Vukasin Milic stepped out of the taxi he took to the garage his Mazda RX-7 Type R FD3S was being upgraded and tuned up at. As his left foot touched down on the ground, he immediately put his right foot down after, and slammed the door of the Volga taxi shut, the driver of the vehicle driving away afterwards. On top of the front entrance to the shop was a large sign reading ”VOLSAVNI AUTOMOBILE PARTS, UPGRADES, AND MAINTENANCE”. Simeon Volsavni, a good friend of Vukasin, owned the shop after inheriting it from his deceased father. Whenever Vukasin needed any upgrades or repairs done on his cars, this is the very first place that came to mind. Ever since he began street racing, Simeon has always had his back and although he does not race himself, he does keep a close eye on anything to do with it.
Vukasin opened the front door of the shop, the bells strung to the glass door rang to alert whoever was inside that a customer has arrived. He could already hear the loud hip hop music blasting from Simeon’s stereo inside his shop. It appeared that he was busy in the back garage at the moment, as he was not at the front where he usually was. Most customers generally aren’t permitted to be in the garage area, however Vukasin was a special exception. As soon as he walked through the doorway with old, dirty, and mildly transparent rubber strips hanging from the top he immediately saw his RX-7 ready for use again, but not Simeon himself. Upon closer inspection however, he saw him rolled under another car, which appeared to be a tuned Honda S2000. Vukasin made his way over to his friend.
“Knock knock.” He said sarcastically to Simeon. Immediately his friend stopped what he was doing and put whatever tools he was using at the time aside.
“Yeah, hold on…” Simeon grunted as he pushed himself from underneath the rear of the car.
“Still haven’t been bothered to hit the gym I see?” Vukasin mocked his friend, who was somewhat out of shape. One of the first features that others noticed about him was his motorbike handle moustache, somewhat large build, and how he was almost on the verge of being overweight.
“Oh, piss off with that crap.” Simeon replied sternly with a smile on his face, as he shoved Vukasin back lightly with his dirty hand, playfully of course.
“I see my car is ready over there?” Vukasin replied, glancing at what he knew was the best car he’s ever used for races on the mountain passes of Zolevskoy.
“Yup, the new Apexi suspension and springs you wanted are installed. Your normal day to day rides with it will be a lot smoother now.” Simeon told his best friend. “I also made some tune-ups to your ride and such. Your experience in driving and racing is gonna be a lot better than it was before you brought it in now.”
Vukasin smiled and nodded. “Great. Thanks Simeon, I wouldn’t have gone to anybody else to do this.”
“No problem man. Here are your keys, now get home safely.” Simeon told Vukasin as he held out the ignition keys for his RX-7. Just as he took them out of Simeon’s hands, he began speaking again.
“Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Tonight there’s a racing meet at the Askilnov touge. There’ll be a decent crowd there from what I know; it should be a fun night if you ask me. Not too difficult of a track since it’s a downhill one and the corners aren’t too intense; and this time they’ll be racing from the south to the north instead of the opposite. I might go and spectate it too. You down?” Simeon proposed to Vukasin.
“Yeah, I knew about it already. It’s why I was hoping you’d get the upgrades and tuning for my Mazda done quickly.” Vukasin said, chuckling a bit afterwards.
“Good deal, hope to see you there bro. If you got any issues let me know. See you later.” Simeon said, as he bowed to Vukasin as he walked away. Simeon was always an interesting character, never failing to mock him quite intensely, and he almost never failed to make him chuckle with his really bad jokes. Nevertheless, Vukasin got into his RX-7 as his mechanic friend opened one of the garage doors. He turned the ignition for his car on and the sound of the 20B-REW triple rotor rotary engine, its turbocharger, and its boost system collided with his eardrums. It was never not music to his ears. He took the parking brake off, put his car into first gear, and held down the clutch as he drove out of the garage, and made his way home. He planned on resting before the race later that night so that he could pay as much attention as possible, considering touge races were always far riskier than highway races.

As Vukasin was driving towards the top of the Pakao mountain pass in his Mazda RX-7, he decided to get in some warm-up time in as he was making his way. When he reached where the finish line of the night would be in the downhill races, he began to hone his drifting skills, driving at speeds as high as 120 km/h. Since the Pakao pass was his most frequently visited track he had learned everything about the keys to victory on it, including the brake zones for drifting, the speeds he should maintain on each area, areas he could take advantage of to get ahead of his opponent or widen the gap between them, and even where the gutters were to pull off his gutter run tactic.
All of his knowledge of the track and street racing was almost second nature to him by now, even when he did his best to focus not crashing into a guard rail even at extremely fast/dangerous speeds. Some of his friends such as Simeon often compared his instincts to the level of a superhuman’s. Although it was often flattering, Vukasin generally regarded himself as an average street racer, especially on the windy and risky mountain passes. Vukasin’s thoughts in his mind were almost dead silent, unlike usual. Ironically enough, he generally talked to himself a lot more than usual when he was practicing or otherwise warming up his skills. Despite many of his peers and friends generally advising him to get into a better habit of not doing it as much, Vukasin never really bothered to listen. He had no issue with it, and if he had no issue with it, he was content.
At last though, after about 12 (posts) minutes of constant drifting and driving, he could see the parking lot which was mostly used by tourists and photographers during the daytime. But tonight, just like every other night where a race was hosted, the lot was filled with spectators and racers alike, with their muscle cars and tuners imported from all sort of corners of the world talking and showing off. Vukasin entered the parking lot and decided to park beside a slightly modified 2008Infinity G35. Once he parked his RX-7, he turned the ignition off, activated the parking brake, and stepped out onto the pavement. As he shut the driver’s door behind him he began walking around looking for an ideal opponent for the night. On almost all occasions, he doesn’t come to these races to sit around and admire someone’s driving skills or their car. He came to race, and whether someone challenged him or if he challenged someone, he didn’t care.
