talvela and iBen Toralmintii securing early-season victories. The two would trade podium finishes throughout the season, clinching the Constructors Title for V&T and ultimately, finishing 1-2 in the drivers standings for the first time in team history. The team will return for WGPC 15 with an evolved version of their WGPC 14 chassis.

NAME: Mick Schramm
GENDER: male
NATIONALITY: West-East Timorian
TRIGRAM: WET
NUMBER: 20
ABILITY: 4.5/3.5/4
BIO: Born in 1993 in Isnalkorvburg, West-East Timor, Mick Schramm started in kart racing, driving his first kart race at the age of 8. When he was 12 he won the West-East Timorian First Kart Championship in his class, just like the two years after. At the age of 15, he drove his first race in the Formula WET4, a junior series, which he won the next year. After that, Schramm drove for the little team Urlash Racing in Formula WET3, and surprisingly won the championship. Next year he got a drive at the same team in Formula 2WET and got 5th. Then, in 2011, Mick signed at Little Cheese Racing, the junior team of Formula WET1 top team "WET Cheese by Nick Newman" in Formula 2WET. He won the championship and in 2012 and at the age of 19 he drove his first season in the prestigious Formula WET1 for Neumayer Racing, as team mate of Bernd Neumayer, whose father owns Neumayer Racing and is a good friend of Nick Newman. He got 10th in the championship and changed to WET Cheese for the next season, in which he got second, what was no surprise, because his team mate were the experienced driver Michael Proose. But in 2014 Schramm won with a difference of 50 points between him and his team mate. The following two years he did it again, and so won Formula WET three times in a row now, which is the reason he's looking for a bigger challenge.

NAME: Timo Jänkirinää
GENDER: male
NATIONALITY: West-East Timorian
TRIGRAM: WET
NUMBER: 15
ABILITY: 5/4/2
BIO: Timo Jänkirinää was born in Osin in 1997. He started karting at the age of 7, becoming second in his class of the West-East Timorian Karting Championship two consecutive years at the age of 13/14, and winning it at 15. The next year, he started in Formula WET4, becoming 6th in his first year, and winning one race. The following year, at the age of 17, he got a seat at the Kalrir Racing Team in Formula WET3, and finished the season in second place. But nevertheless, he is considered a brilliant driver, taking many risks, what was the reason why he couldn't win the Championship, and so, he signed at Urlash Racing in Formula WET1. In his first season, he becane 15th in the Championship with five points, what is a lot considering Urlash Racing is (even though they are succesfull in Formula WET3), not the strongest team, and his teammate Alkinio Thinguang couldn't score any points at all. Therefor, in his second season, he got a seat at Neumayer Racing, finishing 3rd in the Championship and winning several races. He now is looking for a WGPC drive, wanting to become the best West-East Timorian Racing Driver of all times. Quite much, for a land whose national sport is motorsport...

NAME OF CIRCUIT: New Dili City Circuit
CITY/TOWN: New Dili
COUNTRY: West-East Timor
NAME OF GRAND PRIX: Omnidirectional Grand Prix of West-East Timor
TRACK RATING: 6/4
QUALIFYING TYPE: Two-Tier
LAP RECORD: 1:28:907 (non-WGPC)
LENGTH OF ONE LAP: 5.536 km
BIO:

New Dili City Circuit is the oldest racing circuit in West-East Timor. It is located in West-East Timor's Capital City of New Dili, or better: West-East Timor's Capital City of New Dili is located around it. New Dili City Circuit was built in the early days of the colonisation of West-East Timor, when motorsport was already popular (even though cars where not that fast yet [and yes, they already had cars]) in West-East Timor, as West-East Timor Circuit, outside the town of New Dili. When more racing circuits were built in the omnidirectional republic, it was renamed New Dili Circuit, and since the city of New Dili expanded around it, it is called New Dili City Circuit. Since the racing series exists, the first and the final race of West-East Timor's first formula racing series, Formula WET1, are held on the circuit, and we have seen some brilliant races in that racing series on this circuit. As it is located in the Capital City of probably one of the most motosport enthusiastic countrys in the world, a WGPC Grand Prix there would most likely be sold out in a day.

The track has got 17 corners, though some say it only has 15 corners, as they don't count the high-speed corners 11 and 12 as actual corners. This caused lots of discussions about how to define a corner, if you should define a corner at all, if you need corners at all, and why corners are called corners and not "thing which goes to the right or the left", and some of these discussions were not really constructive, more...destructive. But officially, corners 11 and 12 are named corners 11 and 12, and therefor are considered corners...

Kurt is a determined and powerful racer from the southwestern AO country. At just 27, he's already made national history. TEAM NAME: Wilson Grand Prix Engineering (Wilson-Tickford)
RATING: (A/C/R) 4/4/4
TEAM OWNER: Clara Wilson
TEAM PRINCIPAL: Michael Dewhurst
HEADQUARTERS: Tickford Technology Centre, Ousevale, Krytenia
RACING COLOURS: White and sky blue
BIO: Cygnus ATR had...a poor season to say the least in Season 14. The team at the Technology Centre blamed the (Cygnus-led) CAD chassis, the boys in Bromham blamed the Tickford engine...sometime over the course of the close season, all hell broke loose. Clara Wilson, CEO of Tickford Automotive, withdrew supply of engines to Cygnus ATR and evicted them from the Technology Centre. Together with erstwhile ATR team boss Mike Dewhurst, they'll be starting a new team from scratch. They have the car - though untested - they have the engines...all they need now is the cash. And drivers.

NAME: Esteban Guilhermez
GENDER: Male
AGE: 22
NATIONALITY: Krytenian
TRIGRAM: KRY
NUMBER: 29
ABILITY (A/T/R): 2/5/5

BIO: A development driver who won the Formula Tickford series in Krytenia concurrent. Guilhermez isn't the flash, boy-racer type, but rather gets his kicks from feeling his way around the nuances of the car. This technical driving style earned him much respect from the ATR team in Season 13, as his ability to feed back useful information during practice helped the team get the most out of a somewhat average car. Of course, Season 14's car was such a dog that not even he could help.

NAME OF CIRCUIT: Argentring
CITY/TOWN: Noton (actually Platton, which is a village; Noton is the nearest town of any significant size)
COUNTRY: Krytenia
NAME OF GRAND PRIX: Grand Prix of Krytenia
TRACK RATING: (5/5)
QUALIFYING: Two-Tier
LAP RECORD: 1m 28.385s (Esteban Guilhermez, ATR, WGPC 13 Testing)
LENGTH OF ONE LAP: 4.160km
DESCRIPTION: A nice mix of wide track and tricky corners, the Argentring has been the premier venue of Krytenia's domestic racing scene for many years. After some upgrades prior to WGPC13, the circuit made its debut on the international scene last season. Let's run down a lap, shall we?

Your tour starts at Heath Chicane. The tight third gear right-hander will sort out the men from the boys at the cars scream down the start-finish straight ; if you can find a line to overtake here, the left-hander that follows can be taken at acceleration speed. A nice zoom along the straight brings you to the test of bravery that is Redwater - dare you go flat out at close to 170mph, or do you play it safe and lift? Either way, you'll be slowing down for the left-right kink of the Gatehouse Chicane. Next up is The Spit. This will test neck muscles as the drivers tap the brakes for the first part of the corner, then mash the throttle as the turn unwinds into the Auld Runway back straight.

The so called "Stadium Section" is next; The Farm Chicane is a brake tester, whilst Paddock, Newell, and Beveridge are all nice wide turns with plenty of chance to overtake. The Esses, meanwhile, have been the scene of many a crash as the open, winding turns give the illusion of more space than there actually is. Check your wing mirrors. Hard on the brakes through the Point hairpin, as cars used to 150mph+ speeds are forced to slow to around forty.

The final sector starts with the tricky double-apex right-hander at R2. It's speed versus gravity as the cars go uphill to the tight right-left at the Hill Chicane, over the crest and downhill through the slightly misnomered Crest Corner (which is actually on the downhill slope). A nice sweeping downhill corner - Sweepdown - takes us back to level ground and the finish line.

TEAM NAME: Rumble Strip Racing
RATING: (4/4/4)
TEAM PRINCIPAL: Enrique Vildemar
HEADQUARTERS: Ojian, Taeshan
RACING COLORS: Green and Grey

After years of failure in Salvatore F1's attempts to reach the World Grand Prix as a team a new challenger has taken over the spot as top Taeshani F1 team. Led by a cutthroat Enrique Vildemar, and with Oliver Bliss the team managed to win the Taeshani F1 season after the last Grand Prix series, and with that they have looked beyond the islands to the World.

NAME: Oliver Bliss
GENDER: Male
NATIONALITY:Taeshani
TRIGRAM:TAE

ABILITY: (3/5/4)
BIO:Oliver Bliss turned out to be much better of a driver than much of the world thought during the last campaign. He was part of a duo at MSA-Sinval racing that saw the young Eastfield Lodge team finish 3rd in the Constructor's Championship. The fiery young Taeshani went on to win his home nations top F1 prize and once against sets his sites on the world. While finishing a distant 9th, and 12 points behind teammate, Louis Krindle, in the last campaign Bliss seems ready to return to the international scene and once again prove to be the best Taeshani driver in the sport ever.

In the last season Oliver finished 4th in Eastfield Lodge, 2nd in Liventia, 4th in Mattijana, and 4th in San Jose Guayabal.

NAME: Alexandra Mayari
GENDER: Female, feline-humanoid cross
NATIONALITY: Nekoni
TRIGRAM: NEK
NUMBER: 74
ABILITY: (Aggression/Technique/Reliability) 3.5|3.5|5
BIO: 2016 was not Alexandra Mayari's year. After a dream sophomore season, clinching the championship in the last race of the season, her fortunes dramatically inverted for the fourteenth season, never troubling the podium, and finishing in a humiliating 20th place: though, this was no thanks to her kidnapping halfway through the season by the bitter ex-principal of Scuderia FeG, Christian Fatali. He is out of the picture now, and after a strenuous off-season, Alex can get her head fully back in the game.

This will be the 26-year-old's fourth season, and she has everything to prove. With wildly inconsistent results (two of the three season finishes being outside the top 10), and a whole host of DNFs throughout, her main target for this season is reliability, a skill that seemed so abundant back in the slower local leagues of Formula Nekoni.

Her behaviour off the track has adapted too. Gone are both the cigarettes and alcohol, as in their place, the mental gain from an exerting training session is stress relieving enough. The media appearances were kept to a minimum, particularly after the furore of her brush with death a few months ago. Her championship win, she believed, had come too soon, and she had reveled in the celebrity of the victory too much without thinking about sustaining her success in her actual job.

Alex's driving style is now more refined then ever. Where in previous years she may have taken unnecessary risks, she now calmly assesses the situation and forms a plan before attacking. Whilst this may make for less exciting racing, it gets the job done. After all, a dull race victory is of more worth than a dramatic retirement.

NAME OF CIRCUIT: Nova Valley Circuit (Endurance Layout II)
CITY/TOWN: Novareza
COUNTRY: Nekoni
NAME OF GRAND PRIX: Alvareo-Solera Gran Premio di Nékoni
TRACK RATING: 4/6
QUALIFYING TYPE: Traditional
LAP RECORD: 1'45.705
LENGTH OF ONE LAP: 5.830km
BIO: Due to financial difficulties imposed by a noise restriction limiting the number of days the track can be open for, the Nekoni International Circuit has had no choice but to back out of hosting the Grand Prix of Nekoni. However, with two seperate tracks sufficiently graded for WGPC racing, a bidding war ensued between the Circuito di Derneo (host of the Nekoni round of the inaugural season of the International Super Formula Championship) and the new Nova Valley Circuit, which was earmarked to host the prestigious 9hrs of Nekoni race that sadly never materialised due to a delay in completion of the track. Thanks to securing the sponsorship of the Alvareo-Solera financial company, the latter won out, and updated its circuit some more to accomodate high-speed racing, namely the addition of a fearsome-looking 220-degree left hander halfway through the track. The original track is still usable, and can be switched with the new variant easily.

A fiendishly challenging track, set in the valleys and mountains 25 miles north of the city of Novareza, this track is both a nightmare to drive and to set up the car efficiently, with three seperate straights of between 650 and 800 metres long contrasting with sharp hairpins and elevation changes. A lack of easy overtaking opportunities coupled with a tendency to rain makes this track one that will make drivers truly earn their place on the podium, and one where good qualifying will be crucial. The start/finish straight leads to a slow, slightly downhill left-hander baring the name of the track's sponsor, into a succession of left and right bends, where the road undulates around the hills, which gives its nickname of 'Snake Road'. From here, we get to the driver's first real challenge: the Esprit S, a two part trial in which the entry left hander is a blind apex. Drivers who can judge the entry line effectively are rewarded with the best possible run through the banked right hander, setting the car up for a quick blast down the straight.

The Montalbani hairpin is next, the tightest, slowest turn on the course. The exit of the hairpin is marked by the mouth of the Nova Valley itself, with a rocky wall to its right waiting to trap those with lead feet who accelerate too soon out of Montalbani. A 780 metre straight section follows, where originally, the track turned leftwards into a triangular complex which is visible above. These roads and the current layout's overpass are paved together to transform this part of the straight into a small tunnel to obscure the light, as if the track wasn't tough enough. Speaking of tough, the new section is next, a long, rising 220-degree left hander which circles the archaeological site of the Novale Amphitheatre, which was constructed over 2000 years ago before being felled centuries later.

Crossing over the back straight, the latter half of the track continues with Talbene, a deceptively tricky kink on the crest of a hill. The fast section here is slightly widened, against the wishes of the original track developer, which allows easier entry into the medium-speed turn 12. From here, drivers attack the slower turn 13 right into the even slower Burino hairpin left hander. The next straight, a touch over 650 metres in length, straightens the track out for the final chicane and pit left-hander surrounding a large gravel trap to catch anyone who dares knock off early.

With fifty-three laps to take down in the valleys of South Nekoni, it's going to be a long afternoon...

TEAM NAME: SFeG (Scuderia Fuoco e Ghiaccio)
TEAM PRINCIPAL: Francesco Rabandt
HEADQUARTERS: Neocastella, Nekoni
RACING COLOURS: Metallic silver (#e0e0e0), orange (#ffaa00) and Nekoni blue (#1884ba)
RATING: 3.5|3.5|5
BIO: The second album is always the most difficult. After pulling a Cinderella story to win out of nothing in their maiden season, of course expectations were high. People didn't expect them to win twice...but they didn't expect them to do as badly as they did. Whilst the morale wasn't as badly hit as their first few races under the hot-tempered Fatali, lackluster races, and the mysterious disappearance of their First Driver, la Scuderia could only muster up a lowly ninth out of 13, with neither Mayari or Gardner gracing the top ten.

Undeterred, the team have licked their wounds better, and are trying again, with the aim of the season being much more consistent finishing, and many more footsteps on the podium. The car is visually unchanged, save for a symbolic 'black mark' on the spoiler number as a self-imposed reminder, but the underneath is drastically altered. The engine still produces 970hp, but much needed changes to the electronic system ensures that all of the horses get to where they need to be, the moment they need to be there. The brakes, a constant thorn in the team's side last year, have been re-designed, with the brake pad durability increased. The car's weight has been reduced by a significant margin, too, enabling a decisively faster acceleration time from 0-100. In short, this is the FeGII.1-Tenebrae: the car that last season's car should have been.
